A good friend of mine and I decided to try "Luckey's Woodsman" (Okay, first thing; 1) Who was/is "Lucky"? 2) Who is this, "Woodsman", with whom he/she/"they", have such a culinary fondness for? The name raises many questions and draws many possible - perhaps even amorous - conclusions) one weekend and we ordered a couple of their cheeseburgers; she, their basic burger and I, the "Woodsman". We also ordered a small order of their regular fries. She went over to pick them up and pay for them and returned quickly. As soon as she walked through the front door with the food, I could smell the deliciousness coming from the boxed burgers and fries; when I bit into my burger, it was delightful! Also, when we ordered, we were asked how, "done", we wanted our burgers, "Well Done", "Medium", "Medium Rare" or "Rare"; I chose "Medium Rare" and it was cooked, perfectly! My friend loved her burger as well. And the fries were also done perfectly AND were wonderfully spicy! Since then, I've ordered online from them twice more and have never been disappointed, EXCEPT for the fact that their online ordering form offers curbside delivery, but they don't actually do that; that's (I found out the hard way and was very disappointed) something the management of "Luckey's Woodsman" should eliminate, if they aren't actually going to offer that considerate service! read more

I think I might have tasted truffle, but I definitely tasted the outrageous amount of salt. I was really looking forward to this meal as the cart seemed pretty cool. Between my wife, myself and my 3 very young boys we ordered 4 meals 2 of which were children's meals, drank only water, had to seat ourselves, order on our phones, ring ourselves out, serve ourselves, and bus our own table. Final cost was $87.60. Oh and also on the website it says burger with choice of side, but when you ordering on the app the sides are an extra $5 so a children's meal will cost you $17 with fries. I think I would have let it all go, but in bussing the table virtually everything was thrown away including the the tin trays that most of the food was served in. Food tasted OK, but they need to work on their concept and think about the planet. . . Bend is an eco-tourism destination. You are just throwing it all away. read more

BOMB food truck at the Silvermoon brewing lot! I've been here a few times in person and it's also my go-to lunch delivery in Bend. Literally every time I order for lunch it's delivered within 30-45 min! I ordered from their website directly and started collecting points for future orders which I thought was rad. My go-to is a toss-up between the burgers or the Lumberjack hot kit. The brisket is fire! And with all the tasty veggies and herbs it's really a light feeling meal that still sticks to the ribs :) And the cold boxes are pretty bomb to bring up to the mountain or out on a hike. Not only is the food excellent, its tasty & hardy after a day of hiking. This place has wholesome, heathy and thoughtfully sourced foods. The "hit kits" were such a great twist on favorites like brisket. The GF & vegetarian options were also perfecto for those in our party who tried them. Went here with my husband yesterday for lunch. This business clearly thought into their menu items. The food quality was wonderful. This isn't your typical Bend food truck establishment. Nor, does it taste like fast food. I ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich. The meat was tenderized and dipped into the buttermilk. The sandwich came topped with a fried egg surrounded by two thick slices of buttered Texas toast . No mess. Only yum. Amazing food and great service. I had the Sasquash hot dish and my mom had the forager. Both were seasonal and delicious. My only quip was the forbidden rice. A scoop of brown rice would have been preferred over the crunchy weird flavor of forbidden rice. We also would have liked more beers on tap and better wine, but I get that it's fast casual and a new business so maybe that will come with time. What a fantastic find at the Diff'rent Smokes beer festival (at Silver Moon Brewery). The staff was super helpful making recommendations and helping us choose, and we were thrilled to find great menu choices packed with healthy vegetables and rich flavors. The Brussels Sprouts side was delicious, not too oily and nicely seasoned (bonus parm for nice taste). The pulled chicken with butternut squash and zoodles was a yummy and filling dinner, without weighing us down. On top of all this, the chef shared his smoked melon, which was an amazing new take on watermelon that I discovered for the first time in my 50 years. Superb! read more

I love this food truck! Everything I've had from them is amazing. My favorite is the woodsman bowl. It's especially cool to me that they roast radishes and Brussels sprouts for this dish. Actually, it's not just the veggies, all of the ingredients are elevated from the norm. The brisket is really flavorful, they use black rice instead of traditional and the grilled lemon that you can squeeze on top is just perfect. Honestly, I'm pretty stoked this place is in Sisters. Incredible food. It's a good, chill atmosphere and something that seems to be a rarity in Sisters.
