It was my first time here! After browsing at the thrift shop nearby, I decided to make a pit stop for boba. When I pulled up into the parking lot, it was a bit of a tight squeeze. The drivers here are a bit careless and don't check their blind spots. Be careful when coming in and out. I came inside and was immediately pleasantly surprised. The decor inside is super cute, super modern, and very hipster. I really liked everything they had on their walls and on their shelves. They also had very nice board games that camouflaged as books! I loved their little calendar and the used coffee candles, too. I had walked and was warmly greeted by Kaylene. She had pointed out the closeup menu for me to look at, too. I settled for an Ember Owl Milk Tea and their Lychee Oolong Tea with boba. I took a seat and checked out their shop as I waited for my drinks. The art was very cute and I loved their mirror in the front. They have very chic furniture to sit on with very nice tables. I sat on their bench and David, who had made my drinks, offered a drink carrier. I really enjoyed their ember owl milk tea; it has a crème brûlée top which was delicious when I mixed it with my tea. Their lychee oolong was typical and just as expected; it also came with lychee jelly. What I was surprised about was their boba, which was incredibly soft. It's a texture I wasn't used to, but it didn't make it bad. I wonder how they got their boba that soft unless it's handmade. It's not much of a chew and it's easy to swallow. They've been open since December of last year and I'm surprised I haven't been before. I'd love to come back to try out their different lattes!

Not only that, but the interior is very nice and cozy, as a coffee shop should be. I'd recommend this spot to anyone who wants to try great coffee!

We are on a coffee hunt so we have been trying out a bunch of places all around the IE and some parts of LA that cross over, iykyk. Their lychee drink was soo good and honestly what made up for the other drink. It was perfectly sweet and the jelly was good too! We got their honey cinnamon coffee and their hojicha with cloud tops and honestly i was so disappointed. The cloud top just tasted like whip cream and had no flavor :( it seems like they just mix their heavy cream and call it a day. It's wayyyy too thick. I hardly tasted anything, i think maybe if it was more concentrated or honestly a different brand I'd probably like it more. The coffee was very milky and not strong at all. It seem like they might be better off going to a boba shop sort of route rather than a coffee shop. Absolutely love coming here! This location replaced a boba shop..what a major upgrade. This is one of my favorite coffee shops, and I've been to a lot. Parking is not hard. Inside vibe is modern and chill. There is WiFi available and a couple tables for studying/working. Also an area to chill and enjoy your drink. I've tried a couple of their drinks my favorite is the Dirty Thai tea. It's Thai milk tea, condensed milk, espresso, and coffee jelly. Sometimes I get an extra shot of espresso. They give you the options of exchanging the coffee jelly to something else which is cool because not a lot of places let you substitute. This drink is so good it's gone by the time I drive home. Service is always excellent, top-notch. As busy as they are you're always greeted with warm smile, even with lots of customers they work fast to get you your order. Love the efficiency especially when I'm in a rush. This place deserves more than 5 stars.

The service was very friendly and they were so attentive. I tried the Tiramiss-U Latte which was one of their Valentine's special drinks. It was a tad bit too sweet for me and I wish I could taste more of the espresso but I still enjoyed it.
Easy to order, informative barista that helped us make our choices, super cute interior with plenty of seating, and most importantly - our food and drinks were delicious!! Lots of parking, many food options (sweet and savory) and truly a drink option for everyone. So happy we have this in Upland - will definitely be back.
Just opened on 1/2/25 and I've gone here back to back! This Blueberry Dream Latte tastes like a blueberry crumble muffin in a cup; DELICIOUS. Came back the following day for a simple Spanish Latte and it was mouth watering. Employees are friendly and the pace is clean, comfy, and relaxed. They have a few games available as well. Support the owners mom at Riceberry Thai also!
Wake Cafe is such a gem. Their coffee looks beautifully curated, but the service is always fast -- way quicker than most pop‑ups. The Honey Oak Latte is my favorite, and the vibes and décor make the space super inviting. Their pastries look amazing, and the spinach feta pie blew me away. It's packed with spinach and tastes genuinely homemade which is rare compared to other places. I can't wait to try the rest, especially the blueberry cream and the matcha latte. I'll definitely keep supporting this spot. Must try otherwise you are missing out!!!!!

