We had Trey as our server and he was great. Very quick and informative. Checked on us several times to make sure we didn't need anything. I originally order the full rack of ribs but was shortly informed they were sold out. Bummer! So I went w/ the sirloin and fries w/ a house salad. The salad was delicious 10/10. It has cucumber, tomato, bacon and egg. The ranch was homemade and reminded me of the ranch from Jake's. The truffle fries were very good and crispy. I do wish they had aioli to go with them. I was a bit disappointed with the sirloin. I asked for it medium, it was definitely medium rare. Beautiful presentation; however the meat was tough & chewy! I was just expecting better quality. The kids meal option was probably the best and most cost efficient I've ever seen. You can pick from a list of about 8 different meals all for $6! + $1 for a drink & a dessert! $7 for a full meal and dessert is a steal especially in this economy. & the dessert was huge! I hadn't been to Harper's in quite some time and I need to put it back on the rotation. I got the salad with chicken supremes on it and it was absolutely delicious!!! The service was really attentive and for a lunch meeting it was quiet and our conversation was private. You don't find that often. The chicken tenders are really juicy and nicely spiced. You can tell they are hand cut and lightly battered. That really makes a difference. Great job! I will be back soon! read more

Omg! I love the vibe here, the music was on point. AC was blasting on this hot day! I got the cake cakes meal with Mac n cheese. Crab cake was everything I could ask for, the sauce and veggies pair well with it. Love how they offer a lemon also to squeeze on the crab cake. I was in a need for a delicious salad and the house salad did not disappoint either. Came with eggs, cucumber and real bacon pieces not the fake hard ones in the bag. Hubby got him braised boneless beef short rib with collard green. He was also very pleased. We both finish everything on our plate no left over which is a good sign. Definitely check them out guys. The ribs were tender and the portion was large, the BBQ sauce could have been better. The fish and chips were great, We had a a nice server and the restaurant vibe was laid back. The glasses are small, like highball glasses and so it was difficult for the server. We ordered iced tea and they did not have a pitcher for refills so he had to make a trip to bring us a new glass which meant there was nothing to drink several times throughout our meal. I forgot to take pictures during my recent Father's Day visit, but appreciated the ability to make a reservation through RESY. We arrived a few minutes early for our 145 reservation and we were seated within five minutes of our arrival. The waste staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and provided us with some options for both Sunday brunch as well as lunch, including two separate drink menus. My husband and I ordered the deviled egg appetizer, I had the chicken and waffles which included the restaurants, famous chicken tenders, and my husband opted for a burger. Harper's is a classic bar/restaurant and Grill. It's a very large restaurant with lots of seating. It is in an area with a lot of shopping so there is ample parking. Overall, the service was OK. It wasn't anything outstanding. Our server forgot a few things and mixed up orders a few times however outside of that, he was very pleasant The food overall was OK, nothing special. Ok so the only reason I went with 4 stars is because we went here as a group and wanted items from the bars bite menu and unfortunately you cant do the happy hour bar bites prices if you dont go to the actual bar and with a group as large as ours we could only split the bills by 4 separate checks which is super inconvenient if you have a lot of seniors who dont use cash app or zelle or that type of technology. I've never had a bad experience here! One of my go-to spots! Most recently, went to meet some long time friends for a catch up session over a meal. We went on a Sunday and thankfully it wasn't crowded so we were able to sit directly down. Everyone from the host to the wait staff greeted us with a smile and kept the same energy throughout the service! The food is always good! The Parmesan truffle fries are my favorite, so I got those with a salmon Caesar salad. So delicious! One of my friends got a side that they didn't like that much but the staff was accommodating and assisted with a switch out so that their meal would be great! The restaurant has a tavern feel to me. My youngest son took me out for dinner this evening, and he made reservations to this restaurant. We ordered calamari as our appetizer, and it was delicious. He ordered the ribeye w steak fries and a coke. He wanted his steak cooked medium rare, and thought steak was slightly over cooked to his desired texture. I visited Harper's as part of a holiday luncheon with my colleagues. We were seated in a designated section of the restaurant and assured by multiple employees. The service was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful when answering any questions that we had. Due to this being a booked luncheon, we were given preselected menu items to choose from. I ordered the salmon with asparagus. I'm not a fan of asparagus, so I ordered a side of the mashed potatoes, which were so good. The salmon was lacking seasoning, in my opinion. While waiting for our lunch, a few of us walked over to the bar to order a drink. I ordered a Strawberry Lemon Drop. The bartender did her thing when making my drink. I wish that I remembered