Over charge if we were not their customer . We had flat tire near them . They said they can change to new tire only $150 . He said everything included . But he charged us $305 without telling us . We can not trust their estimation at all. Please be careful even if he said estimated. We picked the worst tire shop ever for Christmas Eve . read more

Run away!!! These ppl try to rip women off. This was my 2nd time getting an overly quoted price... Went there due to car sensors saying "check tire". Man removed my tires and put them in the water. He said that the inside of rims were dirty and is causing air to escape... he never showed me where the air was escaping from. 1. They quoted me 35.00 per Tire to clean the inside of rim's. I left and did not pay this high price bcuz I've cleaned the inside of my rims before for 10.00 each at another location.... so I decided to take the car to another tire shop and was told that the inside of my rims was cleaned and showed that air was not escaping. read more

My tire pressure warning light came on this morning and I saw a nail sticking out of one of my tires. I was back on the road in less than 10 minutes after arriving at los primos. $10 bucks but make sure you tip because these guys move like it's a nascar pit crew. read more

Came in because i needed my 4 tires balanced after having a crappy job done at a queens tire shop( 108st tires). My car steering wheel trembled on the highway so i took it here and I was immediately serviced. Took them 15 minutes to do all four. Father and son run the business. The son treated me well and was very friendly. I have to add that it was over 95 degrees out and they were in good spirits. They charged me $40 bucks which was a bargain and a half being some tire shops in NYC want to charge 20 per tire. These guys had all the tools and the service. The only reason i gave 4 out of 5 stars was because although my steering felt so much better, it still vibrated slightly. That being said i would definitely come back here to get work done and i highly recommend it. read more

I had come to this place back in October to have a flat fixed and everything when fine HOWEVER I was there last week to have a flat fixed [NYC streets are brutal] and was charged $20 to have the flat fixed [before it was $15]! Also, the was unable to remove the cap on the plug to release the air, I was told he had to take it to the "back" and hook it up to a machine to remove it and that would cost an extra $25!! He didn't hook it up to a machine and used a PLIERS to remove the cap!! THIS PLACE IS A CON and they charge different prices every time you go!!! It's best to go to JDs or another place on Amsterdam Avenue!! #BOYCOTT #BAD FOR THE COMMUNITY read more

We visited El Primo on a terrible Monday morning after getting 2 flat tires from NY's finest FDR potholes. When we got there, it was very busy and somewhat understaffed (understandably due to the early hour). After waiting about 20 minutes they checked to see if they had our run-flat tires in stock. We were super happy to hear they did. We waited again for them to mount the tires. After the 2 tires were mounted on the rims- we noticed they were NOT run-flats as we had asked for. They apologized but told us we should take them anyway. We explained that another nearby store had the run-flats in stock, but we chose to stay with El Primo because their pricing was less. After a lot of back a forth - and telling us about a leaky valve issue (still not sure if they may have caused the issue themselves). We paid to have he valves fixed for $120. We agreed to leave a deposit for the tires that they would refund us after we switched them out for run flats the same day. We came back that same day to return them, and they wanted to charge $12 to dispose of our flat tires- after paying $120 to fix valves -really?? We ended up leaving with the flat tires. This past Sunday I was on my way to the Bronx Zoo with my family when we got a nail in the tire. I stopped here to get it fixed and they told me it was too damaged to fix. I bought a tire from them and then took my "broken" tire with me. I went home, because I wasn't sure how safe the tire they sold me was, it didn't look great. The following day I went to my usual car place, they aren't opened Sundays. They were able to fix the "broken" tire easily and didn't understand why El Primo didn't fix it. I went back to El Primo to see if I could return the tire, even for less money than they charged me, and they refused. They didn't care that someone else could fix it, even though I showed them my "broken" tire back on my car. They said that I bought the tire so I'm stuck with it. This company has no problem lying to a person in their car with 2 young children so they won't have any problem lying to you. Do yourself a favor and go to the gas station across the street, they aren't crooks like this place. read more
