Lucky Strike Social Girls night, Bowling Party Peggy Penny was the bowling loan shark. She told us she didn't know how to play She whipped our assess. Peggy Penny a.k.a. bowling champion. I was the gutter ball Queen, and I wear my crown probably. They served us chicken and waffles, margarita pizza, Cesar salad, and jumbo nachos shredded pork in all the fixings. The chicken and waffles where the faith. There was enough food to feed an army. Soft drinks were included in our packages And Our bartender Phat, kept the drinks comingthe drinks. And then we were given passes to go downstairs to play video games. We all turned into teenage girls running around trying all the video games. Having a party was a great way for my friends to experience all that this venue has to offers. We all had a blast and will be booking some more parties in the future. read more

Omg..... we had an eye appointment earlier so we figure look for a nice dark place to have lunch and a drink. Lucky strike was one of the places that came to mind. When it was time to order we had to ask the server if we could do a locomoco without rice substitute salad. He checked with the kitchen and the chef said he could make it happen. Pulled in to the Ala Moana hotel at 9:00 pm on a Saturday night. All the restaurants down town were closing up (COVID restrictions) or had huge lines. Yelp sent me to this place and I couldn't be happier. First off, it's somewhere in the Ala Moana mall , I think third floor. Not super easy to find, but keep looking - it's there. Kitchen closed at 11 pm, an hour or two later than everywhere else. Good selection of draft beers and also a full bar. I got the pasta Diablo with shrimp. Wonderful. Unexpectedly good for a bowling alley. Friends ordered pizza, which they also liked (But get the pasta). Friendly staff, and I also have to mention that the music was good too. As much as I hate malls, I'll make an exception for this place- it's that good. read more

Recently had my son's birthday party there. Didn't go there before so wasn't sure how everything worked over there as the bowling lanes are on the upper floor and food and games downstairs. We had 2 lanes reserved and the management & workers were super helpful and made sure there was tables ready for us when we were done bowling. Booked a buffet style for a party. The food ran out and so many had to wait for service to have more food brought. Everyone was waiting at least 30 minutes with their empty plates for food to be delivered. Waiters were okay on drinks, but kept forgetting and it took a while just for a soda or beer to be delivered. We ended up having to go to the main bar to ask for service on drinks and having to ask for assistance with the "buffet" food that ran out once it started. Ridiculous. read more

I came here for a bowling event. The upstairs private area is very nice and accommodates up to 32 people. There are 4 small bowling lanes. There is seating with leather chairs all over the place. There is also a bar off to the side. The decor inside had old books in a bookcases in different corners of the room. We ate a variety of appetizers from Ahi nachos, chicken mini burgers, pho-like mini burgers, macaroni cheese bites, vegetable platter, mini crab cakes and a variety of pizzas. The food was delicious. Bowling was a blast! They have all sizes of bowling balls to choose from. The bowling shoes are clean and new looking. The staff are friendly and always checked up to see if we are doing good. Overall, I would recommend hosting a party here with the bowling alley package. read more

We love bringing my son here, even though he's really little he loves the lights and games. He'll really love it when he's older for sure. It's a nice change up from Dave & Buster's, since that's been the main game place here in honolulu for a while. The game cards can get pretty pricey since a lot of the games cost quite a bit of points to play. It's always a good idea to buy the points in bulk to get more for your money. The food is okay and can also get pricey but when you're with a group of people it's nice that the pupu's are made to share and are pretty large servings. It's also cool that this place is located in the mall so you can tire out the kids before or after your shopping trip lol. There's also a nice variety of games, and everything is accessible via your Lucky Strike card. There's some pretty cool prizes, but you need considerable amount of tickets to get the really cool stuff. I haven't been to the bowling area, but would like to check it out one of these days when i babies are bit bigger. read more

Very fun place to stop by and enjoy some food, arcade and sports. Reminds me of Dave & Busters. We ordered the chicken wings, pizza, chicken tenders, quesadillas and nachos. Everything was surprisingly good. Server was great always checking up to make sure everything was good. This is probably the 2nd time we visit Lucky strike on our trip to Hawaii. The place is also surrounded with all the shopping stores so you can literally spend almost the whole day here. Very fun family experience. read more

If you are looking for something to do and have some food near alamoana this is a good place. On the first floor they have a selection of games similar to any arcade like place. They have a store where you can turn in your points to get prizes. They have a big dining area with T.V's right next to the games. They have a bowling alley upstairs which is small with three lanes (make sure you plan ahead of time) and also has another dining area. Food was good, wasn't amazing but has a lot of selection. Drinks are good and prices are a little pricy. The service was great and quick. read more

