Crabcake appetizer and the queso fresco with brisket was phenomenal! They were not cheap with the brisket even though at first it doesn't look like much. Chicken tortilla soup has a very strong celery stock flavor. Almost reminds you of an Indian seasoning that was added to the mix or something. Wasn't a fan. Caesar salad was heavy on the dressing; was soaked so I didn't eat more than two bites. Steak cuts were great! We didn't add any toppings as it is not needed. Service was good and booth seating was secluded and had a romantic vibe. Overall, nice outing.

6oz Center cut sirloin with lump crab, Parmesan truffle fries and an aioli sauce to dip fries in. Amazing, juicy, perfect!

I came in to do take out. I sat at the bar finally acknowledged after 10 minutes. Received the menu and was ready to order after sitting there and not able to get the attention of the server I decided to dine in. My server was very attentive. So happy I decided to dine in. My server Ryan is very attentive and is making sure the remainder of my experience is a great one. The atmosphere was great I must say the music was a little louder than usual to me. The food was delicious. I ordered fried mushrooms and shrimp pasta

We were visiting San Antonio for hubby's Viet Nam reunion; came here for a Texas angus beef steak dinner! Hubby chose the ribeye with fries; I had potato soup as an appetizer. However, the soup was too spicy for my liking. I had a filet with green beans. Green beans were excellent but my steak, again, was too peppery and spicy for my taste. Being from the Midwest, we don't eat very spicy food and this was a little too much for our palates!

William was a great server . He seated a party of 15 at around 7ish on 7/7/26 and although it was a little late he was a very attentive server . We will be coming back as his customer service was great. The food was also delicious.

Food was amazing. Perfect portions. We shared a 19oz ribeye cooked to perfection. Paired with Rabble wine from Paso Robles. The staff was very friendly and we didn't have to wait long between drinks even as it got very busy.

Skillet queso and chips. Small. Good for one person.

A great place if you need to Impress someone...please not your date. This four star is really pushing it for me. I give this to our sweet server whose name I forgot (sorry). We came as a group of girls to share some appetizers and drinks. Drinks too expensive so we changed to water. Tenderloin bites have a great taste but swimming in oil. Skillet queso great but small. Brussel sprouts great. Smoked Mac and cheese okay. Carrot cake for the win!!! Watch out! A mad bull will stare at you while you eat. He's mad that you ate his brother! ;) The listed above items all we ate still had a $47 bill. Nice place but I'll appetizer AND drink somewhere else next time.

    The redfish never disappoints.

Words don't begin to describe my joy when I found out this restaurant brought back the redfish -- my very favorite dish on their menu. I had to make do with the salmon when I visited before, and it just was not the same. I made a reservation and we were seated very quickly. Our waitress was attentive and informative and the food was very tasty. My husband had a ribeye steak and was completely satisfied. We met some friends here for dinner and we all had a great time chatting and socializing. I am really looking forward to our next visit. The whole experience was great!!

First time at this location and it was amazing ! The New York Strip steak was so soft & delicious ! Kids Spaghetti was a great amount ! I love that meals come with a soup or salad first ! Bread was nice ! Nothing amazing but it was okay . Service was okay . Server left us hanging for little while but he came around eventually he was training so i understand. The location was nice and clean . Host team was nice ! Also that giant pepper shaker was amazing!

My last dinner in San Antonio was at nearby LongHorn Steakhouse, and it was such a disappointment that I wanted to try out this Saltgrass Steakhouse as my last meal in San Antonio, outside of the airport at least. This Saltgrass location is located just off the 410 loop west of the 281. It's real close to the airport and was a big reason why I chose to dine here right before my last rental car ride to the airport. Besides this one and the Riverwalk location, which I had already visited, there are four other locations in San Antonio. There was someone right at the front door, but it looks like he's actually an employee who simply opens the front door for you. Greeter perhaps? But then again, he's not really doing any greeting. When I came in, I saw the bar off to the left, and I asked the hostess if the bar was open seating, to which she answered affirmatively. I chose to sit there. A minute or two after I took a seat at the bar, Brittney was the one who served me. She was pretty good, a lot better than the server I had the previous night at LongHorn. She got me started with a glass of iced water, and then I asked her about the lunch specials. I had seen them online, but turns out they're only for weekdays. A little disappointing, but I wouldn't have been able to make a weekday lunch anyhow. The previous night, I had an Outlaw Ribeye from LongHorn, so this time, I wanted to do something a little different and choose a seafood. I didn't want another steak since it would have been 2 steak meals within a 24-hour time span. As a result, I went with the Atlantic Salmon. Brittney mentioned the salmon would come with a side and a soup or salad. For the side, I asked about the flash fried green beans, and she mentioned they are only lightly fried at best, about 30 seconds tops. I wanted to see how lightly fried green beans would taste, so I went with the green beans. For the soup, I already had the Loaded Baked Potato Soup from the Saltgrass Riverwalk location, so i went with the other soup option, the Chicken Tortilla. Brittney also offered me bread to go with my tortilla soup, and I couldn't refuse. The soup, however, was quite watery. Definitely nowhere near as creamy as the Loaded Baked Potato, but the flavor was still there nonetheless. It just doesn't go as well with the complimentary bread, but there is enough butter for the piece of bread that you get. It took a while for the plate of Atlantic Salmon and Flash Fried Green Beans to come out. I was impressed at how the Flash Fried Green Beans were cooked. Almost to perfection, at least according to my taste buds! The salmon was quite good, but could have been better, at least in the flavor department. The top of the salmon was nicely charred, but perhaps borderline burnt? Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the rest of the salmon. When I was done, Brittney was impressed at how I ate so fast! Well, I did have to catch a flight in 3 hours, so that's why I didn't want to spend too long there, but the tasty food helped as well. It could have had better flavor overall, but I was satisfied enough that I'd consider this a successful meal to end my trip to San Antonio. The interior of the restaurant is kind of dark, but there's plenty enough western decor to make you admire the place while you wait for your food. Service overall by Brittney and the other servers from what I could see was on point. Farewell Saltgrass and farewell San Antonio! It's been real. They don't have a location in California, but if I travel somewhere else that has a Saltgrass location, I'll definitely stop by! :)

    Yummy ribeye.
    Roel Kristy V.

