We bought a kitchen sink and paid for installation. We were told the installation would happen within a week at most, but probably within 48 hours. We got a call from the installer saying he'd be out on Sunday, exactly one week from the day we bought the sink, to measure the sink (don't know why he would need to do that, since we had already done the measuring and bought the appropriate sink). He didn't show on Sunday. We called him and he said he was only going to call to make an appointment for the following Wednesday or Thursday--going on two weeks after we bought the sink. And this isn't for installation--just some kind of measuring, even though we measured the area and bought a sink that will fit. At this point, we're going to call an independent plumber to see if we can get someone out to install the sink. I'm sure we'll have trouble getting the money back that we paid for installation, since this is obviously not a reputable company. In short: DO NOT BUY INSTALLATION OF ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE!! read more

As someone who has been a long time, Home Depot customer, I am starting to go to Lowe's more and more. The reason is, I find the customer service at Lowe's to be really great just today. I went to buy a DeWalt sander and there's seem to be priced higher than the one that I found on Amazon. The sales representative - I think his name was Elijah - then informed me that actually they were two different models, but they were still so kind to partially match the price on Amazon! Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I called Lowe's twice yesterday and nobody picked up. Today I called twice finally after approx 70 rings I asked to speak to the store manager, and they said that he was out for the day. Are you kidding me? A store as large as a Home Depot has no second manager? Then I asked for the carpeting manager - - the flooring manager, and they said there was no flooring manager. Home Depot has gotten unbearable. With the doing away of self service lines and everything under lock and key with it being impossible to find an employee to unlock it (who then grumbles that they're too busy), Lowes is more of our go to place overall. We got all our painting stuff here for our house even though Home Depot is much closer. Yeah, there are faults but its still better than Home Depot. Also Home Depot is a proud Trump supporters so I don't want to give them any of my money. Plus the parking lot here is huge and easy to get in and out which is a major plus. read more

To just ask a question, as a woman who does not shop at Home places, I got super fast and attentive service as I struggle with getting help at the 'other' place! I have to say that all went well with my BBQ purchase and delivery! Every single person was helpful and I got a great grill for a great price. The delivery was amazing, getting a text when it was about to arrive so I didn't have to wait around wondering. Went for some small odds and ends - help was fine when I asked - a typical Lowes experience. Got some window screen - if you have pets they get clawed at and broken often. Got some aluminum that should last. Large roll - not very expensive. Not the most pleasant thing to do - takes lots of time to get it to fit the right way. Was looking for a 'no soliciting' sign. I'm tired with people putting junk in my gate - I don't need that. Plumbing and pizza coupons shoved in - I don't like that. There was no such sign but I did find a bunch of letters that I could make my own with for a couple dollars. Lots of hog wire fencing if you are trying to puppy proof your back yard. Got some no dig fencing - good for a play pen. Dogs need discipline, leashes, fences and a strong pack leader. Garden center had a fan with some water spraying - good to see they care about their cashier enough to put one nearby. If air quality or heat or whatever is so bad I think I'd prefer they close the garden section for the day - once I saw a cashier out there in the CA fire season - I don't think its worth it... Overall a good experience as I've come to expect from all Lowes stores. read more

