revisited Saturday 8/1/26 @235p N Star Mall location is great. Plenty of parking, interior seating always available without waiting. Dining room is clean with a delightful Cowboy character atmosphere. (The other day stopped by too but sat at the bar which won't likely do again as the service isn't as expected them forgetting table silverware, no loaf of bread ect.. Recommend tables as the servers generally much more attentive.) Got the 9oz filet & with lobster tail which both were absolutely delicious!! The lobster was unexpectedly delicious. Salad & loaf a wheat bread was good n fresh. The seasoned French fries are always hot n delicious. Darden Restaurants owns both Capital Grille & Longhorn Steakhouse. In my opinion Longhorn is just as good especially with their fire grilled quality meats. Highly recommend Longhorn & will be revisiting often!! Thank you Darden for offering a high quality value friendly steakhouse. hope to see some crab legs on the seafood menu someday? Carry on bravely..

Not sure I can return because of the service. I went with a party to LongHorn earlier last week and had a pretty mixed experience. When we were seated and ordering drinks, our server decided to inform us that he was very hungover and was supposed to be there at eleven that morning but had only just arrived. It was seven in the evening. When he came over with bread for the table and to take our orders as well, he placed the bread on an empty booth behind us and forgot it there until we realized it was for us around the same time he was returning with our drink refills. We had to point it out to him. It took forever for half of us to get our drinks, and we waited for over an hour for our meal despite the slow evening. He was not rude by any means, he just over shared and was really spacey when it came to service. The bright side is that the restaurant itself was clean, including the bathrooms. The food, however, was subpar. Everything was exceptionally oily. We started off with the Wild West Shrimp and they were literally glistening in the dim lighting with oil and the crunchy batter slipped off of a lot of the shrimp because of it. I had a bite to be polite and used the ranch it came with to help mask said oiliness. It didn't help; it just added ranch to the oily flavor. The batter, if it managed to hang in there, was soggy and made the shrimp taste like cheap popcorn shrimp. It came with lemon wedges to enhance the taste, but we did not use them at the risk of drowning the appetizer. My Redrock Grilled Shrimp was also very oily, and I ended up only eating one of the three skewers. The bed of rice it was served on was bland at best and was turned orange by the excess grease on the shrimp. The shrimp themselves were of good size and were satisfyingly plump, but the seasoning and char were once again drowned out by the oil. What's more, it came with a little dipping sauce ramekin of even MORE olive oil. Since we were celebrating a birthday, the birthday guest received a massive martini glass filled to the brim with vanilla bean ice cream and whipped cream. It was equal parts ice cream to topping, but it was still pretty good. If it wasn't for the cupcakes our server allowed us to bring in and the ice cream, I most definitely would have left hungry. The oil did not sit well with me in the slightest, so I chose to leave on a sugar rush instead. If you can stomach more oily foods, then you may have a more pleasant meal here than I did. Still, even if the food turned out to be satisfactory, it was a little uncomfortable to be forced into a conversation by our server about him admittedly getting drunk prior to driving himself to work more than once. Drive through their parking lot at your own risk.

Oh my Gosh! I found the perfect steakhouse. The appetizer hot wings were amazing. Tasty and crispy and really good! Talk about their stake and their corn. And the cob, wow, the cook is pepe and caleb is the manager. He's the cook manager awesome, awesome, awesome. I heard pepe works at an olive garden as well. These cooks are so good, they're hiding the recipe and I don't blame them because it's so delicious.I wasn't the only one who talked about how delicious their food was very delicious.Try it out, you guys. It's good !! The bread oh my better then cheese cake factory and much better then Road house. Coming back :) the staff was hopeful, amazing.Delightful atmosphere was really comfortable and good!

Had a great server today he had a great presentation and was very good with the drinks and constantly checked on the table. The food was all correct and came out perfect. No complaints at all.

