My friend and I came for brunch last Sunday. It was pretty busy but we were seated immediately. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. I got French toast with peach crumble (I don't remember what it was called) and it was incredible. My friend got the steak and eggs and everything was cooked perfectly! Haven't been to Lucy's in some time; so glad we decided to come today. Despite being highly busy (Father's Day) we found the "Join the Waitlist" function on YELP to be spot on with regard to timing. We arrived, parked, entered the door and our table was ready. Host, servers, bussers and food delivery staff were very busy but friendly and on top of things. Our server, Aurora, could not have been more in touch with service needs. She was courteous beyond reproach and prompt. Our meals were hot and delicious---luckily we both had plenty for another meal at home tomorrow. Well done Lucy's; won't be as long before we return! read more

My first time trying Lucy's and I loved it! There are very unique menu items, and everything is so delicious! We had a little bit of a wait for lunch time... so, I ordered a blueberry donut and hot chocolate to tide me over until we got seated. I LOVED the donut, but the hot chocolate wasn't my favorite. The 2 girls I was with also had a hot chocolate, and they weren't impressed either. We all said we wished the hot chocolate was more chocolate flavored. It was just a little bland. For lunch, I had the crab rangoon grilled cheese... and it was so unique! I've never seen a grilled cheese like this at a restaurant before. One thing to note... the parking lot is small, and will most likely be full. So, expect to park on the street nearby the restaurant. read more

This place I have tried 3 times. The restaurant itself it wonderful. Their chef serves overcooked chicken, burnt rice, overcooked eggs. It was sent back. He threw it all back on the grill, added oil and then sent it back out. Same dried chicken and burnt fried rice. Yikes! I gave up and brought it home. The toast is fantastic with what looks like homemade berry jam. The wait staff was awesome. read more

Great place for brunch nestled in the heart of the Creston Heights district in Grand Rapids Michigan. Living in this area I have seen this building go from supermarket to empty for some time. Finally the area seems to be enjoying a surge of revitalization and boom there is now another solid offering to meet your munching needs. We came in on a Saturday morning and sat down at the "bar" area facing the kitchen. Watching plate after plate come up of some beautiful looking breakfast offerings. I was impressed with the service, bright atmosphere and just solid presence of Little Lucy's as a whole. I would definitely eat here again. We enjoyed a couple plates that morning. I had the Creston scramble and it came out hot with some silky poached eggs and a whole lot of gravy and some killer corned beef hash. My wife enjoyed the classic breakfast. Finally tried this place. Ample parking on the side and also on the side street. Loved the atmosphere as well as the spaciousness. There is outside seating but since we were having monsoon-like weather we chose to sit inside. Our waitress was Khalie who did a great job waiting on our table, she was very attentive and sweet. I ordered the Vegan Skillet which had potatoes, tofu scramble, roasted tomato, spinach and cashew cream. It was served in a sizzling hot skillet which kept the food hot but also burned my finger despite being warned by Khalie . I can't wait to go back!! read more

