I really like this place but today the owner did a foul thing. A lady walked out with an order and then about 10 minutes later she returns and says she has the wrong order. So the owner put it aside and says yes that's a delivery order. Then about 10 minutes later he asked me what I ordered. I say I ordered a sub and he says here it is. And I said no that was a returned order. Plus that order is now about 25 minutes cold. Good thing I was watching the whole time or else I've been having someone's cold, returned lunch. Second try for this place. I recently ordered delivery of lobster raviolis and paid extra for shrimp and an app. After waiting the delivery guy shows up and says "oh by the way we ran out of lobster raviolis so we have you what we had left plus added shrimp to regular ravioli" well I paid for the shrimp so that wasn't a favor and I don't like regular ravioli sooooo garbage pretty much. Tonight I decided to pick up. Baked clams were covered in some thick white goop (not on menu) and the gnocchi sauce was so burnt and cooked down it taste like pure burnt tomatoe paste. Stay away from this place, terrible customer service and subpar food. We ordered delivery of some entries and we were told 45 min, which was fine but food showed up about 2 hours later. We made numerous calls and they kept telling us leaving in 5 min, our kids ended up just having a snack and going to bed with out diner even though we mentioned multiple times we have kids waiting for the food. The place could care less and on the last phone call that we made! they informed us that our credit card was declined and thats the reason for hold up, well called credit card and they informed me that Luigi's charged me abount an hour ago, terrible. This establishment is completely unprofessional. We came all the way from Robbinsville since my gram raved about the place and found the wait staff completely rude and unwilling to accommodate. We had a party of 5 adults and a baby. They put us in a booth and my husband was forced in the isle without a place at the table to eat at. Meanwhile the back room was completely open but wouldn't seat us there. We moved a small two seater table and connected it to the booth but the two women continued to talk about us rudely to where we could clearly hear them. We cancelled our order and left. Dined at Luigi's last Thursday the 19th and won't be returning anytime soon. To try to be short and simple, Luigi's is a place to go if you are starving and really don't care what you are eating. To begin, there is no parking in the parking lot. I had to park in the PNC Bank lot next door. It's not a big deal, but it may be for other people who have trouble walking or are handicapped. Secondly the cheese on my pizza was awful. Have you ever tried GOLDFISH CRACKERS? Goldfish crackers are really good, I love the flavor blasted ones as well. Goldfish has a cheddar flavor ... it's artificial tasting, but I still like it and always have. The cheese at Luigi's is very similar to goldfish cheddar flavor crackers. Very artificial tasting. It's quite disgusting if you think about it. The slices are huge, as well ... I don't like the slices to be half the size of the pie I am eating. The owner wasn't particularly friendly and acknowledged me as just another number entering the store. Luigi's gets 2 stars for a decent tasting sauce and crust. My husband had the sausage roll...it was perfectly cooked and had sausage, peppers and onions in every bite! I had a half of a #2 cold sub... the bread was fresh, soft and delicious...the cold cuts were quality. My one daughter had mozzarella sticks and a slice of sausage pizza. The mozzarella sticks were a generous portion of 8 sticks and the sausage pizza was covered with sausage. My picky eater had just two slices of plain...she finished before the rest of us. I have eaten at Luigi's once and ordered from there a few times. The plain pies and chicken parm dinner was really good. Sadly everything else I have tried was not. The fried calamari was chewy, tasteless and barely above room temp. I had a slice of the chicken Caesar salad pizza there and the chicken was dry and chewy and made me not feel well. I also ordered a Grandma Pizza which sounded delicious but when I got it the dough was chewy and tasted like cardboard. I guess they used fresh basil leaves that cooked down but the stems were all left behind so it was like eating a pizza covered in burn sticks. Besides all that they are very rude on the phone when I call to order and sound like I'm bothering them and are very short and annoyed with any questions I've had. Also the delivery drive is even worse. She wouldn't even come into my building. She called me and made me come out to her because she couldn't find a place to park. Which when I walked out I realized meant she couldn't park directly in front and didn't want walk a few doors down. When I order delivery the reason I pay extra and tip the driver is so that I don't have to get all dressed in a jacket and shoes and walk outside. Have not had the dinners yet but sure they are great based on what I have had... the specialty slices. On one occasion had the Chicken Parm slice - excellent ! Yesterday had the Chicken Bruscetta slice - incredible ! A complete meal about 2 inches high in total! Great thick crust, sauce, cheese, grilled chicken topped with a very tasty bruscetta. This is my go-to pizza place when at the shore. Will go there even though I usually beach it at Belmar which is a few towns away. Just finished our delivery dinner from Luigi's. As someone new to the area I have been bouncing around looking for the best in the area, and from my experience with Luigi's, they are FAR from the best. We ordered chicken parm dinner and a chicken cutlet calzone. To describe them in one word: BLAND. It is obvious there was no seasoning on these paper thin cutlets. There wasn't even cheese on all the cutlets in my chicken parm dinner. They give you a salad with the dinner which was a bunch of canned vegetables and brown lettuce in a tiny container. And btw, their "vinegarette" is just straight balsamic vinegar.. Yuck. Wouldn't try it again. Only positive is that it came on time, with a delivery time of about 45 mins.
