[[HIGHLIGHT]]First time trying this barbershop and I think there's not gonna be a second time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Place is good, ample parking outside. Brandon was my barber. I showed a picture of how I want the haircut to be (top photo referenced below), he checked it twice but the final result is far from how it should be. I've been getting this kind of haircut for quite some time but this is way different from how it was done before. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I did tell him that it's kinda boxy but he argued that he thought I want a hard part and said that he can fix it but the shape would be weird.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I just didn't had it fixed but the end result does look weird for me Also, didn't bother to properly brush the hair off my neck and ears as well after the session ‍ Oh well, on my way to a different barber to have this haircut fixed

I liked the haircut but it was hurting quite a lot when the barber worked on the neck, came back home to see what's going on. I have never left a barbershop with a mark like this in 34 years! Another thing was the barber put a lot of gel on my head without asking, I never put gel on my hair! The barber was super courteous and did a great job on the sides.

Positives, they have a very open schedule. After the cut I could tell why. I scheduled an appointment with Gabe and asked for a high/mid fade. During the haircut I asked him to raise my fade multiple times. When he said he was done I thought we were half way there. I told him it looked funky since the front was faded and the back was tapered. He said that he didn't have time to fix it and even if he did he would need to charge me for ANOTHER hair cut. I've been trying out multiple barber shops since I moved to NorCal 2 months ago. This barber has provided me my worst experience so far.

Walking into this barber shop is so different from other ones. Off the bat you're welcomed In with a warm greet and friendly smile from the barbers. The vibes are immaculate. Music is always playing and everyone is just chopping it up. The barbers are really out here trying to build a connection with their clientele. I've been getting cut by the owner (David). My barber of many years left the city so had to find a new one so I came to yelp. noticed lucent was new and decided to give them a shot, it was super easy to book online. no wait at all when I got to the shop straight to the chair. david the barber was friendly, efficient, and skilled. Totally my fault, should have asked the price before the haircut, but $40 for a 10 minutes buzzcut is unbelievable. First and last time here. Lesson learned to ask price even for what should be a cheap buzzcut. read more

Lucent Barbershop has to be one of the most comfortable shops I've ever been in. A barbershop full of talent all around. I personally go with Gabriel, he's very talented. I've searched far and wide for the 'right' barber and I've fortunately stumbled across David (Owner) two (2) years ago at his previous shop. My hair type is straight, stiff and difficult to give shape appearance. After showing pictures and discussing ideas, David like a true artist delivered a stunning haircut. He's patience and understands what the customer wants. There has been times where I change up the style, and again he impresses with the outcome. He's a young, driven professional with outstanding barber skills and customer service oriented. The best part is receiving compliments in the office and wherever I go. They are always very friendly and accommodating for a walk-in appointment. The salon is hygienic and clean. They also have a very nice selection of gel polish colors, especially cateye colors. I recently had an ingrown toenail (my first ever in 33 years) after my latest visit but the owner was quick to help communicate this with the nail tech doing my pedicure so it doesn't happen again. This made me feel very understood and respected as a regular customer here. The owner also tries to remember the regulars at the salon and always offer a warm welcoming, which is very nice of her. They offer a discount for cash payments, but also accept Venmo (even for tips) while credit card has a small charge. I think their prices are very reasonable and definitely cheaper than the last salon I went to before switching to Pedi Nail Lounge. There is a large shared parking lot in front so plenty of parking nearby. I also like that there is a coffee shop (Blvd coffee), food spot (Chispiro's) and Lucky Grocery store right next door that makes the location extremely convenient for me. 5/5 , definitely recommend if you're looking for a new nail salon
