My wife and I were so excited to try this place as we were both craving a great burger. We were seated and greeted.. The waitress asked if this was our first time in... Which we told her it was, or first time... She explained the menu and we each ordered a cheeseburger and fries. When the burger arrived... I was already disappointed the bun was dry and hard... My first bite was even more disappointing... There was nothing juicy about this dried out hockey puck... The cheese was on top and no cheese in the middle. If I ever ate at McDonald's or Burger King... This is the burger I would imagine it would be like. Needless to say... It was a huge waste of money and the fries were no better. My recommendation... Walk down to Post Oak and have some great BbQ... This place is the worst... The worst burger in Denver.... Shake Shack has better burgers than this place. Zero stars!!!! Good concept horrible execution. Ordered take out had to wait over an hour and they had the audacity to sneak a take out fee into the bill. Regular Burger was mediocre and dry. Ordered a Juicy Lucy for me and wife just ordered a regular burger. shared some fries. burgers came out and i unwrapped mine and there was some cheese drippage on the wax paper they served it in that had leaked out of the burger. i took a small bite, as advised to do by the little "eating tips" they give you, i expected a river of cheese to come out but it was just beef. i took a bigger bite. still nothing. bit all the way in and there was a hollow spot where the cheese had been but it had all leaked out onto the paper. the burger itself was pretty good but nothing special and it was totally dry inside. And then $14 for kind of underwhelming burger with no fries included was disappointing. the fries were good, as were the grilled onions topping the burger. maybe i just got a dud but for the price, it was not worth it. a juicy lucy, a regular burger, half order of fries, a bottle of coke and a Montucky Cold Snack beer were over $45 after tax and tip. for me, there are other places i'd go to for a burger over this place. read more

Coming from someone who is from Minnesota, this is a solid mimic of a Jucy Lucy. However, not enough cheese. The fries are meh. I got double cheeseburger second time hoping for a better experience. The cheese was almost non-existent. I say "almost" because primarily it was all over the wrapping. Again, not enough cheese. Maybe they should use proper containers or foil like five guys. I would have given this 4 if priced adequately, but I just spent $26 after tip and a "to go" 10% charge for a double cheese burger and a HALF ORDER of fries. The 10% charge is for paper wrapping. Insane they would charge this. I picked up the to-go from the actual cook as the waiter was too busy doing nothing. I really would give this zero stars for the value and 4 stars for the burger. Sorry, will not be back. I have been meaning to try Lucys out for a while now. I went in and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff, couldn't help but notice the cleanliness of the place. The menu was really straightforward and of course the Juicy Lucy came recommended. So, that's what I went with - my dining companion had a cheeseburger and both of us felt that these were some damn tasty burgers. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. In reading other 5 star reviews, I would have to say that my experience was consistent with those that I read. We ordered a juicy lucy, a cheeseburger, and large fries to-go and were quoted a 10-15 minute wait until our order was ready. We live close so we were there within 8-10 minutes. We opened up the fries as a snack on the drive back and they were basically cold, limp, greasy potato noodles. For the price, the burgers are pretty small and reminded us quite a lot of Burger King, only without the sesame seed bun. The juicy lucy was kind of fun, with a cute sticker like other people mentioned, but my cheeseburger was very dry and was wrapped so that all of the cheese was stuck to the paper wrapping instead of the meat. I read about this new burger place and after what I saw I had to give it a try. So many burger restaurants today get all their flavor from the toppings, but I am a strict beef/cheese/bun aficionado, so many of those other places have completely bland burgers when reduced to those three elements. I drove down to Lucy's and was greeted by the owner, Michelle McGlone, and she was as friendly and sweet as could be. It was clear she very deeply cares about getting this place off the ground as a labor of love. I got a Juicy Lucy and a half order of fries, at her suggestion. The food was up quickly, and the half order of fries was MORE than enough for a single person - I'm glad Michelle suggested the half order. But the real star here was the Juicy Lucy burger. Michelle's advice is to take small bites until the cheese cools down to not completely molten lava temperatures, and that advice is well-heeded. In that configuration, the flavor profile was very good. While I am used to tasting the cheese, then the beef, tasting the beef than the cheese was a very nice change, and very flavorful. I didn't hurry, but before I knew it the whole burger was gone and I had had an awesome burger experience. I heartily recommend Lucy's and hope they stay around a long time. Their hours are crafted to bring some late night food availability to the Tennyson neighborhood, and I suspect they will be very popular indeed. read more

Don't be fooled the pictures they have posted are not what you are getting. 10$ for a tiny burger that was over cooked and they served it with cold buns, my husband got double meat and they charged him 16$. That's an additional 6$ for a tiny patty. That price does not include fries or anything else, it's an additional 5.50$ for fries. So for three tiny burgers an order of fries and two cokes our bill was 52$. To make matters worse I have been sick from the food. Great atmosphere but the food is gross. I was excited to drive from far away to try Lucy's burgers. I was VERY disappointed. You first walk in and you get a hi, welcome in. Then you get warm water with no ice served to you with pretzels. One of the servers explains the menu to you and recommends the Juicy Lucy burger that with every bite warm cheese melts in your mouth. You get your juicy Lucy burger with a caution note and you're like WHAT!?!. THERE IS HOT, MOLTEN LAVA coming out, squriting out at least 8 inches in who knows what direction. I recommend a change of clothes.The meat itself was a flavorless, no seasoning, no lettuce or tomato. All for $15 a burger. OUCH! And the fries.
