Here's a much shorter, more straightforward version that sounds natural and not "polished": --- I was really excited to come back to Lucia's since it was my childhood pizza spot, but this was a big letdown. Ordered a large veggie and added pepperoni. Was told 25 minutes, picked it up a few minutes early, got home in 4 minutes and the pizza was already hard and tough to chew. I live 3 blocks away. Once I chewed like 4 bites, my jaw actually hurt and my dad couldn't chew it either. It tasted like an old pizza that had been sitting out and reheated with extra toppings. Definitely not fresh. 4 slices we threw away. For $34, this was disappointing. I don't mind paying the price, just make it fresh and right. Please stop cutting corners and serving food like this. Why would take a legacy neighborhood brand and destroy it? Save a morning pie from being trash and instead lost a customer.

Spacious pizzeria, parking is a little tough in the area, but I did see a sign in the front that they have spots in the back. Quick service. The regular size was good, not the best in Queens but good for that area. Large slices, thin crust, needed a little more sauce. The drunken grandma slice looked really good, but was disappointing. The crust was super thick, and there was barely any sauce, I felt like I was eating a piece of bread. Good prices.

So stoked to see Lucia open another location in Bayside. I always dread having to drive to Flushing to buy a pie. What both location's suffer most though no fault of their own is parking. Picking up a pie is a two person job in both locations, the Bayside location does advertise curbside pick up though. I ordered a half pepperoni cheese pizza which had perfectly melted cheese, flavorful tomato sauce and a delicious savory pepperoni. The "undercarriage and flop" of the pie was a little under charred and on the softer side. The crust was a solid 10 for crunchiness and struck the right balance between crispiness and chewiness. On my next order, I'll ask for the pie to be baked well done, hopefully that will improve on the "Flop and undercarriage" Looking forward to trying the other items on the menu soon.

Second visit in the past week. Eggplant Parm with penne with so delicious can't put it in words. Service was excellent, food is very fresh and no rush for service. Place is clean as last time. Very great place to visit to come next time to try different pizzas and foods

Great to see Lucia pizza in Bayside. I've gone to Lucia in Flushing since I was a kid so there's a bit of nostalgia here. Delicious pizza and a solid place as your go to pizza. Slightly bigger than the narrow pizzeria in Flushing. Good service and in a convenient location a few blocks from Bell Blvd on Northern Blvd.

We are very big fans of Lucia in Flushing and was estactic to hear they were opening a new location in Queens. Their new location in Bayside opened to the public yesterday. The new location isn't very large with only three or four tables but interior feels spacious and clean. We ordered a medium regular pie ($14.50) and six garlic knots ($2.95). Everything tasted great and prices were reasonable, specially for this neighborhood. Staff were so nice and they have extended hours of operation (open every day from 10am to 9pm everyday except for Friday and Saturday it's 10am-10pm). So glad they have expanded too this neighborhood.

Pretty good pizza. Friendly and polite staff/service. Very clean inside. Pizza was really.

Margarita pie - definitely my fav. I can definitely taste the fresh garlic.

I can't compare to the Lucia in flushing but this is my go to. 5 stars because the pizza is crispy and they always accommodate any orders. They will make a half white pie along with a sausage pie. Now that's service. And it's soo good

Got 2 large pies with sausage and bacon be with extra cheese for the office with chicken wings. The delivery time was pretty good but idk when we got the pizzas the pies were all fugly and like looked like the guy tilted my pies to one side. And they didn't give any pepper flakes or anything. Wings were fire doe not gonna lie deff recommend the wings.

Best pizza in Bayside period. Quintessential New York City -burn the roof of your mouth good. Ingredients and sauce (which they won't sell) is what you want and what you deserve. Tons of my HS friends grew up having Lucia's in Flushing and now all of us can have the same quality with better parking options in Bayside. Enjoy!

Manager Beatrice is truly a gem -- very attentive, super sweet, and made my family feel so welcome. The atmosphere was warm, family-oriented, and comfortable. The prix fixe menu was excellent from beginning to end. For appetizers, my mom had the burrata with heirloom tomatoes, and my sister and I had Nonna's meatballs, which were delicious. My sister had the rigatoni, my mom had the salmon, and I had the short rib of beef, which melted in my mouth like butter -- that's how tender the meat was. For dessert, I had the cannoli's while my mom and sister enjoyed the chocolate lava cake. Everything was flavorful and beautifully prepared. The bathrooms were also nice and clean, which is always a plus. My family and I will definitely be coming back again -- even if it's just to stop in for a lychee martini and the grilled octopus, one of my favorite meals. Highly recommend for a family dinner, date night, or casual night out

