June 19th around 6:40pm we stopped in for a package of button batteries because the "Batteries+Bulbs" shop was closed. Wasn't even sure Lowe's carried what we needed, but figured we were already in the parking lot, why not try. Looked around and found the batteries display near the self-checkout area... it was obvious that someone had failed to stock ANY batteries for some time. Nearly every hook was empty!! I saw the tag for the ones we needed, but of course that hook was also empty. Figured I'd ask someone if there was another place to find batteries, perhaps a dedicated isle? Yolanda just so happened to be walking toward us on our way to go find help... she had a cart (maybe go-backs?), so I asked if she wasn't helping anyone, would she mind pointing us in the right direction? I asked if there were any other places they keep/display batteries. She pointed to where we'd already looked and added that sometimes there are hanging displays on random isles. She scanned the item we needed and it showed they had some. She tried checking the place where battery back-stock is usually stored, but whoever was in charge of batteries had switched up the location. Yolanda asked a few employees if they knew where the battery back-stock was now being stored-- no one knew. She told us to hang on... she went up and down a few isles checking for hanging displays or end caps. Since she went to the right, I decided to check the left side of the store. We met back in the middle and neither of us had found the ones needed. She had us wait again while she tried looking in another spot she'd thought of, and she asked a few more people about them. Yolanda was super persistent!! It was clear that she was NOT giving up which was very nice of her. We all knew the batteries were SOMEWHERE in the store, but I told her it was okay, thanked her for trying, and proceeded to self-checkout to buy the little (cool, but useless) trinket we'd found in the random add-on area while we were waiting. I joked with her that as soon as we left, she would find the dang batteries, lol. We paid for our things, walked to the exit, the automatic doors opened for us, and we were literally stepping outside when we heard some far-off voice--- hollering, "I found them! I found them!" We almost didn't realize it was directed at us, but she kept saying those words as she jogged up to the front from several isles away to where we had stopped. How cool was that??!! I wanted to hug her. We stepped back over to self-checkout and paid for what we actually came to Lowe's for... all because Yolanda went over & above her duties to help customers. And we were able to replace the batteries in Dad's device just in time for Father's Day celebrations!! read more

First off, we have been going to this Lowes for a long time and never had any issues. But, We had previously gone to this Lowes to obtain some paint and we were told by a worker that we could bring in a small sample of our wall to match the paint. We brought a sample of paint from our house that was on a light switch and the old man working at the counter stated that he wouldn't be able to use the sample and that he couldn't use a photo match either... Went to Home Depot and the worker there did it in 5 seconds. Lowes needs to stop advertising that they color match when they have lazy workers who don't want to do their job. During covid-19, I was blessed to be selected to work from home, now it was that I needed Ethernet cord long enough to build it at home work space on a temporary order I had visited a couple other stores in the area that mention these cords had went very quickly and very fast leaving me with other options such as Lowe's. To my surprise I walked in business as usual everyone keeping their distance and was able to find not one not two but over three selections and additional items that I wanted to pick up. At the checkout counter I encountered this very friendly face her name was Beth I couldn't help but think she looks like she meets the age of the vulnerable group. (Observation). I did also see that there was taped areas per the 6 feet order were you should stand when you're being assisted and also a plexi glass shield between myself and the payee and the employee which made me feel more comfortable about seeing Beth at work. She made the transaction very easy she was very friendly and the reggae music helped calm my nerves -playing throughout the store as I shopped thank you Lowe's! read more

