Overall not a bad brunch spot. Had biscuits and gravy. Didn't like the taste of the homemade sausage. Too bland and not enough kick for my pallette. The biscuits were good and the gravy had a good thickness but the sausage didn't seem to add anything but an odd contrast to the gravy. Gave 4 stars because everything else was delicious and I was expecting a little more flavor but I would go back to try around the menu some more. read more

Was very disappointed to call and be assured they would be open that night, only to arrive at 5:30 and find they had closed for the day. To be fair, it was the weekend in January when the storm came through, but I was still disappointing, having been assured on the phone just two hours before that they would be open. Also, I'm bummed that they are no longer open for dinner! Not their fault...they said it "didn't work out." But breakfast is still AMAZING, with my favorite being the omelette with venison in it. My friend and I came for brunch last Sunday. It was pretty busy but we were seated immediately. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. I got French toast with peach crumble (I don't remember what it was called) and it was incredible. My friend got the steak and eggs and everything was cooked perfectly! I'm so glad we found this place on none other than Yelp! My boyfriend and I were looking for a new place to have brunch this past Sunday, and we came across Lucy's. First impression walking in was that we loved the space - so open! We wanted to sit at the bar because that's more our jam, but there were only three stools at the bar, and two were taken. Oh well! The hostess seated us at a two top near the front, and our server, Colin, greeted us right away. He was a fantastic server! I ordered a mimosa, which was a true mimosa having just a splash of OJ. My boyfriend ordered the Bloody Mary bar. There is also a mimosa bar on Sat/Sun, but I'm traditional with my mimosas and just wanted OJ, so Colin made mine for me - Heaven forbid I have to walk to get my adult beverage (haha!). We also ordered the Deviled Egg starter, which came with three delicious eggs. For breakfast, I ordered the Spicy Hash from the features menu at Colin's recommendation, and my boyfriend ordered the Daane's Omelette. Both breakfasts were so darn good! I would say the Spicy Hash would be fine for those who aren't fond of spice, as I didn't find it all that spicy. Maybe just ask for the jalapenos on the side. We continued the fun with after breakfast beers. I ordered a Cheboygan Blood orange, and Colin literally tracked down the last one somewhere in the back! I told you the service was good! We got out of there for $55, which I think is reasonable for a great brunch and good service! This is our new fave brunch spot, and we're already planning on visiting again this weekend! read more

I really want to love it here but the food is usually just ok. I've had several specials of the day, the breakfast pot pie, and I just haven't found anything I'm wowed by except the sausage. The place is very cute and now larger since they took over the place next to it. There is usually always a wait and the service is always on the slow side. Every time I order a scramble I order cheese on top my eggs and it has never come out that way. I don't like eggs without cheese. The sauce in the pot pie is so bland that it only tastes good if you get extra cheese or add a lot oof pepper. read more

Someone suggested I try this place and I was finally able to go this morning. I am very happy to see plenty of vegetarian/vegan items on their menu. Enjoyed the vegan skillet with a side of jackfruit hash and was extremely satisfied with how tasty it all was. They have plenty of other options and I hope to come again soon to try more. The inside was much bigger than I expected and the decor very aesthetically pleasing. Our server was very kind and got everything for our order right. Prices were not bad either. Haven't been to Lucy's in some time; so glad we decided to come today. Despite being highly busy (Father's Day) we found the "Join the Waitlist" function on YELP to be spot on with regard to timing. We arrived, parked, entered the door and our table was ready. Host, servers, bussers and food delivery staff were very busy but friendly and on top of things. Our server, Aurora, could not have been more in touch with service needs. She was courteous beyond reproach and prompt. Our meals were hot and delicious---luckily we both had plenty for another meal at home tomorrow. Well done Lucy's; won't be as long before we return! read more

Looking to simply burn some time after Yoga the other day, I stopped into Lucy's Cafe. The place was fairly busy and so I was seated at their breakfast bar. From here you can view the kitchen which is a bit noisy, however, I was alone so I did not mind that. I ordered my drink with the waitress but after waiting a few moments, I was approached about coffee by a very kind man who I assume to be the manager or owner. He suggested different blends based on my personal taste and made small talk with me while I waited for the waitress to return. I then asked for what she deemed her personal favorite dish, which was the prosciutto and grits. Before I knew it, my food was in front of me and I was offered a variety of hot sauces to go with it! Much like the coffee and juice, the food was delicious. I think I would honestly have a hard time going back and trying something else! While I had never had grits before, I was presently surprised and quite enjoyed them. The portions were more than filling and I left feeling quite happy with my mid-morning brunch. I will certainly be back and hope to experience their gluten free bread choices, along with their espresso varieties as well. read more

This place I have tried 3 times. The restaurant itself it wonderful. Their chef serves overcooked chicken, burnt rice, overcooked eggs. It was sent back. He threw it all back on the grill, added oil and then sent it back out. Same dried chicken and burnt fried rice. Yikes! I gave up and brought it home. The toast is fantastic with what looks like homemade berry jam. The wait staff was awesome. read more
