A real treat!!! I had there wonton noodle and dumpling soup. It was terrific. (and a BIG bowl!) I was by myself and in a good mood for having done well in a poker tournament that just finished. The service was good, I was seated at the counter and had an attendant waitress. With a beer the bill was $21. No complints and it was in a casino. I look forward to eating there again. read more

This was a nice place inside of live casino. I enjoyed the food, it was very authentic and flavorful. I also had an opportunity to try the sushi, which was perfection. I would take a star off for the incorrectly stated wait time and some of the interaction with the wait staff. The hostess was nice but they were about 20 minutes off with the wait time. We sat around the "grill boat" area which was weird because it wasnt really any thing to look at cooking wise, but it was set up like a bar. We had 2 or 3 waitresses that kept coming back and forth asking the same questions which was a bit tedious for us as guest and one waitress continued to get to close when taking my order, that was a part, that i did not like at all. The food is great, but i will agree with other reviews, it was pricey but its in the casino so i didnt really expect anything less. Give it a try and request a table!! read more

Soup dumplings arrived a good 30 MINUTES after the roll, and they came out with tough, brittle skins and NO soup inside whatsoever. They were all broken and somehow both rubbery and crumbly at the same time. The waiter recognized the problem, apologized, and asked if I would like something else, instead. I ordered the chow ho fun to replace the terrible dumplings. By this time, the place had gotten much more crowded than when I arrived. I waited 30 minutes more for my replacement dish, and when it was nowhere in sight, I asked the waiter for an update. He went and spoke with the chef, motioning to me and explaining that I had been waiting a long time. The chef SCREAMED at him and flailed his arms like a madman. Me and my wife have been coming to luk fu for quite a while and we love it. Anytime we crave duck that's the spot we go to it's a bit on the pricey side but the food is amazing it's good quality food not the stuff that leaves you bloated and uncomfortable. Every time I go I get the duck and the side of green beans my wife order something different that she hasn't tried before but she's running out of options the menu small which means it's consistent.I would've rated five stars but I feel like the server kind of pushes you out. I like the fact that this restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of the casino, sometimes when I get bored from eating at the mall I would cross to the casino building and opt to go here instead. You must be 21 and over to enter this restaurant because of the location. The place has a nice atmosphere for midscale dining experience, the waitress are very friendly and accommodating or at least one that always serves us. They have good specials every week, make sure to ask for it, it was lobster season when I dined here a couple times so their lobster fried rice was reasonably priced as the week special. The taste is not overwhelming. Their sushi is good and inviting and it was pretty good portions. They have variation of food: Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Vietnamese, so you have plenty to choose from. I also ordered adagashi tofu, which was good but not amazing but its a basic fried soft tofu so not much to tweak around it. I will recommend this place if you're craving for a slightly better Asian food. read more

