We've used Lowes many times for home repairs in the past. Two weeks ago we arrived home to our toilets overflowing. We had standing water on the ground long enough for it to seep through our ceiling. We had a plumber come out let us know what was the cause of this. Long story short we did new toilets and every single bathroom in the Great!! He recommended brands of toilets to invest in. My husband called around to see who had the best price. Pretty shocking that Lowes actually came in at the lowest for the brand and we needed!! The unit included the tank toilet even the seat. I didn't think those items were sold separately but I guess they are?? Anyhoo we are Beyond so with the products. Adulting amuses me everyone's while and this is the once and a while! I submitted an online order for in store pick up at 4:45pm on a Friday (3/8/19). I had some errands to run and found myself near Lowe's around 6pm the same day. I was not notified that my items were ready, but figured I would go in and check. The pick up counter was closed and a signed told me to go to customer service. The manager working there seemed tired and was unfriendly. I explained to her why I was there and she told me it wasn't ready yet. I figured it wasn't ready, so no biggie. The store was dead. I came in with myself being 39+ weeks pregnant and my two young children. I told her I would like to pick it up anyways since I was already there. She did not offer any assistance with this. I walked out front of the store to look for a large cart because I was buying a large item that would not fit in a normal sized shopping cart. There were none. I went back in and asked the same woman where I could find them. She said since I was going to plumbing, there would be carts over there for me to use. We walked to the plumbing area -- never seeing another associate on the way and the boy cart I could find, had a shower door already on it. I found what I needed, a large shower pan and pulled it out. I walked it over to the next aisle and found a male associate. I asked him where I could find a drain. He said it was in one of the two aisles there and instructed me to walk to the end of one aisle while he looked in the other. Again, 39+ weeks pregnant, I am carrying/dragging this huge box with me and can't find the drain. I pull out my phone and find it online and discover it is two more aisles over. I explained this to the male associate and he offered no further assistance as I waddled away carrying this huge box alone. I found what I needed and proceeded to customer service where I passed two more male associates chatting near the check out area. They see me and still, no assistance offered and I have still not found a large shopping cart. I get to customer service where the unhappy manager is sitting in her office, a male associate is helping a customer do a return and a female associate is standing around. I walk up behind the other person in line and look in her direction for help. Then a couple comes into the store with a return and she immediately helps them and ignores me. Okay, so now I'm beyond irritated, I'm tired and I'm in pain. I drag the box back over to self check out and pay. The cashier offers to have a runner help me to the car. At this point, I don't want any Lowe's employees help. They don't care about seeing an extremely pregnant woman with her two young children walking around the store, carrying a large item and offer ZERO assistance. I'm appalled at this point. I decline and leave the store. Five customers are outside chatting and instantly stop their conversation when they see me and my kids and offer help. I'm almost in tears at this point for the complete and utter lack of customer service and just compassion of humankind that I experienced inside this Lowe's store. One customer helps me to my car and gets it loaded. I was very grateful and appreciative. They saw me and within five seconds realized I needed help, whereas the lazy employees at this store could careless. I will NEVER shop here again. I got in my car and cried. I'm a strong woman, a veteran, and I am used to doing things myself and not needing to ask for help. But here.... I shouldn't have had to ask for help. Shame on you Lowe's in Folsom. read more

Went in to get 5-10 gallons of paint. Their paint selection was slim, but I was standing there for about 10 minutes, and not one of the 3 employees asked if I needed any help. Even walked around to the other side of the counter to get their attention, and nothing. Ended up just walking out. read more

I bought a very expensive set of washer and dryer today. Upon arriving, I was pushed aside by another customer that arrived after me with a trivial issue. I had very little time to do my business and purchases, as I commented to the salesperson, but, regardless, was not a priority to take care of my purchases. I feel that after all the years of purchasing my appliances there, that on the future I would go elsewhere. I have been trying to buy flooring for my entire house from Lowe's for the past 2 weeks... I have never been able to get someone on the phone! I WANT to give you my money. I WANTED to continue being a super loyal, never go to HD or anywhere else for anything, Lowe's customer... but these guys blew it. Every day I have called asking if my bid was ready, and every day I am told that that person is out sick, not on the schedule, comes in later, with someone else and will call me back, they already went home for the day. Here are the calls I got: 1) we aren't done with your quote yet and I will finish it tomorrow by 5... I would call "oh they didn't come in today" 2) We have questions about where you want the hardwood floors, the carpet and the tile....answered.. we will call you back later today.. I call back... "oh they went home for the day" The ONE call where someone named Shawn said " Hey your quote is ready and I want to go over it with you"....and I couldn't talk because I was walking at that moment into a work meeting and I said I would call back in an hour... I called, "oh he's gone for the day" Can seriously NO-ONE just read me the quote off of a computer? No one!? I just dropped $16k on hardwood floors at Prestige in Roseville, $6k on carpet at Vans in Carmichael, and another $13k in tile with Russel Tile. Forget you Lowe's. read more

