Food is good, service is above average, atmosphere is decent, but a little off if you get seated downstairs. My biggest gripe is the unwrapped straws. It's flat out unsanitary and feels like it should be a health code violation. The waitstaff's and bartender's hands touch dirty dishes, filthy menus, and money. Yet, those same hands grab an unwrapped straw, put it in a drink, and then our mouths touch the straw. It's pretty gross and I wish they'd stop that practice. read more

This place could use some housekeeping. A dead fly, hair, and general dust on the front windowsill. The waitress and her trainee did a good job and quickly brought us some nice warm rolls and a plate with some heavily adulterated "Olive" oil. It's a good thing they sprinkled a minuscule amount of anonymous seasoning in it to obscure its canola oil "flavor". We ordered the "Italian" sampler. Although it was supposed to be a hot appetizer, it came on a cold plate so the apps were cold before we finished. Maybe it was the meatballs that chilled the plate because they were cold from the start. The marinara, Buffalo sauce, and miracle whip? slathered into plastic containers for the dip sauces provided us with a true Italian fast-food experience. We decided to share an order of Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo. Although the pasta seemed to be house-made, the "Alfredo" sauce tasted like some off-brand government cheese mornay, bland and uninspiring. This was my father's favorite restaurant, so when he passed away on 5/11/2024, it was decided to have the bereavement meal there. I contacted them via email and got very quick response from Eric. My next email (after having more details of the service times worked out) was answered by Samatha Martin. I met with her everything was discussed and BEFORE I even made it home (15 minutes from the restaurant) there was an email with all pertinent information as well as a detailed bill WAITING in my inbox!!i I am a 35-year veteran of the food service industry, and this is by far the swiftest turnaround time I have ever seen! The food was plentiful and excellent. The room was comfortable, and the bar setup of soft drinks, iced tea and iced coffee was very user friendly. There were lots of leftovers, which we were delighted to bag able to take with us. To- go containers& bags were plentiful. Two floors of dining here: Upstairs main dining area and downstairs lounge dining area. The pizzas are wood fired in the partial open kitchen upstairs and are pretty good. Besides pizza, appetizers, salads, soups, calzones, pasta dishes, Italian entrees, and desserts are offered on the regular menu along with some daily special items. I've been here for lunch and dinner. The food is on the pricier side for what you get during dinner. On a recent visit, the bill for dinner was around $35 per person (with tax and gratuity, not including alcoholic drinks) with appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts. If you're not that hungry, you can spend around $20 for the entree and beverage only. I actually enjoy the Express Lunches (Mini Pizzas, Pastas, Paninis) served Monday-Saturday 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM, which are under $10 and include salad or a cup of soup. The complementary hot rolls are soft and chewy and good with the signature Dippin' Oil (bottle of virgin olive oil with herbs & spices). On my last lunch visit, I ordered a Special, the Roasted Red Pepper & Goat Cheese Ravioli (6) in parmesan pesto sauce topped with diced tomatoes including a cup of Sweet Italian Sausage Soup ($7.99), not bad. The small raviolis were drowned in sauce and I got some extra rolls to dip into the sauce. If it's dessert that you want, the server will walk around with a dessert tray (tiramisu, cannoli, cheesecake, mousse, cake). My favorite dessert here is the Warm Tollhouse Pie with ice cream ($5.25), very sweet. Can I just say I LOVE THE FOoD HeRE! They actually like their customers. Lol there bread is actually served with a good dip of olive oil and some seasoning. They have really good food. The server wasn't to bad but they could be a little more attentive but other then that love the food and would come back for more for their Italian food. There meatball is amazing and famous definitely is recommended to get. My kids and I had dinner at the Nashua Lui Lui last night. I could smell the fresh olive oil, wood burning, pizza aroma from the minute we walked in. The wood burning pizza oven was a delight to watch from our table. Our waitress was prompt greeting us. My daughter had the Chicken Alfredo which she devoured. their food is amazing!! and it's huge portions will feed a family of 2-4 easily. their bread and olive oil with seasoning in it is my absolute favorite part of the meal. Now I would've give. them a 5 star review however the person who packaged the olive oil didn't out any Italian herbs or seasoning it so it was fresh baked rolls and olive oil....I have olive oil at home. We walked in and were told we'd have to wait, despite the fact that there were quite a few tables open. When they finally sat