Milk and Co Cafe is a great option if you're looking for good portions at very reasonable prices. They offer all-day specials along with lunch specials, making it easy to get a filling meal without spending much. We ordered the beef rice noodle roll, wonton noodle soup, baked pork chop with tomato sauce over rice, eggplant Szechuan style, sweet and sour fish fillet, Kung Pao chicken, salt and pepper squid, and the Peking-style pork chop. The standout for me was the beef rice noodle roll. The wrapper was silky smooth, the beef was tender, and it's hard to beat for only $3.99. The wonton noodle soup was another great value at $6.99, coming with a generous amount of noodles and large, meaty wontons in a hot, flavorful broth. The baked pork chop with tomato sauce over rice was also solid--the pork was lean, well-seasoned, and paired nicely with the tomato sauce. The lunch specials were surprisingly large and served family-style, so they're perfect for sharing if you're dining with a group. We had more than enough food for the table. Service was efficient, and the food came out quickly despite ordering several dishes. If you're in the Monterey Park area and want a casual Hong Kong-style café with generous portions and affordable prices, Milk and Co Cafe is definitely worth a visit.

I was going through liking photos taken and shared by fellow Yelpers. Thank you! I saw a great looking photo of wonton egg noodles. I'm a big fan of them. I knew I had to check out Milk & Co Cafe in Monterey Park. I find their biz name to be interesting and unique for a Hong Kong style eatery. I'm sure there is a story behind it. I did take-out instead of dine-in that night. I called ahead to order two Wonton Egg Noodle Soup. Spoke to a nice lady. Parking is available behind the restaurant. You can't really see the parking lot well when you're on Garvey Ave, but it's there. Upon entry, gentleman staff greeted me and asked how many people. I informed him I was picking up. My order was ready upon arrival. Lady staff at cashier was not the friendliest looking. I'm not sure if she was the one who took my order or what. I paid for my order and left. I didn't bother to take photos of the inside. Interior decor was very Hong Kong style inspired. I'll snap photos next time. Huge and tasty wontons complemented by plenty of egg noodles. Unfortunately, the soup was a bit bland. Price per bowl was super reasonable. It was $7.99 each totaling $15.45 which is not bad at all. It reminded me of the good old days when a bowl of noodles were less than $10 each. Nowadays it's a whole different era for a majority of restaurants. I want to return for a dine-in experience in hopes for better tasting dishes.

I had been wanting to try Milk & Co. Cafe since they opened, and my family finally stopped by for a light dinner. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by some of the poorest service I have ever encountered. From the start, it was nearly impossible to get a server's attention, even though there were two staff members working nearby. When we finally managed to order, the staff were unfriendly and inattentive. We ordered the Beef Chow Fun ($16.99) and the wonton soup special ($5.99). While the portion size of the soup was a good value, the broth was watery and overly salty, and I wouldn't order it again. The Beef Chow Fun was particularly disappointing; when it arrived, I discovered a hair in the dish. While my wife kindly asked for it to be remade, the replacement was quite oily and came back quite fast. Additionally, we had to go out of our way to request water, and when the server finally brought it, she simply threw the straws onto our table. We received no apology for the hair in our food or the lack of attentiveness throughout the meal. Given the abundance of other excellent Hong Kong and Cantonese restaurants in the area, we will not be returning to Milk & Co. Cafe. The lackluster service made this a truly frustrating experience.

We tried their $5.99 wonton noodle soup promotion that most foodie influencers from LA were talking about. It was a good deal, which was difficult to find in the Bay Area in this economy. The shrimp and pork wontons were big and delicious, and the wonton noodles were firm. We also got the curry beef with potatoes, which came with a complimentary pot of steamed rice that can feed a whole family of 10. The curry beef was alright, nothing special. As for dessert, we topped it off with a big glass of red bean shaved ice without ice cream. It was really sweet with sweet condensed milk and sweetened red beans. Overall, the servers were fast, and the food came out quickly. The portions were so big that the three of us couldn't finish the curry beef and rice. I prefer to go here only for the wonton noodle soup. The rest of the dishes were decent. Small restaurant with a Hong Kong decor with small parking.

