My daughter had an appointment at the dentist Nextdoor and I was a little hungry so while I was waiting I decided to try this place because I noticed a lot of people coming and going for lunch. I was a little disappointed because I had my heart set on an everything bagel but there wasn't very many bagels to choose from at around 12pm. They only had a few sesame, plain and 1 sweet bagel. I ordered the nova lox on a plain bagel to go. If the lox had been fresh it would have been a tasty lunch and they were very generous with the ingredients but unfortunately the salmon was bad. I took one bite and had to spit it out. They gave me a refund without any hesitation and they were extremely friendly. I would try this place again but not the lox. read more

Been a handful of times and the food is good not great. The bagels are tasty but seem to be on the smaller side. I like sundried tomato cream cheese but theirs seems really bland. This year is a time I dedicated to trying nova lox's from different places. I'm normally looking for a thick cream cheese spread, onions with a good bite, capers bursting with juices, and of course a flavorful layer of salmon. Though BSC bakes their own bagels, they are on the denser, crunchier side. Though I prefer my bagels fluffier and on a softer side, the Baliny bagel is quite special and adds some sparkle to a classic sandwich. It was quite a mouthful but filling with every bite. 8/10 recommend for those into cured salmon. The staff were friendly and busy but patient as I looked over their menu for the first time. Bagel Street in Martinez is my personal favorite for yummy bagels and eggwiches. I usually get the sourdough bagel, but honestly, they're all delicious! This used to be a wonderful place to get bagels. I haven't been here for quite sometime and was eagerly looking forward to cheese bagels for my friends and me. I have 3 compaints: 1. While I was standing in line, I heard 3 men in the front corner loudly spewing hateful political rhetoric. These guys seem to be regular customers. My friend, who has a non-white adopted daughter, was subjected to this "noise" about a month ago. She will never be back. 2. The bagels seem smaller and the $2.50 cheese bagels now have very little cheese on them. They are no longer as special or delicious. Went here 8/11 around 9:45am and had the lox spread bagel and butter croissant; nothing to complain about service or food wise. However, seated toward the front of the door were three elderly men having a conversation that included the words "illegals," referring to undocumented immigrants, and the N-Word, "N***ers," to refer to Black Americans. I am not surprised that these people were using this language so openly amongst themselves. I am surprised this establishment would tolerate this hateful language so openly in their restaurant. It's not my job to tell those men that their speech is wrong and should not be tolerated, but it is the job of this establishment to notify them of this to ensure a comfortable experience for all of their clientele. read more

Amazing bagels with a wide variety of flavors. My wife had the Banana Nut and loved it. My plain with lox spread was great. Really good coffee with several choices. Cream Cheese excellent. This place is nothing fancy, but what I like about them and keeps me coming back is the consistency of the food and the friendly atmosphere of the staff. I know when I come here, when I open the door I will hear the chime of the door bells, and feel the warm air on my face that smells of fresh bagels. The friendly staff will take my order, and while they prepare my bagel, I will move down the counter to the cashier, who by they way only takes cash. I went there to get bagels for my office and believed I was overcharged. Because I was in a rush I didn't check the receipt and went on my way. The prices are high, but that's not my primary complaint. When I went back recently I made a similar order but paid attention when I was getting rung up. I ordered a regular cheese bagel and they tried charging me an extra 5 dollars for a ham and cheese bagel. I also ordered a regular dozen assorted and they tried to charge me extra for some more premium bagels that I did not request. I specifically ordered the regular dozen without premium bagels but they decided to ignore that and try to charge me for random premium bagels I didn't order. The bagels were fine but they shouldn't be up charging for no reason. Their prices are high enough as it is. I'll stick to Noah's Bagels. read more

I love a good bagel. A friend brought over five bagels and each of them was really good - they were fresh and not over or underbaked. He also brought plain and garlic and herb cream cheese, which were on point. These five stars are for the quality of their bagels only. This is my absolute favorite local bagel shop and I've been coming here forever!! I always order a bagel toasted w/ butter or a chicken salad bagel sandwich, and they never fail to satisfy my bagel cravings. The bagel is soft on the inside and not too hard on the outside. The staff is nice and the service is quick! They even have stamp cards for coffee. It's best to come here when they open in the morning so the best bagels are still available. Later in the day there are less options. The only downside is that Bagel Street only accepts cash. read more

The delivery guy with Bagel street cafe backed up inches from my car-inches like 2"'s on 1/24/2022 blocking me in until I kept blowing my horn as he backed up.,I was in the parked in compact spot pictured, getting ready to get out my the car...I could not and after honking my horn down he temporarily pulled up so I could turn into the opposite parking spots and move so I could get out of my car. He left the break off on his truck, which made the truck roll forward. He did not go the delivery area in the back and didn't care that his unsafe driving blocked my access. The office I was visiting could hear my horn and saw the car on the other side inches by this delivery truck. He was trying to make his delivery 10 minutes before the cafe closed.