Wow! Don't count this location out for a delicious steak! I know, I know, us self-acknowleged steak snobs are not to flock to 'chain' grill joints, but....oh, my....this was an impeccable flavor and and, Oh, so tender. My 12 oz ribeye was cooked exactly medium rare, not over or under. Same with my husband's sirloin. Oh, don't overlook the wonderful fried mushrooms, which are all sizes and are clearly fried fresh. Perfect appetizer. Thank you for a great meal

As a longtime Landry member, we enjoy doing reviews on different Landry locations around Texas. While visiting San Antonio, we decided to stop at this Saltgrass for a late lunch. Upon entering, we were welcomed and accommodated with a table request. The environment was quiet and noticed several large parties. We ordered drinks which came out quickly and then ordered a 6 count shrimp cocktail, which appeared not to be cleaned properly and no pico on the cocktail sauce. We ordered the redfish and it came out hot and very delicious. The food was okay and unfortunately gave this location a two star because our credit card was not returned as we handed it to our server.

Sirloin with green beans. A lot of gristle.
    Dave H.

Another long day at the office with no time to run out for lunch. This time we tried the lunch menu. The prices have really gone up. My small sirloin without any drink was over $20 after tax and tip. I had the sirloin with green beans and caesar salad. The salad was fresh and I enjoy the dressing. The green beans were the start of the show. Fresh and not overcooked, with a nice seasoning. But the sirloin disappoints. It was medium rare as I ordered, but my coworkers asked what all the noise was as I tried to cut it. The plastic knife had trouble cutting through all the gristle. I didn't give up and chewed what I could. You can see in the photo whar was left. Another coworker had the ribeye and said it was good. And another had the cheeseburger. She said it was okay.

We didn't realize this place was a cousin of Shiro and owned by the same guy until we saw some similarities in their style, layout and menu but nevertheless, the food was still absolutely amazing. Even though the ambiance had some similarities, I'm glad their food options were distinguished because otherwise could have just gone downtown. You cannot go wrong with any of their food options. Highly recommend doing family style so you can get a taste of everything and all the different flavors. We started with the gyoza and calamari which were to die for and were not greasy at all. Pork ssam, wagyu, miso pasta and octopus all brought a little bit of their own element and flare to your palate that it's hard to describe unless you try it. Wagyu was just melt in your mouth delicious. Pork ssam and octopus had their crunchy texture and umami flavors. The miso pasta added a light refreshing touch to balance everything out but don't let it fool ya, the noodles will expand in your stomach. We topped it off with their yuzu cake. Our only disappointment was they were out of their other desserts but nevertheless everyone of us left full and happy. Would come here again.

When I first read about Yozora, I honestly thought it sounded a bit pretentious. Fascinating, but…read morepretentious. Because the idea of music being an actual integral part of the dining experience--not just some kind of background noise--felt a little precious for my taste. I'm glad to admit I was wrong. So let's start with the ambiance and the vibe of Yozora. It's in a fairly non-descript kind of center; not bad but not specially memorable. But the space itself is open and has an air of restrained sophistication. And then there's that hi-fi set up. The music at Yozora really is part of the experience, but it's not intrusive in the way that you'd think. Most of what my dining companion and I heard was 50s and 60s jazz, and it was perfect for the occasion. Sushi and Coltrane are a great mix, and even though we were not far from the hi-fi system, I could hear every word of our conversation, without the need for either of us to raise a voice. Somehow, it's like the music operates on a different frequency from regular table chatter. Suffice to say, the music enhanced the mood and really set a scene for Yozora's chefs to tell some stories. And that, they do really well. We started out with seasonal tempura and miso masu ceviche--ocean trout marinated in miso, soy, and lime juice--that was sublime. But funnily enough, the real star small plate was a truffle creamy miso soup that was earthy and slightly sweet at the same time and was silky in texture. From there, we ordered a series of crudo and battera, each unique in its own way. It was wonderful stuff, accompanied by a rice lager. The kitchen at Yozora is not shy about experimenting with non-traditional flavors and ingredients. Sometimes it works really well; sometimes, not as well, but it's never bad, and the servers actually ask for feedback for the kitchen, which is something I rarely see. Yozora honestly seems to be most concerned with creating a great dining experience, and it does that, from the chefs to the line cooks to the servers (who are helpful and attentive without hovering). The music, the mood, and the menu add up to a memorable experience.

Menu prices haven't changed much, still excellent quality at a value reasonable prices. Restaurant staff still friendly and courteous, strive for good customer service. My sister raves about the Ceviche here, so I definitely need to try it soon and also explore more of the various selections on the menu. Thank you Lighthouse Seafood for continuing providing great dining experiences!
