After a weekend of hanging downtown decides to go to Fullbelly as we live the location in Sonterra…read more Upon arrival we noticed the sign was much different than the location in Sonterra Is also larger in the inside with a minimalist decor. We were promptly sat as it was not very busy. It took a little while for someone to come to our table and take our order. My wife ordered the Mexican Hot Chocolate and I a regular coffee. The Mexican Hot Chocolate was a little flat and lacked the richness that a Mexican Hot Chocolate usually has. The coffee was a little weak for my taste but that is subjective. We started with the Buttermilk Biscuits and Sausage Gravy , the biscuits we moist and flaky but cold, the sausage gravy was more like gravy poured over sausage and biscuits ( we're not cooked together ). My wife ordered the Basic Breaky (eggs, bacon, potatoes milk bread toast). The eggs were cooked right and the bacon was good. Nothing special about it but is is the basic breaky. I order the shrimp and grits, seasoned shrimp with the tail in top of cheese grits, and a tomato based sauce. The shrimp were seasoned well and cooked pretty decent. The grits weren't as cheesy as expected but still good. The tomato based sauce threw off the balance of the meal and did not belong . Overall, I can say that this location does not provide the same experience service wise or food quality as the Sonterra location. I will stick to that location.

I'm used to the gravy being cooked with the sausage. This seemed more like a deconstructed version. While the gravy was hot the biscuits were cold. The gravy lacked seasoning. I'm salt sensitive, but had to add salt and pepper to the dish to add flavor. The breakfast plate was your usual breakfast dish. It was good. I've eaten at both locations and I think I prefer the food at the other location to this one.

Last week, we all decided to go to Gus', and boy does this place smack. The chicken was spicy, juicy, and crispy, and apparently it is devoid of gluten. FIRST TIME VISIT!…read more THE LOCATION: Downtown and I believe near the King William community. Street parking is tricky with all the "no parking anytime" signs, but there is paid parking next door, which is pricey, but get this... GUS'S VALIDATES up to one hour. We went on a Sunday afternoon and got a seat fast and was out of there in under an hour. THE MENU: crispy fried chicken. And spicy. Probably not ideal to bring your littles unless they can handle the heat . The hubby selected a chicken tenders meal and I went with a two piece fried chicken meal. I don't like drumsticks, but I'll deal with a drummette. I know, I know. I asked for a thigh and wing and selected bbq beans and Mac n' cheese as my sides. The beans were sweet and tangy and the Mac n cheese was ok. I really enjoyed the crispness of the chicken. Just wish they had a mild version of the chicken, as well. THE SERVICE: I am very impressed at how attentive and friendly the service is here. They don't hover over you but are efficient at the same time. I recommend this place if you're in the area or have a hankering for crispy, spicy chicken! DON'T FORGET! Bring your parking ticket with you

I think I will some it up as jack of all trades but a master of none. Nothing in particular stood out as amazing but it is a good variety selection some chicken was tender while their beef shawarma was on the dry or overcooked and hard with not much flavor. I did think their rice pudding dessert was delicious. I went on a Monday night and the price is 25 per adult. The restaurant is clean and nice on the inside and it seems like their workers are diligent in making the food and being attentive.

It is what it is expected from a buffet. The cooked meals are all swimming in oil which Mediterranean cuisine is very well known to be on the healthier side. If you are trying to be healthy definitely skip this place otherwise you would only be left with the salad bar. If they limited the usage of oil I will frequent it more. The price of the buffet is very reasonable they also have a good variety of dishes. The service is hit or miss the last time a dish was missing I asked and the person serving wasn't too friendly about it. I went back in about 10 minutes and still the tray was empty. If you haven't tried Mediterranean food this place is a good starting point to get introduced to many dishes all at once

It's a little expensive, even for a weekend. You would expect more and better choices for the prices we paid. About $80 for two adults and a midget. They had your typical fare. The least favs-ribs(tough/dry and no flavor), steak(tough and under seasoned), steam buns(the filling just no), bourbon chicken(dry chicken and not enough sauce), and the consensus least fav were all the desserts. There was flying bugs, and everything was super dry and tasted old. I get it, what do expect for a Chinese buffet in San Antonio? Well I expect no flying insects in the desserts for the price I paid. Also, 75 % of the fruit we got was as tough as the steak. Oh, and the cold shrimp, either overcooked or thawed the wrong way. The shell was practically glued on. The positives-all the rice and noodle dishes were good to ok. The hot and sour soup was really good! The teriyaki chicken was actually good. The bigger sauced rib was good. The kimchi was some of the better we've had recently. The spring rolls with peanut were good. The two fish dishes we had(fried and not fried) were actually quite nice. All the breads were good. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Almost forgot, the bathrooms were kinda gross. They need to be kept clean. Will not come back again.

The buffet options are good, but their general tso's chicken is not the best (and I judge how good overall Chinese buffets on this lol). A surprise hit is the sautéed green beans, which are perfectly cooked and garlicky--just like how you'd find it traditionally cooked in Chinese cuisine. I also think they're deep fried (salt and pepper?) shrimp (next to the crawfish) is very delicious. Plates are cleared pretty quickly and the buffet space is kept orderly and decently clean.