Big THANK you to Yelp for directing me to this little gem! I jumped on to search for breakfast places Sunday morning and it lead me to Little Lucy's. This was our first visit and I am SO happy we made the drive, since it is a little bit out of our way. We got there around 930-ish and were able to get a seat right away. There were only a handful of tables taken at this time, although it was packed with a wait when we left. When sat down and started to look over the menu, I realized that I was going to have a problem. There were SO many delicious sounding options! I wanted about 6 things, all at once. The Classic Crepes, Creston Scramble, Ring of Fire Pancakes, Daane's Omelet, Croque Madame, Monte Cristo... SO MANY AMAZING SOUNDING CHOICES. With the help of our server (and the fact that they were out of the Ring of Fire Pancakes) i settled on the Creston Scramble and my husband (who is a traditional breakfast guy and doesn't venture too far out of his comfort zone...) ordered the Pop's Breakfast. Once our food was delivered I think I almost squealed with delight! It all looked mouthwatering! My Scramble was divine.. the homemade potato wedges were cooked very well and were very soft and flavorful, the corned beef was tender and had awesome flavor! I don't know what redeye gravy is.. but seriously!? IT was So. GOOD. The white cheddar added such a nice, creamy texture. I ordered my two eggs over easy and were cooked very well and made the whole thing a delicious, gooey feast. The challah toast was a wonderful way to soak it all up. My husband's Pop's Breakfast was also wonderful- the fact that he cleaned his plate would be a good testament to that. Bacon was cooked to his liking and was tasty! Eggs were good- ordered over medium. Pretty sure he could have eaten the whole pan of potatoes- they were his favorite! The raisin toast was magically gone, too. Not sure where he put those... ;) Our server, Corinne, was very sweet and attentive- answered our questions and help with a recommendation because i was torn between ALL the options. She checked on us often and refilled our coffee and pop when needed. We did stop in the bakery section before we left because I saw they had vegan snacks and wanted to grab a few for my Dad. The Coconut Curry bar & the Chocolate bar... he enjoyed the chocolate one, but the coconut curry one wasn't so much a dessert... as it was a curry brick lol That was a big disappointment.. The almond croissant, however, marvelous! I had intentions to share.. but that didn't happen! I'd highly recommend grabbing one when you leave! I will say that the prices are a little higher than what we are used to paying for breakfast. The Creston Scramble & Pop's breakfast with a coffee and a pop (with tip) was $31. The bars were $4 a piece and the croissant was $2.50 (ish),,, so NOT a cheap date.. but i did think the food was worth it and I look forward to returning! Hopefully to try the lunch menu! Since it is vegan friendly, its a great option to bring my Dad, too. Finding a vegan friendly lunch spot can be tricky.. breakfast even harder. read more

Great experience at this restaurant! We came across this place while on Yelp and decided to go for breakfast while we were in the area for a business trip. We were welcomed in to seat ourselves and the place was pretty busy. It was about 8:30 am on a Tuesday. They have two rooms that connect through an open doorway - one side is the café which is very cute, homey, and bright; while the other side is more of a bar area where its darker, grungier, but very large space and it appeared they had an upstairs as well. It was too cold when we visited but when the weather is nice, it's obvious that they have a great outdoor space to relax, drink and eat. My coworker got the BYOB breakfast with a pancake on the side. He likes to eat but that was a very large portion size and could barely finish the meal plus the pancake. He did not finish the pancake but had great things to say about it all! I went with the Breakfast sandwich on challah bread, no meat and with potatoes. The potatoes are different than some other breakfast potatoes as they are longer in shape, more oval shaped, and appear to have a different kind of seasoning on them. The sandwich was HUGE! It was absolutely delicious but it was so massive it was so hard to finish but I was so hungry so I did :). The sandwich was stacked with puffy scrambled eggs that were so tall I could barely take a large bite out of the sandwich without things falling apart. But it was delicious. Although slightly dirty as challah when toasted can get very crumbly. All in all, great experience. Be sure to check in so you can get a free bakery item on your visit! read more

Alright let's get real people....why is this place not more crowded??? I believe I have just found my NEW FAVORITE BREAKFAST SPOT in GR. Also, why is this place not rated 5 stars?! My girlfriend and I went there this morning because we saw it driving home from work the other day and thought "this looks cute". Well sure enough it was! The service was great, the food was amazing and NO WAIT! We went at peak time on a Saturday morning and there were plenty of open tables! They also have an awesome patio to enjoy your breakfast/brunch outside. Food review: The Creston Scramble is AMAZING! Most of the meals had the "Lucy Potatoes" and if you're ordering something that doesn't, then ask for a side of them! Incredible. We also had the traditional breakfast (eggs, meat, and toast) which was much better than most I've ever had! It looked like you really couldn't go wrong on the menu!
