I've been here twice. First visit made me want to come back. Second visit has made me a huge fan and I will be back often. Smash burgers are delicious, sides are excellent, service is great. On our second visit there was a little mixup on our order. Management went above and beyond to take care of us. Outdoor seating was also a plus. Nice, comfortable and relaxing. Love this place, but we made a reservation with a $20 no-show fee to their speak easy and there's no way to cancel and get our deposit back. Their phone doesn't work and they have no email. Will continue to visit and enjoy their food and staff's service, but not making any more reservations as it's just a money trap. read more

Beautiful venue but sadly the service is robotic and impersonal. Bartenders all looked (and acted) like they woke up, rolled out of bed and went to work, and not in a "Portland Hipster" kinda way. Would be a more relaxing experience if there was cocktail service rather than having to order everything at the bar. Rice bowl was very good, however. read more

Such a fun spot in Downtown Beaverton! They renovated an old church so the architecture, tile, plants, and vibe is amazing. They have so many fun cocktails to try and the food is also good. They also have a big patio which is nice as well. read more

I'm sorry, but they should be ashamed of themselves for serving a single fried chicken sandwich for $12. It was small, nothing special. For $12 I would expect the most gourmet chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life. Had about five shreds of lettuce, two pickles And brioche bun. No sides or anything. I added a side salad to my meal and it wound up being $17 for a tiny plain old side salad and a pathetic chicken sandwich. One of the most overpriced meals I've ever had. I would not be going back. Great McLoyal burger, sausages. Service hit or miss...you order at bar so little service anyway. What gets me at places like this, is $2 for 2 Tbsp of cheese sauce and $1 for Tbsp of "meh" ranch. Feel nickel and dimed. Leaves a bad taste (literally, since both are pedestrian sauces) and hard to justify returning . Beer was also pretty flat. In terms of location and ambiance, its solid spot especially that its in downtown Beaverton. Large rotating beer taps and pretty big whiskey selection is also a plus. Service however isnt all that great unfortunately. My bartender (long hair with a nose piercing just in case the manager reads this ) was really rude and didn't seem she wanted to be there. I politely asked for suggestions on recommendations for good pilsners, all I got was a "uhh I dont know just look at this" and points to the menu.. she follows it up with a " its impossible to know all the beers because we have a rotating tap!" ... at this point I'm still trying to be understanding and am actively trying to keep a positive attitude. Finally I pick a beer, tell her i need 3 of them... she proceeds to say "okay that'll be 7 dollars" ... i realize that she misheard me and thought i was only buying one , I reply saying "oh i need 3" ... she then says with an attitude "where are the other 2 people?"... at this point im starting to grow tired of her abrasive approach , i already gave her a pass for the first time but she seems to just have this vibe in general .. i say " we already got our ID's checked when we bought our first round" she proceeds to say " well its impossible to keep track of everybody that goes in our spot you know" then proceeds to finish the transaction... I can understand if someone is tired or having a bad day, but I also worked in the restaurant service business before and know for a fact, that it doesn't take much to be nice! This place has the potential to be a great business but needs to do better training for their servers/bartenders.... read more

The tots and fries were delicious. Came out fairly quickly. Had their aperol spritz and I liked that it wasn't overly sweet!

I was excited this location opened, but unfortunately the service we received was horrible! I rarely leave reviews but this was so bad. A bald gentleman took our order at the bar and was the absolute rudest. I won't be returning after this unfortunately because it was so bad. My first time here and the food was awesome. My only concern for them is the lack of runners. I don't mind waiting 30 minutes for my food but I did see at least 6 couples come inside only to turn around and leave. It could be merely a staffing problem like the rest of the world. Attended a work happy hour gathering at LL, never been there before. They had a great selection of both sours and ciders... never had a smash burger before... but thought it was great! They don't mind subs... I switched out the standard smash cheese to blue cheese and had barbecue sauce instead of the their standard. It was outstanding. I'll definitely be returning! read more

