OK, I have to be honest, we came here because we had a gift card! But I have to admit, I like that much more than I imagined I would. My wife and I both had steaks that we were very pleased with, in particular the bone in ribeye, which was very tender and very tasty, although I will admit that I asked for some additional rub to spice it up a little bit more as I was eating it. The sides and the dessert were good, but not great. The molten lava cake pretty much tasted like a hostess cupcake with chocolate syrup and ice cream on it. Not a bad combination of flavors by any means, but not really what we expected. We celebrated a big anniversary with the whole fam damily, probably 15 of us. There were lots of other families there as well. Lots of servers, but probably the most inefficient service possible. One hour after our reservation we placed our food order. There were two different servers and half the table got their food 5-10" before the other half, for salads and entrees. An hour after we ate we were finally able to get the check so we could pay, no pay at the table option, had to wait. Ugh, the food was good, and the servers very friendly, but that was painful. Ordered the burger and the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich on the lunch menu at Longhorn Steakhouse. The 8 oz burger with choice of cheese came with lettuce, tomato, pickles on the side and a baked sweet potato with small container of butter, cinnamon and sugar. The huge fried chicken fillet on a toasted bun, served with lettuce, tomato, onion and ranch dressing on the side was great! I selected the loaded baked potato for the side but next time I'd like to try the bowl of chowder. Add a Caesar salad and garden salad for only $1.99 more. The tiny chopped tomatoes and chopped cucumbers in the garden salad are weird. I saw a Facebook reel of someone bragging about a cheap lunch ....kids sirloin steak, loaded baked potato and drink for $11.49. Not sure I can return because of the service. I went with a party to LongHorn earlier last week and had a pretty mixed experience. When we were seated and ordering drinks, our server decided to inform us that he was very hungover and was supposed to be there at eleven that morning but had only just arrived. It was seven in the evening. When he came over with bread for the table and to take our orders as well, he placed the bread on an empty booth behind us and forgot it there until we realized it was for us around the same time he was returning with our drink refills. We had to point it out to him. It took forever for half of us to get our drinks, and we waited for over an hour for our meal despite the slow evening. He was not rude by any means, he just over shared and was really spacey when it came to service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bright side is that the restaurant itself was clean, including the bathrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food, however, was subpar. Everything was exceptionally oily. We started off with the Wild West Shrimp and they were literally glistening in the dim lighting with oil and the crunchy batter slipped off of a lot of the shrimp because of it. I had a bite to be polite and used the ranch it came with to help mask said oiliness. It didn't help; it just added ranch to the oily flavor. The batter, if it managed to hang in there, was soggy and made the shrimp taste like cheap popcorn shrimp. It came with lemon wedges to enhance the taste, but we did not use them at the risk of drowning the appetizer. My Redrock Grilled Shrimp was also very oily, and I ended up only eating one of the three skewers. The bed of rice it was served on was bland at best and was turned orange by the excess grease on the shrimp. The shrimp themselves were of good size and were satisfyingly plump, but the seasoning and char were once again drowned out by the oil. What's more, it came with a little dipping sauce ramekin of even MORE olive oil. Since we were celebrating a birthday, the birthday guest received a massive martini glass filled to the brim with vanilla bean ice cream and whipped cream. It was equal parts ice cream to topping, but it was still pretty good. If it wasn't for the cupcakes our server allowed us to bring in and the ice cream, I most definitely would have left hungry. The oil did not sit well with me in the slightest, so I chose to leave on a sugar rush instead. If you can stomach more oily foods, then you may have a more pleasant meal here than I did. Still, even if the food turned out to be satisfactory, it was a little uncomfortable to be forced into a conversation by our server about him admittedly getting drunk prior to driving himself to work more than once. When I came into the restaurant, there was no one to greet me at all. I was just placing a to-go order, so I went to the bar and sat down. I waited about five minutes without anyone acknowledging me, even though I could see the bartender off to the side on his phone the entire time. When he finally came over, I placed my order immediately. I ordered spicy chicken bites and a salad--something I get pretty often and know usually takes less than 10 minutes. This time, however, it took almost 30 minutes, and the restaurant wasn't even busy. Waiting 30 minutes for essentially an appetizer and a side salad is ridiculous. I was honestly close to asking for my order to be canceled and refunded. It seemed like the bartender noticed I was getting frustrated and only then went to have my order sped up. They always serve a properly cooked-to-order steak, and the prices are what I would call "reasonable" (a lot of quality steak houses are very pricey in my opinion, and the steak quality really isn't that much different). *LongHorn Steakhouse's Veterans Day "Offer" - Misleading, Disrespectful, and Deeply Disappointing* I'm writing this review as a veteran who went to LongHorn Steakhouse on Veterans Day expecting to be appreciated--not humiliated. From the moment we were seated, we informed our server that both of us were veterans there for the Veterans Day special. We were told the offer included either a free appetizer or dessert, plus 10% off the rest of the meal. Sounds simple enough, right? After choosing our appetizers, our server returned to "clarify" that she was mistaken--that the promotion was only **one appetizer per table**, even though both of us are veterans and had made that clear from the start. When I expressed that I didn't feel I should have to "share" my recognition with another veteran, I chose to move to a separate table. The manager, to his credit, allowed it, but his words said it all: *"I don't make the rules, I just enforce them."