Purchased a set of wheels and tires from Webster Tire and Wheel for my 2012 mustang gt just last…read moremonth and was very disappointed with the service. I shopped around for the best prices/most convenient location, and Webster wheel and tire came recommended from Avant Garde so I figured I would give them a try. After speaking with them on the phone then in person, we reached a reasonable price for wheels+tires+mounting+balancing. Upon calling them initially, they were extremely rude answering the phone and did not take my questions seriously, nor could I leave a deposit over the phone. I figured this was common practice for wheel distributors in the bronx (and I was getting a good price) so I figured it was worth this slight inconvenience. The real problems started when I went to pick up the wheels. The tires had already been mounted on the tires upon arrival, but to my dismay two of the rims had already been chipped. This included a roughly inch-long gash on one rim. Once brought to the (presumably) owners attention, he unprofessionally offered to replace it, if I purchased the damaged one as well for 20% off (not even close to worth it). After denying and pleading with him, he told me to return the following week to pick up the replacement rim at no charge. I was disappointed, but was fine and was willing to ignore the slight damage on the second rim if everything had gone smoothly there forward. Upon leaving the shop and entering the highway, I noticed a distinct wobble in my steering wheel above 45 mph, a tell-tale sign of a bad balance (the car had been aligned 2 weeks prior). I figured it was smartest decision was to bring this to his attention when I returned. When I returned to pick up the new rim, I was ignored for 20 minutes before the underqualified employees began attending to my car. When I spoke to the owner (Kelvin or Kevin I believe) regarding the balancing issue, he adamantly stated that there was no way the balance could be wrong (a common issue amongst tire shops) and refused to check the tires. Very aggravated, I left the shop never to return. It was not worth the concern to argue, rather I decided to get the wheels rebalanced at another shop and they have been flawless for 1,000 miles. As a side note, to change tires the company uses Jacks on the side of the road (not a lift or even inside a shop, extremely dangerous for both employees and the cars), as well as spray painted brake calipers in the middle of the street! As a car enthusiast I would HIGHLY recommend finding another shop, even if it involves traveling a distance. This whole process ended up costing me more money then if I had just attended a fair shop in the first place, which I would recommend all future buyers do. This was my first time dealing with Webster tire, and they will never receive any future business from me!
