The customer service at this store is appalling. If you ever get someone to answer the phone ( currently 15 minutes of going through the phone tree now trying random departments to get someone) the transfer you to dead lines. It took me 30 minutes of them transferring me to lines that would just hang up trying to get a manager last week. Had ordered washer and dryer they kept changing delivery date and time. Realized I ordered the wrong dryer and then they just didn't show up to pick up the wrong one. We picked up the right one up ourself. Took over an hour to get ahold of someone to get the other dryer picked up. I'm incredibly disappointed and won't be doing business with them ever again. read more

If you are looking to get your water heater replaced I would recommend you go elsewhere. Our water heater was 13 years old and needed to be replaced badly. We opted to go to Lowes on the 9th of November, 2016 since it was near our home. We spoke to the sales rep in plumbing and recommended that we purchase a "Water heater Detail" for $45. This "Detail" according to the sales rep would provide me with "a prompt and worry free assessment of my current water heater configuration and what would be needed to replace the water heater." The "Water heater Detail" is intended to prevent us from the sticker shock resulting from any unexpected cost to install a new water heater, bring the connecting plumbing to code, and provide worry free coordination with installers sub contracted by Lowes. The $45 fee is to be credited back should we decide to purchase a water heater with install. Sounds great so far, right? It did to us, so we bought it. Well my experience will show where reality does not match the expectations established Lowes sales pitch. After purchasing the "water heater detail" we returned home expecting to be contacted the following morning to set up a time for the installer to stop by and do his assessment. That call never came, so I called around noon and was explained that normally they will call the day after the "detail" was purchased, but they have up to 48 hours to do that. Fair enough I thought. 48 hours later no contact, so I call Lowes and was connected to plumbing associate. The plumbing associate stated that he would look in to it and call me "right back." Two hours pass by, and no follow-up by the associate... At this point I am frustrated that I am doing a lot of work coordinating for a service that is supposed to be worry free... I then decide to call Lowes and ask for the Manager. I go over with him everything mentioned above in this review, and he apologizes and speaks with his install team, and tells me to expect a call back shortly from sub contracted company that will do the install. The company calls back as promised (~30 mins after the conversation with mgr) and schedules an appointment for me on the 14th of November to assess my water heater setup. The installer stops by on the 14th, does his assessment, and explains to me that he will send in his assessment of what is needed for the install of the new water heater to Lowes NLT than the same evening and to expect Lowes to call me back with a quote. Great! I thought. Things have smooth out and should be fine at this point... Nope. The following morning I call Lowes and ask for an Install team member and get Zandria. I tell her that I had a "water heater detail" completed yesterday and would like to know what happens from here. She states that yes they received the assessment from the installer last night, and that she would forward the assessment to the plumbing department to draw up the quote, and that they will give me a call "right back." Three hours pass by no phone call... I call Lowes back and ask for Zandria. I tell her that I haven't gotten a call back with a quote. She looks up my file and sees that a quote has been completed but nobody called back. I tell her that I have been dealing with this communication disconnect and lack of follow thru from the start. She apologizes, tells me that she will speak to the manager about this, and informs me that I can come in anytime to Lowes to get the details of the quote and pay for it. I stopped by Lowes after work, and head straight to the Plumbing Manager, Lance, to get my quote. He provides me with a quote and contract, and hastily rushes me through the contract. I noticed that the credit for the "water heater detail" fee of $45 dollars was not credited in the contract, and ask him about it. Lance tells me that it automatically gets taken off at the front register. Lance ask me to sign the store copy of the contract, and hands me a customer copy that I noticed is not completely filled out, and therefore does not constitute a true copy of the contract. I take this up with the Manager on duty and explain this all to him. He looks over the missing credit issue and takes the time to explain to me the different sections of the contract, something Lance did not do. I explain that I did not receive a true copy of the contract. Lance gets defensive and states that if he filled everything out on the contract that the customer would be waiting over an hour. I tell Lance that it's a contract, and that everything should be filled out. Lance then unprofessionally tells me "next time if you buy something I will fill everything out so you can wait an hour or more." Well that convinced me to take my business elsewhere. read more

