First and foremost were the staff that made this night a fun night out - from the hostess to our server Debi M. The hostess was super friendly and engaging with a good sense of humor. Debi was incredible with a friendly and helpful attitude and a rare great sense of friendly humor. She was professional and extremely helpful in assisting us in our menu suggestions. She was unbelievably attentive and made us feel like we were dining in a high end NYC restaurant. Food was terrific and portions were superb and reasonably priced. A true diamond hidden in Londonderry. We will definitely be returning!

It's been almost a month since Lucciano's Cafe hosted their adorable Valentine's Day pop-up booth in Boston and I'm *still* thinking about all the amazing gluten-free treats that I was able to try from there!! I definitely went a little bit overboard and indulged in almost everything they had to offer: -tiramisu: this is my favorite dessert of all-time and I can count on one hand the number of times I've been able to eat this since getting my celiac diagnosis... this was a no-brainer buy for me! It was creamy and decadent and my favorite out of all the treats, truly no notes - 100/10 recommend! thank me later :) -cupcake sampler box: this was $24 and contained 4 different flavors, which I thought was a really great idea to allow people to try multiple flavors without spending as much on their full-sized cake jars. the box contained a funfetti, a red velvet cookies and cream (literally genius since I've never seen anyone else combine these two crowd-favorite flavors), a hostess-fudge-inspired one, and a strawberry shortcake. All the cake textures were amazingly light and fluffy (truly tasted like a gluten-filled!!! batter lol) and I honestly enjoyed the cakes even more than the frostings. Some of the frostings were a little bit overly sweet and buttery for my liking, but they all still paired really well with their actual cakes! My favorite of the box was definitely the strawberry shortcake - it was filled with a delicious jam and I loved how it was topped off with some sort of almost-sour strawberry power which contrasted really well -swiss rolls: this was such a nostalgic treat to buy, but they're definitely dense - one roll lasted me several days! again, the texture of the cake roll was truly amazing and I didn't realize this when I first bought it but I ended up grabbing a box with their peanut-butter cream filled rolls instead of the original! The peanut butter flavor was a little bit light imo. The outer chocolate shell was also quite hard and when I shared the rolls with my friends, they weren't the biggest fan of just how hard the shell was, but I personally didn't mind it at all! -last but not least, I also got their seasonal heart cakes to sample. this was my second favorite out of my huge haul - their vanilla cake was so sweet and light and you could literally see the darker vanilla bean speckled throughout the batter, which just highlights the quality of the ingredients that they use to make their pastries. The cream in between was perfectly balanced and the overall frosting decoration was beyond perfect for Valentine's Day I literally went to this pop-up twice within the week that they were open and they were so kind to give me a free cookie during my re-visit, which like everything else, was super tasty and honestly I felt like the thick layer of frosting on top was a bit unnecessary because the actual cookie was chewy and perfectly chocolate-y and indulgent all on its own. Needless to say, I am a huge, huge, huge!!! fan of Lucciano's baked goods and I'm so sad that their pop-up was temporary but beyond grateful I was able to try their treats in person.

I hate to have to update and downgrade my review, but I won't be back. Excellent food, excellent gf options, poor customer service. I was delighted to find Luccianos last year and had several positive experiences. However, I won't be back after my last visit. I have many allergies and was understanding from prior engagement that the chicken parm was OK for me. During my last visit, I was told they are cooked in the same fryer as some allergens. I asked if they could pan fry it and was told no. I asked the waitress other questions she had to go back to the kitchen about. I thought someone from the kitchen may come speak with me, but they didn't. I also didn't get answers to the questions I asked. I easily get overwhelmed and emotional about food accommodations, especially when I thought I had already done my research and it doesn't work out. I ordered something I knew was safe and figured I'd try to reach out to the restaurant later to understand what was safe for me. My father got chicken Marsala and substituted bolognese sauce. He loved his meal, but was challenged by the amount of water in the sauce and a $6.95 up charge for the substituted sauce that he wasn't consulted about. My mother got a fish sandwich and thought it was awful. It looked like a tiny, frozen filet o fish served on a giant bun. I did feel bad for her. A few weeks later she told me about the negative email she sent to the owners about our experience. She did not get a response. From her description, I felt like her email detailed a harsher experience than we faced so I wrote one from my perspective. Mainly, I wanted to be able to know what I could eat long-term. Tina, the owner, never actually made any comments about the negative experience but told me she would call me that Tuesday (1/9) to discuss allergies. She did not call. I followed up 1/22 and 2/14 without response. 2/25 I replied to note that it shouldn't take this much effort to understand what is safe to eat and wished the business luck. She immediately replied to tell me that I could reach out to her that Thursday or Friday to discuss (5-7 days later). No one should have to put so much effort into feeling safe about their meal. It's sad because I really loved the food.