Longhorn steakhouse is typically one of my favorite restaurants but unfortunately, my time at this location was not the best. I went to celebrate Veterans Day, it took about an hour for my food to come out. Keep in mind, it was not busy when the food came out the steak and sides were cold when I shared my concern to the waiter, he unfortunately laughed and didn't really seem like he knew what he was doing. Thankfully, the manager was kind enough to take this meal off my tab. I do still recommend longhorns, but I will most likely not come back to this location. We ordered brussels sprouts macaroni and mashed potatoes. The brussels sprouts were cold and the macaroni tasted bland to me, but the mashed potatoes were delicious and one of my steaks was cooked perfectly. I also had the queso as an appetizer and that one definitely hit the spot.

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between laid-back Texas charm and a lively River Walk experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. I ordered the three-meat plate with the sausage, second-cut brisket, and smoked turkey, and every bite was outstanding. The brisket was tender and packed with smoky flavor, the sausage had the perfect snap and seasoning, and the smoked turkey was surprisingly juicy and flavorful. The baked beans and mac & cheese were fantastic sides that complemented the barbecue perfectly. To top it all off, I had one of the best mango margaritas I've ever tasted--refreshing, smooth, and the perfect pairing for the meal. And don't even think about skipping the complimentary bread with honey butter. It's warm, fresh, and absolutely to die for. Between the incredible food, excellent service, and unbeatable River Walk atmosphere, The County Line was one of the highlights of our trip to San Antonio. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again and will absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Five stars all the way!

Favorite item was the Alamo huevos rancheros. This was a rare treat to enjoy a dish with brisket, cheese, and salsa without some kind of heartburn afterwards. But this was lighter than expected and tasted amazing! Other dishes we tried: Egg white frittata: very good and a nice touch that it is served in a skillet! Texas waffle: was one of the best waffles either of us has had in a long time Blueberry pancakes: very good. I really enjoyed the stewed blueberry Chilaquiles: this we felt was the only miss. Didn't like that it was prepared with tortilla chips instead of fried tortillas Steak and eggs: ask for extra chimichurri sauce and maybe add some extra salt. Once you do that, this dish is fantastic Avocado toast: this definitely needs smoked salmon or other protein. Otherwise it isn't very substantial. I didn't need extra fat from avocado after the corn cakes since it doesn't add much flavor to the dish. The corn cakes are good and I will order again but not as good as some other cornbread. It came with 2 cakes. One was undercooked and one has a crispy crust. The undercooked one was my favorite. It is more moist with soft in the middle. Tuna Al Pastor has a kick but nothing special. Tres Leches was beautiful. 4/5. I like the fresh fruits to cut down the sweetness. The cake was a bit in the dense side. The icing on top was thick. 3 Stars -- Good for the Zoo Crowd, Not for True Texas BBQ Fans…read moreLet me start by saying my three stars are strictly for the food -- not the location, not the vibe. Augie's is a solid convenience spot if you're spending the day at the Zoo or Brackenridge Park. Think of it as the Texas BBQ equivalent of good food inside Disneyland: it's not great, but for where you are, it'll do the job. As for the BBQ itself... nothing really stands out. The brisket was bland and barely warm, and most of the sides were cold. The place wasn't even busy -- just my table of five and another small group -- so that didn't help justify the temperature or quality issues. The jalapeño cheese sausage was the one bright spot, packing a decent kick and some real flavor. Portions and utensils felt a little stingy -- you'll probably snap a fork trying to dig into anything, and if you ask for extra sauce, expect a tiny salsa-sized cup. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and the setting is great. You get nice views of the driving range and can catch the Brackenridge Park train rolling by, which gives the place a relaxed, local feel. Final Take: Would I recommend this place as a true Texas BBQ destination? Absolutely not -- you'll find better brisket at Buc-ee's or Rudy's. But if you're already at the park or zoo and need something quick and convenient, it's a fine spot to grab a bite and keep your day moving
