So before I could shut the engine off- a friendly face runs up to my car- before I could finish the words, "I need an oil change" it was on the lift and he was working on it. Oh, that is after he mentions they have FREE INTERNET for customers- ? So I walk into this very clean, waiting room- awesomely comfortable leather couch, a stack o magazines, a tv, a snack/ water machine... a FEW computers for customers, not one, a couple... I went to the Lube Center this morning after having a bad experience with the new Valvoline Oil Change. I got there at 715 so that I could be first in line and hopefully make it to work on time. I expected to wait for a bit but Ron came out and helped me right away. He invited me to wait in their lobby while he got started on the oil change and I found it to be a pleasant environment. The oil change took about 20 or 25 minutes, which isn't bad for my car. The price was less than it would have been at Valvoline and the best part was they didn't try and sell me a bunch of services I "might" need while I waited. I found everyone there to be really friendly and most importantly, honest and direct. I will definitely be going back to Lube Center! read more

Can't say enough good things about this place. I always get my oil changed here. A little bit more expensive than some other places, but the window cleaning and vacuuming is above and beyond, and totally worth it in my opinion. Not to mention that they are really quick! I've had some other repairs done here, too, and they were great. Most recently my car was broken into and the battery was stolen, and one of the terminals was messed up in the process. They replaced it no problem, and at a beyond reasonable price. Nicest guys, too! read more

Let's face it, no one LOVES getting an oil change. No one I know at least. But we all need oil changes, so it's great when you can go somewhere that makes the experience as pleasant and as possible. The waiting room is nice and clean, comfortable. The A/C works, they offer free wi-fi so you can get your work done, check your email, pretend it's your home office. Lube Center Really nice people! And super fast service! I googled the lube shops in the area and most of them were 2 stars and complained of terrible service. Lube Center is nearly a 5 star (5 stars from me!), and rightly so! I called and asked if I'd be able to get in and they said "sure". I expected at least an hour wait and I think I was out within 15 minutes. Even got to work early! They did the basic oil/filter change and checked the fluids and tires and vacuumed the front of my car and washed the windshield. They didn't try to sell me ANYTHING! They have a nice little waiting area with coffee, magazines and internet. I asked, and they can do everything except smog check and tires. I'll definitely be going back! read more

I brought my car in for an oil change. It was quick and easy. I love using locally owned and small businesses because there is a sense of integrity and great customer service that larger companies lack. For example, I had been planning change the air filters myself because so many companies charge 200+ for that service, when the parts are under $60, and it's so simple to change them - a caveman can do it. They noticed my air filter were really dirty, and offered to change with no charge for labor when I mentioned I was going to do it myself. How convenient! Thank you so much. I always put off oil changes because I feel like I'm getting ripped off. My wife and I finally brought in both of our cars to the Lube Center and--can you believe it!-- they didn't try to upsell us? We were in and out and only paid for the oil change. Was it a few bucks more than some big chain places? Maybe. But it's worth every penny to not have to hear how you need X and Y and Z, then end up paying three times what you thought you were gong to pay. Brent, the manager, seems like a really good guy. Seriously, this couldn't be easier. Pull in, get an oil change in about 15 minutes, pay half the fee you'd pay to have a dealer service the car, and then pull out. I've used this service three times now, and each time it was like clockwork. Ron and Brent are very cool. I'd asked if they carried a motorcycle product. They didn't, so Ron pointed me towards a store across the street and said to mention his name. Found the exact product I was looking for, and when the owner heard that Ron sent me over, he knocked off 20%. Returned to the Lube Center in about 15 minutes, picked up my car and was done. I found Lube Center through Yelp and after reading the reviews I tried them today. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you go there. They did the oil change in under 30 minutes. The waiting room has a comfy sofa, a coffee table stacked with current magazines, and free coffee & water. The free internet bar has 3 computers but you'll barely have time to surf the web since your car will be ready so quickly. When the check engine light came on in my car I had that sinking feeling, wondering how much time, effort and money it would take to get it to go away. A good friend recommended Lube Center since I have yet to find a mechanic I'm satisfied with in L.A.-- and I'm HAPPY to report that has now been rectified. Lube Center was a complete pleasure to deal with, from start to finish. They took care of my car right away, fixed it at a low price, and didn't try to up-sell me on a single thing -- nor did they "find" something else that needed repair like the dealership always does. (I'm almost looking forward to the next time I need to repair my car, now that I have a place to take it.) Lube Center is fairly priced and offers expedient and friendly customer service. Like others here, I found the mechanics to be helpful and the center to be comfortable while waiting (coffee, internet service, seating). The guys are all smiles and Brent was terrific on the phone and in person. I chose to visit during a busy lunch hour and there was a wait, but they queue you up as soon as possible and the actual work is efficiently performed. The cost was actually close to what I paid when my fella and I performed the oil change ourselves. It was worth my while to have a professional handle it this time; changing the filter beneath the hood is a pain. Their invoices clearly outline what was used and performed, and the cost was less than what I've been quoted from Jiffy Lube/EZ Lube/Goodwrench, so win, win, win all around. read more