I was surprised at how different Ala Moana has changed in the recent years and knowing that this used to be Shirokiya's old beer garden location. If I was just reviewing bowling it would be 1-star. This is not a real bowling alley, the lanes are not greased, and the pins don't reset properly. We were very disappointed that this is listed as one of the top bowling alleys in Oahu. It was insanely expensive and they started the time before we were ready, had to get shoes on, use the restroom, etc. The rest of the place looks fun, they have a great arcade room and the restaurant/bar area looked appetizing. read more

Since he plays Fantasy Football with his friends, they can watch all the games on large TVs! It opens at 7am perfect for the first game & you can get breakfast too! It's located in the old Shirokiya spot at Ala Moana! It's in a perfect location on the 3rd floor right next to Macy with lots of parking! The staff is very friendly with fast service! I ordered the mushroom cheeseburger with fries. There were a ton of savory mushrooms & the cheese was melted all over that it was so delicious & messy! Needed to use a fork and knife! The fries were well done & crispy! And the pickle was crunchy and sour! A perfect meal! It is so convenient so all his friends like meeting there! I like it too because i can go shopping! read more

This place is a YES! The food was surprisingly delicious; I was shocked at how good everything tasted! I had the Cajun Pasta and it was beyond yummy, I heard the pizza is also good and they have some amazing seasoned fries The main event was the arcade and it was a bit underwhelming, the overall game selection isn't the best though I did find a few games that I enjoyed so it was not a complete disappointment. Been a few times before...and it's pretty fun. Went again on Sunday for my niece's bday. Went to the main floor and asked for her bday party...and at the Host area, he had no clue. Little odd that the information is not readily available, but we just guessed bowling so decided to go upstairs. Bowling was fun. Little squishy. Bumpers were good for the kids, and added another element for the adults. Considering the bumpers, we still had terrible scores. Blame it on the beer. The waitress was super nice and pretty quick. Started with a vodka soda...think they forgot the vodka, or it was watered down. Switched to beer and no problems there. Pizzas ok. Chicken bites ok. Chips and salsa/guac ok...think just jarred stuff. Heard there were jalapeno poppers but those were already gone. Spring rolls were terrible. So heavy on the wrapper...think it was egg roll wrappers on the tiny spring rolls. First batch was so over-fried and...just terrible. Food definitely less than desirable. (D&Bs food and menu options much better) After bowling, went downstairs to play basketball. Had to pay for a card...I guess that's standard? The basketball games did not link. Not as fun when without that cut-throat competition! Basket also did not move regardless of which was picked. Broken...junk. Will go back for parties, but think D&Bs, despite being older and in need of a little makeover, is better overall. read more

First of all our waitress was on top of her game! She took our orders like a pro. 3 stars? Well...the food was bad. To be honest it wasn't good at all. Our sizzling steak was beyond well done, burnt and salty. Our sliders was dry and Salty again. Nacho fries, again, Salty and soggy. I would love to give this place a try again. Maybe the cooks were overwhelmed on how busy it was. But the atmosphere was good in there. Ohhh and the day we went, the kiosk to refill or buy a players card wasn't taking anyones Credit Card. Not one person. between the hours of 5pm-8pm we were there we couldn't use the kiosk. Had to buy it manually at the cashiers. Hopefully it's now fixed. read more

This place is fun to get drunk with a bunch of friends and party. They have a huge game room downstairs with all the newest games (better than D&B). A nice big sport bar,Vegas style. Upstairs there are 4 bowling lanes and a small bar area. Lots of couch seating and a small gentleman's area, that looks like a cigar lounge (although no cigars). Lanes are pretty tight and sometimes the scoring is off but overall fun. Food was just average bar food. Pizza, mandoo, salsa and chips poke nachos , etc. I like this place better than d&b, except for the food. read more

Met some family here for lunch and we had a fun time. The atmosphere is much more relaxed than some place like Dave & Buster's and just this side of grown up of Johnny Rocket's or Fun Factory. The food was surprisingly good too! Ordered the Bacon & Blue salad and this salad is everything. Sweet and savoury, crunchy and soft and large enough to feed two. I think they candied the walnuts and bacon, which, *chef's kiss*. We also split a Patty Melt that was juicy and the sourdough was toasted to perfection. You know that finite window of time between perfection and the weird starchy stick of potato that can happen with a McDonald's fry? That happens here too! So either skip those or eat them first. Parking at Ala Moana is what it is, a nightmare. We park at Macy's and walk over. When will they realise slanted parking lots is much more efficient that regular stalls? One of the other things to watch out for is the booths. You can misstep which happened to my aunty who fell on her knee. The staff immediately attended to her, filled out an incident form and asked if she needed an ambulance. Game cards cost $2 and also keep track of your tickets but it's easy to spend. Kids had lots of fun too. We spent an entire card playing out a story in one of those booth games. Good times, good times! read more

