Definitely a disappointing visit. The Steak came out charred so black. The food was cold. Service was awful. No management was present . No one cared that my wife sent back all her food. Then I called management the following day. The General manager Don she made excuses for everything that was wrong and eventually hung the phone up in my face.... Maybe they need to work out the kinks. I ordered a ribeye steak, and received a prime rib with grill marks. When I questioned the wait staff...I was told they had to use up the lunch prime rib before starting the steaks, Uh WHAT? Went back again to give them another chance. Plates and silverware was dirty. Great service, pleasant discussion of menu items. I'm not gluten intolerant - large amounts don't agree with me. The steak was properly cooked (medium rare). I declined the seasonings and the sauce to avoid wheat but have been doing that at most restaurants to keep the salt intake down. Still a great taste and tender. They did not offer steak sauce - a sign they are confident in the quality of their steaks. My wife got the Maryland Crab Cakes and considered them good. We have eaten at the peer in Baltimore so "good" is quite a compliment. read more

The are entrées good and reasonably-priced but they need to iron out the service and sides a little. I saw them building this place so for months I was looking forward to trying out this steakhouse. We got there a week or so after they opened and it was packed! We had to wait 20 minutes so I figured that was a good sign. Our server forgot our utensils but I chalked it up to her being rushed. The Gorgonzola Ribeye was excellent! And huge. However, the mushrooms that it came with had one bad one; it was very dark and incredibly salty. Because I'm stupid I tried another mushroom and it was really bland. It was just the one that was gross and the rest were underseasoned. The next time we visited, they forgot our utensils again. This time our server blamed the hostess, which is in poor taste. Don't hand out excuses; just give me the utensils and apologize. The salad was overdressed so ask for the dressing on the side. And why add cheese? The Monterey Chicken was perfectly cooked and also huge. And I should add that the bread they bring you to start with is really nice; crispy crust and chewy crumb! Another thing that bothers me is the layout. You can tell that they are trying to squeeze as many tables in there as possible when you're rubbing elbows with your neighbor. And I have never been to a steakhouse with so many TVs; it is more like a casual family restaurant or sports bar. Lastly there is a very sharp corner next to a sort of narrow walkway in the dining room. Every time an employee is coming around, they have to say, "Corner!" or else risk bumping into a customer and spill food or drink. Freezing cold inside everyone in the restaurant was all wearing their jackets while eating! We did tell our waitess but she did nothing about I'm not sure if it was broke or they were just being cheap to put it on! The food was horrible and will not return we got the big porterhouse 28 ounce steak it was flavorless, dry and it almost tasted like it was boiled! We visited on August 5 to give this new Lucky's location a try. Our waiter was either very new to service or overdue for a different line of work, as this was one of the poorest experiences we've ever had with wait staff in terms of attitude, attentiveness, and competence. We had no cutlery or napkins, and a stranger at a nearby table eventually went to get some for both our tables as our shared waiter still hadn't noticed after taking orders and bringing bread. Although it seemed to pain him to do so, he put in our ticket for two beers, an appetizer, and an entree for sharing, the house specialty Lucky's Prime Time steak. The signature Lucky's bread that comes complimentary with all meals was under baked and doughy as if rushed out of the oven. The beers took longer than average to arrive, but it was a Saturday so we shrugged that off. The blooming onion appetizer wasn't cut properly and was only fried enough to just hold together, resulting in a pale soggy coating that separated in big greasy chunks. Someone else delivered the steak and did not ask us to cut into it upon arrival. It was loaded with gristle and fat that the kitchen apparently tried to hide under a blanket of lukewarm cheese and vegetables. By the time our waiter came around again (barely feigning interest in our satisfaction) we were just ready for the fiasco to be over. He never offered to get us water or another beer, nor did he comment on the fact that most of the steak was still on the plate when he cleared it. His interactions with us were curt and dripping with boredom, and he willfully ignored us while chatting up another table as he delivered our final bill. In hindsight we really should have asked to speak with the manager, but our mood was so soured we just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. We stopped going to the Bay City Lucky's location some time ago as it felt like no one really cared about the quality of the meals or dining experience. It seemed to be all about packing people in who were there for huge amounts of mediocre food on the cheap. We now wish we'd trusted our instincts and skipped the Midland restaurant too. If you just want a big portion of underwhelming, ill-prepared food to get a "good value," than you might enjoy it here. If you want a great meal and pleasant attentive staff, there are much better Midland restaurants to give your business. read more