I don't often end up in the town of Folsom, but it's nice to visit businesses when given the opportunity, even if they are common and popular chains. We were in the vicinity of this Lowe's when we needed some replacement items for a cabinet. What's nice about chain stores such as this, is that if you have to return something, you don't have to drive to the same store you bought it at. Any Lowe's will accept returns of their products. So it just happened to be convenient to shop here while we were in the area. As expected, the interior is filled with all your home improvement and landscaping products. It is well maintained, organized and stocked with anything and everything a do-it-your selfer, handy man or general contractor hopes to find. Often, a nice alternative to shop at when competing home improvement stores don't carry or run out of what you need. We were able to find what we needed and received friendly, professional service at the check out register. Me and my Son came on a Saturday for the free "Build and Grow" program. Together we made a toy ice cream truck. This is such as cool concept. My boy loved it. I guess they do this every second and fourth Saturday of the month (10am first come first served). The event runs until supplies run out. Absolutely worst customer service! We were just here looking to purchase everything from door locks, doors, paint, paint sprayer well you get the idea (new homeowner) our first stop was their door person. There was a gentleman that greeted us by the blinds who was absolutely helpful and knowledgeable (was wearing a black Lowe's polo shirt) that guided us to this person. I waited a minute or so after he was off the phone then I said hello and nothing, then I said hello how are you again and he turned around looking annoyed. Look if you hate waking up at 7am to show up for work or you're just tired of being here, do everyone a favor and quit! So someone else can take your place that would be happy to be there. I mean this guy was something else, he was rude, very short answers and trying to talk about doors is like talking to a door So we decided to walk out. It seems Lowe's has plenty of business to disregard service. While in store service tends to be reasonable, the support from store to store for online purchases is outright crappy. After several months of research, my wife purchased a washer and dryer from Lowe's online. The order went through on Monday in which we opt'd for the delivery service over the weekend. This is where the service breaks down. We received two confirmation e-mails stating we will get a call Friday night for Saturday's deliverIES. Obviously nobody wants to wait for two deliveries for one order so naturally I immediately contacted the service center to share that we had received two e-mails. They replied stating we will receive a call Friday to establish the 2 hour window for one delivery on Saturday morning. We received a call Friday for a window of 2:30-4:30pm. While this was not the window we were hoping for, we were content thinking the deliveries were combined. They WERE NOT! AND we received a call Saturday morning confirming the delivery at 11:30-1:30. Note: there was no explanation that there were going to be two deliveries... At this point we had good faith that all purchased product would be at our home and installed by 4:45 ish. Delivery shows up at 11:45, and my wife and I are pretty happy to be half way into the day with hopes of completing errands for the rest of the day... Dryer is not on the truck and the delivery guys are clueless and wondering why we had a dryer vent with the order and no dryer... Uh, gee... Let me think... Maybe because there should be a dryer... ... ... After calling the service center at 1:15 pm, we were told the 2:30 - 4:30 pm delivery would have our dryer. So we wait... Nobody ever shows up, nobody calls. Back on the phone... 6:00 pm, and Lowe's still has no answers, no calls back, no dryer... We have collectively spent two and a half hours on the phone (mostly on hold while they "do research" to find out where the dryer is. Nobody has answers... And nobody is calling back. I don't know about anybody else, but for a family of six (4 children under 11 yrs old) to be at home on a Saturday patiently waiting for deliveries is not exactly ideal. At this time we thank our creator for giving us quality time amongst one another, however, our trust in Lowe's is low. CARPET INSTALL REVIEW 5 stars for the carpeting department!!! We had our home carpeted and was really impressed with the contractor Lowes hooked us up with. The owner Ron came out and measured. Every time we called Ron's office the phone was picked up and when the nice lady who answers didn't know she followed up right away with a phone call back. The carpet was installed by Coby and not only did he do an excellent job, he was a super nice guy!!! So impressed. If you get carpet from Folsom Lowes tell them you want Ron to do it! My understanding is that they have two installers that work for them. I'm sure they are both fine but Ron is tried and true! I would give 5 stars except this rating goes to all of Lowes. What's not to love about Lowe's? All your home improvement needs and more. The service is always great here and each time I learn something new. Seriously I think hubs and I have spent way too much time at this store, so much so that we know a lot of the employees. Hah. You could probably spend hours and spend a lot of money because you want to do all the projects. I like that they display samples and I like their helpful workers. My favorite sections are the tiles, lighting, and garden. Sometimes hubs will say he just need to pick up one thing and we spend over an hour here. Jeez. Returning is pretty easy too! I went into order landscaping rocks to be delivered. The garden center staff was wonderful; however, that's where it ends. The lady in customer service was unable to log into the system and basically didn't try to remedy the situation. While throwing her hands in the air she was quite rude to another customer as I waited. Needless to say my purchase was made elsewhere. I like Lowe's in Folsom and go there because it's closer to home than Home Depot and very close to Trader Joe's. However, I find their selections to be limited vs Home Depot. Had to visit both today to look for an irrigation part. We need a store nearby solely dedicated to the home gardner's irrigation needs. read more