Incredible meal. So much flavor in this dish. Makes you feel like you're eating out in Boston. The value here is insane. 22 bucks for a massive swordfish filet over fresh and delicious veggies. The sauce is perfect.

Had a good lunch visit with my mom yesterday. The greek salad here is very good with tons of feta. This greek salad blows Amphora out of the water. No Pepperoncinis was a surprise. The place was a ghost town with a few other people seated at the bar. The pizza was good but and larger than i remember from the previous location. I actually liked the house special pizza but remember the old luccianos location having a better pie. Overall id return again and my bartender was pleasant. Salads shrunk sadly. Def not the biggest in the state anymore.

This NJ family traveled to NH and had a delicious Italian dinner at Lucciano's! Living in NJ, we're spoiled by the number of amazing Italian restaurants, but this place held it's own. The ambience is really nice here and our server was excellent. She had a great sense of humor and made sure our group of 8 had everything we needed. To start off, I had a glass of Chianti. The bread served with plates of oil was spot on. I had a real craving for chicken parmigiana and needed a nice red sauce to go with the wine. My dinner was great and I believe most others enjoyed theirs as well. While we didn't partake in desserts, the gluten free specialties in the front display case looked so good. Maybe next time!

Server Debi M was awesome: friendly, personable and great at service. The Insalata Caprese was very fresh. My wife had pasta and meatballs (homemade ) & loved it. My Frutti de Mare was loaded with/ seafood and very tasty. Took a couple desserts home & frosted cookie was the bomb.

Went to Luciano's. Haven't been there since they were in their last location years ago. That wasn't an earth-shattering experience then, but after all these years I thought I would give them another try. It was a weekday night, so there weren't many people in there. When I walked in, I noticed very nice interior, tables, silverware, etc. What I didn't notice was that great smell of Italian cooking. We asked for a booth. They said they did have booths, but they turned out to be a booth on one side and chairs on the other and there was another table right next to it, so not the kind of thing I had in mind. Our waitress came over and got our drink order. She came back over shortly after to get our meal order. I ordered Chicken Piccata and my husband...you guessed it Chicken Parmesan. We were served bread and oil. The bread seemed too perfect to be home made but was certainly OK. The oil...just tasted like oil. Our dinners came. Both dinners were NOT very hot. You could tell by the shredded cheese sprinkled on top of both enrtee's that never melted. Same with the pasta that was in a separate dish. My ziti was not cooked enough either and my husbands was most definitely not cooked enough as well. The chicken in my Piccata was actually mushy. And the cutlets were definitely not just sauteed. The coating was also mushy and not crispy as one would be if it was just taken out of the pan. My pasta has piccata sauce on it even though it was in a separate dish....My husband liked his first bite of the first cutlet but said the second was VERY tough. He said his pasta was pretty raw and the sauce is basically tomatoes so it didn't stick to the pasta and had no flavor whatsoever. And....most importantly for him the cutlets did not have a crispy coating and his meal was cold. Now I know why there was no Italian food smells. I certainly suspect the chicken in the meals was preprepared way ahead of time....If it was freshly cooked the coating would have been hot and crispy. Needless to say, what went back to the kitchen for me was 1 chicken cutlet and the pasta. Hubby one cutlet and his pasta. I wanted to try it. You never know how a restaurant is unless you try it. For us, we tried it, but would never return again. Nothing special, especially with Pasquale's basically across the street that is excellent.

