Last 3 visit's to to Claremont LUCKY's ... they had zero, zip, nada coffee beans...what is the problem?

Great fresh coffee. Nice accommodating staff. Love their monthly concoctions and love thheir rewards totally recommend it.

I'm so excited to do this review. Lucky coffee roasters is finally open on foothill Boulevard and Claremont Boulevard. Super friendly service wonderful patio it will be even nicer when their umbrellas come in to shade from the sun. They also have free Wi-Fi. So this is going to definitely be my new favorite spot to people watch and enjoy. I got the dirty Donna today it is a dirty chai tea iced latte. It was fantastic absolutely loved it! Quaint place to do school/work, drink some tasty coffee, and catch up with fam and friends. Drink selection is varied; use phone to scan menu; music is touché; bathrooms clean; wifi is good (-) the chairs are super paper thin--rough on the tush (-) inside and outside seating is very limited (-) overly chatty baristas (walls have ears) Overall, pretty good place to come and do your thing! read more

Stopped in after a 5 mile hike at Claremont Loop craving a good coffee. This was our first time here so we had many questions. The sweet girl with pink hair (sorry didn't get her name) was very helpful so 5 stars for her customer service at the register. We ordered 2 coffees and a hot tea with tip close to $20.00. My coffee was very weak and milky so I asked the dark hair girl if she can add an espresso shot. She said yes for $1.50, I was taken aback and then asked if there was another coffee that maybe was a little stronger because mine was very weak. She promptly replied with "you asked for less ice so we added more creamer so if I remake it I'll have to charge you for another coffee". I'm now a little irritated with her lack of customer service. I kept my drink as I had already spent $20.00 and was not about to pay more. Live and learn, the other drinks were also weak so we all agreed we would not come back. read more

Lucky's is fantastic. This is their new location, and my partner (who owns a coffee roasting company) LOVES their lattes. Right now there's no indoor seating due to Covid, but there is outdoor seating. I personally enjoy their flavored lattes half sweet, but my FAVORITE is their matcha rose latte that has rose petals on top of it. Not only is the latte art gorgeous, but when I get it half sweet it is the perfect balance of grassy, earthy matcha and floral notes and creaminess. Only get it if you like REAL matcha, because it's made with matcha and the traditional whisk. It's amazing. The chai latte is a bit sweet for me, but only because I prefer mine to be spicy chai and this is a very sweet chai. read more

I am so glad that there is a Lucky's Coffee Roasters in my hometown - and better yet, that it replaced a Starbucks! I've been to the Upland branch of Lucky's a couple of times and it was a great experience. Pretty much the same can be said of this Lucky's, where the baristas were again kind and helpful. I ordered an Ethiopian Sakicha pour over from here, and it was delicious. I might/will be making some additional stops here whenever I am here. I've lived and worked in Claremont over a decade and have never left a negative review for anyone but I am so disappointed I have to spare you. Very limited options so I tried something new. The espresso Mule tasted like soy sauce. I kindly asked to add milk they refused. I kindly asked to add sugar they also refused. I was lucky enough to get them to add simple syrup and it still tasted nasty but the fact that they were so rude from order to finish was the most disappointing part. Such a good space and they filled it with patio furniture so you can't even sit there and enjoy.Overpriced waste of space. read more

I was very disappointed by the coffee order I made. When I went in, I asked for a recommendation on a refreshing drink. The employee recommended the lemon squeezy and vouched that while an espresso and lemonade combination does not sound tasteful, they had worked for many weeks on the a recipe which they had perfected. I decided to try it and without exaggerating found it to be the most disgusting caffeinated beverage I have ever ordered at a cafe. It was terrible! I was so happy to have a new coffee shop down the street so I left a few minutes early one Saturday morning to grab a quick coffee. I ordered a drip coffee because I didn't want to wait for an espresso. They were all out of drip so they had to brew more. This was surprising to me because literally all they do is coffee. Usually as soon as the drip coffee is gone, it is refilled. But Lucky's waits for the next unlucky customer to order drip coffee to THEN begin refilling it. After waiting 10 minutes, I was late. I asked them for a refund because I had to leave and couldn't wait for the entire pot to brew. They told me they could tilt the pot for my 12 ounces of coffee, so they gave me my reusable cup back filled to brim so that I couldn't put the lid on, and dripping in coffee on the outside. I had to ask for a napkin. This was the most ridiculous and unlucky cup of coffee I've had in a while. The coffee was pretty decent though, and at least the ladies working didn't give me a hard time (but did not apologize). Tip to the management: train employees to start refilling the coffee pot as soon as it is empty. read more

I am a coffee addict... I've tried every coffee shop in Claremont and I came across this newly opened coffee shop. Every time I try a new coffee shop I go for a iced vanilla latte with oat milk. Let me tell you, I'm very impressed by the flavor of their beans. The milk doesn't override the espresso flavor and the vanilla wasn't too sweet. Overall I'll rate this a 9/10. For having Roasters in their name, more often than not they are out of bags of coffee. I'll come in and they'll say tomorrow, come back the next day and I get the same response. This has personally happened to me on multiple occasions. Please figure out a way to keep up with your demand, and stop telling customers things that just are not true. The beans we buy are actually pretty good, not sure why their drinks aren't as great. Their cold brew tastes stale and watered down. Info have to say that some of their more custom/seasonal drinks are pretty good, and their baristas have mostly been nice and attentive. read more

A long time customer here, can say being around since they first open. The drink is great as usual; however, this Lucky location becomes less and less generous, sometimes careless of specific orders. Maybe it's inflation, maybe it's summer time, college students not back yet, hope the good Lucky will come back soon. read more

I usually frequent the Upland location, but decided to come support their new Claremont store. I absolutely love their April Kisses latte with oat milk! But I've tried many other drinks here and they've all been great. They always have a fun seasonal menu. Parking is easy and they have a lot of outdoor space, which is nice. read more

The management/owner(Tyler smith) does not take allergic reactions seriously!! As a manager myself, this general manager is unprofessional and not responsive! You're lucky I didn't have a death threatening case. Please display all your ingredients on the menu so people actually know what they're consuming in their bodies!!!! read more

I don't know what other people see in this place, but I was not impressed by the drip coffee I ordered Sunday morning. Went in for the first time since they opened and by all the great reviews I was hoping it would become my go to place, but after I tasted the coffee, it just wasn't a good cup of coffee.