* That should've been the end of the nonsense--but it wasn't. When the appetizers arrived, the manager came back yet again, now claiming that we needed to order **an entrée** in order to receive the free appetizer--something that was **never mentioned** by anyone during our entire visit. At this point, the whole experience felt less like an act of appreciation and more like being strung along with fine print and changing rules. I can't express how insulting and disappointing this was. Veterans Day should be about gratitude and respect--not confusion, embarrassment, and nickel-and-diming those who served. Olive Garden, Texas Roadhouse, and many other restaurants manage to treat veterans with genuine appreciation and transparency. On 12 Jun 2026, at approximately 0400 pm, my wife and I entered your restaurant and was not immediately met with a host or hostess - the area was vacant. When one finally appeared, greeted us and took my name and phone number, and stated that it would be an approximatel10-minute wait. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were numerous empty and clean tables, however we assumed that since we were a little early that staffing was short.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ahead of us was a family of five, us, (couple #1) another couple, (#2), and one other couple, (#3). The family was called, and then the host called the other three names in succession, however couple # 2 was seated ahead of us in the front area of the restaurant, we were next and seated in the last booth (seating for 4, 2-people booths were open and clean) in the rear of the restaurant, and we were the only people seated in that area. Couple #3 was seated elsewhere. We waited about five minutes and then had to beckon a waiter over to inquire about our waiter/waitress. He came over and said that he would check, and upon his return he apologized and stated that no one was assigned to our table, but that he would take care of us. He took our order, one of the menus were out of date - still showed Lamb Chops. We also requested to see a manager. The manager came over, and we explained why we were offended. An apology and a free dessert was offered, and we declined. We only asked to be moved to a 2-person booth, which she immediately did. After we had moved the manager again came over and offered to "compt" our meals, which we flatly refused. The manager then stated that it would make her feel better if we allowed the meals to be "compted", again we said no. However, four $10 coupons were left on the table, and we kept those. We have been dining there for more than ten years, and this is the first time we have complained about anything. We have been seated in the back area before, but usually because there is a crowd there, and seated in the middle booths area as well. This should not have been about making management feel better, it should be about training your Host/Hostess to have empathy, fore though, and treat each guess with dignity and professionalism. They are the first to interact with your customers and should be professional when dealing with people (no matter what you think about them) who are spending their hard-earned money and hoping to have an enjoyable outing. Longhorn steakhouse is typically one of my favorite restaurants but unfortunately, my time at this location was not the best. I went to celebrate Veterans Day, it took about an hour for my food to come out. Keep in mind, it was not busy when the food came out the steak and sides were cold when I shared my concern to the waiter, he unfortunately laughed and didn't really seem like he knew what he was doing. Thankfully, the manager was kind enough to take this meal off my tab. I do still recommend longhorns, but I will most likely not come back to this location. We ordered brussels sprouts macaroni and mashed potatoes. The brussels sprouts were cold and the macaroni tasted bland to me, but the mashed potatoes were delicious and one of my steaks was cooked perfectly. Came in with my wife for late lunch on Sunday afternoon. Each of us ordered NY Strip steaks, one medium temp, the other medium rare. My wife's medium rare steak arrived to the table at a very medium temp (pink, not rare as she prefers). My steak arrived well done, no discernable pink at all. Our server was apologetic and offered to have the steaks redone. Since my wife's steak was medium, I kept her steak and returned mine and asked that wife's steak be re-done to a medium rare temperature. After some time, the steak arrived as ordered. The manager and our server were attentive and apologized for the errors in preparation. Manager was most courteous and offered to comp both meals since both steaks were not cooked to order. While our dining experience wasn't ideal; I ate alone while my had to wait for the re-do of her steak, the management and staff went out of their way to make the situation right and we are grateful for their efforts. My last night in San Antonio, and I will remember it for all the wrong reasons. After picking up my laundry from a nearby laundromat, I was debating to myself whether to dine at Saltgrass or LongHorn Steakhouse, both off the 410 loop. I chose LongHorn for dinner that night and Saltgrass for lunch the next day. I came in after 5 PM for an early dinner, thinking that there wouldn't be much of a crowd. I parked my car on the east side of the building, but it turns out the entrance was on the west side. I went up to the hostess, asking if the bar was open seating, and they confirmed it was, giving me permission to dine there. As soon as I took a seat at the near end of the bar, Ashley was there to greet me. I don't know if she was new, had an off day, or something