It took a half hour to drive here but this was the only store around SL that had the Graco TC Pro painter. It was worth the drive especially because of the service I received in the paint department. Two women were working hard on stocking and when I asked about the painter they both helped out. It needed to be unlocked. One went for a key and the other set up the ladder. Lowe's also has a lot of Graco products for pros and semi pros. I've been to this store many times and bought thousands of dollars worth. I can say I've ever had a bad experience here. Walked in today to buy a barbecue pit. Wanted a combo fuel briquets and gas, was willing to spend about $400. I had read online that you should check the product in the box prior to purchasing and so I did so. The item brought out to me was in a pitiful box that was broken into pieces. Inside the top of the barbecue pit was scuffed down the chrome AND IT WAS A BLACK BARBECUE! Guy that brought it out tried to say it was the bottom of the pit as if that mattered! Since we've all been stuck at home now more than ever, everyone seems to notice lots of little -- and big -- things that need fixing! That's where Lowe's comes in. Even though this location is a bit far for me, I'm glad that it's within reasonable driving distance. I also like the fact that I can order my items online -- and find items in stock at prices that are sometimes lower than Home Depot -- then schedule a pick up either curbside or walk in. Their curbside pick up is especially convenient. You just pull up to a parking spot, call the number on your order, and wait for an associate to bring out your product, and even load it into the vehicle for you. Walk in pick up at the counter is just as simple. As long as you have your order number ready, you can pick up and go in a matter of minutes. And the associates are friendly and welcoming and thank you when you complete your purchase. All of the associates who I've encountered are helpful, nice, and know about the products that they're selling and whether they're in stock. For example, I needed to purchase something really heavy in the garden department that I wouldn't be able to carry on my own. The associate not only walked me out to the garden department, but he carried the item to the register for me, and then directed another associate to carry it to my vehicle. We needed to replace our wonderful Bosch dishwasher of 17 years! We went to Lowe's as we had done a little research online. We were very quickly greeted by Yost who was working with another customer. He made sure to touch base with us and to let us know he'd be with us as soon as possible. Some of the best customer service I've received to date! He is very knowledgeable about the appliances in his department, friendly and kind. Our transaction was quick and smooth, and he knew every single thing about every single dishwasher. We inquired about The reason I am writing this review six weeks after the fact, is because we were talking about appliances at work, and my principal was talking about the excellent customer service she received at Lowe's in Concord, she says every time they remodel she seeks out Yost to help her with her appliance purchases. Although lowe's is a giant conglomerate, Yost makes one feel like they are in a small appliance store. I bought 18 LED lights to replace canned lights. Of the 18, 8 broke where the metal compression clips were attached to the light with plastic. I called the store to see if I could get a credit, and they said no. Without my receipt from 4 months ago or a phone number, they could do nothing. Our usual Home Depot has been pissing me off lately. Long entry lines, making me go BACK in line when I went to grab one of the flowers staged in the outdoor garden area, not so friendly staff...the list goes on. Imagine my delight when we pulled up to Lowe's and saw a clean, organized outdoor area and NO LINES ON A WEEKEND. Dude. And not only that, they had similar sales to Home Depot. I grabbed three more of Bonnie's herbs and veggies for $10. We were actually there for their soil sale, which was 4 bags for $10. Such a good deal. And the best part? It was so clean inside. This is by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had to deal with. We ordered a fridge two weeks ago and was told during the purchase that they had the fridge in their warehouse and it would take a week to deliver by 07/02/22 on Saturday. After waiting around all morning/day, we never received anything. We proceeded to call them in which we're stuck on hold for over 2 hours until somebody finally picked up and told me their delivery service is closed on Saturday and that they would deliver my fridge on Monday which was a federal holiday??? Obviously, I had to go down to the store to talk to me because the female I spoke to on the phone had no clue whatsoever. Once I get to the store, I'm finally told what seemed to be the truth and that the manufacture of our fridge just emailed them the day before to let them know that the fridge was out of stock. She then proceeds to tell me that she'll have the sales representative for the fridge reach out to the manufacture to try to get more information and they seem to think that's a resolution for someone who cleared out their non-functional old fridge and is using an icebox until our new fridge arrives. They are basically just trying to get me out of the store at this point to avoid having to deal with the fact that they royally screwed up. Three days later on 07/05/22, I still have not heard from them. I spend two more hours on the phone on hold and finally reach someone and they tell me that our fridge will actually be in the store the next day 07/06/22 and that someone would reach out to me either that night or the following morning with a delivery status. It's now 07/08/22, this time I've been on hold for 3 hours (literally writing this review while still on hold). I already tried calling them once today, heard someone pick up 1 hour into the hold time and started breathing on the phone and when I tried to say "Hello?" multiple times, they put be back on hold for another 30 minutes. As soon as someone picked up again and actually started speaking and I said "Hello, I'm calling about the status of the delivery on my fridge", they immediately hung up on me. Who knows at this point if I'm ever going to receive this fridge and I already had to order a smaller temp fridge after dealing with the BS from this store. I will NEVER shop here again in my entire life, nor recommend it to anyone. I honestly don't know how this shit stain of a company is still even in business with this sort of customer service. read more