The only reason I'm giving this high of a rating is because of Charlie. He was the only worker who was helpful out of the several that we approached. Two workers ignored us completely. I had ordered three pallets of blocks for retaining wall and had to wait over a week for the delivery no big deal. the day before I get a call that they had problems and could not make delivery, so I went to the store to find out when my order would be delivered and they could not tell me if it would be 2 days, 4 days or 2 weeks. I thought I could pick up part of my order and wait for the rest to be delivered. I was told it is one or the other pick up or delivered I could not split the order. I told the manager I did not understand because I was paying the delivery charge, what is the problem? By this time I was holding up the line of people that had their own complaints and the manager was so rude I thought I better leave before I said something I would regret. so I made several trips with my own vehicle which took a whole Saturday. the other employees that tried to help are so new they could not do anything help the situation. thanks lowes I wish I had the managers name because I would have no problem throwing him under the buss. read more

I Ordered a Kamado Joe Classic II grill on the Lowes Website. When placing the order on the website it said delivery within 3-7 business days, up email receipt it showed over ten days. The item was ordered from the nearest store that was receiving the item that could get it to me the quickest. I was told that lowes delivers within 75 miles of its stores. I waited two weeks for that store to call and when they did they told me they refuse to deliver the item to my house because it is too far. The store is 57 miles from my location, there is no reason why the delivery cannot be made. They cancelled my order and I was left to either pick up the item, which I do not have to means to do so, (AKA the reason I asked for delivery) or I will have to reorder the item from another store, which doesn't have it in stock and wait an additional three weeks for it to come in. I am extremely upset with Lowes customer service and the lack of help they offered to get me the item I ordered through their systems. Neither online, reps in store or through customer service help line were able to resolve this issue. I will never order a product from Lowes again because of my experiences with this specific order. I plan to inform the public of their inability to provide decent customer service. read more

I don't usually find a difference between the Lowe's I've been to- they are all pretty great and we'll stocked with everything under the sun for your home improvement needs. I did notice that the staff has been really helpful the 2 times I've been there! One lady went above and beyond in helping explain all the different options for a product I was looking at amd really seemed genuinely interested in making sure I had all my questions answered. The other lady accepted my return without a receipt without questions and just my credit card. The store is spacious and clean, and parking is plentiful. It's conveniently located near everything else you'd want on Renton Landing shopping center including my beloved Target! :) read more

I have been working with the appliance department to purchase a new dishwasher. When I walked in on a Saturday afternoon, the one and only person working in the department didn't acknowledge me, even though he was just sitting at his desk. After I approached him and asked for help, he said "what do you need?". I told him that I needed a dishwasher and needed some information on the different models. He basically just read me written product overview posted on each model and clearly knew no more than what was written there - no help at all! I walked out frustrated and no more knowledgeable than when I walked in. Then, I went home, jumped online and did some research on my own, finally deciding on a specific model. I called the store to ask some questions about delivery and installation and sat on hold for 10 minutes. Finally, someone picked up and said that he was too busy to talk to me and would call me back when he had the chance. Frustrated (again), I said "Just forget about it. You guys need to hire more help" to which he replied "Tell me about it! I am part time and want the extra hours, but they won't give them to me." I hung up and ended up just ordering it online. The expected delivery date was 12/8. Well, 12/8 came and went and still no dishwasher, so I called and got bounced around before finally having to leave a message with God knows who. After two days, someone called me and said that the dishwasher was "stuck" in their distribution center and wouldn't be here until sometime next week. We'll see. From the start, it was almost like I was begging to give to take my money and make a sale. I will not be purchasing from them again, and wouldn't have done it this time had they not been the only local seller for the dishwasher brand I wanted. I'm done. read more

stopped by here to pick up $500 worth of exterior door handsets. Sales associate "Coby" was very unfriendly and very unhelpful. Overall demeanor and tone of voice was of someone who was annoyed with me for asking him questions. His answers to my questions about the lock sets were all yes/no w no recommendations or advise. We walked in exactly at 740pm, they close at 8pm on sunday. Our lock sets needed to be re-keyed after purchase, "Coby" refused to do so because it was too close to closing time. He told us to come back. If he would have helped us from the beginning there would never have been an issue. Horrible experience. read more

I get a call to let me know my items wouldn't be available until sept 29th because the windows weren't in stock. Website didn't say anything about that. The agent suggest that I go to another store to pick it up. This is after I said I don't have a truck and this is why I ordered online.. Lame service, horrible customer service. Grabbed the drill on the shelf where the sale sticker was and it ringed up at $160 ... Here's where things go downhill. The cashier calls to get a price check. Well I recently bought some items from this Lowes here in renton. I had to return an item which was completed however... I was at CUSTOMER SERVICE and the young lady who was helping us BRIANNA A. Which was on her name tag first started off by being completely overwhelmed by her position and first word I heard was "Shit" then was unable to multi-task and told us she clearly didn't know what she was doing... asked for assistance from a I believe was a key holder or supervisor and when she did not get her attention but a bland look she said "fuck why are you looking at me like that? Why don't you just come over here?" As if we or no customers were standing there... I am in total shock of what I just witnessed at my local lowes... honestly I don't even know what to think right now but truthfully will not forget her or this aweful experience. read more