else, but she was definitely not on her A game. Things started out fine when she was answered my several questions, but she never brought out any bread and butter like at the New Braunfels location. When you order a steak entree, you also get a salad and a side. There are signature sides and salads, and if you choose one of those, it's an extra $2.79. Thinking that a signature side/salad would be too much on top of an Outlaw Ribeye, my choice of steak that Friday evening, I settled for a regular side and salad. Which ones did I pick? I chose the Baked Potato and the Mixed Greens Salad. The salad came out within 5 minutes, but both the Baked Potato and the Outlaw Ribeye took 30 minutes to come out! I hardly saw Ashley during my visit, so I didn't get a chance to ask her how much longer it would take. 20 minutes into my wait, a male server saw me waiting there and offered to help. I simply said I was still waiting for my order, and he went to go check on it. He came back a couple minutes later to tell me they were about to put the finishing touches on; they were just having delays in the kitchen because there was a party of 20 on the far end of the restaurant, which I didn't see at all. It took 7 more minutes before a different server came out from the kitchen to hand me the Outlaw Ribeye and Baked Potato. I usually do steaks Medium Well, but I think the Outlaw Ribeye was more Medium than Medium Well. Did the kitchen take my steak off the grill too early so they could try to finish the other 20 orders in that large party? Kind of felt that way to me. Don't get me wrong, the steak still tasted fine, but when I asked Ashley to describe the difference between the Outlaw Ribeye and LongHorn Steak, she mentioned the LongHorn Steak was more lean whereas the Outlaw Ribeye had more fat. I chose the fattier option, but I didn't think there was that much fat in the ribeye. The steak was also a little burnt in some places, so that was a little disappointing, though it wasn't that bad. The baked potato wasn't bad, but I thought it could have been more loaded, if that makes sense. The potato was quite small, and the toppings weren't much. I was already starting to get in a bad mood having waited for so long for a meal that could have been way better any other time and/or any other day. The skin of the baked potato was pretty nice, at least. I finished the steak and needed to wait to get Ashley's attention from the opposite side of the bar. It took her a few more minutes before she saw me and got me my check. I tried to pay via card, but she had a difficult time to process it*. She asked if I had another form of payment. I didn't have enough cash on me, so I told her to keep trying. Once she finally got the payment to go through, she handed me my receipt and said, "Thank you so much have a great night" so fast that I could tell she wanted to shoo me away and get on with her shift attending to the other (more VIP?) customers. I stood there in disbelief that I got treated like a nobody. I still left her a tip though, but would highly recommend some additional training at servicing the customer. Right as I was about to leave, I saw the aforementioned male server on the other side of the bar walking towards me, and I called him over to get his name: Freddie/Freddy. He made a much more lasting impression on me than Ashley did that I wish he were my server instead. My last dinner in San Antonio was such a disappointment that I ended up having to get a second dinner somewhere else. That says a lot if I spent that much on a 20 oz steak and still wanted more. Highly doubt I'll return to any LongHorn after this visit. * My card kept declining after my visit to LongHorn, even at my second dinner that evening. After returning home, I gave the credit card company a call to find out why my card kept declining. The agent over the phone told me my chip had locked up as well as the time and location it happened. The location was actually listed as Park North, the shopping center where this LongHorn Steakhouse is located in, and the timestamp on my receipt affirmed this as the culprit of my card declining for the remainder of my trip. read more

Manager looked at the steaks and confirmed that they consider the steaks that looked like they were cooked medium rare to be medium well. Went to the long horn steakhouse on zarzamora and worst experience ever we had a waitress named Lisa we got 2 outlaw steaks she only offered us 1 side when we asked to confirm she said yes it's only one side when it's actually 2 instead she charged us baked potatoes she asked us if we needed anything else when she gave the food we said yes refills and ranch she never returned we had to wing down another waiter to bring us our stuff. She then brings the receipt After we did not see her for a while and she didn't come to the table she made a face when we left her the tip she deserved $5 she's lucky we even tipped the service was horrible the plates looked ridiculous and plain with 1 side. She then circled the suggested gratuity like what ?? You were horrible at your job we are all about tipping good when the waitress deserves it. Last night we had 17 people in our party at the LongHorn Steakhouse in Live Oak. Kenna was our server and I have to say she was beyond excellent. Not one order was wrong, everyone was served at the same time, drinks were refilled right away and she was charming! For the restaurant, the food was excellent. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. We got seated very quickly. Which was great. The restaurant, from what I could see around me, was clean. I ordered the renegade sirloin 6oz with fried Okra and loaded baked potato. I had a sweet tea which wasn't too sweet. The drink was 3.25, and my renegade sirloin was 14.45. My steak was medium well, which was perfection to me, and I can't complain about the side items either. I finally got to order The Longhorn! 22oz porterhouse! I asked for it medium, the sirloin part came out more medium well and the strip side came out in between medium to medium rare. It worked out perfectly for us. I love medium rare and my wife will avoid medium rare as much as possible. Steak had great flavor.
