A little back story...last week my 2 year old son had his first experience "sharing" Mommy with other children. This may sound strange but to explain...I assisted my daycare provider while she was out of town. I had several children at my home for an entire week. As you can guess, my son struggled sharing his toys, his Mom, and his home with several other children for that extended period of time. That's a lot for a 2 year old to understand. My husband came home early on Friday to take him out of the house for a bit and help him unwind. My son requested to go "look at tools" at the hardware store (yes he is ALL BOY). So, they went to wander around Lowe's in Castle Rock. While at Lowe's, they were approached by Amy (I wish I knew her last name) who asked if they needed assistance. When my husband explained they were only looking, and that my son had a rough week, Amy took them back to "Santa's Workshop" and set them up to build a wooden truck together. This ABSOLULTEY made my son's day. He is so proud of what he and daddy made together and he continues to talk about it a week later. To Amy: I can't thank you enough for being so kind to my family during a toddler crisis that seems so small to us adults, but was a HUGE deal to my son. Your kindness lifted his spirit and made him feel special when he needed it most. Because of you, his attitude and mood was completely changed from sadness and frustration to pride and happiness. To Lowe's Senior Leaders: I want you to know that Amy recognized our family, assisted to help us, and even when she learned that our plan was only to "look around", she still treated my son and husband with courtesy and compassion. Because of Amy, your store will be our first choice for every home related purchase going forward. Thank you for being the kind of business who recognizes people as they are...customers with families, needs and feelings...no matter how small. I decided to take on the project of painting the interior of my entire house. I started with the kitchen, and decided to do that cool faux painting... I found the employees (some not all) to not know a thing about paint. They also stopped carrying one of the products I was using, which was disappointing. On the upside, their paint selection is much larger than Home Depot, but maybe I should check out Sherwin Williams next. read more

I've gotten awesome customer service at this location. While I didn't actually get the correct size I needed, I did get help locating the parts in question. That can be difficult in any big box home improvement location. Truthfully it could be that my timing was good, but I was grateful for the help regardless and will likely be back for other home repair needs. read more

I like this store more than it's competitor. It carried a hanging upside down tomato plant, which I went to all nearby grocery stores and stores that carried garden plants. It carried chips for a tregger, when it's nearby competitor said that we would have to go to Franktown to find some. Lowes had em!! This location carries a lot of variety in products. Went to this store to buy a custom made shower door. Went through all of their steps, selecting the door, have their installer come out and measure and confirm the final price, went back to the store paid for the updated "detail expectation sheet" on 6/19/2020. Signed one copy of bid acceptance and received another copy for my files. Was told that Loews would contact Arizona Shower company and let them know that we have made the purchase, and that it would be ready in about 2 wks. Never heard anything more so called back on 7/6, and the order had never been submitted. They said that they were waiting for my confirmation, yet they had my paid in full receipt. Why would I pay for the door in full if I didn't want it. Rather than admitting that someone just didn't do their job to make sure the paperwork was sent to the glass company, I got a song and dance on the phone. "I'm going to send it over right now and I'll note that you verbally approved it over the phone..."...DUH!!! With company coming we needed that extra bath, but too late now. I WOULD NOT recommend using Loews. Find out who their contractor/supplier is and go direct. Why let them make a profit when they do nothing to earn it. Bob Lowry read more

I have ordered items through Lowe's a couple of times now, and dealt with Dave in the special order department. In almost every occasion, my orders have arrived on time, and I have received a call when the order has arrived. In the one case where there was an issue with my order, Lowe's did everything they could to make it right, even refunded the money I paid for the items. read more

I hardly ever give 5 stars but I was thoroughly impressed with the Castle Rock Lowes. Very nice store outside and in. Wide variety of products and most importantly, the staff was very helpful. Even got me a large cart to truck my large items. I will make the 30 minute drive to Lowes Castle Rock for most of my large purchases. read more

Lorenzo and Ron P. went out of their way to help us find a small item we needed last week. Both were working on stocking shelves and filling out reports and immediately stopped what they were doing to make sure we found exactly what we needed. Ron even went across the store to get a lift to check all the top shelves of stock to try to find a simple electric adapter we needed. Worst experience ever buying carpet. We received a voicemail saying our measurement was in an to go ahead and come in to select the carpet and get the estimate. They left the hours on the voicemail saying when they would be available. When we went in we couldn't find anyone in the flooring department so we waited an asked a couple of other associates who went to look for someone. We were told that they were out to lunch and would return in 20 minutes. When we returned in 20 minutes still no one in flooring so we ask another associate 'Barry' if anyone was working in flooring today. He curtly responded with "Do I look like I work in Flooring? Look at my badge it says Electronics not flooring." Not a single other soul was willing to help us so we left. I really don't know what to do next. I guess I'll call back another day but this experience sucked bad. read more

Ive ALWAYS been a Lowe's customer mainly because I am a general contractor and these are the differences between home depot. 1. When I walk in, I am greeted by my first name at Lowe's everytime. I actually feel like they value my business. Dave and Bud go out of their way everytime to make sure I am happy with my purchases. Home Depot does not give that kind of relationship. 2. Their return policy is phenomenal!!! Never had an issue!!! 3. Their parking and the traffic location is WAY better than HD for sure. read more

