I ordered a carne guisada plate to go. I looked at their menu and they have lots of good things. I ordered a small lemonade. It wasn't expensive and the price was reasonable. The service was good and friendly too. It was also my first time going after living nearby for almost 8 years but I never read nor saw a review by any food vlogger/influencer on social media so I had to try it myself. The carne guisada wasn't the best nor was it the worst. The tortillas were okay but I didn't like the rice. I'll return soon to try the tacos or other breakfast items soon. read more

Highly recommend this restaurant. Food is very good. In a city full of Mexican restaurants this one stands on its own. Great tortillas. Enchiladas use carne guisada sauce instead of ranchero sauce. Omelettes cooked the right way, with meat mixed into the eggs (instead of cooked separately and put inside the egg). Super friendly folks, quick service, and nice clean tables with festive decorations in the walls. We came for breakfast, will be back to try lunch. A group of us went here recently. We ate and asked for to go teas. When we got back to work, a co-worker was sipping her tea when something crunchy entered her mouth. She immediately spit it out on to a napkin. It was a roach! Since we were all served out of the same pitchers, it's a safe bet that others drank roach parts! Where there's one, there's a million. Possibly one of those hit or miss places depending on the day. We decided to go there for lunch since they have all you can eat cheese enchiladas. My partner raves about them. He was not wrong. They were good, and were dangerously easy to eat. I should have followed my partners lead. Instead, I ordered barbacoa tacos and a cup of menudo. The barbacoa was dry and flavorless. The menudo looked appetizing, but was mostly bland. Again, maybe it just wasn't their best day for those items. We'll be back for those enchiladas though! read more

"Everything is BIG in Texas", except for this place. The smallest food portions I've ever seen. The Super Nachos are nothing but super but a small portion of nachos without much ingredients on them. The server said she would bring the tortillas and there was only one tortilla in the warmer. I guess the food tasted alright and the atmosphere feels authentic and unique. I just feel the owner is trying to maximize prophets without satisfying the customer's stomach. read more

we went there as a group of 14. We ordered the chips and salsa for the group and they came out very oily and tasted like rancid grease. We spoke to the manager and her answer was that they make new ones every day but did nothing to try and make it better . I ordered the chalupas with meat and avocado. Get their enchiladas! Wednesday's are all you can eat enchiladas!!! They are the best in town, in my opinion. We usually go on Saturday mornings- early afternoon. Always amazing service. Misty is our server and she has such a great memory! She makes sure your drinks are full and your order is accurate. She's also very personable and the kids love her! I've literally lived 3 minutes from this restaurant the last 21 years of my life and have only been there twice, but after my most recent visit, that's for sure gonna change! We were greeted pretty quickly, there was some confusion where our waitress thought someone else took our drink orders so she checked on us and promptly left the table not understanding that we hadn't ordered our drinks yet. After she realized what happened, she came over and apologized which was greatly appreciated. Everyone liked their food, one of my dining companions said their bean and cheese tacos weren't the greatest but also not the worst. I personally had a difficult order due to dietary restrictions but the waitress was more than accommodating and kind about my request. I tried their barbacoa with avocado (which came smashed, not sliced) and chorizo and egg, both were great! The barbacoa was luckily not too greasy or fatty. Their green salsa was very good, just the right amount of spice! Their coffee was just ok but I didn't expect much coming into it. Overall, it was a good meal, I'll definitely be stopping by more often! read more

Had the worst experience at this restaurant. The staff is extremely rude, arguing with their customers in front of the entire restaurant. The customers in line before me were overcharged for their meals. When they had them recalculate the bill, the lady at the counter argued with them. And low and behold, they were wrong. Then they overcharged me for my meal. When I tried to explain that I ordered off their "Breakfast of the Month" menu, which included coffee, I was told because I ordered bacon on the side, that I was going to be charged individually for every single item. What a rip off! And that's after charging an extra 50 cents for eggs, because the price of eggs went up. read more

Absolutely the WORST EXPERIENCE ever. For someone of a "professional" establishment to argue with a customer only because I asked what was charged on my ticket? RITA at the restaurant proceeded by telling me that if I can't afford going out to eat that I should go out to eat. I asked her who she was and get this....she was the owner! Wow! That was my first experience there and certainly my last! I was actually excited to stop by cause it sits on my side of town and I always support mom and pop type businesses but they can't treat people like that and not have repercussion for it. I told her that I was going to put my review in the internet and her response was that she didn't care. She then threw my receipt at me.This all happened in front of my 8 and 10 year old. Couldn't believe how we were treated after coming to this place a few time. Really, just for the pancakes. Today, will be my last time ever going. The waitress, daughter, Mexican lady with Blonde hair was offended because we were not satisfied with the coffee. My husband and I told her it was not fresh, so we asked for a fresh pot. It didn't need to be so complicated to request fresh coffee, she comes over to me and says "Thank you very much, and "Don't come back again". Really upset me, because we weren't asking for much. I then try to explain to her boss, owner, manager, lover whoever he is at the counter. He starts raising his voice to me saying "ma'am what's the problem, the coffee is fresh and you're taking it with you". She's pretty much laughing at the situation.
