Side salad with Bleu cheese dressing. Boont Ale behind it
    Larry M.

Met my brother in law for lunch. He was already in the bar when I arrived so we ate in there. Denise the bartender quickly took care of us. I had a very tasty dirty vodka martini and my brother in law had a Boont Ale from. Anderson Valley Brewery. He ordered garlic prawns, served with a nice selection of vegetables and he opted for mashed potatoes. I had a really good french dip, loaded with sliced ribs eye, mushrooms, and swiss cheese. The au jus was very tasty. I opted for a house salad( romaine lettuce with beets and cucumbers with a topping of parmesan cheese). I also ordered a cup of soup( today was beefy orzo) very good. The bar had a nice amount of people for lunch. The dining room was decorated nice and looked comfy. I look forward to visiting again.

New spot for us with stepping out to this location. Walked by it many of times over the. Last 2 years. Glad that we did as it was a good way to enjoy our last meal for the day. We were told that we could seat ourselves at any available table. Right away we realized the the bar it adjoined to the restaurant with a small entry way. We did not visit that area during our visit but we are aware for future visits. During this time it seemed as though the two hostesses that were working, split the areas. It helped where needed. Once we placed our food and beverage orders, it wasn't long after that we were presented with everything. All was enjoyable, not over cooked or over salted or bland. Was enjoyed. Even their freshly made generous portions of dessert. With all pictured for two people the bill was around $80. They are in a good spot of town, as you can take a little stroll by the water after your meal if weather permits.

Sample of alfredo sauce and cost

Ordered a fettuccine alfredo for pick-up and this was what I got. It was $18 and I was surprised when the box wasn't even half full and keep in mind that this didn't even include protein which is an extra cost. Of course I can make it myself at home at a lower cost but I expected at least the container to be full. This case would be shame on me and now I learned my lesson however I saw some of my colleagues chose some of their other items on the menu and it looked like a better value so I would give Lucy's another try. Nothing special about this order and I'm not sure if the noodles and sauce were made in the restaurant (didn't taste like it), but I'm still interested in some other items on their menu

Delicious, great service! Will be back! Great ambience and extensive menu... Onion rings were exceptional!

Biscuits and Gravy Baby!!!! Soooo good, biscuits homemade and soft and warm with a great gravy that isn't too salty!

Service was great! The ladies (Lisette & Wendy) took care of us for an impromptu Mother-Daughter Breakfast! Breakfast is only Friday-Sunday, so don't miss out!

Be careful when paying the bill. I gave a $4.00 tip. They rang it up as a $5.00 tip. Food - Not so good. Will never go back.

We are almost never in the small, non-assuming town of Isleton unless we're driving to or from Stockton. But this little sandwich shop is way worth the stop - go check them out! Food was amazing!! After eating here, I cannot eat at any other sandwich shop again. Seriously! It's that good. We ordered The Bobby with Sourdough Roll, Pastrami, Mortadella, Provolone, Mayonnaise, Dijon Mustard, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Oil & Vinegar - delicious and a hearty size. We also got The Angela with Croissant, Roast Beef, Pepper Jack Cheese, Mayonnaise, Dijon Mustard, Pepperoncini Peppers, Sprouts, Tomato, Red Onion. Both sandwiches were delicious. We also ordered two zombie sandwiches for a light dinner later that night. They are like bread buns stuffed with sandwich meat and cheese. Very good! You can have them heat the zombies for you. Service was great. The guy who took our order was friendly, respectful, and attentive. They have bottled drinks, chips, and jams and other items from local family-owned businesses. There's no indoor or outdoor seating, so plan to order and go! There's only a small entrance and ordering area inside the restaurant. This is definitely a small business that deserves to be patronized. Go check them out!

If you've ever driven through Rio Vista, you've probably heard of Foster's Bighorn (and if you…read morehaven't stopped in yet, you should.) Foster's Bighorn is a local peeps restaurant and bar. It houses a private collection of over 300 big game specimens from Africa and North America, making it a great place to see what big game hunting looked like in the 1930s. The moment you walk in, you're surrounded by world-class trophies covering the walls near the ceiling. It's unlike any other dining atmosphere around in the east bay. For me, this place is pure nostalgia. My dad used to bring me here once a year when he had business in Rio Vista. I remember being completely fascinated by all the trophies mounted on the walls. Large game hunting wasn't something my family participated in, but growing up in a farming family, animals raised for food were a normal part of life. Even so, the quality and quantity of the collection always left me in awe. Going back as an adult, I can say that feeling hasn't changed. The collection is still impressive. This visit, we kept it simple with drinks and appetizers. My friend ordered a margarita on the rocks, and I had a pale ale. Both were delicious and reasonably priced. The bar itself is a classic 65-foot bar that feels like it belongs in another era. For food, I had the Caesar salad, and we split the ten-inch pepperoni pizza. The pizza featured roni cups and felt like a solid, classic appetizer-style pizza . The side Caesar salad was a great portion with crisp lettuce, shaved Parmigiana, and crunchy croutons, simple and tasty. Foster's Bighorn offers a Chop House style menu for lunch and dinner, making it a great spot for a quick bite or a full sit down dinner. I'd absolutely go back: first for the nostalgia, second for the drinks, and third for the food. It's a one-of-a-kind place that feels like stepping into history while enjoying a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