Fair prices. Clean and organized store. Most stuff is In stock versus Home Depot which is usually ransacked. But certain employees make this store shine! Mike Carillo the forklift driver can literally load anything that comes on a pallet or is prepped. He smart. Friendly. Knowledgeable. And a logistics pro!!! Priya at the pro services desk. She is amazing. I haven't stood in line since I opened my account. I walk in. Tell her what I need and it's being loaded in my truck or trailer within minutes. She knows her stuff!!! Very well rounded in all aspects from sales to construction and everything in between. She should be in Managment for sure. Priya is like a mind reader. She knows what job I'm doing and must take notes because she called me about a sale the same day I needed the materials Sergio. The supervisor who also runs forklifts was a huge help. Alberto - he runs the gardening dept. He has some great advice for anyone looking to renovate and landscape. He also knows a little bit about everything in every department. A revise of my previous review Lowe's, the hardware store that you can see from Highway 4. This is the only building that doesn't have anything join them in the area. Since it opening years ago I have not seen this location fall apart (making sure the store is clean up and fully stock). Their restroom is fully clean with every sink and toilet running. I question myself when I come to this location does it attract people. It isn't busy like the Home Depot that is in Concord and Martinez. It can be quiet when you enter the building. When it isn't busy they make sure everything in fully stocked. Lowe's is still running strong in Concord. People are still buying stuff for their homes. Come by Lowe's for your home improvement needs. read more

Rave for Cynthia at Concord Lowe's hardware On March 1, 2023 Updating my wife's office closet and needed to buy a ClosetMaid organizer. Checked online. At Home Depot I found one for $179. Checked Lowe's and found one for $139, and according to the website they had 13 in stock. The website even tells me what Isle to find it on. Yippee! Off to Lowe's I go with great expectations. So I get to Isle 40 and the item was nowhere to be found. Yikes! A store clerk named Cynthia stopped by and asked if she could help. I showed her what the website said and she checked her app. She could have told me the online count was wrong and just walked away, but instead she said the organizers were in the store but not on the self service shelf where they should be. They were stored on the very top of a neighboring isle (nosebleed high). She said she would find someone to get it down. After a few minutes I looked down the main isle and saw a big forklift coming. Lowe and behold, It was Cynthia! She skillfully navigated down the isle and got my rather heavy box loaded on the lift and got it for me. Happy ending! I shop at both stores but really prefer Lowe's due to the easy parking and ease of finding good people to help. They also price match to Home Depot which helps when buying more expensive items. read more

Ordered a refrigerator and washer dryer set when we bought our house late last year. They came in, shoved the refrigerator against the wall and broke the water line that goes to the ice maker off in the wall. We were unaware until the mildew smell permeated and learned we had thousands of dollars of water damage that we had to repair. Lowe's us blamed it on their delivery company (even though we had no choice in that matter) and told us to take it up with them. Unsurprisingly, the delivery company never answers phones and when we finally got ahold of them and they asked us to send evidence (and we did) they ghosted us. Aside from wasting our time and money on some small claims court mess, we are left with no options except to never, EVER go to Lowe's again for any reason whatsoever and to tell everyone we know the same. I can't believe I haven't written a review for Lowe's yet. This is one of two big-box home improvement stores in this area. It's similar to Home Depot, the other big-box store: merchandise, customer service, prices. I lean toward Lowe's because Home Depot has dome some things with its profits that make me scratch my head and say, "Would your customers appreciate these donations?" The Meridian Park store is also a pick-up place for day laborers, and they don't bother you, but I wonder about the legality of this setup. You don't run into those at Lowe's. What I did run into is a store where I can find most things I need for fixing up the house and wood projects. I'm not one to ask for help, and so far, I haven't had to. Again, good prices. Appliances, shop around, you can probably find a better deal somewhere else. One time, I went to purchase my things, and all they had was self-checkout, which I try to NOT do. Last time, they did have at least two checkers, so I breathed a sigh of relief. I've found Lowe's to work well for me. I see in some reviews that it does not work for other Yelpers, specifically their customer service, so you may as well try it out to see how it is for you. read more

However, I brought my big golden retriever with me and he was feeling a bit too excitable and pully to walk into store on the leash! Instead I parked at the curbside and phoned Lowe's. A very nice person named Tammy responded. She was gracious and kind and upbeat. She brought out my gallon paint in a few minutes with a thoughtful "Thanks" card and moonflower seeds gift. Don't wait for a call back, visit the customer service counter!! I had manufacture warranty approved store exchange item. Manufacture said paperwork is done and wait for the phone call from Lowe's to contact me to schedule the exchange. Several weeks passed and no phone calls (within in these several weeks, manufacturers contacted and resent papers to Lowe's 3 times), I finally went to the store. My exchange order was in the system and was told they "don't usually call customers". Okay, I didn't know I was supposed to show up at the store. Now broken item is picked up and I was told to wait for a call from Lowe's to schedule the replacement delivery. No phone calls. I called several times and no one picks up my call. So I went to the counter again. They told me only manager can enter the information which needed to schedule the exchange. They said someone will "call" me. I am fed up with "call" so I asked to speak with someone and i won't leave until my delivery is scheduled. All people who helped me at the counter in the past few days were nice and tried their best to help me. Just don't wait for a phone calls if you need something to be done! read more