Last week the product I needed was not on the floor but I could see it 2 levels up on the rack. It took a while for the cashier in lumber to understand what I needed but I give her credit for trying to help. I knew I was in for a long haul but decided to ride it out. She called out for help on the intercom 6 times & finally after 20 minutes someone showed up & said it might be a few minutes but he'll be back......25 minutes later still no help so I give up and get what I don't really want just to get out of there.During this whole time saw many red vests with hands in pockets wandering aimlessly around. So I am writing an update to my first review as it is now Tuesday night and I am still dealing with the incompetence and refusal to admit any wrong doing. Lowes still hasn't refunded my money which is ironic when they told me they never charged me. What I found out from my bank is that I was in fact charged $438 when I purchased the AC unit online. And for whatever reason, sherkirita felt she should max out the rest of my card???? Per my bank, I was charged 9 times. I called in tonight per my banks recommendation and request a reversal of the transaction. Lucky me! Sherkirita answered and apparently became a manager since Sunday! Because when we asked to speak with managers, not once did that vile girl say she was a manager. The more upset I got on the phone, the funnier she thought it was. I could hear her laughing and imagine her standing there surrounded by her gaggle of fellow employees, also incompetent rolling their eyes and making jokes about what she had to deal with on the phone. as he was sleeping with is so disgustingly unprofessional and should be grounds for some type a disciplinarian action as I am a manager myself (much more educated, smart, kind and compassionate and in healthcare. Not home ware). I finally asked her what the hell Lowes is doing to rectify the situation and she said for hundredth time (because she's a minion robot, trained as such and not smart enough to understand the gravity of this situation) that she canceled the order. I have to probe for further details. So here's my question. If she can cancel the transaction, why can't she reverse the transaction? That says to me that there was a transaction! . Of course she couldn't care less if I was negative in my account, couldn't afford groceries, or what have you. And I don't expect her to be. I expect her to treat me with decency, professionalism and be amenable. She's clearly thinking I'm a nuisance who just couldn't afford the product. Ironically, not only could I afford the product, I could afford it multiple times. But Lowe's never charged me????I That's their story. ' I will continue to complain and take it to top until she's hopefully fired or at the very least. Required to apologize to me. And treat me like a god damn paying customer. This is absolutely the worst store I have ever been to and if that's who they hire to manage teams, they will continue to get bad reviews like all the ones on here, lose business, and one day, understand that being a manager at Lowe's is not a power position what so ever. Re: expen$ive -- Stainmaster Pet Protect Carpet (see review 9/14/2016) There is nothing stationmaster about the carpet. A year of stain removal per instructions, and the carpet looks 10 years old. Then try to exercise your 25 year warrantee for "stains". The people in flooring at the Renton Lowe's either don't answer the phone, and when they do, they pass the buck who to talk to, and advise you to call back. When/if you do reach someone (btw, they never have an updated work schedule) you will be told "the Warrantee Department" will be in touch with you. If you call the operator, that person will tell you there is no such department?? Anyway, buy your carpet from a mom and pop, not box store. Clearly there are management issues (or opportunities) for this store overall, especially in flooring. read more

I have never had a worse customer service experience in my entire life. I had an order issue that was being fulfilled by this store and needed assistance. The order had been placed 2 months prior to and was never delivered. I needed some help investigating what the hold up was. I called into customer care who escalated my case to management to research since my order was marked as delivered. Management was busy on the first attempt so customer care told me I would get a call back shortly. A day later, I tried to call into customer care to connect with management. I spoke with the operations manager who seemed to care and want to help. She told me that she needed to check in with the lumber department to see if they could come up with a solution for my case and promised a call back. It is now two days later and I have heard nothing. I called back into customer care and was hung up on not once, not twice, not three times, but FOUR! How unprofessional and rude!!! I know that I am just one out of the millions that shop here but I will never ever do business with Lowe's again. read more