Our server was very pleasant and happened to be the only one working at the time, though with so few guests, it seemed to be all that was needed. We ordered the three-course lunch special. One set included the meatballs to start, followed by the chicken Parmesan and bomboloni for dessert. The other included a Caesar salad, tagliatelle Bolognese, and tiramisu. There was a bit of a longer-than-expected gap between the appetizer and the entrée, especially considering we were essentially the only table being served, as the other guests had already finished their meal. That was a little frustrating. Aside from that, most of the food was solid. The only real disappointment was the chicken Parmesan, which was quite overcooked. It was unfortunate given that the kitchen was only cooking for the two of us. That said, the mashed potatoes, an unusual pairing with chicken Parmesan were excellent: perfectly creamy and incredibly smooth. The tiramisu was also quite good, but the real standout was the bomboloni. I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed them, since fried doughnuts wouldn't normally be my first choice for dessert. I would definitely return.

Mekayla, who had recently started working there, was our waitress, and she is delightfully bubbly and energetic, making our entire experience there that much more fun. We started with drinks (good wine and mixed drinks), then the warm goat cheese and beet salad, drizzled with a sweet balsamic dressing - wonderful! For main entrees, we had the chicken paillard (very tender grilled chicken over a bed of risotto) ), chicken scarpariello (with medallions of chicken and sausage, potatoes, peppers in a delicious garlic sauce), and pollo e penne (grilled chicken with broccoli rabe in roasted garlic sauce). All three were excellent, and paved the way for a very tasty tiramisu (with lady fingers along the rim as well as soaked with espresso) and Cloud Nine coffee (coffee with Bailey's, Amaretto & whipped cream - a delight!) We are only sorry that we waited so long to eat there! We're definitely returning to try more items on the menu! If you add the garlic olive oil (from the bread basket) onto your pizza, it adds a great flavor! For my main dish, I got a penne alla vodka with shrimp. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Vodka sauce was incredibly delicious, shrimp were plump and well cooked (tasted fresh, not frozen) - which is hard to find in most restaurants. I told everyone about it, that it was some of the best pizza in New York. I gave them so many chances. Last night was the final straw. Made a reservation for Friday night at 8PM. We arrived at 8:05. The waitress who's basically always there, who sounds like she smokes about a pack a day, was the only waitress there that night. I felt for her, but also, not my problem. We didn't receive water or a full set of utensils and menu until about 8:15. At about 8:25, she took our order, and we ordered a few apps and calzone and pizza. I had to ask for my coke about 4 times until she remembered to bring it. Water was NEVER refilled. We were never asked if we were ok. Around 8:50, we finally received our apps. It was ok, they've made it better in the past. Ambiance was starting to die down as the restaurant was clearing out. We felt a bit bad for her, but also, this wasn't our fault, that they were unprepared for a Friday night rush (her words). By 9:15, we were furious and our moods were ruined. We sat down at 8:05, ordered before 8:30, we were the only ones left and our pizza and calzone were yet to be found. Shortly before 9:30, it arrived. And again, it was pretty good, but not wait over an hour for it good. I wanted this place to succeed. The pizza maker from Italy deserves a better crew. The waitress doesn't know how to be a waitress, at all. No apologies, not taking anything off the check, not checking on us. There's no busboy, no one dedicated to take out, no manager. It seems that everyone plays each others roles, and quite poorly. They've lost a loyal customer tonight. We will NEVER give this place another try.

Alessandro was wonderful and worked so hard to accommodate us all by himself. We decided to keep it simple and order a bunch of pizzas to share as well as a family style salad. Pizza was served one type at a time, it felt like a pizza tasting menu and I loved every second of it. We started off the the Margherita, which was simple and delicious. His dough is perfectly springy and light, but also has great flavor as does the sauce. Prosciutto Pie included mozzarella, arugula, prosciutto and shaved Parmigiano cheese. Another delicious version, you can feel the high quality of the ingredients with this one. Salsiccia Pie used a spicy soppressata, tomato sauce and mozzarella. It's hard to believe but each "course" seemed to be better than the last. Svetonio Pie has meatballs, tomato sauce, ricotta, crispy pancetta, kalamata olives and basil. This was the most complex pie in terms of flavors, but they all worked so well together. The Arugula Salad with cherry tomato red onion, mozzarella cubes was the perfect acidic accompaniment to the pizzas. The restaurant itself is small and rustic, but it felt so homey and made for a perfect spot for our little celebration. Everyone agreed the pizza was excellent all around. I can't wait to return to try more of the menu.