I have apologize before I review because I didn't get any pictures of lucky strike as I was too busy trying to control my kids, eating, bowling, and socializing with my coworkers at our annual Christmas party that this year was held at Lucky Strike Social. The party started at 4pm and we had the whole upstairs area for our group including the bowling lanes. We were one of the first to arrive at the party so we made for the bowling lanes of which there are 4. They have really nice and comfortable couches to lounge on while you bowl but not enough tables and chairs for all our work buddies so lots of people were standing and eating and drinking. The bowling are just so so but fun for the kids. They have lots of different bowls including a 4 lb bowl with 5 finger holes that my 4 yr old son could carry easily. They have bumper lanes and easy roll slides for really small bowlers. We also each got a play card for the games downstairs that came with the event price. The food was all you can eat pupus and they were hit and miss. I loved their spicy poke nachos, the beef sati sticks, the fried chicken bites and the spring rolls. I didn't like the chicken sati sticks, the crab balls, and the wonton or mandoo looking thing. I especially didn't like the chicken sati stick. It was pretty bad tasting. Beef was so much better. Their spicy poke nachos were wonderful and I ate about 25-30 all by myself because it was so good. The wait staff was trying but they were definitely overwhelmed with too little help so you basically needed to order drink from the bar. The girl waitresses are really cute here and men are friendly. Service could be have been better but they kept the pupus line filled so that's the most important thing for me especially when it's buffet style. The ambience of the place was nice but the night was little humid so the upper party area was pretty hot. The upper area is also an open air bar with a large open window. Downstairs was the restaurant and the games. I didn't go in the restaurant but it seemed a pretty nice and open. The games were all brand new and the prices were cheaper then Dave and Busters but definitely not really for kids. My kids got little frustrated at some of the games. But overall they had fun and I didn't need to spend additional money so it was a nice night out. So overall it was an enjoyable night and my kids and wife are passed out as I write this review. So... last night, my friends dragged me here...hahaha! I had no idea where this was located. I was so surprised that it was next to Macy's at Ala Moana Shopping Center! We parked for free and walked right in. There were no lines and it wasn't too crowded on a Thursday night. Perfect! They told me that there were 4 lanes for bowling, but we didn't go there. Instead, we walked past all of the arcade games and went to the bar. Miss Bee got me a Blue Hawaiian ($12) - thank you! It was sweet and fruity and refreshing! Then we watched the guys play the basketball game... funny! When we passed the Air Hockey game, we four gals took out our aggressions... spooky! Thanks to Mike for the game! This is a great place for a get together! We enjoyed the air conditioning, restrooms, big screen televisions, friendly service, beverages, and food! Excellent service. Good bar food. Loud atmosphere. Bring a jacket. It's cold in there. Great place to watch sports as they have a lot of TVs at the bar. We went there for lunch on a Thursday around 11:30. We ordered a variety of food and ate family style. For bar food we thought it was a couple of notches above the typical bar food. Our favorite was the bacon wrapped shrimp. Big succulent shrimp with wonderful fatty smoky flavors served on a bed of roasted corn and back beans. We also liked the Spicy Shrimp although it wasn't that spicy. The nachos were huge with generous portion of shredded pork. Another crowd favorite was the Turkey Club with apple smoked bacon and fried egg. We got it on sourdough bread. Huge sandwich. Delicious and the egg definitely kicked it up a notch. The Flank Steak Wrap was a bit disappointing. Not much steak and mostly lettuce. Will definitely come back and watch some games there. It's at Ala Moana Mall so plenty of parking. I love this place. I think I'm addicted, haha! The game room is on the second floor. All the way at the back is the restaurant/bar area. The whole back wall is full of flat screen TVs. It would be a great place to catch college and NFL football. They have so many screens that you can watch all the games at once. On the third floor is the bar/bowling alley. It contains only four lanes, so I'm sure the wait can get kind of long. I'm hooked on some of the game machines at this place. You buy a game card and load it up with the amount that you want. When you win tickets, it will also go back on the card. Then, you get to redeem it for prizes at the reward center. At the restaurant, we tried the Lucky Strike Burger, Huli Huli Chicken, and a kid's Mac & Cheese. The food exceeded my expectations except for the kid's Mac & Cheese. The Mac & Cheese was like the boxed ones you could get at Costco. The burger was excellent. We asked for it to be medium well and it was, just slightly pink on the inside. It had their house Lucky Sauce on it. The Huli Huli Chicken was half a chicken with two scoops of white rice and mac salad. It was topped off with a teriyaki glaze. The chicken was roasted on site. The chicken was moist and tender. I went on Saturday, and they were still serving their limited opening menu. Happily headed here for a going away party. I had a bit of mixed feelings about going after reading reviews about Lucky Strike. I've been to Lucky Strike several times in California and pretty much knew what to expect. However, I was pleasantly surprised upon entering Lucky Strike Social. I was taken aback by the decor and look of this establishment. From the community tables, bar and midway.. I was in awe. My friends arrived early and saved us the large community table in front of the bar with a great view of the midway and tv's. After chatting with my friends, my kiddos and I decided next what to eat. There menu is pretty vast which made deciding what to eat a lot harder. We decided to order: Lucky Strike nachos with kalua pork Truffle fries Bavarian pretzel sticks Wings Crispy chicken salad Lucky Loco moco Large, tasty dishes and perfect for sharing! For a bar/gaming type establishment, the food isn't too bad. we arrived at the tail end of happy hour and were able to get our truffle fries and beers at happy hour prices! We headed to the midway for gaming next. I loved that the games were new and different. It was cool to see a lot of classic arcade games and games not available at DnB Hawaii. Also, I noted the nice party room on this floor and mall entrance. My son enjoyed playing games here and actually didn't run out of money on his card. Enjoyable evening for me and my kids! #51 of 2017 August 6 I had some time to kill before our dinner date and decided to check this out. First impression place is huge!! It's got all the latest games you can play for every variety of player including an old timer like me. When I saw the giant Ms. Pacman I was mesmerized reminiscing how I walked across the street from my job for lunch just to play. I waited patiently watching another old timer play with his wife. He was not bad but his wife kept running into them. After the 3rd game I had to leave. I will have to come back another time to have my chance to play this classic game. The noise level is very loud difficult to talk without partially yelling. Understandable for an arcade venue. It just seemed much louder than usual. The thought of putting sound dampeners would just deflate the fun I bet. There is a large bar area where you can sit down and watch sports on their flat screens. I wanted some place a little more accommodating for my group who wanted to talk. We made our way upstairs. You have to go through the doors on the parking lot side, take the wide stair case, on the left, to get up there. This is where they have a quieter bar and the bowling alley. $6 a line for kama'aina and military with proper ID of course. $4.50 for shoe rental. They are advising you not bring your own shoes or bowling ball. Again, I didn't have time for this. I'll have to come back to bowl a few lines another time. From the bar we ordered a round of drinks. I went with the old fashion. I'm just going to say I've had way better. We made our way to the other side of the bowling lanes where it was more secluded. We could hear the pins getting hit but wasn't that loud at all. It was a nice cozy area to sit and talk. Big coffee table to sit our drinks. The chairs didn't look like much but were very cozey. I sank in mine almost falling into lalaland. Service is slow. They are new trying to work all their kinks out. Hopefully when I do return most of that will be hammered out. Good spot to stop for date night, or for a night capper, or just to talk and socialize with friends. Just got to have some patience. read more