Did take out this time and I was less than thrilled with our food. Definitely not as good as it has been in the past. 3 meals $75 and the butternut squash ravioli was extremely basic and we got 8 ravioli. Marsala didn't have any flavor at all. I've never had to add so much of my own seasoning just to get some flavor to it. We ordered early so it seems we got yesterday's bread. read more

Delicious. Service was amazing. Our waitress was fantastic. Their desserts are extravagant! Their pizzas looked great. The Bruschetta was killer. They serve bread and it was delicious. They have a big gluten free menu and we were super impressed with their food. Chicken fettuccine was good. Spinach raviolis were delicious in the tomato cream sauce. read more

First time we went to Luciano's was six years ago when they were in a very small space, at The time food was great and service was great, the decor was dated but nonetheless it was a good experience. We went to their new location for the first time yesterday 1/2022 since they have opened . We weren't pleased, upon entering we stood there for a good five minutes while the hostess caught up in the system as she put it with sit downs before us. We were finally seated, we requested to be moved because it was a very drafty area and therefore cold, we were moved no problem. Service was subpar no water was brought to table until I asked. We started off with the mussel's in white garlic sauce, it was definitely not the usual sauce that we are use to when ordering mussels, it was more of a cream of chicken thick no flavor of garlic and some shells had no mussels in it. For dinner I asked if they could make a shrimp Fra diablo since it's not on menu ,sure she said. Husband ordered veal parm. Fra diablo sauce or gravy as some call it was soupy it was shrimps in a Fra diablo soup did not stick to linguine at all. Husband said his veal was ok. Let's talk decor. The decor is bland , typical "Italian " posters that were framed throughout restaurant. No white linen's besides napkins. It would have been nice if they put some pictures of Italy since they are an Italian restaurant instead of cheap posters. Needless to say it's not a place that We will be returning to or recommending to any of our friends. read more

I prefer Luciano's for lunch more than dinner. We have had great meals there but also a friend's meal was cold in the middle. I think it was veal parm. We got take out once and my Caesar salad was so heavily dressed I actually couldn't eat it. The ravioli stuffed with eggplant is amazing. The desserts are well worth the visit just for them. Nice space, great looking menu. Martinis are good! I've been a few times. I really want to like it! Made a reservation, had to wait at the bar - and they forgot about us! Go for the basics. The food is OK but not good or great. The staff has to up their game. read more

We love Lucciano's. Never have we ever had a bad experience there. We chose it for our 30th wedding anniversary and, as usual, it was fabulous. To make it even more fabulous the owner, Lou, comped the bottle of Chianti we ordered. The bartender, Lindsey, is always fun to have as our server. Great service and conversations. All of the bar staff we've ever had there were wonderful as well as the food. I just read one review that said the bread was too perfect to be homemade?!? This is the ONLY restaurant where we eat the bread because it is that good. Lucciano's will always be our 'go to' Italian restaurant. read more

Last time we were here was 9 years ago, now I remember why... Went sat night at 6:15, waited 5 min to sit, then 15 min for drinks ( no bartender?). Dinner took so long we asked for to go boxes with our check as soon as we were served. Speaking of service, our server was very nice and mildly apologetic. As for the food, chicken parm was very good although sauce was watery and very sweet. Salad with steak was not great. Salad part was fine but steak was cold and didn't taste fresh cooked which one would expect for $18. Bread was not good, like fresh white bread - 1 pc each. I asked to swap pasta for veg and found we got $4 up charge. I told the server that she should have told me, and she said it was the chefs decision. Seing the veggies were awful (think canned tomato and frozen broccoli), I told them to take them off the check. Overall a disappointment. read more

Not bad, but not great. Got the chicken parm and the chicken was tough and chewy. Saw a couple other reviews which mentioned the same thing. Sauce is decent. It's just average Italian food. Better options in the area. read more

I went there this evening. I ordered swordfish, perhaps not the best choice at an Italian restaurant. It was horrible. It had absolutely no flavor and looked like it had been frozen previously. The meal came with vegetables that had been sautéed. I have never used a salt shaker so much and still ended up leaving at least half of my meal. The Coke in my Myers Rum and Coke was flat. Two people ordered deserts to share. They were not as bad as the entrees, but nothing to write home about. It cost me $67 (with tip) for just me to have a really poor meal. I am so disappointed. Never again! read more

