I would love to know if it is common practice for you to cut off a customer after they've purchase one drink with zero explanation. It was extremely embarrassing considering I had just convinced my group of 25 people, who are here for a wedding party, to come to the arcade. I purchased one drink at the bar, the Lucky Sunset, closed my tab and played games. Came back to the bar at least 30-45min later, ate chicken tenders with my friends and after finishing my meal I asked for a redbull vodka and was told "No." so flat that I thought the bartender was trying to be funny because personally I have a very dry sense of humor. It took me a goooid couple of minutes to realize what was happening. It wasn't until after my friend asked the bartender if there was a rule against redbull vodka because of the caffeine and she told my friend "no, only SHE can't have one" and pointed at me across the bar. I was completely shocked and confused considering the Lucky Sunset was my FIRST drink of the night. I am not a heavy drinker at all. I had one drink and got completely blindsided and embarrassed by this bartender. She then said I could have a redbull and that it was on the house which felt like a major slap in the face. Then she proceeded to tell my friend Austin that management requested I sober up. And that "some people just have a little too much fun and can't handle it" Again, I am almost completely sober at this point. It being over an hour since my first and only drink of the night. I proceeded to cry outside of your establishment. I felt completely profiled and misjudged and was given absolutely ZERO explanation. When a friend confronted management there was nothing done and no one ever spoke to me. I am extremely disappointed in the staff at Lucky Strike. They made me feel unbelievably uncomfortable on a night when I was having the BEST time getting to be a little kid again with my childhood friends in an arcade. Just know I will be telling EVERYONE about this. I work in customer service and entertainment tourism on the big island and I truly value high quality customer service. We came in with 25 people who were ALL spending good money here and we were NOT met with Aloha OR any respect. Btw I got 905 tickets- the most of all my friends- and scored consistently over 40,000 in skeeball soooo. But hey, thanks for the free redbull I guess. read more

Was met at the front desk by Chelsea, i think she was the GM. She gave us a run down of how things worked, game cards, food, bowling etc. We were sat at a nice booth. My little ones had to go to the bathroom and we were so surprised by how clean they were. Even smelled good too which was surprising because we have been to nicer places and the bathrooms are always awful. We were greeted by our server Chauncey, who gave us a rundown of the menu and gave us really good drink and food recommendations. We got the Ahi Katsu roll, Sizzlin steak, and my kids split the chicken Katsu. Food was really good. That steak was amazing! After that we got game cards and walked around. They have so many games, i think it was over 100. All of the games were in good working condition, and when we had a problem, the game tech came right over to fix it so we did not have to wait long at all. He even offered to give the credits back. The hospitality here was amazing! we highly recommend to anyone looking for something to do with kids! read more

5 stars for football fans like me that want to HEAR the game and see many more in a fun active atmosphere. Food- ahi nachos are plentiful! Suggest to order the sauces on the side so your nachos don't get soggy. Dip 'em, mo bettah! Majority of the food I saw coming out is quite large and able to share with 2-3 people if wanting to pupu throughout the games. Compared to the other guys at Ward, I rather like this atmosphere and set up. Reminds me of some of the sport arena in the Las Vegas casinos. Big screen tv's! Lucky strike was an awesome experience. We came for drinks and games and had a great time on back to back nights. Kassie in the bar was an excellent bartender for us and really helped make my brothers 21st week a great time. Her knowledge of drinks is quite impressive and she even served us a special drink that only she can make. The ambiance was great on Friday night with a live DJ. Both times were not too packed and games were readily available. I highly recommend Lucky Strike and visiting Kassie in the bar for drinks! read more

The only reason I am giving this two stars is because the customer service was amazing .... Rating the bowling specifically this is not a place for small children as the balls are light and the lanes are so bumpy and the pins are held on by strings which make them so hard to knock down for kids even with bumpers. The food was pretty good but expensive and they set water at the alley which is a nice gesture. It was too pricy for the bowling area to be like this I would bring my kids back to the arcade but would never pay to bowl here again ! read more