Never anyone that will check you out...only self check out open and must lift 25lbs bags to scan and then scanner will hold until someone then checks on you. This Lowe's is pretty good for what it is, but I've had similar experiences to previous reviewers with the help. The staff here don't seem to be as knowledgeable as at the nearby Home Depot, so I usually go to Lowe's only when I'm sure I can get what I need by myself. Over the past week, I've had 2 occasions where I needed to purchase ice melt due to winter storms in the area. Both times my first call was to Lowe's and both times they were out of stock. Came in had them send out installer to evaluate and price a simple shower door. A week later they can't find any of the information even with is having a printed copy of their order. Stand around the plumbing department waiting for help while numerous employees wonder around. 15-20 minutes of waiting two different days to get a manager or anyone to help and still no resolution. I noticed after I purchased it the greenwood village store had it for 49.99 I paid 74.49...so I called to price match THIER OWN COMPANY... I was told no... Each manager decides the prices and discounts ... Sounds strange for a large corporation... Especially since it's the same state 20 min away! Lowe's doesn't care about customer service. Had an issue with a countertop installation. Will admit I had my husband meet for measuring and installation and that was my fault because he signed documents where the installer marked items off that we wanted and my hubby didn't look at the paperwork closely. However, I contacted Colorado Countertops about the issue prior to any product being made or installed. They ignored my emails and I did not get what I requested. Colorado Countertops would not own the situation because we signed paperwork. The completely ignored any fault on their part and the fact that they ignored correspondence from me. I felt like from the beginning going with Lowe's and their 3rd party vendor could be an issue. It was because everyone wants to point fingers at everyone else and no one wants to take responsibility. I came up with a solution where both parties would take responsibility for what happened. I would buy the product and they would install it. Lowe's didn't want to have anything to do with my idea. They offered me a 10% discount on installation. Are you kidding?! How about you take more than 10% of the blame. The worst customer service around!!!!! Save yourself the heartache and go to Home Depot. read more

I am extremely frustrated. I ordered a wall oven approximately 6 weeks ago. I asked for the unit to be delivered. Despite calling in excess of ten times the store is still unable to give me a date for install. The unit continues to sit in the store and the Lowes team negligently falls to follow up or communicate.... The crew that came out to measure/detail was out 7 days ago and now my existing oven door does not close correctly. If you need an appliance installed it is overwhelmingly clear that Lowes is NOT the place to shop. Still no oven and still no timeline.... Extremely disappointed and wishing that I went anywhere else!! read more

I give this Lowe's 5 stars because it has got to be the most dog friendly place in castle rock and I always leave with what I went in for. I take my puppy here and half the staff knows him by name. As with any big box store you get good people in good departments. I did a basement finish using this lowes as my primary source of building needs. The pro desk manager David "Dave" has always answered my tough questions that would stump dept employees. Tim in millwork was awesome, helping special order windows and doors. Wayne in plumbing is a very knowledgable plumber who helped me through my numerous needs. A few faces in electrical and tile that I do not know the names off hand were great as well. This isn't our first experience with their poor customer service but felt it was time to voice our displeasure. Tonight, we asked a Lowe's employee for help pulling the box for the Gazebo we wanted. He pawned us off to another employee working in the Patio section. The only gentleman working in the section was busy so we waited around for about 10 minutes & he was still busy. We went to the Customer Service desk, and when I say Customer Service, I say that term loosely, we asked if there was someone else who could help us. They looked at each other and then at the schedule and told us no, Anthony was the only person in that section. Meanwhile, there were plenty of employees standing around. We politely told them that's fine, we can go to Home Depot and they said 'okay'. I guess they don't mind their business walking out the door. It's unfortunate we've dropped $10k+ in home renovations at Lowe's in the past couple of months to have such poor 'customer service' time and time again. read more

I came in the other day looking to buy some wood for a DIY frame project (I've had not so great experiences in the past with customer service). This time was different. ZACH from the lumber department was so incredibly helpful, not only did he cut my wood down to size, but he offered me tips for sanding, and spent extra time making sure every piece fit together perfectly!!! This has changed my mind about shopping here, and I look forward to coming back for my next project. read more

We wanted to make a cage in order to hold all of our Valentines balloons and they took the time to help us figure it out and cut the pvc pipes. Lowe's has been fine for small purchases relating to home improvement projects but I won't buy another major appliance from them. We bought a washer and dryer from them about six months ago and the dryer has broken three times. Lowe's refuses to replace it and continues to have their outsourced repair company a & e Factory Service repeatedly. Each time a & e comes, they tell us they have to order parts and we wait for days/weeks and then have to schedule another appointment. These appointments are always four hour windows during the work day, so we continue to miss work for them. a & e has all the parts shipped to our house and we're supposed to inventory them. When they came again this morning and the guy asks me what's wrong with it and what has previously been repaired. I told him I didn't know and said they have a record of it. No apparently it's our job as the customer to remember the details of each repair and keep track of all the receipts and inventory lists they've given us. This is the worst customer service I've ever encountered. read more