I have a retaining wall that I need to redo so I went into Lowes Concord this morning. I was looking for some pressure treated 4X4 posts but couldn't find the 10 footers. A young man approached me and asked if he could help and he led me to them. Then without a word he started helping me lift the posts onto my cart. I assured him I could do it myself but he insisted on helping me. Real customer service...I was so grateful...not to mention those things are HEAVY! Next I went to another aisle to get bags of fence post concrete. While lifting the bags of cement I heard a voice calling out to me. It was a cashier at the front of the store telling me that he had the same bags out in the front of the store and he would get someone to help me. I was shocked...again excellent customer service. So I paid and a young man walked me out front and loaded the 80 pound bags onto my cart. Then he followed me to my truck and loaded it all into my truck. I cannot tell you how thoroughly impressed I was with the young men that helped me today. In much of the world today customer service seems to be a thing of the past. I've had experiences at Home Depot where I thought I might grow old and die in the aisle before anyone would help me. Todays experience was exceptional and I am truly thankful for it. We purchased supplies to remodel our master bathroom etc. The staff on the floor were great very helpful and pointed/walked us to what we needed. 5 stars all day. Now the bad and why your getting 1star. So we get to checkout the lady at the register was great in/out done transaction was easy but we paid cash and needed the manager to bring change! She was new to the register and didn't get training on how the phone system and so on worked. She's new no problem. Trying to get one of her more experienced co-workers to help well good luck. I'm calling out Ryan for starters he should be fired and go work in fast food flipping burgers. I didn't hear about it until after he was rude and snapped to my wife and the lady at the register. Then the "manger " over at the return counter, please find a new job you are not good at customer service. Finally after 30 minutes we got our charge and left! P.S. We were looking for a home steam cleaner on the last trip and the selection is great. Found everything else we were looking for. Organized in a logical manner with descriptive signage so it is easy to find things. The staff is friendly. Prices are what they are. The parking lot is big and has a good enter/exit flow. read more

Waiting for help at paint desk, someone spotted me but i have not heard an announcement about help needed in the pint department and it has been 5 minutes. They are busy unpacking more product and it is only 6pm on a Friday. It is a really simple request for one gallon of paint from their paint department. Walmart has better customer service in their paint department is seems. It has been 10 minutes bow and i have seen one elderly worker struggling with the fork cart, he ran into two thing then got his target. I saw another flagger for the forklift twirling around his flags hanging out. Another customer just came up asking if they called anyone here, she has been waiting before me. Still no one.... Seen a lot of screwing around and inattentiveness to customers at least in this part of the store. Why have a paint department if you are not going to sell it... i wonder how many people have left. 20 minutes later they called a lady from her break. Sounds like no one was covering for her. January 6,2020 Eric from the executive offices of Lowes informed me today that will Lowes and Bruce will not replace or fix the door that leaks water inside when it is sprayed on. The previous door never leaked and now this one will take in constant water if it is sprayed on. What a disaster! I will never go in that store again and I will keep pursuing this. My next step is the lonews media. December 11 Our front door is still leaking and it's not resolved. Lowes came out twice and could not fix it so now there's a huge delay with an excuse stating they need the manufacturer to come out and look at it. This has going on for several months always delay by Bruce. He should've given us a refund right away or offered us a new door. But no he giving us horrible customer service and the runaround again. This is really disgusting one ... problem after another! Bruce the installation manager should be fired! October 4 I continue to have problems. Now my front exterior double door that was installed a few months ago is leaking a lot of water and doesn't close properly. Bruce, the installation manager promised he would have someone fix it within 2 to 3 days but that was almost a month ago. More lies. .... and more empty promises. Eric at Lowe's executive offices informed me that they would have a refund check in the mail for my horrible cabinet installation and it would be shipped overnight but I have not seen one. Been several days. One horrible experience after another. Can't wait till this nightmare is over. February 2020 After Eric at the executive offices informed me that they would be taking care of this several months ago now they are saying they won't cover it and will not put in a new front door or fix it. This company employs the biggest crooks I've ever come across... they are liars every single one of them. Oh, except for the installers of the door. They tried to fix it and came out twice and kept saying it's defective and that they will recommend that the doors be replaced. Lowe's still hasn't followed through. What a piece of crap company!