us, we waited for about 10 minutes without anyone ever coming by so I finally had to ask for a waitress. The service continued to be slow and we had to ask to have our waters refilled and for someone to take our check. The food was decent but a little expensive for the quality. I ordered the shrimp risotto which was very garlicky and a little undercooked. The rice was a bit crunchy. No complaints about the shrimp! Ohhhh lui lui how the tables have turned. Was told this was a spot to get good genuine Italian food oh was my friend wrong. The server Hayley was excellent took care of my table very well. Mozzarella sticks were good cheese pull 10/10. Everything else was just bad meatballs not edible, pasta under cooked chicken in the Alfredo looked pale, cool and diaphoretic. Food quality has sadly declined a lot since pre-pandemic. The risotto was so insanely heavy with sauce that I question if they taste it. You honestly couldn't make out individual rice grains until you cut into the top layer. It just doesn't need all that, they need to go back to simpler recipes. Kids didn't like the pizza and other pasta dishes were a mess. Imagine crafting a recipe for lasagna. Put aside if you go ricotta or béchamel sauce, and either way you balance out the ratio of sauce, cheese, pasta. Then you serve a slice and think "let's pour a gallon of extra sauce on this". Why? It makes no sense and ruins the dish, drowning out any sense of balance. Their chefs need to start tasting food and get back to quality. Stop slopping out dishes and take back some pride. Used to be a long time favorite of ours and I literally can't get my family to go back anymore. read more

I love this place! The food here is always phenomenal. I have been coming to this restaurant for many years, and cannot get enough of their bread and oil. In addition to that, I had their pizza, calzones, pasta, salads... it is always very good. On my last visit, I had the gardinia calzone. It was stuffed to the gills with delicious vegetables and cheese/ricotta. The only drawback of this restaurant is the seating. Most of the tables are in the center of a large dining room, making a little crowded and difficult to hear. This can make the dining experience a little chaotic. This restaurant had high hopes from me from how packed it gets on the weekends. My girlfriend and I decided to try out lui lui and we kind of wish we just went to a regular spot that we go to. As you walk in through the doors you can either go down the stairs and go to the bar or a few stairs up and be at the main dining room. We decided to be in the main dining room and were sat down pretty quickly. It takes a while for anyone to come greet us or whatever. Our server finally comes and we get the free bread and we placed an order for arancini balls as a starter. It took a while for just the starter to come out considering it was the middle of the day and not really busy. The arancini balls were really good and I recommend getting them! For an entree I went with a chicken parm calzone and my girlfriend went with chicken and broccoli Alfredo. Again there was a unusual long wait for a barely busy time. The food was fine nothing amazingly different from what a pizza shop can whip up. We've been going to Lui Lui's for years. You can always count on the food but the primary reason for this review is the amazing talent they have on staff currently. Proactive, helpful, taking initiative, patient and kind. That about sums it up but here are the details. We met my parents here for lunch today. Dad's had a lot going on and doesn't get around well but 88 yr old retired Marine Generals don't take help very well and he tries his darnedest to be independent. The hostess was proactive in offering the lift, told us to take our time while we got through the door she was holding. Another inside, offered to the lift and when Dad climbed the stairs on his own, she asked if she could hold the walker for me. Our waitress was amazing. Super professional, accommodating, attentive, helpful all with what we could tell was a bright cheery smile behind that facial mask. Way to go Lui Lui's. If you're looking for a good Italian restaurant with good food and friendly servers, Lui Lui is the place. I got the Tortelloni-Brunelle and it was delicious. The chicken was tender, good cheese tortellini, and a lemon cream sauce with wonderful flavor. Getting our food took a while, but the dishes are prepared fresh and from scratch. So I'll start this with they gave me food poisoning over a decade ago. You can say I was a tad apprehensive coming back, but since I moved back to the area I thought I'd give them another chance as the area is really devoid of any great restaurants. At the end of the day it was meh. Wasn't bad. Wasn't great. It just felt like every other mid quality restaurant. The chicken parm was on par with the local pizza joints. I did like the mussles, but a quarter of them weren't open after cooking. It just felt expensive for the quality. Seeing as the only other Italian restaurant in the area is Olive Garden it pays to be the only one around. read more