I'm going to say a 3.5 for this Hong Kong style Café. We were nearby running errands and I had a craving for wonton noodles, and Yelp brought us here. Inside, there are booth seating on one side and open tables on the other. We had a booth. Service was fairly pleasant as our server rushed to place a part of what we wanted while we studied the menu for more items. Based on other reviews of rude service, we didn't get that from the few we interacted with. But a guy that appears to be the manager was very unpleasant, so that could've been it. The food came out rather quickly. We got two bowls of wonton noodles and they hit the spot. The wontons were huge and very good. Usually, I'm not a fan of rice rolls, but this one changed my mind as there were plenty of chopped beef and the rice roll itself was nice and soft, unlike the firm chewy ones I've had elsewhere. We also ordered a fish fillet and black bean sauce. It was covered with onions as seen in photo, but there were plenty of fish buried underneath. Another dish was the steamed mincemeat with salted egg. This was overcooked as the meat was a little bit dry and firm. Milk & Co. is a decent place to grab some HK style food while in Monterey Park, but I wouldn't make a special trip out here.

Milk tea was smooth, very HK style. Can't beet $5.99 wonton noodles soup! Noodles was bouncing, wontons were too big for my preference but nonetheless a great deal. French toast were yummy too.

I've been wanting to come here for so long! I originally heard about their opening over Chinese radio podcast. Also saw lots of advertising on Instagram from food bloggers about the pricing. There is a parking lot dedicated to the restaurant. Definitely your basic HK cafe experience with so many menu options. The place is clean, there's plenty of seating, and staff is friendly and nice. They did not rush us out the door like other restaurants. It wasn't too busy for lunch time. Portions were large for price and the food was delicious! Shrimp rice roll had a chewy outside and was freshly made. The sauce was not overly salty or sweet. The shrimp itself were large and perfectly done. HK style noodle was held its own flavor for each individual ingredient. The soup itself was clear and light. The noodles were snappy and not soggy. Hot HK milk tea was not sweet. Condensed milk is available on the table to be added for extra taste. Overall such a cute HK cafe with fantastic food, service, and pricing. Hope to be back soon!

Their wonton noodle soup is so good and such a steal at $6 for dine-in and $7 to go. There were five ginormous wontons, and they were SUCCULENT, not overcooked to bring out a hint of sweetness from the meat. The broth was also delicious. I got the other two specials to go: pork chop in tomato sauce and beef rice rolls. The former was a bit tough to chew, while the latter was satisfyingly thin and loaded with meat. I will definitely be back for more wonton noodle soup and beef rice rolls.

Came here for the first time with my friend for lunch. Been hearing good things about this place from friends so i decided to give it try. My friend and I were impressed with this place. Large portions, taste hk cafe style food. They only charge $1.50 for iced tea and iced coffee. My friend even got 3 free refills on his iced tea. Everything we ordered was delicious and our food came out very quickly. Friendly servers, geat value, great food, big portions. Definitely worth another visit

Wait wasn't too bad when we went around 11am. Gets packed and they'll ask you to leave once you've finished and paid. The line gets long. They have specials that's worth it! We got three of the wonton noodle soup, an order of steamed rice noodle roll with beef, baked pork chop with tomato sauce on rice, typhoon shrimp, and some drinks. It came out to less than $70. We had a lot of leftovers. So for the price, it was a steal! Can't wait to go back.

Here to review the dinner! Most entrees start at $16.99. Place is clean with quirky decor, very interesting to look at. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered the hainan chicken, salted fish & chicken fried rice, and garlic steak rice. Portions are family friendly. The hainan chicken ($16.99) had good quality chicken and was pleasantly surprised it was paired with a yellow ginger rice. Not so pleasantly surprised with the random cuts of lettuce and tomato on the side. Was hoping for a pickled veggie... or at the very least, some dressing? Garlic steak rice ($15.99) was an easy favorite! The rice was tossed with garlic, mushrooms, and green onion, plus a raw egg yolk at the center. The steak pieces were grilled nicely, medium rare, with some crispy edges and fatty pieces. Yum! Most lackluster was the salted fish and chicken fried rice ($16.99). Pretty solid, but parents critique was that the rice is too wet/clumpy for it to be a genuine fried rice. Can't wait to try their famous breakfast! But don't sleep on their dinner menu either!