We went there Thursday night, Our first time there. As their website says "anything but ordinary" so true! The place is nice, they did a good job inside. but the food not so much. We ordered three apps, Calamari, it was ok, not flavor and allot of batter. Zucchini Sticks where good but not made fresh they seemed frozen and too many breadcrumbs, Mozzarella Sticks where ok, most everyplace buys them frozen. So, I would not recommend any of those apps, very disappointed for an Italian Restaurant. I ordered the Chicken and Eggplant with a side of penne pasta, our server did not recommend it, but I still ordered it as it's my go to. The Penne was cold, all they did is place hot tomato sauce on top of it, you would've thought they would heat up the pasta, I know it's all precooked. The Eggplant came out of a box, it was frozen, no taste and too much breading. It reminded of the Eggplant I have used from Sysco. The chicken was chewy and did not taste good. It was covered with too much Sause and Cheese. I would not recommend ordering this. The other dinner plates came out the same, I did not try any of them, But the side of penne was served same as mine was and the Chicken was chewy, and the seafood did not taste fresh. I would not recommend Lucciano's Cafe. I guess this is what you get at an Italian Restaurant that is owned by a Greek family. read more

Not sure if it's fair to leave a review without eating there but we had a very odd & awkward visit. We walked in and two waitresses smiled and said the hostess will be right over to seat you. Then the hostess appeared with a clipboard and asks if the two of us have a reservation. We said no. Didn't know you needed one. She said, "sorry, we're full with reservations tonight". Ok, first, the dining room (in plain sight) was 1/2 empty and second, it was 5:00 pm. The bar was 1/2 empty as well. I don't think we'd try and go back. I really felt like it was a club & I wasn't a member. The hostess was quite condescending. Ciao. read more

I love Luciano's!!! I started going there when i moved to the area. It is by far the best Italian food I have ever had. Lou the owner cooks every meal himself. Every meal comes with fresh home made bread that is made fresh every day. It comes with home made olive oil sauce that has spices in it. I never have liked olive oil until trying this place. The staff is extremely friendly especially the male waiter Jason. Ask for him as he is extremely attentive and has made all my visits unforgettable. read more

My wife and I were drawn in by a referral from a neighborhood friend and the 'Outdoor Seating' sign on a beautiful summer evening in July, but the outdoor seating section was closed. Bummer. The good: The hostess and wait staff were friendly, the music was nice (although it was a bit awkward with the guy playing his guitar right when you walk in the entryway), and the huge portions of food were tasty. The bad: The food took what felt like an eternity to come out, and the interior and exterior entryway really needs a face lift and some TLC. Outside there were huge weeds everywhere in the entry way garden and the awning was bent and rusted. Inside the outdated faux granite/marble wallpaper on the walls inside was bubbling up from rusted water damage in Styrofoam ceiling tiles above us. Nothing some gardening gloves, a few bags of mulch, a few new ceiling tiles and a fresh coat of paint throughout the place can't fix - they just need to invest a bit of time and $ to do so. read more

Lets face it...you cannot keep everyone happy.I read through most of these reviews and I am shaking my head.There are obviously a lot of people out there who either have nothing better to do than bitch about every fukn thing in life, or they are so ugly they havn't had the high hard one in a long time....with that said..... I live about 3 miles from this place and it is and was by far the best fukn Italian food i have had in my life...and I am italian and not young..try the Chicken Parm,meatballs,Lasagna...all outstanding....5 big stars and will recommend to all...I dont know anyone from that place...this is just the truth... read more

Haven't been here in a long time. Calamari was very good, spicy marinara sauce was a surprise, hot sauce. Entre was not What it used to be. I always ordered the same dish when I go there, frutti de mare, I as for fra diavolo and it came out spicy. There's no sign of pepper flakes or any sort of pepper on the plate. Pasta was over cooked and tasted like canned pasta. Needless to say, I had to spend the next couple of days closed to home. read more

We were regulars at their old location and looked forward to a nice lunch. Despite the restaurant being only half full, we were told there would be a 20 minute wait. I asked about the empty tables, all set and ready to go, and got the stink eye from the less than charming hostess. There is no waiting area so stood at the entrance and we got tired of having to move every time someone left so after a few minutes we left too. The chef came out to mingle and his jacket was so filthy we couldn't imagine eating anything he cooked so that sealed the deal for us. read more