I would give zero stars if possible. Bought a refrigerator on Wednesday 8/22/18, spoke with customer service on Friday 8/24/18, delivery set for Sunday 8/26/18. On Saturday evening received call delivery will be Sunday between 2-4pm. Received email (which I confirmed delivery date and time) stating same thing. Received call from driver at 1240 on Sunday (delivery date) that he would be there in 30-45 minutes. When he didn't show, I called him and was told nothing was on the truck for me. Spoke to Lowes 1-800 number and they said refrigerator is on back order. Problem I have is either they don't care about customer service or their computer program needs fixed. How do I speak with someone on Friday, receive email and call next day, also receive call on delivery day saying fridge is on it's way when there supposedly is no fridge. Lowes has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Please save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more

Lowe's has always been one of my favorite store. However they really need to step up the Covid safety. I was there yesterday standing in line at the customer service desk, there was a man who did not have mask on. The service lady went ahead and helped him without even asking a question. His hands were on the counter on the credit card pad the pen while talking to her probably spewing germs everywhere. I was next and that really concerned me because there was no wiping no cleaning or disinfecting after the man left. Normally Lowe's is my go to store above and beyond Home Depot. It's sad but because of the virus we need to wear mask and distancing. I know that it's uncomfortable to breath with the mask but I'm sure it would be far worse to catch the virus or even worse give to a high risk loved one. Unfortunately there are customer who don't care about anyone but themselves. But some of the staff were not wearing masks either. Their curbside pick up is run awfully, and today was the last time. I thought early on (Around April) they would work the bugs out but no it took them forever to find my pick up that was supposedly "ready." Then during the holidays I thought the same thing, but no it took them WAY too long to bring out my item again. Then today.....45min to bring out my cabinets. Nobody should be told their item is ready, pull up, and wait 45 freaking minutes for their item. I use to price shop between lowes and home depot, but not anymore. Update: I'm still happier at Lowes than the orange place. Lumber carts are always waiting in the aisles, unlike orange. If an employee catches you struggling to put plywood or cement siding on your cart by yourself they'll happily volunteer to give a hand, unlike orange. The register clerks are friendly, kind of like orange. The place is overall inviting, unlike orange. Lowes is 4 times furher from my house than orange, but worth every minute of extra time. read more

Pretty straight forward store. The store is clean and the aisles are well labeled. I have never had a problem finding what I was looking for. Which works out well since I never have had an employee ask if I need help. One check out aisle open on the last visit. They love to force you through the self checkout thing. Wish I could give zero stars. Has anyone tried to call the Lowe's in Folsom on the phone? Don't waste your time. Nobody bothers to answer the phone and, if they happen to transfer you to the right department, that department just picks up and sets the phone back down without speaking. Including the management. I purchased 3 major appliances with delivery for all and installation for one. Tried for two days to get a hold of someone at the Folsom Lowes by phone, but no one ever answered. The company they used to deliver called late last night with a time window for today. They showed up over 2 hours early (Not a problem, because my renter was on site already), but informed my tenant that they needed an adapter for the gas line for the range. They told him to "schedule a service call" (no phone number provided). I tried repeatedly to call Lowes today. No one in major appliances will answer, even when routed through customer service. The most they will do is pick up the phone and set it back down on the receiver. Same for when I was being transferred to a manager. Finally told the customer service operator I was going to return all 3 appliances if I wasn't immediately contacted by a manager. That transferred call rang 20 times before being disconnected. I again called back and was put through to a manager who said she would talk to someone in the appliance department and call me back. She said she had hoped they could get someone out to resolve it tomorrow or the next day. I told her that was not going to work. I needed it solved immediately, as my renters have special needs children in the home and this was being scheduled to accommodate them. Told her I would have to arrange for an independent appliance installer to come out because it had to be completed today. Thirty minutes+ later, she called back saying they couldn't get someone out until tomorrow to install it, so they would be refunding the $20 installation fee and the cost of the hose (whoopee). Now I may have to pay a premium rate for "emergency" or weekend service. They need to train their employees to pick up the phone. Or maybe hire more operators. Won't be shopping there again. read more