Cute little remodeled cantonese food spot that reminds you of Hong Kong! Really like the decor and the milk tea cups. Service is typical nothing stood out, but pleasant enough. Their specialty is the salted egg yolk wings. They also have a good deal on the tomato sauce pork chop over rice. Lobster yee mein noodles were alright, but I've had better.

After tasting the food and the Braised Beef Noodles, I can tell it's really tasty and light, with no harsh components that make you thirsty and want to drink more water. So far, my family and I have really enjoyed the food here. Definitely will return and try other delicious foods next time.

I've been here with my coworkers so many times now that I've lost count. It's one of those…read morerestaurants where we've never had a bad experience and the food and service are consistent. It's one of the default lunch spots for us when we can't decide where else to go and everyone likes their food. The one negative I can point out is the parking situation. It does fill up and sometimes difficult to find a parking spot during busy times. We just have to plan to have our lunches a little earlier and carpool from our office. And yes, the glass the teas come in are humongous.

They opened and closed the door for us which was a nice touch because it was busy inside. We ordered the pork ramen, pork buns, and pork soup dumplings. On to the food! Pork Ramen: 3/5 They give you a hefty amount of noodles and pork. They use a thin noodle here which pairs well with the broth. I truly do believe this was around average for ramen as the flavor in the broth was not as strong or savory. The highlight of the entire entree was definitely the pork, which was tender and flavorful. I probably would not order this again. Pork bun: 5/5 The pork buns were soft and fluffy, almost too good looking to eat. There was the right amount of soup and meat inside that made for a wonderful bite full of flavor. Not dry at all. Would recommend ordering this if you visit. Pork Dumplings: 5/5 The star of the show, the dumplings. They were soft and just like the buns, they had the right amount of soup + meat which made for a delicious bite every time. My toddler even ate some and she's usually super picky about meat. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming here for the other noodles, the dumplings, and buns. You can skip on the ramen. I would 100% come back here to dine in. Quick note that parking gets full pretty quick here.

My mom noticed another table ordering the sweet and sour pork and immediately wanted to try it. It ended up being really good! I also ordered the Portuguese-style beef curry, which was flavorful, although I personally preferred the one at Macau HK Cafe. We also tried the pork chop baked spaghetti with red sauce and the pan-fried chicken steak. Everything was pretty satisfying and gave us a nice variety of Hong Kong-style comfort food. The ambiance was fun, with the restaurant designed to resemble the streets of Hong Kong. Service was a little lacking during our visit, but the food made up for it. Overall, I'd definitely come back to try more dishes!

The servers…read moreseemed rushed and distracted, often grabbing things quickly without really listening, and the restaurant itself could have been cleaner. Our food also arrived at very different times. The chicken steak came out significantly before the chicken cutlet, and it was mediocre at best. It was barely warm, which made it seem like it had been sitting out for a while, and the chicken was quite fatty and difficult to eat without picking it apart. The bigger issue came when the chicken cutlet finally arrived. While my fiancé was cutting into the chicken, he found a **whole screw in the food**. We're generally very passive at restaurants and don't like making a fuss, but this was completely unacceptable. We called the waiter over, and while she apologized, the response felt very dismissive and there was no real acknowledgment of the seriousness of what had happened or any effort to accommodate us. She eventually asked whether we wanted to cancel the order or have another one made. We chose to have it remade, and although the replacement came out later, there was still very little acknowledgment of the incident. Overall, we were extremely disappointed. Mistakes can happen, but finding a screw in your food is a serious issue, and we expected much more attentive service and concern from the staff afterward. Unfortunately, the entire experience felt more focused on getting customers in and out than providing a quality dining experience. We left feeling very disappointed and would not return.
