Do NOT have Lowe's install your shower stall doors! I bought shower doors from Lowe's. The cost of the doors was $527.31. When it came time to install, I was told by the Plumbing Dept. that the cost would be $650! I was told the doors are heavy and it will take to guys to do the job. I was sure this was a mistake and asked to speak to someone else. It wasn't a mistake! I called a professional, bonded, company, The Glass Guru of Peoria; and one man came to my house and did the job at a cost of $200. The install is perfect. Over the past 4 months I have made several trips to this Lowe's . Spent lots of time and money, mainly in in the paint department. Twice now we were fortunate to meet an associate name Jan who was by far the best Employee EVER!! We went to buy a new washer and dryer and wanted to just pick it up ourselves and bring it home that day- but of course that is impossible to do since they don't actually house the items and pretty much force delivery (which you of course have to pay for) on you. So we begrudgingly paid for delivery and for them to pick up an old unit and take it away. We opted for a morning delivery since I work all day and my husband works nights. He has to leave the house at 2:00pm so we opted for a 8am-12pm delivery. We SPECIFICALLY asked if they could deliver to Luke AFB since you don't just "pop on" to a base and wanted to know if they have drivers who they know can get on base (usually this will mean a veteran with their own ability to get on base or someone who can pass a background check). They insisted they could deliver to base. Well today is delivery day and the driver checked in with my husband saying he was at the gate at 8:48. They got sent to the commercial gate for inspection (which if they have done delivery's here before they would know this is normal) and at 9:27 he texted my husband and said he was leaving and maybe will come back at the end of the day. I guess delivery drivers get to just decide when they will and will not deliver now. First off, what does "end of day" mean to you? Gate closes at 4 pm buddy. Also, my husband goes to work at 2, that is why we SPECIFICALLY asked for morning. Cause we know our schedules, you don't! Anyways, good luck calling lowes about it. Their hands are wiped clean because they out source to a 3rd party who doesn't give a shit what you paid lowes for. And the kicker is the driver told his dispatch he waited "2 hours" that's why he left. I guess math isn't his strong suit. I went in there tonight looking for carpet to furnish my new apartment building for all of my units and Collin was a complete asshole. I took in a small piece of the shade I was looking for and I asked if he could help me find it because I needed a small sample ...I normally never do the shopping in those stores. I leave that to my husband. Instead of helping he basically told me to look for it myself. I asked him where the cheaper carpet was because we are literally furnishing an entire building and are not trying to spend a fortune. He literally acted as if I was beneath him. When I finally found the one I was looking for he then told me I would not be able to get a sample, I had to buy a certain amount. The people that work here are a joke. I watch them as I walk up and down the isle to see if they will offer help. They actually look the other way every time to avoid eye contact and actually helping people. The sad thing is their "customer service" area is worse. The manger over there is just as bad. To the lady working at the self-checkout line today: I don't appreciate how disrespectful you were to me because I brought my German Shepherd with me to the store. I assure you, I would not bring an aggressive dog in public, especially if I knew I would be close to people. This was actually my first time taking my dog to a store that wasn't Petco. We had actually just left Petco and she just graduated from training before I visited your store. You see, shortly before you rudely told me to back up so you could assist me with the register (without saying another word to me) a little girl was petting and playing with my dog. She's NOT dangerous, nor does she act like she's dangerous. I hope you were acting this way because you're allergic to dogs or had a traumatic experience with an untrained German Shepherd in the past. If not, then you're part of the many problems that are a result of ignorance in today's society. If this is the case, I hope your boss addresses this issue with you. I ordered bbq set up for my husband's birthday. We received part of the order but not the grill! When trying to get someone to help us or tell me when the grill would be delivered,, was told I never should have ordered online. "Its stupid, I need to touch things." As a military veteran I couldn't believe how I was treated yesterday. I stopped by there to buy a couple supplies for getting rid of weeds in my backyard. I've always gotten a military discount in the past since getting out but I was with my friend who is still in so he offered to show his military ID. The lady asked if it was for him I said no it was for me. She then said no it had to be for my friend. At that point I proceeded to show my Military ID even though it's expired she said no then also out loud in front of other customers. I normally have no complaints about this store, but today I went to customer service to see if they could look up an item to see if they had it in the