We've been going to Lowe's in the Landing for years for home improvement supplies. Got a Lowe's credit card to get 5% off purchases. We opted here vs. another competitor store early on because customer service was better. How ironic given recent events... Recently we moved to a new home, and we needed appliances - refrigerator, washer and dryer. We browsed online for a while and researched before landing on the 3 we wanted. To ensure we had everything we needed, since apparently online it doesn't tell you all the associated parts you'd need with some of these particular appliances, we went in store to purchase. The store associate helping my husband was trying to do things manually (writing on a piece of paper the part numbers) when looking up if the items were in stock, so my husband suggested he check on the computer. When that finally happened they found they had one left of 2 of the items due to them being on sale and popular. Managed to purchase them and set a date for delivery. Here's where things went downhill. Husband got a phone call a week ahead of delivery claiming everything was looking good for our delivery of the fridge, washer, and dryer. Delivery day came, where they said to expect a phone call between 7-8am to confirm delivery window time day-of. Never received a call. So husband calls Lowe's himself, having a difficult time getting a hold of someone who knows what they're doing... Clearly both appliances and delivery departments are extremely unorganized. Finally it's figured out that they may not have any of the items we bought??? How can you call ahead and claim everything is set, but turnaround and say the items aren't in stock / reserved if we BOUGHT them already? We get a call later that they did find all 3 appliances. However, the fridge has a huge dent in the back, so they tried to offer us 10% off. Wtf, why do I want a dented brand new fridge? We settle on accepting it because otherwise we got no fridge in our new home. But then they would deliver a new fridge in a couple weeks. Initial delivery went fine, but while delivery folks were friendly, our friend/neighbor noticed they'd watch unrelated videos on their phone while outside in between bringing in or installing items. Can we at least get our items delivered and then you do whatever the hell you want after the delivery? Today is now 2 weeks later. The day before we received a phone call claiming we can expect a call between 7-8am to confirm delivery of our fridge. AGAIN, no call. We called them, first time while on hold ended up getting hung up on or disconnected somehow. Called again and finally got connected to deliveries and husband explained the situation. The employee said he'd have to get a hold of the delivery drivers to figure it out. Again, disorganized. Husband asks if he can't check the system for any further information. Employee says he'll try, and whole husband exclaims his frustration, employee can only say they're having a lot of problems lately... clearly that's the case but no one seems to want to resolve their problems that causes so much frustration for their customers, whatever the problems may be. Eventually the employee confirms again, after all that, that all he can do is get a hold of the drivers to determine where our fridge is, or if/when it's getting delivered. And that he's call us back. So, we're left here, again, waiting for an outcome of where the hell our fridge is. And hopefully not another dented one. We've never dealt with such poor customer service. And this whole experience has been stressful on top of moving homes already. Save yourself the time, energy, annoyance, and frustration and shop elsewhere for your appliances and delivery. Our friends had better service and experience when purchasing directly through the manufacturer's website. read more

Throughout the past several years, my wife and I have purchased several appliances from Lowe's. We always purchase the extended warranty. Three years ago we purchased a Maytag top-loader wash machine. This past weekend we began hearing a loud noise coming from the wash machine and on Monday I called to request a warranty repair. The Lowe's agent was very helpful and said they had a company that could come out the following morning. I left a very positive review as I was impressed with the good customer service. However, approximately four (4) hours later I received a phone call from the contracted repair company, Advanced Appliance. The associate said they did not have any availability until the following week on Tuesday, and she could place me on a cancellation list should something develop sooner. I asked the associate if the repairman could have a replacement agitator on the truck because I believed that was the part that was causing the issue and I didn't want to have to wait several more days for additional parts to come in order to have it fixed. The associate said they keep some parts on the truck but if he didn't have the right part they would have to order it after he initially came out. I was extremely disheartened at the news that a repairmen would not be able to come out when Lowe's said they would be able to as my wife and I have a newborn baby and would have to try to find alternative means to wash our clothes. I called Lowe's to let them know about the conflicting repair time Advanced Appliance gave after they (Lowe's) stated it would be the following morning. The associate said they would file a complaint and it would be looked into. A couple days passed and I did not hear anything back from Lowe's or Advanced Appliance. I called Lowe's a third time and was told that since a complaint was filed there was nothing more they could do. Lowe's over promised and underdelivered! It has left my wife and I feeling completely helpless in this matter. I am appalled that Lowe's would have such pathetic customer service. To anyone looking to make a purchase from Lowe's, I'd highly recommend you consider better options.