So friendly and honest! I found this place through the other great reviews on Yelp and they were all right. Super friendly, clean, free internet access, good coffee, soda machine, etc. You name it, they've thought of it to make sure you are comfortable while you wait. I even saw Ron hug a returning customer. So sweet. I got an oil change in less than 20 minutes, and only paid $40 out the door. A lot cheaper than other places I've been. They checked all my levels, and even told me I didn't need an air filter change until next time - Ron (the super friendly guy at the front desk) even showed it to me! After spending years being hustled by too many of those chain oil / lube service centers, I decided to go to The Lube Center and see if these guys would actually live up to their Yelp reputation. And that they did. The service was fast, friendly and absolutely NO up sell hustle. 4 stars! Talk about a dream come true for this "girl" that doesn't quite know her way around under the hood of a car. Then, they earned their 5th star when they were more than happy to help with a few other minor repairs (replace a fuse & turn signal bulb) that my car needed. I think I was there 20 minutes, max. Always quick...honest and dependable... Case in point: brake light was coming on, so I asked Brent and his team to check on my brakes...All I needed was some brake fluid ... And they even rotated my tires! Oh, and in regards to "racist" flyers on the wall, all that is up is a few jokes about oil changes, proud to be an American anecdotes, and one e-mail about the support of drug testing if one is on public assistance. Amazing service, kindness, and honesty! My family and I were heading south through Burbank on our way to Legoland when we noticed our check engine light came on. Earlier that mourning when I filled up, I accidentally started the car before putting the gas cap on. I figured that was why the check engine light came on, but I was a long way from home and had no way of checking. By chance I was driving right by their shop and pulled in to ask if I could borrow a wrench to pop my battery cable off and back on to reset the check engine light to see if it would come back on or not. They did even better than that! They ran a quick diagnostic on it, confirmed it was the gas cap that caused the problem, cleared the check engine light, and didn't charge me a dime to do it! What kindness on their part! They knew I was from out of town, this was in no way buying a future customer. The whole process took less than 15 minutes and we were back on the road with absolute peace of mind about what was going on with the car. These guys do quality work. I go here for my oil change, it's so fast and it's a quality job too, it's also pretty cheap comparatively. The staff is very helpful, they also have 3 computers with internet access you can use during your wait. They even have a telephone booth from Chicago in the waiting room, how cool is that? It's definitely the place to go to get you car worked on too. I had a problem with my car and took it to 3 other shops, none of them could figure out the problem...one shop even specialized specifically in my make and model and even they couldn't figure it out. I remembered about these guys, took it in, and the problem was finally diagnosed. They fixed the problem and now my car runs like a champ. I recently moved here and one thing you need is a trustworthy auto repair shop, especially in LA. It's not a massive chain, it's not a trashy joint, it's right in the middle, which is perfect. I feel lucky to have found an auto shop I can count on to bring my car to when if it dies, or when it's time for another oil change...lt's hard to find places like this, but I'm glad I did. read more
