Famous Buttermilk Biscuits smothered in Chef Mickeys Sausage Gravy
    Rick K.

The biscuits and gravy are to die for. The biscuit is fluffy but has heft and tons of flavor. The gravy is better than any other gravy I know. I think about it regularly. We also enjoyed the beignets that have great consistency with just the right amount of crisp and doughy proportions and covered in an obscene amount of powdered sugar. Service was good and I got the New Orleans charm from the decor. All in all, A+ ya'll!!

Come here for the beignets, stay for the vibes. I didn't know what to expect, but Lucile's was definitely a restaurant that transports you to the south. We loved the spacious feeling, the cottage home decor, and the friendly service. It's tucked behind the main road so I never knew this place was back there. We HAD to start with coffee and beignets. They were hot, crispy, fluffy, and far from anything you'll find at Disneyland (in the best way possible). The best compliment - they weren't too sweet. The perfect balance of fried goodness and powdered sugar. And if you need an extra punch, they have a stewed apple jam on the table for your liking. I tried their Cajun Breakfast and it was a great dish to gobble up their homemade hot sauce. The only "but" I have is that the breakfast was quite plain in flavor. You needed to add the hot sauce. You should come for the beignets, maybe try a specialty coffee or cocktail.

Came for breakfast because since I have been living here in Colorado I have been wanting to go. Finally the day has come! The place give you a vibe like you are in another century because the house takes you there. The service it's friendly. The place is pretty big and cozy. What surprised me the most was the coffee to be honest. It was strong and delicious. My partner had the French toast, sausage and egg plate and I went to adventure with the creamy spinach egg Benedict and I had to say it wasn't my favorite. That's my fault for going for something new hahaha. I just didn't like the creamy spinach. Was too much for me. I want to go back because I don't want to judge this place because of my mistake of making wrong selection. I tried the French toasts and it was really good and the hot chocolate was on point.

It had been much too long since I had been here for a lovely brunch. The dining area is very welcoming and comfortable, the servers are attentive, and the beignets are warm, fluffy, and covered in powdered sugar. They do get very busy and don't take reservations, but they have a good sized waiting area inside.

Confession! I have lived within 10 minutes of this restaurant for over a decade and I've never tried it before because 1) it looked from the outside a little old fashioned 2) I wasn't sure I liked creole food. We walked here this morning - there's trail access from the river. Got here at 9am and had no wait, our server and the host who I think is also the manager were lovely. The food! We had to order the beignets, they were thick and warm. The biscuits and gravy were slightly spicy and the biscuit was fantastic. Light and fluffy. The pancakes were top notch, fluffy and flavorful. The pecan praline syrup was a delicious surprise. Lastly the breakfast beer was a perfect morning cocktail.

We love to go to Lucile's when we are going through Denver. We usually have a large group around brunch time and we can easily get a seat. The food is delicious and we don't have to wait long . The staff was friendly and efficient. Their beignets were also delicious.

My son and I had breakfast at Lucille's the other day. I haven't been to a Lucille's in years, and never to this location. This location is a lot bigger than the one off Alameda but still has lots of Nee Orleans/Mardi Gras decorations. Because we went mid-morning during the week, they weren't busy, which was great. We shared a Pain Perdue, which was plenty of food for me and a toddler. I really liked the praline syrup- yum! The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly too, and the fruit it came with balanced the rest of the breakfast nicely- made it seem healthy ;). I did find the recyclable/ bag fee strange- we ate in the restaurant and didn't get anything togo. But our server got a big table as we were trying to leave so was pretty busy and it was only 25 cents. So not sure if it was a mistake or if that's a normal part of the bill regardless of if you get takeout.

We went here on a Sunday at 9am with a party of 6 and an infant and luckily were able to get in right away. The little waiting area is cute and it is very nice you are able to get coffee/speciality cocktails there while you wait. I like the way this Lucile's is laid out in comparison to some of the others, as you are really spaced out from other tables and not on top of one another. We started with two orders of the beignets and a liter of the fresh squeezed OJ which are always great. Two members also got bloody Mary's, one with the pickle infused vodka, and the other without, but both were good, however, the pickles on both were very spicy. For entrees we then got the creole omelette, eggs Benedict, eggs Eisenhower, and the Cajun breakfast. Everything was delicious, and as usual, a ton of food with plenty of leftovers for tomorrow's breakfast. Our server was also great, very attentive and friendly.

Do you do a Mother's Day brunch? If you do, is it order off the menu or do we go around and get your own food?

Hi Mark! I'm almost positive they don't have a buffet. Unfortunately, there are hardly any brunch buffets left. It drives my hubby nuts.

Are they open right now? Tried to call but it wouldn't go through m?

Yes they are open again! The phone number is (720) 465-9908

The setting is lovely, a nicely restored historic building with a Victorian vibe in downtown Littleton. Service was excellent and the food was very well executed. The shared Brussels sprouts were a hit. The salmon bowls were flavorful and nicely prepared, as was the chicken salad sandwich. The fries were hot, crispy, and tasty. However, the standout was the Short Rib Grilled Cheese. Absolutely fantastic, and definitely what I'll be ordering next time. The hostess was extremely friendly, very conversational, and we definitely got that Southern hospitality. Our waiter, Ben, was extremely helpful when it came to questions we had and dishes that he would recommend us to try as first timers. We started off with their monthly special of fried okra and it was very delicious especially dipped in their homemade sauce. The okra was lightly battered, fried to perfection, and had a little spicy kick to it for every bite. Both my wife and I went with Ben's recommendation of the Monica-Smothered Catfish and Pork Chops. It was great to know that you could order the lunch portion during dinner hours and we did just that as we weren't too hungry after getting off the plane. The catfish fillets were cooked perfectly and it paired well with the crawfish tail cream sauce. One of the best catfish dishes I have eaten. As for the pork chop, it was grilled perfectly as well and the vegetables were a nice side. Also, one of the best pork chop dishes I have eaten. The creamed potatoes were delicious, but I didn't expect melted butter on top. Since the restaurant was busy for dinner service, there was a hiccup with our toddler's meal and Ben resolved it very quickly. I wished we had room for dessert because the descriptions were definitely mouth watering and Ben did ask us a few times if we wanted to try the beignets as they are a top seller. All in all, we would definitely come back here whenever we're in Colorado to try other dishes as well as the desserts! Service was excellent as our waiter and the other staff made our dining experience very smooth and seamless. They checked in on us in a timely manner and made sure we weren't missing anything. The restaurant was clean and had a good mix of the Colorado outdoor and the Southern/New Orleans decor. The parking lot is a decent size and we always saw it full whenever we left the hotel during lunch and dinner times.