I did a togo order from Lucciano's not expecting much. I ordered the Lobster Ravoli with Alfredo sauce instead of mariana and ordered a kid's chicken alfredo with penne pasta. Honestly, the best pasta I have ever tried. The food was literally blazing hot, not warm, which I really much enjoyed. The Lobster Ravoli was my favorite as there was a lot of lobster in the pasta. The person taking my order was really nice too! Hopefully I will go again someday when I'm in New Hampshire! read more

My lasagna was cold in the center, sauce on plate was hot, disappointed that the sauce must be microwaved and the lasagna not fresh made, but frozen. First and last visit, very unhappy. read more

I went to dinner with my sister and her husband. This is one of their favorite restaurants . We ordered Fried Calamari for an appetizers. Deep fried and the batter is very light and crispy. The sauce had a little bite. It was very good. Soft Italian bread was also served with an olive oil dipping sauce. Spicy and Garlicy. Also very good. I ordered Chicken Marsala with a side of penne. Also very good however I would recommend less chopped mushrooms and more chunks. I had plenty to take home and it was yummy reheated as well. Desert was chocolate mousse cake. It was on the rich side and it did not stop my sister and I from eating it!! Service was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Excellent experience. read more

We frequented Lucianno's often when we lived close by the former location and were anxious to try their new spot. We tried to have lunch there a few weeks before Christmas and when we walked in we were told they could not seat us until 2:30 as there was a private mercy meal taking place. There was no sign in the window to let us know this before walking in. We were disappointed, but tried it again today. They were closed, with no sign as to what the problem was. Others were outside too, and according to the website, they should have been opened for business (Thursday lunch). I don't know what is going on with the location, or the management, but it is doubtful we will try again. Too bad, because we enjoyed their food in the past. read more

AWFUL! I've tried this place 3x because the service is amazing and the restaurant itself is adorable. But my God, the kitchen is HORRIBLE! I ordered chicken marsala that when came out was SWIMMING in grease, covered in canned mushrooms AND HAD A HAIR IN IT! Sent it back to a sincerely apologetic waiter who brought me out a replacement meal of spaghetti and meatballs (and a comp glass of wine). The dish was marginal. Nothing I could not create at home with a jar of sauce and frozen meatballs ($14 to boot). My husband had butternut squash ravioli that was clearly frozen, waaaaay too much sweet sauce, and barely warm. Seriously, please get a new chef. This restaurant could be a gem with someone that knows how to create simple, homestyle Italian. Until then, never again for this place. read more

Wish I could give less stars. Family ordered $225 worth of food all of it either freezer food or it was stale disgusting defrosted and then refrozen chicken breast turned into tough flavorless mushy chicken parm. Seafood was rotten. So disappointing. The search to find a decent Italian restaurant in the area continues. Redeeming quality they gave fresh hot bread. read more

I have to say I have been taken back by some of the latest reviews of Lucciano's Cafe. I don't feel that they are over priced considering the quality of food you are getting. The staff is very friendly and our waitress Samantha was very pleasant and when I told her I was gluten intolerant she offered me gluten free rolls with oil and I was thrilled. Their gluten free menu is extensive with lots to choose from. I had the Chicken Parm and it was delicious. The restaurant is very clean and they have a beautiful bar. Complimentary music was a plus. This was my third visit and I'm looking forward to returning. read more