Don't do it! Go anywhere else to buy what you need. I bought a grill at Lowes in Vacaville. I rented a trailer o haul it. It is over 200 pounds and not small. I got it home and the next day tried to get it to work. It has a wiring problem, I bought it assembled. When I called Lowes they said I could return it. Oh great. Rent another trailer, load the grill, drive 100 miles. Great service! How about you just give me what I paid for? We were looking for a ladder and they had one advertises for $49.98 however the manager did not honor that price and even swapped the pricing after she said hey had made an advertising mistake. I understand mistakes happen but they were not helpful and made us stand around waiting wasting our time. CiCi is heaven sent. We were given the run around by the Fairfield store. The big supervisor of Patio Collette aka Karen was rude and not courteous! She stated they only had a model that is unsellable. Ok understood! I'm speaking to my husband to speak to a manager and she butts in I'm the manager?!? Karen gets mad when I tell her Im not speaking to you? She stomps off unprofessionally without helping leaving us to go to Vacaville. Thank God we meet CiCi and she diligently checked all of the stores and guess what there was a set where we had just left - Fairfield She helped to get them to hold momentarily so we could go right back to purchase, A big thanks and Kudos to CiCi she is the best. Came here on Tuesday June 16th, 2021. I stayed 30 minutes looking for an employee who can cut blinds. I must have asked the front register three or four times to call someone, which they did, but no one showed up to aisle 6. It took me almost an hour to get in and out, completely unnecessary. I would recommend NOT EVER ordering from Lowes for any appliance. We ordered a refrigerator on sale for 4th of July, and it was delivered today. It is the EXACT same fridge we already have in the house, same size, just a different brand. I was told by the delivery driver that he could not take the doors of the fridge off to get it into the house. And said I could take them off, but it would void the warranty on the fridge and it may not seal right again after we put them back on. I told him I have never heard of that before, and how does anyone get a fridge delivered, since I have a standard size door. And he said he has a ton that are sent back and not delivered. I took a half day off work to wait for this delivery. I called Lowes who said they had never heard of such a thing and and they directed me to 1-800-445-6937 number (I'm guessing Lowes corporate) I spoke to a representative who also said he's never heard of that, and just today had 3 deliveries of the same type fridge that were delivered with the doors taken off. Then he said he could have a new delivery date on Saturday, and I said yes please but I do not want the same incompetent delivery drivers. He put me on hold for a while then came back and said actually with this fridge "the doors are very complicated and they can not take the doors off" I asked to talk to a supervisor and after "doing some digging" she said that they stand behind these doors can't be taken off because they can't guarantee they will be put back on correctly. I asked if it was a refrigerator limitation or the delivery people's limitations. She just kept repeating that they stand by that these doors shouldn't be taken off. And suggested I buy a smaller fridge. Basically I think they screwed up and they didn't want to admit it!! I ordered the EXACT same model and fridge from a different store in town, and they said the doors can come off, and they do it all the time to get it into the front door! But now we missed out on the 4th of July sales, and are paying much more because of the timing. I WILL NEVER buy from Lowes again! Horrible customer service!!!! And they are liars! read more