We came here to play games but there's a restaurant inside to dine in. It's similar to Dave and Busters but this was way better. Games are plentiful and spaced out. We went to go eat first. We got seated right away since it wasn't busy when we came. We got a booth. To drink I got a Diet Coke. Our waitress was super nice and funny. She refilled our drinks when she saw them empty. Now that's service! For my entree I got the fish and chips. Our waitress literally brought over my dish hot! I enjoyed my meal because it was hot and fresh. My fish was so light and flaky. I definitely like cod. So good! I only finished the fish. The inside was nice cause air conditioning was keeping us cool. A major plus! I would definitely come back again! Located inside the mall. Walked in and the Host brought us to a dirty booth and left. I'm talking greasy seats, sticky table, crumbs and even 2 dirty dishes still there. I refused to let my Other Half sit and waited for a worker to walk past and asked him to clean the table. He looked visibly annoyed and he turned out to be our server. (I worked in a good # of restaurants and no matter what position HOST/WAITER/BUSSER, we were all ready to help and get our tables clean and ready for the next guest so I don't get why the hostility). I also don't get how the Host can see a dirty table and dirty dishes and still sit us without offering to wipe down the table and take away the plates. Our Waiter's name was Spirit and true to his name he was really our waiter in "spirit" lol. I had to ask for more napkins as the table was still sticky and we were there for a good 1 1/2. While we were there he walked to our table maybe 3-4 times. We happen to see some family also dinning in and they were right next to us but with a different server. They were here longer then us but their service was so much better then ours. Their waiter checked in every 20-30 min even if it's just asking if they're alright or filling up their drinks. Our waiter was standing near the Bar talking to his coworker majority of his time. The Garlic Fries taste like straight oil and was so soggy. the Garlic Wings also just taste like normal Wings and they just threw on Cheese that also tasted like nothing. Quesadilla was okay but there's not much you can mess up on when it comes to that. The only thing my Other Half actually enjoyed was the Milk Shake. Although this place has been open for a few years, yesterday was my first time trying. The NBA playoffs were on, so we were quoted an hour wait. We purchased a game card and went to explore and play some games while we waited. In reality we only waited about 20 minutes, and were sat at a 4 top in the bar area. I ordered the Guava Paradise Cider (it was really good)! I also ordered the Bring the Heat Burger (with side of ranch because I am a basic B, who loves ranch). It was one of the BEST burgers I've had in the last 6 years since I've lived on island! Cooked perfectly (medium), the patty had a nice crisp on the outside and the peppers were nice with a little heat, but not too much. The fries were also excellent, fresh, crispy, hot fries! My boyfriend ordered the Lucky Burger and he said it was really good also. The server was great too! Came back frequently to refill waters and was very efficient. It was me and my families first time here. Apparently they just had a menu change over earlier this week so perfect timing! Was greeted by Chelsea who said she was the GM here. She was the one who explained the new menu to us at first while she walked us to our booth. We ordered the Furikake Salmon, the steakhouse sandwich, and the double smash burger. Food was excellent. My little ones got a cheese pizza that they seemed to really enjoy, they ate the whole thing! We then got game cards from one of the servers Chauncey. Service was awesome and was greatly surprised to see the GM at the front. After food we played games in the arcade. We were told by the guy in redemption area that they have over 100 games in there. He even told us they do half off games Tuesday and Wednesday which is awesome for the middle of the week. All in all this was a great experience and we will be back for sure read more

