This is my neighborhood nail salon and I go to Nancy who does great work. She does my gel manicure and pedicure and trust me It last a month and always looks nice. She is quiet but she is the only one that can put hands on my feet and nails. On the plus ,I work 16 hours sometimes and let me tell you she can crack some toes and get that stress off your legs

I loved my gel manicure and pedicure! I was a little wary because of the lower reviews, but the location is super convenient so I decided to try it out. I called for an appointment, and I'm glad that I did because while there were a lot of walk ins, it got pretty busy towards 4:30 PM on a Friday, so I think there might have been a wait. My pedicure was super thorough and nice. Hannah did a great job! I really like their massage chairs. They seemed a little nicer than the average ones at nail salons. My manicure was also good.

Went here on my lunch break for a gel manicure. My nails turned out fine, and the lady who did them was very nice, but the polish ends far before it reaches my cuticle on most of the nails. (see photos) While I was there, one of the manicurists was cracking open and eating sunflower seeds (or something of the sort) the entire time from one of the pedicure chairs, which was pretty disgusting and distracting. Overall, I would go back if I needed a quick manicure by my office, but it's definitely not any sort of luxury experience.

I got a toe nail fungus from this nasty salon! I will have it for the rest of my life!

In response to the owner who is "blaming the victim" regarding the toenail fungus I got from this place: I am well informed of how onychomycosis is contracted as I am a licensed physician. Unequivocally I contracted this fungus from this nail salon, beyond a reasonable doubt if you would like the evidence. The very nails that were painful immediately after the pedicure lifted from the nail bed and became thick and yellow within 1-2 weeks after the pedicure. I work 80-100 hours per week and do not engage in locker-room or public gym showers or other such other activities that the owner claimed I must have participated in. I waited 10 months to write the review because I spend most of my time treating sick patients with cancer which obviously takes priority. Happy to bring my receipts from your salon as well as my husband who is a practicing lawyer and who is my witness. How to you suggest that I provide evidence that I haven't been to any other nail salon for a pedicure ? I cannot bring my entire bank statement from the past year so what is your suggestion? Happy to meet with you to work out an agreement - only if you are amenable to actually working something out.

Deep red gel manicure by Jade. Luv it!

I came to this place after spending the afternoon visiting my friend nearby Chinatown. I picked this location because my friend recommended it. The business appears to be relatively new and appears to offer massages besides nail services. I got a gel manicure by Jade and it was wonderful. Jade was meticulously about cutting my cuticles and nails. Jade was knowledgeable about nail colors and products. She recommended the perfect red color tone since I told her that I was going out to party that night. She even put sunscreen on my hands before the UV rays. Jade was considerate and professional throughout the whole appointment. The total cost was only $30 with the special offering. Overall, the business is very clean and friendly. The atmosphere is bright and fun. The ladies are extremely hygienic and nice. The owner offered me water when I came into the store. Overall, I would highly recommend this business to others.

TERRIBLE! Please save your money and do not go here. I got a fill in less than a week ago and 4 of the nails have already broke off. The nails are very weak and break very easily. I paid $45 plus tip just to have to remove my nails less than a week later plus the gel started chipping a day after getting them. They do have a 2 week policy for gel but still, I should not have to go out of my way to fix my nails. This is the problem with DMV nail places, they love to charge you an arm and leg but do a cheap job. I will not be returning, please save your time and money and find another nail place.

This was my first time here. I found the place clean and staff professional. I was taken up stairs for a pedicure. I notice that Hanna who did my pedicure took much interest in her work. She opened a new package of nail clips, file, etc., which I wondered if this is done for all customers. Either way I like the sterilization process. I received gel pedicure and a foot massage. All in all, I am satisfied. The cost $60.00. The only concern, I was asked to walk up a flight of stairs without someone asking me if I was able. Luckily my knees were on their best behavior. The price... well .... I paid for what I wanted. But this will not be a biweekly visit.

Lucy is the best! Look how beautiful!

I have been going to Lucy's for more than two years. They are always clean, do a great job, and professional. They take appointments day of or walkins and genuinely care about their customers. Lucy herself is the best and always makes it enjoyable experience at the nail salon. I love going here! Seriously you have to go!