her name because she deserves all of the credit. I'd go back to Harper's just because of her bartending skills. The food was lacking for me. While they do offer soups, you have to ask the server, and there's only one pasta dish available. Most dishes also come with grits if you choose them. This place is GOOD and I'm mad that it took me so long to discover it! I went with coworkers on a weekday during lunchtime and it wasn't too busy. We were seated immediately. I ordered the salmon wrap. The wrap comes with your choice of side from three options (fries, sweet potato fries, or pesto pasta salad). I chose the pesto pasta salad. The whole meal was delicious! We went for a Sunday lunch with our baby around 2pm and there was at least 5 table waiting in the line. We waited for around 25 minutes and they called us to show our table. I look around and they were at least 5 tables empty around us. What it looked like a full restaurant actually it was a disorganized staff that did not work properly to receive their customers. After that we stay for more 20 minutes to the waitress ask us about drinks and more 15 minutes to return to order the food. When the food came we were so hungry and tired of waiting, but I thought the waiting would worth it. Unfortunately, it doesn't. My steak was ok, the size was less than I expected, my husband order the tuna that at least was more tasty than mine. Abysmal and ghastly. I'm being generous. We went one last time because an acquaintance said that the food was a bit improved. They were decidedly wrong. It was the same tried, trite and poorly executed food we had grown to loathe. I decided, for this was the last gasp at this " restaurant" so I offered the beef short ribs, the most expensive thing on the minimalist menu. When it arrived it was dried and tough ap with a nice bit of fat thrown in, served in an uninspired sauce. I fully understand why they are in a shopping center. There is a constant flow of one time patrons. This restaurant fails on so many levels I'm embarrassed for them. To be fair, the wait staff is good, personable and competent. I visited with a group of friends on a Sunday. I was glad that they offer the ability to make reservations-both in the dining room and the bar. We arrived and were promptly escorted to our table where we met our waiter Justin. He was great. He offered great suggestions on drinks and food, was very attentive, had good conversation but not too pushy. I got the margarita. I hoped to get the smoky one but they were out of the mezcal needed to make it. The regular margarita was great. It was very fresh and the right kind of boozy. I ordered a salmon wrap and was a little disappointed. Overall the wrap was decent but it lacked a lot of flavor that it should have. No seasoning at all. Always consistent!! Local Greensboro eatery. Home cooked comfort food. This trip I had the meatloaf dish. It was different than most meatloafs, more like a scramble of meat. Very tasty. Side of grilled veggies and mashed potatoes. Perfect dish to start out fall. The service was great, a little slower than normal- but I believe just due to staffing and how busy it was on a rainy day. The coating was light and crispy and had a decent flavor but I wouldn't say it was "Cajun" to me. For my entree I got the crab cakes and a side of Mac and cheese. Swung by Harpers while out in GSO shopping for lunch. Been years since I've been to Harpers and forgot what a solid spot it was. Had a few Red Oaks at the bar before we ordered. The bar seating area is better than the main dining area in most other restaurants. The deviled eggs with bacon are pretty good. Could a little more seasoning for my taste but I'd order them again without hesitation. Had the ribs and collared greens for lunch. My husband and I are having a baby this week and naming her Harper, so for fun, we decided to go to Harper's as our "last dinner out" as a family of two. I haven't been to Harper's in years and my husband hasn't at all so we didn't go in with any expectations. We arrived on the early side at 4:00pm and it wasn't crowded at all. The restaurant was clean and just how I remembered it looking on the inside. Our waitress was friendly and prompt. We ordered the calamari for our appetizer and it came out super fast. It was piping hot, crispy, and delicious. The tarter and cocktail sauce were perfect. It also came with slaw, which I'm normally super picky about, and I have to say this slaw was incredible! For our entrees, we split the Parmesan crusted trout but traded the grilled veggies for a baked sweet potato and the Chicken Supremes with fries (and more slaw!) entree because of its high reviews. Again, both entrees came out quick and hot. Both were so good. We couldn't decide which was our favorite! We will definitely be returning soon to try out the cookie skillet or key lime pie. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere but is a bit loud. The service is great and very accommodating. The food was sub par. WE came in for brunch on Sunday. I had an omelet and it was too greasy to eat. I used 4 cocktail napkins to wipe it off and it was still greasy with no meat at all. Both of us had coffee and it was sour, and just bad. My wife had French toast and it was 3 large pieces but was covered in butter. They should let you put that on yourself. To get all the butter off she had to scrape all the pecans off too. the had a side of roast vegetables and they were vegetables soaked in oil. People say they are a "chef" and can't cook basic food. We gone there off and on since they opened. Just stick with a beer at the bar. read more