So this place measured up to the recommendation. Came here for a late lunch on Saturday. Nice place dated (in a good way) ambiance. Waitress was wonderful, very attentive, knowledgeable. Had the Pasta Florentine w/chicken. It was delicious, cooked perfect, nice and hot when it arrived. Wife had Pasta Bolognese which was a little different than traditional bolognese. There was fuzz in the pasta. It was disappointing but it wasn't a huge deal. Nobody apologized and it was still on the check. Very disappointed also there were many open seats and it took forever to be seated. Not going here again! My opinion is that they should take the gluten free chicken parmesan off the menu. Have been following Lucciano's on Facebook for a couple years, always seeing their delicious drink and dinner posts. Didn't get the chance to go until yesterday. It was worth the wait! They had outdoor dining due to Coronavirus, which I think they should keep! I had two martinis; a PB and J concoction and a lavender lemon drop. Both were amazing. The food was awesome as well. The gluten free menu here is extensive. We ordered the gluten free mozzarella sticks- delicious. I got the gluten free tortellini with shrimp in a garlic white wine sauce. It was the first time I've been able to have tortellini in years. So good. The portion was large too, which isn't usually the case when it comes to gluten free meals. Our waitress, Christina, was awesome. Super friendly and accommodating. She also had high spirits despite having to wear the face mask all night. Thanks for such a great experience. I have seen multiple people suggesting this restaurant on social media so was excited to try it. To say We were disappointed is an understatement. This was the worst Italian food I have had on a long time. The calamari was chewy and flavorless. The seafood linguine was inedible. The "light cream sauce" was clumpy and separated with large pools of oil and large black unidentifiable chunks. The fruit di mare was no better and possibly worse. The seafood was in no way fresh. We visited on a Tuesday around 6 p.m. with a party of four for a birthday. The restaurant wasn't busy, so there really wasn't an obvious reason for what followed. The meal started with bread that was lukewarm, hard, and forgettable, served with oil and what looked like dried minced garlic. Someone in our party tried to order a beer, and the server said they only had two or three of the dozen or so beers listed. Things only got worse from there. I ordered a French 75 and eventually received...something. It arrived after the appetizers, in the wrong glass, over ice, with no champagne and no detectable gin. It tasted like sparkling lemonade. I politely asked for it to be remade and even offered to speak with the bartender if it would help. The replacement never arrived. The calamari came out on sloppy-looking plates, and one order was pale while the other was dark enough to suggest it had been fried in old oil. Neither was particularly hot, and the breading barely stayed attached. The entrees looked just as uninspired as they tasted. The linguini with clam sauce was gray and soupy. The fish came with vegetables that were cooked to death. My eggplant parmesan was buried in bland marinara, and the gnocchi was room temperature, rubbery, and completely flavorless. The marinara itself tasted like watered-down canned tomatoes that had forgotten salt existed. Service was just as disappointing. Water glasses sat empty for most of the meal, our server was nearly impossible to flag down, no one checked on the remade cocktail, and by the time we finally got someone's attention, it was only because the host happened to notice us trying to get the check. We would have considered dessert, but the server disappeared long enough that we gave up. To top it off, the incorrect cocktail was still on the bill, bringing the total to around $250. One final observation: I watched the host reset tables by placing glasses, linens, menus, salt and pepper shakers, and table tents directly on chair seats. They also carried clean drinking glasses by inserting their fingers inside them. The open kitchen visible from the dining room didn't inspire much confidence, either. I've had better meals at chain restaurants for a fraction of the price. For roughly $250, this wasn't just disappointing--it was astonishingly poor. Nothing about this is authentic italian. Nothing about it is worth the price tag. Nothing about it was redeemable.

I have gone several times the owner has seen me. I had the worst experience tonight. The owner didn't care and proceeded to argue with me as the customer. His wife and he are as ignorant as the day is long and they do not care about the customer experience. He acted as if it was my fault that all my meals came out cold and over cooked. I wanted to post after reading how rude someone's last review was. I was actually in the restaurant trying to enjoy a meal with my family that same day that lady was there. She made a scene over her olives and I could hear her across the restaurant. Multiple people had tried to calm her down and she continued to insult the staff and threaten to have the place shut down. I don't blame anyone for sticking up for their family. Her own family came back in to apologize for how awful she was. After such great reviews, I decided to try it for lunch. Yes, the bread was good but the olive oil was bland. I asked for grated cheese and hot pepper to jazz it up and it was much better. The salad with steak was awful; big chunks of fatty steak which were too big for the top of the salad. Yes, I cut them up into bite sized pieces but they were fatty. My companion ordered the gnocchi and we were surprised to see we got charged for the dinner portion. What happened to lunch prices? $50 for lunch with soft drinks? Really? Luccianos has to be the quintessential Italian restaurant. I had a wonderful meal which was amazing. The table had an aptly paired fantastic imported Italian wine.