AWFUL HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I came here to buy a succulent as a gift. I'm not a planter & I am not familiar on how any gardening works. I picked out a succulent, read the directions that indicated you can either place the succulent in a pot or in the ground. I opted for the pot & headed towards the pot section against the wall. I saw a woman wearing a "Lowe's" branded collared shirt & approached her. I asked if she knew where I can find the right pot size for my succulent & she replied "I don't work here I'm a vendor." I even apologized for even asking for help but as a customer I shouldn't have. The pots that were out were either too big or too small for the succulent I picked out so I decided to take a chance & just go with no pot. While I stood in line, I began thinking since it's a gift I wanted to present it in a pot. I stepped out of line & saw another guy in a "Lowe's" branded shirt. I asked him if he can help me find the right size pot for the succulent I chose. He said "I don't work in this department but you can ask AMY, & pointed to the SAME LADY WORKER that I spoke to earlier. Again another worker that didn't attempt to listen to my question. I didn't catch his name but on the receipt it says "Sales#: S1143DV1 3664133" "Trans# 69618899" I approached the SAME LADY & said "excuse me I know you mentioned you don't work here but that guy just referred me back to you for assistance." AMY replied "yeah I don't work here I'm a vendor but the employees don't know my new role yet." WAIT... so she DOES/DID work in this Department previously & COULD HAVE ANSWERED 1 SIMPLE QUESTION I HAD ABOUT A POT??!?!! (We passed each other several times since our first interaction & I know appeared lost & confused. It would be great customer service if she could at least TRY to answer my question or direct me to someone who could help.) I was so frustrated I decided to buy the succulent without the pot. I stood in line once again (only one cashier lane was open) What made my experience here worse was I saw the same lady worker, AMY, who was clearly wearing a "Lowe's" branded shirt yet stated she doesn't work here but she's a vendor, ASSISTING ANOTHER WITH ANOTHER CUSTOMER WHILE ANSWERING THAT CUSTOMER's QUESTIONS & HAVING A CONVERSATION. Wait... I thought she "doesn't work here & is just a vendor? At this point I just wanted to leave the store, quickly as possible. I spent the majority of my time looking for assistance. I had my 5 year old with me as well. I did not feel valued as a customer, did not receive any assistance & completely brushed off. Lowe's, please properly train your staff. Maybe they can listen to what the customer is looking for before brushing me off or redirecting me. If you are wearing a "Lowe's" branded shirt then that obviously tells me you work here. As a customer I don't expect you to have the answer right away but at least try to help me or redirect me to someone that know how to do their job RIGHT. This f__ing place is horrible! Do not buy appliances from here or anything period!. I bought a stove a month ago and still do not have a stove. Why? Everytime they try to deliver it there is a big dent in the stove like bigfoot kicked it! I don't know whats going with their warehouse or delivery but I have been in limbo for a month because they cannot deliver a stove to me that is not injured already. Stopped by this location to pick up a few things. No one around to help. The few employees I did see were talking with each other. The selection was quite low and not much was left out to choose from. When I got up to the register it was only self check out which I don't mind. Yet one of the employees was just standing there could have offered to help especially with my heavier items. He was too busy asking me if I had a Lowe's credit card. All the bad reviews are very well deserved. I am a contractor and we are doing a remodeling for one of our customers. Homeowner went to Lowe's to see if they like any floors they had, and actually the one our customer liked Lowe's had in stock (about 22 boxes), floor department representative told them he can give it for 50% since it was a special order and order wasn't picked up. I came in the next day and a different representative told me she can't give me 50% discount but 30% ( a discount is a discount and I'm happy for any provided), store representative called her manager and confirmed that they can apply 30% discount. I placed an order and PAID for the material in full. I also told her that I can't pick it up now (my car is not big enough). We will try to do it tomorrow. There were no warning that I have to pick it up within a certain time. Two weeks lighter our frontman stopped by to pick up the order and the order wasn't there! Firstly they "can't find it", then the same floor representative that sold me the floor said probably someone else bought it. How?? How can someone else buy it when I have paid in full for these material? I have never cancelled an order. I was offered to place an order, pay a full price (claiming that she got in trouble for offering me a discount when she actually spoke to the manager in front of me) and wait 7 business days for materials to arrive. Customer service and floor representative were not helpful and very unprofessional. P.S the customer service rap asked me "aw has your dad stopped by to pick up the floor?". Agism and sexism. Lowe's stated policy is its workers wear masks, yet I saw many workers without a mask, including the customer service lady who helped me. Furthermore, one of the pots I ordered was badly broken. Not noticeable until I got home, because they had stacked the pots. It will be inconvenient to return. Lastly, why doesn't it require customers to wear masks?? There were several people without masks. Come on Lowe's, take your cue from a great retailer Costco, and get your act together. Big box hardware stores are usually a 2-3 star experience at best. But today at Lowes in Vacaville was a huge exception to that. Starting with a call I placed this morning to the garden shop, through to two store visits purchasing two full pallets of pavers, the interactions were professional, intelligent, expeditious, and friendly. In all, I connected with 5 young men and 2 young women. Each were fabulous. I only caught the names of Jacob and Jared, which is a shame because I'd like to call them each out by name. I ordered a patio door over the phone. My installer couldn't fit it into his truck, so I had to have it delivered. The guy on the phone said it would come between 8 a.m and 8 p.m. the following Tuesday and that I would receive a call on Monday telling me what time the delivery would be. At 4 p.m on Monday, I hadn't received a call. I called the delivery department three times before someone picked up on the twentieth (I'm not exaggerating) ring. I was told that the call comes in between 6 p.m and 9 p.m. (not explained to me previously). I was also told that the delivery window would be narrowed down to four hours. But as of 4 p.m., that window had not been established yet. So I have a couple of suggestions: 1) answer the phone 2) explain when the delivery call will come to the customer 3 explain that the delivery window will still be four hours It's not rocket science, folks. read more