I wanted to give a 1.5 stars but that wasn't an option so I rounded up. I ordered the Maryland Chicken and a wedge salad.. the giant! I was excited until I tried it. The blue cheese dressing tasted like mayo with cheese added to it. I couldn't eat it. :( Then, the entree came. He shrimp that was suppose to come with it was those little can shrimped mixed in with kind of a dressing mush. I think there was suppose to be crab in there but the risk was to great. Decided to move it to the side. Chicken was good and large portion. I got a side of asparagus. There was a garlic sauce covering it. Now I love garlic but I couldn't eat it! Way to much garlic!!!! And, I ordered ice tea. Either they aren't cleaning out the tea container or the tea was old. :( So why did I give the 2 stars instead of 1! I had a great waitress! I actually felt sorry for her having to serve this food. 'Bless her heart' is what comes to my southern mind. To sum it up, good service, large portions but bad taste. This was my second time and I can almost certainly say I won't be back. First time we were seated at the back of the restaurant in a booth. The restaurant was quite full and we literally had to squeeze between tables to get to the booth...the floor plan is very poorly laid out. Our second visit had us seated at a table right at the entrance to the dining area. Needless to say everyone coming into or out of the restaurant had to walk directly by our table. Plus one seat at our table could not be used because the person at the next table would have been hit every time we moved our seat in or out. As I said before, the floor plan is extremely bad. They need to do something about the insect issue. I read another review who had problems and we had a pesky fly that wouldn't leave our table, very annoying. Now for the food. On our first visit I had the pecan crusted chicken salad and it was quite good. Large portion so I had some for the next day also. The second trip I had crab. Nothing to write home about and the side of mushrooms were bland. Hubby had the filet mignon and he said it was good. Another person in our party had the Maryland chicken and she too said it was good. We enjoyed the warm bread at the beginning of the meal but overall I wouldn't say the food was so good to overlook the seating experience. Having people hit the table or our seats as they enter or exit the restaurant was a definite turn off. The wine list is decent enough but I'm not sure how informed the staff is for making suggestions as I knew what I wanted. If they can rearrange the tables to create a better flow of traffic it would definitely make the dining experience more enjoyable. Until then I will look for other establishments which take the comfort of their customers into account. read more

We were told 45 minute wait and they would text when our table was ready. We checked back in an hour and they said they didn't have my name down which I seen on their paper crossed off. The young kid just said "my bad", what really was bad was the "manager" was standing right there, did not even look up or apologize, unfortunately after the pandemic the food is mediocre and the drinks are definitely weaker than before. This place seems like a bit of a hit or miss - we had a good experience here nonetheless. Came for my boyfriend's birthday and I was pleased to pick up the tab that totaled less than 60$ before tip - this is a great place to come for a special occasion especially if you are on a budget. We ordered the calamari (7.99) to start and it came out promptly, nice and crunchy but not overly battered. I wonder if they make it fresh or if it is frozen. I couldn't tell the difference. I also had a decent glass of NZ sav Blanc for 6.95 For dinner, I had the Maryland chicken which very good. The chicken was smothered with shrimp, crabmeat and lobster cream sauce. We were served a huge portion of chicken and it came with asparagus and a side salad, as well as a side dish of choice (I chose broccoli) everything was cooked perfectly and it was 10.99 - I'm assuming it was imitation crab and canned shrimp for a price that low..... We also ordered the prime rib with lobster for 23.95, which was a little too fatty for my taste but still good. The service was a little slow, but good - the main issue we had was how long it took the food to come out. We sat there for probably 25 minutes after finishing our calamari. Although one could argue it's better than feeling rushed. We will most likely return. read more

We chose Lucky's in Midland because it was a little closer for us than Bay City. Was at the Bay City Lucky's about three years ago and ordered the Alaskan Snow Crab Legs. Very large portions of crab legs for less than the price of Red Lobster. When we arrived to the Lucky's in Midland at about 2:00 pm it was not busy at all and we were seated right away. My daughters both were set on having the crab legs but were disappointed to see that they were no longer on the menu. The wedge salad was good but a bit too salty for my liking, maybe I'll order it without the bacon bits next time. My mushroom and Swiss burger was excellent but next time I'll skip the shoestring fries. Overall we had a good experience and we'll probably go back to the Midland location. Please bring back the crab legs! read more

Tonight we went out for date night, Brittany our server, was very personable and pleasant to talk with. The food was amazing! We shared the ribeye and shrimp and crab cakes entrees. The steak was cooked perfectly and could possibly be compared to some of the best steaks I have ever had. Our calamari appetizer was a large portion with great flavors for only eight dollars. We also shared a great bottle of Cabernet. I'd strongly recommend this steak house. After a tasty appetizer, salads, soup, two full size/beautiful entrees and a bottle of wine our bill was only $72. My son and I were visiting Midland and the locals recommend this family restaurant. Nice place with good food and great prices! A fresh baguette was served warm while we perused the menu. We splurged on prime rib and lobster. The 12 oz prime rib was perfectly seasoned but we ordered it to be cooked "medium". Unfortunately the center was bloody, not medium but closer to rare! The cold water lobster was grilled and served with drawn butter. Absolutely delicious! The asparagus side was cooked til tender with a nice cheese sauce. The baked potato was huge and served with butter and sour cream on the side. Service was friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area. read more

We have tried Lucky's a few times and have been disappointed every time. Today we went mid-afternoon and there were only 2 tables in there. We were seated in a corner which was ok but then they sat another table with a noisy little kid right next to us. So much for a quiet meal. My husband's coconut shrimp was good he said but they brought out the wrong side with it. I ordered the filet (medium rare) and shrimp scampi. The scampi was tough and tasteless and the steak was overcooked. I told the waitress it was and she proceeded to argue with me saying that it had some pink in it. I told her medium rare was warm red center. She finally asked if I wanted her to take it back and get a new one. I declined because we just wanted to get out of the noise. When we were there this summer, there were so many flies we couldn't keep them off of our food. We said something and were told, yeah we have the patio doors open. ok then. I kind of doubt we will go again which is sad since I had high hopes for this restaurant. read more

Went on a Thursday night at 5:30. Immediately seated. Waitress was okay, not great. We had to ask for water and drink refills, etc. porterhouse steak was ordered MR and edges were well. "Don't worry, the closer to the bone you get it will be medium rare!" Ordered beans with almond slivers for a side. Beans were loaded with a peppery garlic seasoning, with four almond slivers. Menu did not mention the garlic, neither did the waitress. When I asked about it, waitress took about a minute before offering another side, which I refused...to no avail.