I also understand why my appointment needed to be rescheduled. My issue is not with the policy, it's with how I was treated. I was made to feel like an inconvenience from the moment I walked into the salon. I had a 12:45 p.m. appointment and called before leaving home to let the salon know I was running about 10 minutes late, which is their stated grace period. The receptionist told me she would let Sera know. At 12:56 p.m., when I was literally one minute away from the salon, I received a call saying Sera could no longer see me because I was late, and she had back-to-back clients. While I was disappointed, I understood. I asked if I could still come in briefly to speak with Sera because I wasn't even sure I needed a full highlight service, and the receptionist agreed. When I arrived, Sera immediately told me I needed to reschedule and seemed unwilling to discuss my hair beyond commenting that the back was "really dark" and explaining that she had returning clients scheduled after me. She didn't seem to know or care that I was a returning client. Sera had done my hair in February, and I came back because I had really liked her work. Not recognizing me in and of itself is not a big problem--I know a lot of people sit in her chair--but it made the interaction feel impersonal and left me wondering if she'd even prepared for my appointment. I was fully prepared to work with Sera and the receptionist to find another date and time that fit both of our schedules. Instead, both were unhelpful, dismissive, and rude. This experience was especially difficult because I have pretty severe alopecia areata that, thankfully, is now well controlled with medication, allowing me to grow most of my hair back. That said, I wore a wig for five years after losing most of my hair, so finding a stylist I trust is still an incredibly vulnerable and anxiety-producing experience. Every time I see someone new, I have to explain my hair loss and why I prefer a lived-in color that doesn't require overly frequent trips to the salon. I chose to return to Sera because I thought I had found someone I could continue seeing. Instead, I left feeling embarrassed, dismissed, and genuinely upset. I walked out of the salon, called my husband, and cried like a reprimanded little girl. I am a 35-year-old grown-ass woman. Policies are important, and I respect them. Kindness and professionalism are just as important. Had the situation been handled with empathy and respect, I would have happily rescheduled. Instead, I left feeling less like a person and more like a time slot or a dollar sign. It seems like Sera may have enough clients that turning one away isn't a big deal, but I was respectful, cooperative, and ready to work with her to find another appointment. I deserved that same courtesy and respect in return.

Over the past five years, I have regularly visited Japanese hair salons in Los Angeles, New York City, and Boston while traveling frequently. In those experiences, even when a haircut did not fully match my preferred style or length, the technical quality was consistently strong, and any adjustments were handled professionally. Unfortunately, this experience was very different. One of the defining characteristics of a Japanese haircut is the smoothness, softness, precision, and careful organization of the layers. In my case, the cut lacked those qualities and appeared uneven and poorly structured (the photo from the back). I was also disappointed by the salon's management. Based on my experience, the overall operation and quality control did not reflect the standards typically associated with Japanese salons. Update (May 2026): Over the past 4 years, I have been with my Japanese hair stylist in New York. I returned to the salon to see Keiko because I was hoping to find a long-term stylist in Washington, DC. I had not had my haircut for 7 months prior to that because I delivered a baby in December 2025. Ozuki appeared to be one of the few salons in the area offering Japanese hairstylists. Immediately after the appointment, the haircut looked good due to the styling and blow-dry. However, within a few days, the shape became difficult to manage and appeared increasingly unstructured. The photo on my ID, taken approximately three weeks after the haircut, reflects how the cut settled over time. In contrast, the Japanese haircuts I have received elsewhere typically maintain their shape and balance for several months. Despite my concerns, I scheduled another appointment six weeks after the first haircut with Keiko because I genuinely hoped the issues could be corrected and that I could establish a relationship with a local stylist. At the same time, I let the management know that my haircut had bad form and hope that it can be resolved at the second appointment. Unfortunately, my interactions with management, Liz, were once again disappointing. Rather than addressing the concerns constructively, the response left me with little confidence that the salon could deliver the level of quality I was seeking. This is the first Japanese salon where I have repeatedly had unsatisfactory experiences. Based on the consistency of those experiences, I am not convinced that the salon operates at the standard typically associated with Japanese hairstyling.

If you're suffering from hair loss, hair damages, dermatitis, and scalp issues, book someone certified to not just style your hair but customize the right care for your hair. Sonya did just that and she was sweet, understanding, not scornful of my hair condition, and really made a dull hair shine again. As someone battling dermatitis, I booked a cut, moisture hydration treatment, and scalp exfoliating detox masks and honey...this service was just what I needed. Sonya carefully explained everything to me from things do refrain from if my scalp became flared and how to manage it in between.
