    My receipt

I walk with the use of a cane and an employee was called to carry my tray for me. Waitress was fine. Broccoli was not warm. Mostly elders while I was here.

    Happy kids.

Yum! Business was booming today and it's easy to see why! Myself and all the kiddos enjoyed our meals. And best yet, the kids' meals were free. A great price for a great meal with superior service. My Baked Almondine was both flaky and tasty. My boys enjoyed their jello too!

This was my first time eating at a Luby's and I was impressed! They have a wide range of options for whatever you're craving. It's truly customizable and all the food is delicious. The restaurant holds a lot of people and seems to be very busy. Service is great for ordering, paying, and servers make sure your drink is always full.

Traditional American food. I've been coming here for years and I have so many memories here. My dad would bring us here after church service on Sundays. My favorite plate is the fried fish ( LUANN PLATTER ) the consistency of this dish remains the same. The mashed potatoes are not clumpy and hard. The macaroni is always hot and has the right amount of cheese! Great place to bring the whole family. Thank you for your fantastic service, beautiful atmosphere, very friendly and family oriented! Great customer service, Amazing Food. Not to mention this is my favorite place to dine in!

It's a little expensive, even for a weekend. You would expect more and better choices for the prices we paid. About $80 for two adults and a midget. They had your typical fare. The least favs-ribs(tough/dry and no flavor), steak(tough and under seasoned), steam buns(the filling just no), bourbon chicken(dry chicken and not enough sauce), and the consensus least fav were all the desserts. There was flying bugs, and everything was super dry and tasted old. I get it, what do expect for a Chinese buffet in San Antonio? Well I expect no flying insects in the desserts for the price I paid. Also, 75 % of the fruit we got was as tough as the steak. Oh, and the cold shrimp, either overcooked or thawed the wrong way. The shell was practically glued on. The positives-all the rice and noodle dishes were good to ok. The hot and sour soup was really good! The teriyaki chicken was actually good. The bigger sauced rib was good. The kimchi was some of the better we've had recently. The spring rolls with peanut were good. The two fish dishes we had(fried and not fried) were actually quite nice. All the breads were good. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Almost forgot, the bathrooms were kinda gross. They need to be kept clean. Will not come back again.

The buffet options are good, but their general tso's chicken is not the best (and I judge how good overall Chinese buffets on this lol). A surprise hit is the sautéed green beans, which are perfectly cooked and garlicky--just like how you'd find it traditionally cooked in Chinese cuisine. I also think they're deep fried (salt and pepper?) shrimp (next to the crawfish) is very delicious. Plates are cleared pretty quickly and the buffet space is kept orderly and decently clean.

It is what it is expected from a buffet. The cooked meals are all swimming in oil which Mediterranean cuisine is very well known to be on the healthier side. If you are trying to be healthy definitely skip this place otherwise you would only be left with the salad bar. If they limited the usage of oil I will frequent it more. The price of the buffet is very reasonable they also have a good variety of dishes. The service is hit or miss the last time a dish was missing I asked and the person serving wasn't too friendly about it. I went back in about 10 minutes and still the tray was empty. If you haven't tried Mediterranean food this place is a good starting point to get introduced to many dishes all at once

Sushi was decent and they had a pretty large menu to select from. $30.99 for all you can eat dinner isn't a bad deal at all especially with this economy. Fish was fresh and they seem to use good quality rice. I must say that the service was impeccable though. Just you, the menu, and a quiet understanding that nobody is leaving early. Brought Jimmy "The Hammer" along for this one. A dangerous man in this setting. His only complaint before we even sat down was that it wasn't all you can drink. Fair concern. Thirty dollars for the dinner menu. Fair play. That is about standard across the city. The real question is whether you can actually make it worth it. I started strong. Ten salmon nigiri. Ten tuna. Four shrimp. A couple white tuna. A couple yellowtail. Across the table, Jimmy didn't say much. Just kept eating. That's usually how you know things are going well. At some point it stops feeling like dinner and starts feeling like a bit of a challenge. You settle into it. Find your rhythm. No wasted movement. Then came the rainbow rolls. Two of them. Always my test. You can tell everything you need to know about a sushi spot from that one roll. Balance, freshness, attention to detail. This one delivered. Clean, refreshing, exactly what you want. Added some chicken skewers for good measure. Bit of char, bit of heat, keeps things grounded. Place was packed. Not chaotic, just busy in the right way. Staff stayed on top of it. Plates moving, orders landing, no one left waiting. By the end of it, I leaned back and took stock. Full. Satisfied. No regrets. Five stars.

I know him from a couple of shows I attended at Southtown 101 a couple of years ago. This is weird. A bunch of people were there, mostly families with young children. It is advertised as family karaoke. The bar has a sign stating that there are no minors after 9pm allowed. The families all seem to know each other. It is almost cult-like. A lot of the kids sang and it was cute. By 9:15pm, all the kids and their families were gone. About six of our adults were left. Mondo bizarro. I got to sing four songs so I'm not complaining. I did remark to one of the remaining adults that this was cult-like. He said yes, an Alamo Heights cult. Ahhhh... Creepy, but fun. My Pacificos were $7 each, a Coke was $2.77. Food truck food is offered. Lots of choices for nibbles. Give them a try.

Even with a large order, everything was served quickly and arrived hot. Here's the breakdown of what we tried: Brisket Nachos: Heavy on the brisket and perfectly layered. Chicken Tenders: Crispy, juicy, and a hit with both the kids and the adults. Tacos: Fresh flavors and great portions. Fried Okra: The perfect salty snack to pair with a cold beer.

The only thing that's a little confusing is the menu. It seems they had set plates to order from and unless you've been there or speak Filipino you might not know what is allowed or how you can mix items. The place gets busy and if you're not familiar with the way the menu works asking questions can feel bothersome and you'll feel rushed. The prices are somewhat decent but it can get expensive. The food though is delicious and seating can be limited but it's definitely worth coming out here and trying the food. The place itself is a market but they section off the area you eat so if you're looking for ambiance this ain't the place. If you're looking for good Filipino food then definitely try it out.