store. I started to give her the number and she stated she was not ready for it, then asked it I had the stock number! I said yes, and gave it to her again, and she said ' is that the stock number?' I was going to give this place a solid three stars since its just a Lowes afterall. Then, I remembered the totally rude employee at the self-checkout. My boyfriend and I set out to pick up some chlorine and other items for his parent's pool. His father let him use his credit card since it was a purchase for them and it was going to be fairly expensive. Anyways, we got here around 5pm and the store was by no means packed or busy. We wandered around the gardening department for a bit and found what we were looking for. We wheeled everything to the front where we were just going to self-check out. There was a guy there who didn't look friendly at all and sort of waved in our direction. There was a lady ahead of us who looked like she may need his help, so I assumed he meant her. Well, he didn't. He meant us, and in the rudest way announces, "I *said* I can help you over here." Insert his nasty eye-rolling. If I were in my 70s and senility was forgivable, I'd have marched up to that young man and smacked him across his little face. Okay, I'm 23 and I know that kind of thing gets people arrested. My boyfriend didn't seem to care much (or notice) that this kid was rude, but it just bothered me for some reason. Another thing that bothered me was he swiped the credit card given to my boyfriend by his dad and didn't even check ID. Oh, he asked. I know that nothing criminal was taking place, but it made me wonder how easily it must be for people to use someone else's (stolen) cards here. Employee, "Do you have ID?" I ordered 2 custom security doors and was told once the doors arrived I would receive a call. I did recieve a call and was told the door fitters have 2 business days to contact me to set a date to fit the doors. 2 days came and went so I called the store and was told because of the Thanksgiving holiday the fitter are running behind so give them another day. We are now going on 6 days and still nothing!!! I dont understand why Lowes say the fitters have 2 business days to contact you. I asked Lowes what happens if they dont contact us in 2 business days and was told "nothing" really then what is the point of saying anything to the custom So the saga continues. Lowes finally fitted the door on December 20 but the back door had been made to short. The fitter said he cant take the door down because he needs a work order. 2 weeks later and nothing so we called and was told they need the door back in order to replace it. Fine come get the door. Then i got a call saying someone needs to inspect the door to see if it can be adjusted. They come out and low and behold they say you need a new door!!!! A week goes by and they finally call and say we have to wait until Lowes insurance claim has been made and unfortunately this takes time. OMG how ridiculous is that they take our money and leave with a defective door and now we have to wait until the claim has been paid. I will NEVER shop at this Lowes or any Lowes again. read more

Terrible customer service, I was accused of reckless driving, because the employee stacked bricks four high in my new SUV, then stacked mulch bags on top, and when I made my first turn very carefully, everything toppled. Upon arriving home my car looked like an explosion. We recently bought a new home and decided to order appliances from Lowe's because they had the best deal. We would've NEVER ordered from them if we would've known how horrible the service was going to be. They made three deliveries, two of them being not the correct appliances as well as damaged. We finally got our refrigerator on the final delivery that wasn't damaged but only after waiting almost three weeks later and a phone call to their corporate office. By far some of the worst customer service I've experienced in quite some time. I go in, two days in a row, asking for a Kobalt toolbox that I fell in love with. First day I came in and asked about it, it's in stock and comes just the way I wanted. Sweet. Told them I'd be back the next day to buy it. We did an online order for in-store pickup in Goodyear. We showed up less than 24 hours later to pick up our order. They didn't have our microwave on display, so they sent us to Buckeye to check out their display. They didn't have one on display and I was annoyed that they sent me on a wild goose chase, so I decided to purchase it in Buckeye. They were unable to cancel the online order and sent us back to Goodyear. We went back to Goodyear to pick up the original order only to find out that someone had canceled our online order and they had sold the last one the night before. I am very disappointed with the customer service I have received from this store after complaining about our carpet installation. See pictures... I thought it would be an easy fix, but I have learned differently. I opened a Lowe's credit to have new flooring installed. I noticed the mismatched carpet and reported it to Lowe's Home Improvement only to be told there is nothing they can do. They offered me under $200 and basically said that's all they could do. After going up the ladder I hope to get better results but am still left with an unpleasant, uneasy, and not so nice feeling about the whole situation. I really thought that by having our flooring installed by a Lowe's (rather than a small no name shop) that our money would be well spent and the extra cost would be justified. I should have known when the first scheduled measurement appointment was "a no show". I had my wife take the day off and no one even called to reschedule. They just never showed up. I can't express enough how UNSATISFIED my wife and I are. This was supposed to be an exciting time in our lives. We work so hard for our money, as do so many people out there, and I want everyone to know that I wouldn't go back to Lowe's for this type of treatment. read more