Cute place! I tried the Honey cinnamon cloud and my daughter had the strawberry lemonade. Both delicious. My daughter said hers was "refreshing " as well. We also split a blueberry vanilla muffin. We demolished before I remembered to take a picture . We'll def be back. read more
I didn't go in, not sure if they are dog friendly, but there was a small one table seating for two outside. From what I can see from the window, there is seating inside and it was busy on a Saturday morning, but the line moved pretty quickly. I really enjoyed my Spanish iced latte. I got it half sweet. This is a really cute cafe for studying! The seats are very comfy with padding. There are outlets at most the tables and free wifi. It's not too loud in here and they play non-lyrical music. I ordered their new cinnamon cloud latte with less ice. it's a little on the sweet side but still very yummy. the workers here are extremely sweet too. they brought the drink to my table when it was ready. Wake me up before you go go unless you're planning on going solo! Wake me up before you go go cause I don't wanna miss that high! Boba shop turned cafe and I just have to say it looks like it's gonna stay! I ordered a couple of their drinks that caught my eye besides all the others, LoL. First up was their Nocturnal which was a Hojicha and espresso mix that had a vanilla cream top with honey. Mmm so so good! And I really don't order cream tops! Next was their Night Owl which was a Matcha and espresso blend topped with pink salt and cocoa nibs. Dayuuum! Another winner. Ok so after this I was doing the Jitterbug! Because it put a Boom Boom into my heart and it sent my soul sky high with the caffeine start! The service was good and the shop is super cute with plenty of two seaters. Love this place! Not a lot of cafes in the area of Rancho-Upland-Ontario-Montclair so it was nice experiencing this place! Their energy is real calm and comfy, in which I'd be down to study and make art here :). I ordered the "fire owl" with an add shot and whole milk. It was awesome! I love my coffee strong and with the sweetener collaborated with the espresso very nicely. I also wanted to mention how nice the staff was. Cute new(to me) cafe in upland! The decor is super cute. I thought they served food but not sure if it's until a certain time. They have a lot to pick from! Wow!! The blueberry dream latte is absolutely delicious!! My husband got the Spanish Latte half sweet and that was so good as well!! We also ordered a ham and cheese croissant and an orange cranberry scone, delicious!!!! Service was super nice and attentive. We ordered our drinks and the cashier brought us our drinks and pastries to our table. She was very attentive :) The place is very clean and modern looking but very cozy! I honestly had to stop coming in here so often because I'm positive the employees would've started recognizing me. I am OBSESSED with the iced Blueberry Dream Latte. I'm so picky about matcha and so many places make theirs too milky/weak, too grainy, etc., but Wake Cafe's is so good! It's so smooth! It feels like the kindest people in the world work here. The employees are so helpful and friendly :) There's also a lot of seating for you to sit on and chat, wait for your order, or get some work done. Thank you Wake Cafe for being my go-to!!! read more
Wake Cafe is a nice coffee shop near my family's home. The flavor of the matcha was strong and authentic, not like the fake powdery stuff. The flavor is also strong and not watered down by milk or other substitutes. The pastry was also yummy. We got the mushroom tart, cranberry scone and chocolate croissant. All were warm and delish! The service is what makes my family keep coming back. From the cashier to the baristas, everyone was so welcoming and asked if they could help us with anything. It is because of this excellent service that we will frequent this cafe instead of other big store coffee shops. read more

I got here on a Monday around 2:30 pm hoping to work done, but they close at 3 pm on weekdays. I ordered a Spanish latte which was exactly what I needed on this chilly day. It was hot, creamy, and not too sweet. Next time I'll make sure to come in earlier. :) they have a nice mix of seating - bar style seating, lounge like seating, and tables to comfortably set up your laptop (the one I chose had outlets next to it). They offer guest WiFi so I'm hopeful this is going to be one of my go-to work spots. The staff was friendly, too! read more

Wake cafe is my favorite cafe ever, their drinks never miss. My favorites are their matcha on cloud and biscoff latte. Anything with their vanilla cream top is good. Their service is always extremely friendly and the owners are so sweet. They even kindly gifted me a free slice of lemon loaf bread one morning because I come so often. PS try the tiramisu latte & fall in love latte from the Valentine's Day menu while it lasts! read more

I had just done with an interview and I wanted some coffee after and this place popped up . I saw the high ratings for this place and the aesthetic looked cute so I said why not . When I walked in i was greeted and I scanned over the menu and I was amazed about how many options they had . They had options you wouldn't typically find at a traditional cafe or coffee shop such as a Thai lemonade which included Thai tea and lemonade . I also enjoyed how they have different flavored syrups such as peach mango and even agave . I decided on the ice mocha drink and I got a turkey and cheese croissant and a lemon poppyseed loaf . The drink was really good it had just the right amount of sweetness and the turkey croissant was really good as well . The lemon poppyseed loaf was really good as well . Overall the service at the coffee shop was super sweet and the Gil working the register was so kind . I will definitely make this place a part of my regular coffee shop rotation read more