NOT A FAN. Logistic nightmare... there's no access from the first floor to the second floor without using the outdoor staircase. Additionally, if you're seated in the upstairs bar area or next to the bowling alley and order food... someone downstairs has to carry it upstairs (outside). HUH?! That explains why every dish we ordered came up cold. I can just picture the food runners ignoring our plates because no one wants to carry it up two flights of stairs. Happy hour food menu is a hard pass with exception for the Belgium fries... when I asked our waitress what makes them Belgium she told me they were regular fries... they're far from regular because they have truffle oil and a dusting of parm cheese. (Eye roll) They're out of Chardonnay and many draft beers because their free soft opening last night was an absolute shit show. Our waitress mentioned they had a Cabernet and Pinot on the happy hour wine menu as well. When I asked what kind of Pinot? She had to check... The game situation downstairs looked cool. Everything new and lots of games I've never seen before at say a Dave & Busters. I learned that bowling M-F Kamaaina rate is $5.95 a game till 700pm then $75 an hour after that. Will I be going back? A bowling alley in town is great! Too bad they only have 4 lanes, and too bad it can actually add up to $$$$. I like that town has a new place to play. I tried only one arcade game and thought that I was a bit gypped since the play time was so short. Maybe there are other games in there that will give you more play for your buck. The bowling was loads of fun. Of course, I'm no professional so whatever set up they have there is more than enough for an amateur player. Oh, and if you want to "beat the crowd" go first thing in the morning. As for the food, I'm happy to see there were many veggie friendly items! That's a plus. Came tonight to check it out. It was only their 3rd night of being open. Spent most of our time at the second level bar area where the bowling lanes are. Drinks took very long to come to our table of 5. Our waiter kept apologizing for the wait as he said the bartender was new and they were trying to figure out the kinks in the POS system. The worse thing tho is that my card was charged TWICE!! Didn't know until now as I've already left Lucky Strike and am now back home and I didn't take home the customer copy of the receipt. read more