Way over due on my review on this place but here it is. I made a party reservations for 8/24/19 for my husbands birthday party. Called and also went online to reserved the date ( 8/24/19) Recieved a voicemail that I was told they'll hold it for 24hrs and I'll need to confirm the date and payment within 24hrs to locked the date. I called the very next morning when they first opened, It was NOT 24hrs yet. I wanted to confirm my reservations and make my payment. Spoke with Karla B., I was told the date is no longer available. I was so furious and disappointed, with so little time to look for another venue for the party, I had NO choice than to choose another date which was 8/23/19 instead. I explained to the event manager at the time (Justine P.) that there must be a mistake and it's not right for them to do that to us. She wasn't apologetic or helpful and could care less of what had happened. She didn't even compensate for THE MISTAKE that the staff had made!! She only cared about their sales and NOT the customers. There's no point in saying to customers that "you'll hold the date for 24hrs" only to find out you'll just give it away to SOMEONE else!!!! WARNING: DON'T have your party here!!! We were looking for a place for (late) lunch after walking/shopping and decided on Lucky Strike. We definitely made a good choice. Our server was Rosalind, and all we can say is thank you for the exceptional and excellent service! She made sure we were taken care of very well. Service with a smile and more. Coming here on a Friday night here at Ala Moana catching up with friends is where you found us last night! They are located on the second floor nearest to the Macy's side of the mall and also sharing the same parking lot of Target and the 3rd level food court restaurants (Gen/CPK/MaiTai/Macoroni Grill/Bubba Gump). Being at a mall you'll find lots of parking but if you want a close and short walking distance on a busy weekend night it could be hard. The 1st floor consists of updates and new games with reasonable pricing where you and your family and friends can enjoy!! They also have a restaurant and bar which we took up first. The 2nd floor is where they have their bowling alley where they have an age restriction of 21+ starting at 9pm. Arriving here around 6pm there was no wait time to be seated and the service was fast. I totally forgot the same of our waitress but she was SO EXCELLENT. Her personality was on point and very caring. She listened to our orders and had great suggestions. As for ordering all of the food was fresh and so dang good!!! If you had a group like us of 6 people we shared everything across the table. We ordered the Onion Rings, 2 sets of Sliders and Fries, Spicy Tuna Nachos, Kalua Pork Nachos, Garlic Parmesean Wings, Spicy Tuna Roll, and California Roll. We almost ate everything all except for literally for 3 sliders lol. As for drinks we all drank and everything was so delicious and worth it. From Skinny Rita's, Lilikoi Mojito, Hawaiian Punch, and more and more. It was so fun to just finish up our tab and hit the games after! All the games are up to par with the latest technology. Great for kids to adults! The pricing of game cards to the pricing of the games and the amount of tickets you can win is the best out of all their comparable competitions. This is a review from our experience on 9/06/2024. Please do yourself a favor and SKIP Lucky Strike Honolulu located @ Ala Moana Shopping Center. Absolutely dingy, rude employees with 0 customer service & the business does NOT honor their posted business hours. We came to Lucky Strike to celebrate my birthday and end our night with some fun. The night began good with reservations for the bowling upstairs. Bowling area was fairly small with only 4x lanes but thankfully (& surprisingly) was not busy on a Friday night. Had a fun time bowling for an hour and a half. While the bowling was a blast, the service from bartender was lacking. He dropped off menus but didn't ever come to ask if we actually wanted to order something. We walked to the bar after being there over an hour and asked for some waters. He did nicely bring them to our table for us. After bowling, we went downstairs to play some arcade games. Tons of empty glasses and beer bottles left on game machines, games felt sticky to touch, and quite a few machines were not operable. But we decided to hang and play and make the best of it. This is where the experience truly went sour. Up until this point I could have let all the other issues slide. The business hours posted on the front doors, business website, & yelp all clearly show that for Fridays, hours are: 11:00AM - 1:00AM. So I would love for a manager from this establishment to explain why at 12:51AM the employees decided to turn off all the lights & shutoff all the gaming systems (as we are in the middle of a game) with no notice. Nobody walked around to say hey, just a reminder we're are closing or to see if anyone was even still in the building. In the dark, we frantically grabbed our stuff and tried to find our way out. While walking towards the exit, we ran into a blond middle aged woman staff who followed us out. No greeting, no goodbye, all she loudly and rudely said was "TO THE RIGHT, TO THE RIGHT, TO THE RIGHT" - apparently indicating that she would like us to exit out of the right door. I mentioned that they didn't even give notice about closing and she just condescendingly said that "she didn't see us". It would probably help if they actually walked around to check, no? We were in the middle of the arcade on 4x machines, laughing and clearly still there. After being hurried out (before the business was set to close at 1AM) we quickly realized that in our haste to exit (IN THE DARK), my sister forgot her purse. We ran right back to the front door - before posted closing of 1AM and saw the same blond woman employee through the glass. We kindly asked that we get my sisters purse as it was left in there. The employee rolled her eyes, said they are closed, declined to open the door and just hand signalled through the glass that we should call. Call who? I don't know. I said we just need to get my sister's purse, you guys turned the lights off and we couldn't see. She walked away and didn't care in the slightest. At this point we were all extremely frantic as my sister is leaving the island to go home and obviously needs her purse. After banging on the door and having my sister go to the other entrance, we were able to get the attention of another - local employee, who calmly said that they don't have a purse, it's not business hours and technically we would need to file a police report. Except it was still business hours, the purse was literally left on a machine 2 minutes ago and we only failed to grab it because we were trying to hurry out IN THE DARK. Thankfully the local lady did actually go and find the purse (exactly where we told her it would be). Look, I come from a background in customer service and tourism. I understand the stress and frustration that many of these front line workers must deal with and I give them 100% of the credit for coming in. HOWEVER, the aggression, condescension and lack of any customer service in this establishment was truly appalling. I will never step foot in here again and will be recommending to friends and family that they avoid patronizing this business. This mainland company clearly has NO aloha, NO standards, and NO sense. The place needs a deep clean, a fresh set of staff with adequate training, and should consider adjusting their hours if they can't stay open until their posted time. MAHALO. & FYI I will be calling tomorrow to speak with a manager to notify them of this horrible experience. Unlikely that they'll care given the other negative reviews posted, but I will nonetheless let the manager know. Could you imagine if someone tripped and got hurt because the lights were shut off & patrons are trying to exit in the dark. Sounds like a recipe for a future lawsuit. read more

