    Produce

Produce isn't the best and prices are high compared to other stores. This picture was taken on 5/19 went to get tomatoes but all of them had an oily feel to it. If you look closely it looks like they were sprayed with something to look newer but most of them were straight mushy. Don't like how they reorganized the whole store it has made shopping here unnecessarily longer.

Spent $404 /63 items and they freaked out when I needed to return 7 items. said she didn't want to be bothered. WOW

I spent over $400 here and I bought 63 items. I bought too many items that I didn't need for our event so I was wanting to return them. It was about seven items I counted. 7 items out of 63 items really isn't that much but to them it was a huge giant return. Mind you I called first. A woman with a very deep Slovic accent told me it would be OK and when I got there. After all my trouble.... The same woman comes up and told me "no way can't do it." Without an explanation she just didn't want too. It was way too much for her she said. Well, It was way too much for me to go out in the dark in the freezing cold load up these few items stand in line. Wait my turn have the cashier go through and mark everything on the receipt for her to come up and say no it's too too much trouble for her. How rude and disrespectful !!! I don't believe this woman should be in customer service and I bet she's a real bear to work for too. I urge customers to save your receipt and return the things that they don't use don't want and don't need. Stop wasting your money on groceries.

I love to be able to go to my local grocery store! I do try to shop local when possible. This store has always been super clean and organized. Employees always friendly and helpful. Recently (today) this location i noticed has some new employees. They are not very friendly and almost somewhat rude. It looks like they are short handed not sure. I understand times are wierd rt now and everyone has life going on, but you still expect people to be nice and friendly! To the managers at this store please hire for personality! It does make a difference. The bagger at my ck stand today was just not a happy guy! When i go to T Joes, Sprouts i have always felt welcomed and that the employees are happy to be there! I may have to start going to Safeway for my quick purchases!

We ended up with those and a few stickers before ordering a brown sugar cinnamon latte (on recommendation from the barista) and a giant mint chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was really big. A bit on the drier side, but I loved the flavor. Not too sweet, and the mint was just right. The latte was really good. Perfect temperature, and just the right amount of sweetness. Very good espresso taste came through the foam. Perfect little treat on a cold and rainy day! Service is really fast and friendly. I'll be back!

Since we've been boycotting a certain coffee establishment with the mermaid logo, and our once coffee spot that is now owned by a private equity firm, we wanted to go to a locally-owned coffee shop and support them instead. My friend, who also happens to live in Martinez, found this spot on Yelp and we all drove here. We arrived there with a couple of hours to spare before they closed. It's a small, charming and quaint coffee shop with plenty to offer like baked goods and pastries. The young lady working at the counter was friendly, accommodating and provided us with answers to our questions and explained their menu. My Martinez friend mentioned that he wasn't aware this place even existed and that his kids went to school just a couple blocks away. They've been in business for 13 years, and she actually graduated from the same school that his kids went to. I ordered an Iced Pistachio Latte (not too sweet), while my friends ordered a hot drink (regular latte, I believe) and another iced drink. And yes, one can ask to customize the sweetness level to your preference. We also got a slice of Pistachio Nutella Coffee Cake and a Strawberry Coffee Cake. Coffee is good (that's all we can ask for) and she gave us a generous portion of the coffee cake since there was three of us to share the cake with. My friend said he would definitely return again since he knew this place existed and continue to support local businesses.

This farmers market as a small town charm to it and every person I interacted with was friendly. I was in the area because I crashed at a buddy's house the night before. When I was leaving the area, I saw this place and wanted to check it out. Keep in mind it was around the holidays and it was drizzling a bit that Sunday, so I'm not sure if it affected the amount of vendors present as this was my first time visiting. I ended up getting some enchiladas to go from one of the vendors selling Mexican food and a loaf of quinoa bread from one of the bakers (West Won Bread out of Napa). The food was good and the quinoa loaf was amazing and enjoyed by my parents and I later on when we served with some stew. Would love to re-visit with better weather conditions and different parts of the year. But definitely an enjoyable market based on my first visit.

Super location with enough different items to serve everyone. I highly recommend coming here on Sunday mornings from 9-1. Don't forget to stop at at House of Petals the brick n mortar flower shop. I came in early this morning on May 22 and ordered two drinks. I thought one of them was different…read morethan what I had actually ordered, so I simply asked where the other drink was. Once the correct drink was located, instead of a normal clarification, I was corrected with a snide attitude and visible annoyance from the staff behind the counter. I work in healthcare. I deal with stressed, confused, sick, frightened, and sometimes outright rude people every day. Clarifying questions are part of interacting with human beings. A customer politely asking about an order should not be treated like an inconvenience. What struck me most was the atmosphere of hostility and intolerance over something incredibly minor. I even noticed another customer apologizing repeatedly just for asking questions about her own order. That says a lot about the environment. Everyone makes mistakes -- customers and employees alike. Starbucks orders get mixed up sometimes everywhere. That's normal. What shouldn't be normal is visible contempt, eye-rolling, dirty looks, or making customers feel like they're burdens for speaking up politely. Some of these employees would benefit from remembering that basic customer interaction requires patience, emotional regulation, and professionalism. If a simple clarification question first thing in the morning creates that much resentment, something is off culturally at this location. People are exhausted enough already. A little basic decency goes a long way. On another day with other staff, this place can get 5 stars. I just felt something had to be said it was a little over the top.