Wow! Very nice. My family's first time. I read up so no problem ordering at bar. I was glad not totally packed on a Sunday at one pm. I went up and ordered. Very specific on my sons hamburger. I went and sat down with our number. Was wondering why our drinks were taking so long. Bartender brought our drinks to us and said oh you forgot to get your drinks. I did not know I was suppose to wait. Not a big deal. Received food. My sons order was totally wrong on his special order burger. No lettuce, tomato sauce. He got all three. To be completely honest, my friends and I have came here since they opened... we had two new bartenders that we've never seen before and can't help but feel like we were singled for our race... we weren't obnoxious or foul in language with them. So glad to have my favorite beer bar closer to where I live. Nearly 100 rotating taps of Oregon beer! The original was my go to for out of state company, as it beats trying to make a plan to go to give different places to try an assortment of beer. And now, it's convenient to my home for more frequent visitation! Perfect. By the way, this is a bar. There are tables, booths, and a nice outside with a covered area, heaters, and a fire pit. I've been a few times in the past and although it was pretty busy, the food and service were good. This last visit was incredibly disappointing. Went early afternoon on NYE and it was pretty quiet although they only had one person working at the bar who was taking orders while also running food and making drinks. We felt bad for her and were understanding about being short staffed so we waited. But after being purposely ignored for about 10-15 minutes as we stood at the register waiting while people who got there after us got served we decided to go down the street to Breakside. If this is how the service is at Loyal Legion now, I suggest you head down the street to Breakside. Great food carts over there and an awesome and attentive bar staff. read more

Ok, so the bride and I stop in for lunch, and to sample some taps. Neither of us went for any of their home brews, so I'll just leave it at the beer was all good. I ordered a pretzel with cheese sauce as an appetizer. Spot on, and the bride loved the cheese sauce so much she asked for another thing of it for her fries. Now those fries... Look, I ain't big on fries, but I love potato chips. These babies were just like eatin' chips! Not all thick an' greasy, and the right amount of salt. So A+ on the fries, and yeah pretty good dipped in the cheese stuff. I ordered the Hello-Peno burger with some caramelized onions added on it. Well, people, I gotta say this shoulda been named the Hello-Charcoal burger. My first bite was like bitin' into a Kingsford briquet. Thank God I had a cold beer to wash it down with. Then the bun was cold, like just pulled outta the bag cold, like it never touched a grill or toaster over. So that sucked too. Now, after that first bite, it got a little better, but only a little. The patty was too thin for the cook. They cook all to medium, but I'd say this one was done closer to charred like a WWII german tank what took a bazooka to it's back end. The toppings were lost to all that char. So no on the burger. The wife had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Same deal, a cold shoulder on the bun. And the chicken looked like it swam a little too long in the deep fryer... and was kinda dried out cause of that, so meh there too. So bottom line, good beer, good pretzel and cheese sauce and good fries. All this being said, I'd prolly give'em another shot cause they only been open for about a month or so. Maybe in a few months a do-over. Maybe... Well, for sure for some beers and a pretzel. read more

BEAUTIFUL location in the heart of downtown Beaverton. Friendly staff serving a WIDE selection of beer and whiskey. (I always thought LL was just a beer hall, but they make a killer old-fashioned.) Pub grub consists of bready burgers, delicious sausages, and some tasty fried chicken nuggets. Can't wait for the patio/outside in the summer and the speakeasy to open. Their drinks are delicious and the ambient in the bar is great. Great service. However their food is terrible. Dive bar food at best. I had their crispy chicken sandwich because it's one of their popular dishes. That thing was disgusting. Dried chicken. Small little dry breast. That sandwich was the size of a kids meal burger. Seemed like it was previously frozen the way it tasted. Tator tots from a bag are basic. If you go for drinks it's awesome. If you go for food, we'll... don't. First time coming to this place so I like to pay attention to detail on my 1st experience. For it being a cocktail craft bar restaurant I was disappointed with the customer service. Bartenders are the heart of the bar. Sidney looked like she didn't want to be there. I'm a bartender myself, and now a bar manager/director. I understand busy but that's the skill of a bartender... being able to multitask and still make a simple connection with customers. At least a smile.