We were in the Ala Moana shopping center on 1/23/24 around noonish to check out some places to watch the NFL divisional championships on the coming weekend. We were browsing yelp and came across Lucky Strike. From the pictures the menu, food, and environment looked promising. The posted hours on yelp said 11a-12a. We were like oh perfect we are here so let's check it out. We get to the front door and there was no posted opening hours which looked odd. There was a handyman working the front and the door was unlocked, so we walked in. We asked the handyman about reservations and he said you have to talk to the manager. The manager was walking out and said I'm sorry we're closed. We asked about making reservations this weekend for the game and he said it's first come first serve. As we walked towards the dining booth to get a closer look, The guy, or supervisor, or manager, or whoever he was said in a rude way said, I'm sorry. You're gonna have to leave." He wasn't nice about it. At that point we were kind of iffy about coming here. A few hours later, we ended up at Dave and Busters. We saw their layout at the restaurant area and thought this could be an awesome place to watch the game. We inquired about making reservations to watch the game this coming Sunday and they were happy to accommodate. So we made reservations for a large group and now we are set. This Sunday we will be at another place that was very accommodating. read more

This place kinda reminds ya of Dave & Busters, lots of video and virtual games with a bar and food. The games looked like loads of fun. But we came to grab a small bite & a drink to hold us over til dinner. The person at the door didn't explain that in order to sit in the dining area we had to provide a few pieces of personal info (covid rules). So after we seated ourselves we were told we had to go back to the front to provide the info. Lots of restaurants provide touchless menus these days via QR-codes. Which are great. But this spot requires you to provide your phone number after you scan the QR-code and then another code is texted to you that you have to enter to unlock the menu. There was only 1 additional couple at the bar so it wasn't very busy at all. We asked if there were any specials of the day and we were told to view the menu. The specials only consisted of 2 items, fish tacos and a drink, which I personally felt would've taken less time to just tell us then the lengthy QR-code process, considering they weren't busy at all We ordered the fish tacos, the 1 food item listed under "specials". They had no flavor at all. The salsa provided for the chips that came along with the tacos was almost puréed, not chunky salsa, as most restaurants serve traditionally. It also was flavorless. Service wasn't great either. The manager stopped by twice and asked if we were good but we had to look for our server when we were ready for the check; which was given to us by the manager, no server in sight. I only didn't give this spot 1 because the games look fun. If I visit this place again it will be for the game room only. read more