4/8/2018 Due to a recent policy change, veterans are now required to "register" their status with Lowes customer service in order to receive their discount. That's right, I addition to being denied at the express checkout, veterans are required to give personal information such and dates of service, discharge date, phone number and address. There are literally less steps to apply for a credit card. I quickly remembered why I stopped shopping here in favor of HD. Ridiculous. 11/18/2017 3:15 pm. Military discount denied because I was in the self-checkout lane. The surly female associate was downright indignant about it. She insisted I need to wait in a longer line manned by a cashier. She said this has been policy for the 2 years she's worked there. Strange, considering I've been receiving a military discount at self checkout since those machines went in. If it actually is a Lowes policy to administer a discount to veterans with strings attached and dependent on which checkout line they choose, then that's shameful. This is most likely the result of a lazy, unmotivated employee who's lack of customer-facing skills and poor demeanor was enough for me to cancel my purchase and walk the hell out of there. And so I'll be voting with my wallet and heading across the street to Home Depot where veterans can feel appreciated with a 10% discount no matter what checkout line they happen to choose. I would rather they offer no discount program then administer one that's subject to selective discrimination by incompetent floor associates. read more

We seen someone and they were helping a customer and the worker seen us waiting him for him to finish so he can help us well another customer walked up as soon as the worker was done and he went and helped that customer!!!! Bought a KitchenAid dishwasher from here, installed it myself, and turned out to be defective. I returned the dishwasher to the store and the associates never acknowledged the inconvenience or apologized for it and then they charged me for delivery for a replacement... So not only did I get a defective product, but customer service was subpar for the situation. If the next dishwasher doesn't work I'll just take my business to Home Depot. read more

In addition purchasing the oil heaters, I purchased the majority of the bathroom components needed for remodeling THREE bathrooms! Lowe's is my go-to for most home projects whether I am DIYing or having it installed. I had a terrible experience recently with a floor install. A LOT of back and forth, confusion, changes in the quote (even when I finalized and showed up to pay) waiting for calls, waiting on the hold system, the installer arriving with the wrong materials; it was awful. If that was my only experience with them, it would be break up time. I can't recommend Lowe's for flooring. However at about the same time, we were getting ready for a roofing project (yikes!) and my husband had nothing but great experiences with the pro desk in regards to roofing. They answered all his questions, helped him place his order, schedule delivery, warned him about potential pitfalls...So... I still love Lowe's, I go there for paint, for landscape materials, for outdoor furniture, Fathers Day gifts...all the things. And I still will. Just not flooring. read more

I would not recommend buying from Lowe's at all. It's unfortunate for the store but the distribution company that they use is down right horrible! They don't listen to the customers and have missed our delivery twice! They don't deliver to base any day but Thursday and they know we live on base. 2 individuals that they sent out the first time didn't even have a valid ID, both being expired. Called the company and asked for it to be delivered the same day and they said they "couldn't deliver any other day except Thursdays". So we went ahead and scheduled for that day and left a complaint to the manager because the lady on the line said that I couldn't speak with him directly. So today comes and we are supposed to get our washer and dryer this morning. They call at 11:30 this morning saying that they can't deliver today because they didn't load our stuff on the truck. So they said we have to wait for next Thursday to get delivered. The manager ended up giving us somewhat of a rebate but ended up hanging up on me and didn't say anything else. Purchased this fridge on 6/14/20, they said it was out of stock and can be delivered by 7/7/20 by 6pm, it is now 7pm on delivery day, no fridge, tried call there #455-4400, no answer in any dept, atleast Home Depot answers the phone. Update: finally someone answered there phone, now they tell me my fridge won't be delivered till 7/17/20 because it never showed up at the store for delivery, maybe a courtesy call would have been good, Home Depot from now on. read more

Horrible with online orders - they shorted me 3 boxes is laminate during my first order and 9 stair nosing on my second order... that's $400 worth of material, their delivery was a day late despite confirming the delivery date, and I had to go into the store twice. This is to warn people who purchase flooring and pick it up themselves. They will charge you a delivery charge for the installer to pick up and deliver even if you pick up yourself. This happened to me and luckily the installation company asked if I picked up my flooring. I told them I did. They said Lowe's charged me $366 for the installers to pick up. I immediately went to Lowe's to dispute the extra charge and the customer service dept. couldn't explain why I was charged. Finally an associate found out it was indeed for the installer to pick up. We were ready to buy a stove for my parents for Christmas but apparently it takes two associates to help one customer search online for a washer/dryer.