Went and took a pic of price- they couldn't fix it. The Lowes in Castle Rock Colorado should be a case study in poor customer service. We went in on a quiet weeknight and purchased a dishwasher. We purchased installation service. We were told we would receive a call the next day from a schedular to set up installation. Two days later we get a call saying we will get a cal from the installer on when they would come. Three days later, we call Lowes to say no one has called to actually schedule. The next day we get a call. My husband answered. The person on the line says "yeah, I got a text saying to call this number." Really? REALLY? No, hello I'm calling about your install? No name offered? Well, we establish why he called and he tells us he will call back later or the next morning to, and this is a quote "when I can come by". I now feel like they think they are doing a favor not providing a service we paid for. And of course he didn't call until two days later - a Sunday. He says he will be by Monday between three and five. At quarter till five he called and said he was running at least 1/2 behind. My husband declined his services. He then called Lowes and was issued a refund. But does the fun stop? Of course not. I get an email of the refund receipt and low and behold, they didn't issue a full refund. They skipped right over an entire item. Now why the person performing the task couldn't take a moment to notice the totals were different is beyond me. Other than attention to detail and basic math skills seem to be as poor as the customer service. So I call on a Tuesday late morning. The gal answering listens to my problem and says she will call me back in 20 minutes because she has 3 customers. Why? Why did you answer the phone? No, they never called back. I call back on my drive home. The exchange is going so badly I actually arrive at the store to expedite a refund. As I walked to the customer service desk, the man working there...walked away. He stood for several minutes talking to 2 other co-workers. So I called the store. When the phone rang he trotted over to the desk bi hung up and reminded him we just spoke on the phone. He took 5 minutes but I got the refund. It wasn't a lot, but absolutely would Lowes get one penny from me. Not now: not ever. read more

I bought an appliance suite in January. The refrigerator was delivered with a ding in the front door. The delivery team was professional enough and gave me some options, I chose to have the door replaced so they didn't have to haul it back. 2 months go by and I call to check on the status of the replacement door. I am told it is backordered it will be another 4 to 6 weeks. A month goes by and call again to follow up. This time they tell me they had forgotten to order the door, but will get it ordered and delivered as soon as possible. A month goes by and I call again. The door is back ordered for another 4 to 6 weeks. It is now mid July and the door has come in. I get a delivery scheduled for the next Friday. I get a call the day before and they tell me the delivery team will call the next morning and let me know what time they will arrive. Seriously, I wait 6 months for a door and you can't even give me 24 hours notice of when you might show up? Customer service is dead, and it is dead and buried at Lowes. read more

Don't bother with their installers. They quote much higher than what the original sales people quote. This happened with a door installation for a $2k to-be-ordered door, not cheap. Installer/measurer jacked the price from a simple install from $400 to almost $600, and then said the door quoted would not work anyhow. This is a standard door with a sidelight. I confirmed with another door contractor, and it would have indeed worked. I brought all this to the manager's attention with absolutely no recourse; he even said this is normal and his other installers were even more expensive. THEN WHY DO THEY MISLEAD CUSTOMERS WITH INSTALLATION COST. Needless to say, after $10k spent at this location over the last few years, I'll go elsewhere, including an upgrade for $6k of kitchen countertops. read more

I have been a fan of Lowe's for as long as I can remember. Everything was great until I moved to Castle Rock, CO. So far this location's Customer service has been sub par. Not in the aspect of general knowledge around the store, but in their actual online order pickup/ customer service department. I ordered something during their spring black friday event, they did not have it in stock. This was not an issue because I was assured it would arrive within a week. One week later I call and it has still not arrived and was told it would arrive one to two weeks later. I called two weeks later and was told there is no way to give an accurate arrival date because the entire state is on back order for the product. Okay fine, so the company itself was not prepared for the high volume of interest in this product. A little dissapointed with the incorrect information given but to top it off I call back today and I was told it was in store ready for pickup. I arrive to pick it up and was told that it wss not actually in store, they also still had no idea when it would arrive. I can understand when things get back ordered due to larger than expected customer demand, I do not understand why I have been repeatedly been given false information. read more

Honestly I've never had a better shopping experience. The people at Lowe's in Castle Rock--rock! The wonderful and pleasant girl in the paint department was absolutely amazing, helpful and funny; the cashiers were great, and while processing my "my Lowe's" card, another cashier chimed in to tell me about rebates, etc. In all, we had four employees giving us tips and suggestions about all the savings, etc. we could get hooked up with. My boyfriend literally says, "was everyone in there on happy pills" as we were walking through the parking lot. I'm the first person who loathes big box stores, but seriously, they were so amazing. I will most definitely go back again and again. Amazing experience! Customer service gets an A+++! read more

I needed a new wash machine immediately! I called to place an order on a Friday evening and the wash machine was delivered the next morning! The delivery guys were careful and awesome - it took less than 30 minutes to deliver my new wash machine and take out the old one. It was priced right w/ free delivery. We don't know what changed, but there is a noticeable difference from last Fall, when we were left very disappointed and thrown off by continual bad service that pushed us to the Home Depot.