Party central! If you're planning a party with over 8 people, I definitely recommend you come here! They have a party menu you can choose from and it's UNLIMITED refills for those items! We came on Galentine's day to celebrate a birthday. Ordered 4 items: the sliders, veggie spring rolls, gyoza, and mac and cheese bites. We got about 3 rounds of food and it came out to about $35 per person (not including tax) and also comes with unlimited refills for soft drinks (amazing deals!!!) The food was good. They took my advice and brought in better prizes!! I'm not a huge fan of the games, but they kept most of the ones I like. This is a 2 story fun complex in Ala Moana Center. Bottom floor has a slew of modern video games that you activate play with your loaded players card that you can refill at the multiple charge stations throughout the gaming area. There is a restaurant with a long bar and an airy lounging area toward Macy's side/back. The clean open kitchen is there, too. Need to take outside stairs to get to the upper floor. This has the 4-5 lane bowling alley, bar, DJ lounge and another library nook to relax in. The food I saw looked like great portions. The pork nachos are served in a huge tortilla bowl. Got the cauliflower crust veggie pizza. Light and crispy. The california roll was 8 med size morsels. Good taste and size. Overall fun gaming, eating and drinking complex. (They forgot my salad)My husband went to search for the server and he was no where to be found. So we sat another 5 mins staring at our food with our saliva dripping. He finally came around and brought us utensils. The food was "ehhhh". I would say it's still salty, it was the same taste I remembered when I was there two years ago. Pizza was cold, loco moco egg didn't come over easy as requested.. overall a 6/10 for the food. Forget about refills. We didn't get those until we were done eating. The kids were irritated because by now, they couldn't wait to go play games. While the kids played games, I had to wait for boxes and the check. That took another 10 mins. Then at the end, this guy had the audacity to ask for me to put a smiley face ‍ I left an 18% tip because idk if this guy was short staffed, having a bad night, or just sucked. I love this place. The staff are amazing. Many of them are very friendly and attentive. My only complaint is no happy hour. This location is in Hawaii, pau Hana is important in Hawaii. I'm hoping that'll change in the future. If they don't implement happy hour, then stop raising up the drink prices. I don't mind paying but I'd drink more if there are pau Hana prices. I love the vibe here. Food is great also. But seeing that it's Bowlero now, bring the coney mega dog over to Hawaii. read more

I have been to Lucky Strike many times on the mainland and it was time to try the Honolulu establishment. The service and the environment were great, but the food was another story. Chicken and Waffles Definitely the worst dish we had. The chicken was actually chicken wings. Weird...yes. They were not crispy and had like ranch dressing on them. But that wasn't the worst part. There were no waffles. Just strange looking pieces of bread. Almost looked like french toast sticks from a fast food restaurant. The dish made no sense whatsoever and the meat and starch component did not belong on a plate together. Absolutely no cohesiveness. Just bad. Shrimp cups This dish left a bad taste in my mouth....literally. There was a smoky element that started out tasting fine and then it turned bitter after every bite. At first I thought it was me but the wife said she tasted it too. Very strange. Cubano When you think Cuban sandwich you think hot pressed and melty, right? This was neither. The sandwich was stone cold in the center and the cheese was not melted, making it....just a sandwich. I don't think it was meant to come out that way, maybe the kitchen was busy and didn't press it for long enough? Surf and Turf Normally when you think of surf and turf, you are super hungry. This dish did not satisfy. The shrimp was way too spicy. I like spice but I do like to taste the other components of the dish. The meat on the skewers didn't seem like filet mignon. The beef was small and sparse. I tried to save the dish by stacking the meat and shrimp on the bread to make a sandwich but the bread was too soggy to use. Mushroom burger My saving grace! This burger was cooked perfectly and was served piping hot. The patty was the right temperature and the cheese was melted to perfection. The kicker was the sauce....it tasted like red wine was used as a base for this sauce and it was glorious. I instantly felt like this burger made my top ten list for Honolulu. Chocolate insanity Sweet. Gooey. Goodness. Such an amazing dessert. Chocolate chips, chocolate pudding, and chocolate brownies ensure you are digging deeper with each bite to find out what's next. Definitely an addictive dessert. Can't go wrong with this. I wish there were more local dishes on the menu that my family would eat. I would probably hang out here more if there was more food my friends would eat. read more
