Visiting from So. Cal, and first time at Lucy's and it was delicious. Kid approved as well! Excellent customer service, and well attended to. Felt very comfortable, like you're at home with family. My husband ordered the chilaquiles con pollo, I ordered Lucy's famous machaca plate and the kids ordered breakfast burritos. Hot coffee, horchatas and limeade and it was sooo good. Definitely recommend Lucy's whether you're a local or visiting out of state. It's a must to stop and eat.

Great place for some authentic Mexican food. Service was excellent. Nice small business EVERYONE should support!

    Tacos Antonia

Had the Tacos Antonia and did not disappoint. Hadn't been here in over 20 years and the food was just as on-point as it was all those years ago. Served with a side of rice and beans for just about $12. They also brought me a little cup of fideo sopita to enjoy with some chips and salsa while I waited for my meal to arrive. Simple but oh-so-tasty!

From food to friendly service, this restaurant knocks it out of the park. This is a true hole-in- the- wall gem! My husband and I went for breakfast around 11 this morning. They started us out with fresh chips and salsa. We loved the thin, crispy chips and the salsa that was fairly mild yet packed with flavor. Hubby ordered the Breakfast Machaca, and I ordered the Chilangas. I pretty much had no idea what I was ordered when I selected it but decided to take a chance. It was delicious, kind of like breakfast nachos. All the food was super delicious!!! As we were paying, we met the owner. He is so friendly and nice. We will definitely be back to try more on the menu!

Chips and salsa were very good a little bit spicy but very delicious.

This place doesn't look like much, we had to walk through a pool hall bar to find the restaurant. The food was fabulous! I ordered the Tacos Antonia - fried tacos with shredded meat and avocado with special sauce- yumm! My friend ordered a Mexican plate that was very good. I got the famous breakfast machaca plate to go. This was the best! Shredded beef mixed with scrambled eggs and pico, smothered in chile con queso. The best! We topped it off sharing a tres leches cake, I've had better- but it was good!

Looking for a cheap, delicious and filling Mexican breakfast plate? Well this is the right place! Lucy's restaurant is small Mexican restaurant that leaves enormous impact on your tastebuds. I've only been here for breakfast and man it does not disappoint. All of their dishes come with large portions for a very small price. My favorite dish here is the breakfast machaca. It comes with a tortilla, refrained beans and shredded chicken with queso covering it. It is so moist and tasty. The whole plate is balanced and is a great meal to start the day. The workers are extremely friendly and always make you feel like family. They wear masks and are in compliance of covid-19 regulations. Please come start your day with Lucy's and you won't regret it!

Everything was super tasty highly highly recommend the kimchi pancake. Flavor was spectacular and perfectly crispy/crunchy. The squid entree was very tasty too just a little too many peppers for me. Would get again if I didn't want to try other things. Value is really great for how much food I got. Yes we really over ordered (2 apps 2 entrees for 2 people) but still all the plates were big. Perhaps only downside is that the dining area is pretty small. I would expect them to outgrow their little storefront quickly. I'd come back next time I travel to El Paso.

It was a bit uncomfortable with how loud it was and sitting next to strangers not being able to have a comfortable conversation with the person in front of you. The food was really good! I enjoyed the tteokbokki so much and I feel like as simple as this dish is, a lot of places sometimes miss. Again I know it isn't their fault maybe the day I came in it was really busy and maybe it's not that busy usually but I would have liked to be in a bigger space.

This is the barbecue that does not need the sauce it's that good! Service was really good. Considering what they are doing here with regards to helping homeless people get back on their feet it was excellent service. Thick slices with a beautiful smoke ring, deep flavor, and that perfect balance of tenderness and structure. It was juicy without being greasy, and the bark had just the right bite. The brisket sandwich was equally satisfying. Simple, honest, and generous, with crisp onions and a soft bun that let the meat shine. The ribs had great flavor, but were a bit on the dry side during this visit. Still enjoyable, but the brisket definitely stole the show. Sides were a mix. The green beans were outstanding. Easily some of the best I've had at a barbecue spot. Full of flavor and clearly cooked with care. The beans and cornbread were solid and comforting. The coleslaw, though, didn't quite stand out and was the only item I'd probably skip next time. The space itself adds to the experience. Open, casual, and unpretentious. It feels like a place focused on doing barbecue right rather than trying to be trendy. FYI: You order first & they bring out the food to you. Overall, Hallelujah BBQ is absolutely worth visiting, especially for the brisket and those green beans. I'll definitely be back.

As a regular meat eater, it's not necessarily the type of restaurant I would be attracted to but the service & meal was very pleasant. Jake was on point with his service & recommended the daily specials - which included the "meat"ball sub sandwich with salad. I also opted in for the Mac & Cheese appetizer because it sounded great. Ordered a manzanita drink (drink selection is a little different than many other restaurants). The Mac & Cheese appetizer was delicious! Actually, my favorite part of the meal! The sub sandwich came with a simple green salad that was a nice combo. The sandwich bread was soft & warm and included meatballs covered in sauce & melted cheese. Not bad at all but due to my own personal preference the meatballs weren't my personal favorite. In the future, I think I'll lean toward options that don't feature "meat" because of my preference but for those who look for or prefer vegan options, go visit Jake & check out this new downtown El Paso eatery!