Very clear telephone options. Select customer service for 2 different calls- transferred appropriately. After 4 minutes 30 seconds automatically disconnected after continuous ringing. 2nd call over 3 minutes. Third call tried appliances just to get a voice. No answer. Finally called curbside pick-up again trying to just talk to someone. 3 minutes and no answer for curbside - really? Gave up. read more

I placed an order from Lowe's for A new grill and a fountain... I paid for them and was told they were going to be delivered on July 4. I was originally told from 11:30-3:30 then 3-7pm. Then no calls and no show. My delivery date still says July 4 for the grill and the fountain unknown now even though they have charged me. I got a call from some store manager today who clearly wanted to just get this off her list, and said it would be assembled today but not delivered until next Saturday which is unacceptable. I would highly recommend people really look at alternatives before ordering from Lowe's. read more

I heard great things about Lowe's and their customer service. I ordered the washer from the Rancho Cordova store, since it was close to the delivery address. Yes, everyone was courteous, the experience of ordering a washer on line with the assistance of chat was great...However, come delivery date, they literally "dropped" off the washer and left. Not only did they not install it, they did not haul away the old washer which I paid a fee to do so. Now, it is almost a week later, and the old washer is still sitting in the driveway. I have made 3 calls. Two I got through and I was assured that a pickup time/day was scheduled...washer is still there. I was on hold for over 10 mins and now Jacob has assured me it will be picked up tomorrow..we shall see. read more

I'm a big fan of Lowe's in Folsom. This review is about their incompetent and irresponsible window shade installation department. I had remotely operated Bali motorized shades installed in two very high windows in my home (the top of the windows are roughly 20 feet off the ground). Lowe's installers placed the battery packs as high as possible behind the headrail of the shades. I recently needed to change the batteries and they were too weak to raise the shades (a totally foreseeable situation). Well, it's difficult enough to change batteries 20 feet off the ground when you can reach them with a ladder, but what about when they're behind closed shades six feet wide? A nightmare, and accident waiting to happen! I asked Lowe's if they would service it and they said "no, you need to call Bali". I called Bali and they told me their only installer in the field is Lowe's. I called Lowe's again and they essentially said "no, and don't bother us again". I called local shade installers and every one told me they don't service Bali. So I'm stuck trying to solve this problem myself. To Lowe's installers, please use your brains and don't install something in such a way that it's next to impossible to service. To Lowe's installation department, please stand behind the work your installers do. If it's not done properly, offer to rectify the situation instead of throwing the customer under the bus. read more

I am rescinding my previous review. After 3 delivery dates, hours on the phone, the manager said my refrigerator was not available. No one called to tell me. The store does not answer the phone and the manager did not seem to care. I had to go through the corporate 800 number and spend 2 hours on the phone. I called because I received the bill today. I would have spent another day waiting for a non existent delivery if I did not pursue this on my own. read more

I like Lowe's products and sales staff. But the company they use for appliance deliveries is horrible. Look at DSI on Yelp, Facebook and Better Business Bureau. (This is in California). I've never seen a company with such low ratings and complaints. My experience with them was just as bad as everyone else's. I've never met such rude, unprofessional and stupid employees. I wound up hiring someone at my own expense to do the installation and hired someone else to haul the old appliance away (even though I'd paid Lowe's for this. ) Lowe's, you are behaving in a flagrantly unprofessional manner to continue using this delivery business. Customer service is awful when it comes to appliance delivery. I got 10 minutes notice that my new fridge and dishwasher were being delivered. I was not ready at all. No one apologized, no one offered to make it right. The movers helped me clean out my fridge, to replace it. The dishwasher is just sitting in an adjacent room. I called to make a new appointment for the old dishwasher to get hauled away. The movers didn't put my stuff back that they moved to get the appliances in. Super disappointed. They got two stars, since I like their stuff in general, but the passing me around from person to person and acting like I am the problem, and no apology- rude. read more