At first let me say my experience here was not so great I was looking for a storage bin and the one I needed had its lid on the top shelf, I went to ask for help and the first person I talked to was Andy who dismissed me by putting his finger up at me stating I needed to wait. Upset I just grabbed a broomstick and got the lid down myself, I walked out to garden mad and was helped my Terry who turned everything around for me. He made me laugh and I left less upset(he was a gem). Went to buy some outdoor plants. What a waste of time! 9 to 10 customers waiting in line, one check out line open. The cashier seemed confused and took prolonged time with each customer. Other Lowe's employees in area, talking to vendors or each other. I asked if someone could open another register. Employee said sure. Must have not realized I meant sometime today. I had to walk into and across half the store to check out at an inside register. Don't know if the plant area has a manager, but does not appear to be the case. My refrigerator went out later in the afternoon so i rushed to lowes to buy another for about 1200.00 to 1700.00 With everything going on right now they changed their hours to close earlier. i got there at 6:12 (they close at 7) and i asked for help in appliances. After mentioning to 4 different people that i had been waiting and needing help finally an associate came to help me at 6:56 just to tell me they are out of stock of the refrigerator i needed but down the street they have it. Oh but there going to be closed by the time you get there. I literally just said thanks for you help and left in tears. The store was not busy and i was ignored multiple times and brushed off. I stood around waiting for 40 minutes.. to them it was nothing to blow me off. To me it was a nightmare. I was panicking because the food in my fridge was going to go bad, I already did my research and knew what i wanted. It would have been so quick and easy to come and tell me it was out of stock so i can rush to the other location with time. With that being said i will not spend another dime at lowes. Several weeks ago after work, I was installing a Watts HW recirculating system at my parents house. Towards the end of the project a few plumbing pieces broke. I wanted to get this small job done that night and had about twenty minutes to get to the store and get replacement parts. I got to the store about fifteen minutes before they closed. I gentleman named Steve Domine was a tremendous help in getting me the pieces that I needed to finish this project. Although the store was about to close, Steve took his time and didn't seem to be rushed to get me out of the store. Thank you for the positive experience at this Lowe's location! read more

Methinks that certain businesses don't give a rat's gluteus maximus about customer service in general, and this store is another one in a LONG chain of those places. I'm saying that because there are businesses that know that they are too big to worry about trivial things like good customer service, since they know that people will still shop there (they got what we need to make our homes comfortable to live in). I am going off of two experiences I've had with this particular location. A couple of months ago, I went in for a rolling shade for my patio doors. I did the measurements and everything, and told the millennial employee that I needed the shade to certain specifications. I take it back home, and she was about two inches short of what I told her. Even the metal pins didn't measure up to the total length I told her. So I have to return that one, and drive around the valley to other locations until I could find the shade I was looking for (although their website said this item was in stock at EVERY location I went to). I even brought in my old one to make sure they got it right. Second experience went down like this--I went to look at prices for a fiberglass ladder, and saw that they had a grass trimmer on the clearance rack that I was interested in. But of course, there was no sticker. So, I contact an employee in that section who then has to contact another employee in that section to find out the deal for that item. First, the guy tells me that they don't sell items out of the box like that. I then point to the two other trimmers that are out of their respective boxes and tagged, and tell him that's where I found the one he was holding. So, he then tells me that it's a display item and someone must have put it there by mistake. I was going to be fine with that and everything, but then we walk over to the display stand and there are two other "display" trimmers sitting right there---of the same exact model! Wow.... for a second there I thought I was being punked....Nope, just bad customer service. Don't shop here....you'll wind up needing migraine medication just to handle the stress of bad service. read more