I don't think any of the business deserve a 1 star review, and I would not want to rate it, unless it's an absolutely must. My wife and I got to the host station and asked for table for two. there were plenty of empty seats at the noodle bar and many vacant tables all the way around the restaurant. Two hostesses and a manager there asked us to wait and gave us a pager. We waited for 15 minutes and nothing happened. Sure, 15 minutes wait is not a long time, but it's ridiculous looking around with all the empty seats and table and they don't even care to seat anyone down. As customer service level, this is very BAD. As business perspective, this is even worse because they are wasting all the empty seats and tables not seating the customers down. Obviously, this restaurant at the casino do not care about customer service. I dinned here before and the food was just "so so". The food, service, and overall value deserve a very low rate and review from all social media sites. Best of luck to the management team at Luk Fu and LIVE casino for having this restaurant there. I don't think I've EVER been more disappointed with a dining experience than I was today. I've eaten at Casino Noodle Bars around the country. They've been alright. I didn't expect much, but when my mother mentioned that she wanted to have a birthday party for an uncle here ("They have dim sum!", she said. "It'll be good!", she said.), I said "Let's go check it out!". I'm glad we did, because we will not be returning. Seating: This is a Sunday. They have an entire section closed off because it's not busy - understandable. They have multiple empty tables, uncleared/uncleaned, and we're asked if we would like to wait for them to clear the tables, or we could sit in the group seating - alright, that's acceptable, I don't mind too much at this point. (My only gripe there is the seating arrangement... If you have a long table and stools and you seat people at the ends, it basically blocks you in/out from the middle of the table... annoying.). Service: Our waitress did not want to be there. We could tell, basically the only smile we got was when she handed us our check. By then I was fuming mad. Explanation below. We sit, no one greets us for about 10 minutes, I start peeking my head up, looking at other peoples' food and finally grab her attention. She asks us if we were ready to order, and I'm like, sure? She looks for the little check box paper we were given, and then we were instructed to order using the pencils that we weren't told existed. Typically you tell a guest when they're greeted, "Oh, here's how you can order! ::point point:: The pencils are there!" But no, that's not what happened. She says she'll be back with waters. I later add a Viet Iced Coffee. She brings out one water, one iced Coffee. As if I'd cancelled my water. Nope, I didn't. She also doesn't bring spoons with the soup dumplings. How does someone who work at a place that serves SOUP DUMPLINGS not bring out the proper utensils for them (I had to get up, slide behind the fat guy seated at the end of the table because the other way was also blocked, and look around for a server to get me soup spoons.)? Why is it that we order a dish to split, and we're not given share plates? There were a LOT of details that our server forgot, and to be honest, I'm quite easy to accommodate when I dine out, because I've worked the industry, I know what it's like, and I can sympathize. However, the fact that she was unavailable about 75% of the time, and I couldn't find her the rest of the time, even though there were literally, 2 other people ordering food other than us (everyone else was eating, finished and left, etc.) made this an unbearable hour and change. Even though the food was actually pretty decent as far as typical noodle bars go, I left there with the bitter taste of disappointment in my mouth, and a look of utter "I don't give a f*** anymore" on my face. I'm sure I looked disgusted, because I saw two guys who just sat down at the bar watch me go and they did double takes and most likely questioned their decision to eat there. Special Note: If you're a manager and your servers aren't doing their jobs, you don't ignore your guests until you're flagged down. You also don't go "Really? You're supposed to get soup spoons with your soup dumplings?". Nor do you explain "I don't receive tips, so I don't normally do this job, I just help with seating and such". Seriously? I don't care if that's not your job at this point, because clearly, you haven't been doing much managing either. Review: This casino has seriously been milking the locals for a while now and since they fear competition, they take "adequate" steps to insure they won't go bankrupt. So they decide to turn a stage into a restaurant. 1. The previous stage's logo is still on the location of the new restaurant, even though its blacked out people can still see it. It feels like the building of the location was rushed, the furniture was uncomfortable. We (4 of us) where seated on a bar stool style chairs on a high table. Not what I was expecting since two of my family members had bad backs. 2. I felt there was more Chinese on the menu then English. Again it felt like the menu design and listing was rushed. The menu was on a cheap 1 piece of 11 x 17 inch standard card-stock. Not what you would expect from a pricey restaurant. 3. I ordered about 4 dishes. One of them was called the Pa... something something. There was no description other then basic ingredients, beef and one or two other things. We wait about 30 minutes and they finally bring out one of the dishes, a beef soup. Another 20 minutes goes by and the second soup comes out. By this time the first soup was already getting cold. Another 10 minutes later and they bring out the Pa Something Something, as mentioned prior, but to my surprise it as peanuts( not listed on menu) garnished on it like no tomorrow. I don't mean a couple of peanuts. I mean about 20 or 30 of them, ground up finely, spread and massaged into the dish. I am allergic to peanuts. So I decide to switch the dish to what my uncle was having, curry noodles or something like that. 10 minutes later they finally bring out my uncle's dish. By this time the two people that got soups had already finished, as it was getting cold. My uncle got his curry noodles. Now we where about an hour and 10 minutes into our dinner. Still didn't get my dish. I decide to cancel it and just get a burger on the way home. My waitress has an attitude and tells me "first you want this then you want that and now you want to cancel? " Anyway I'm a nice guy, I pay the $70 or so bill for 3 dishes and we go home. This was just the first experience. You don't even want to know what I experienced at the buffet! So long story short, or for those who said TLDR: The service is very poor. The food quality is very poor. The taste is very poor. The experience is very poor. The location and decor are very poor. The bar stool tables are very uncomfortable. The food looked like it was rushed. The waitress was so rude. ( I still left that woman a tip) The price is too high - they are charging 4 diamond prices for hole in the wall food. PS, I did win $300 at the casino - it must have been my lucky day. So don't think I lost money and I decide to take it out on luk fu. This review was solely on Luk Fu and it's horrible horrible customer service. I was seated at the counter at 425 PM. It wasn't crowded. About 10 minutes later several others around me were seated. Several kitchen staff in front of me and what looked to be a manager or two. Still no one even came over to take a drink order. 15 minutes in, a lady came over and said my server would come soon and asked what I wanted to drink. A few minutes later She brought water and again stated my server would come. A server did come but tended to everyone else who came after me and then she walked away. Actual dishes that appeared at first to be not chicken nuggets in sauce. What do you know I sit down. My waitress is very nice and attentive and I order the Shoyu fried rice. I also get some bao because I notice they have a beautiful open kitchen and steamer in the center. Then I see the chef come out and open some "Prime Foods" frozen bao and toss them in the steamer. You know, the same bao you can find in any Asian supermarket. The same I have in my freezer. At home. I just paid $7 for 3 of them. What. Okay I think, the rice can't be that bad. Then I see the same cook come out with a bag of pre-cooked fried rice and toss it in a wok with vegetables to reheat it. What. This is $18? Are you kidding me? My food gets to me and I notice that it's the same quality as what I would get at my corner take out. I have just ordered fancy take out in a casino, with wait staff for three times the price. My friend orders a vegetarian lo mien dish because since everything is prepackaged they have no vegetarian options she asked for lo mien sans meat. Same thing, premade bag of lo mien with sauce tossed in wok with fresh veggies. The broth in the soup had no taste, then bite size sui mai, so small need your glasses to see it. Though the steam pork bun was ok. This is the most expensive dim sum i have seen though my food were comp. You might as well go to Asian Court in Ellicot City, their sui mai is twice the size and half the price. coming from vegas, most of the casinos have chinese restaurant, some have dim sum and their prices are no different from vegas chinatown. This restaurant is managed poorly. We ordered two bowls of shrimp and pork soup. The waitress came back and told us they couldn't make it. We then ordered a bowl of pho and a fish soup. She came back to tell us the fish soup couldn't be made. When my second choice and my buddies third arrived the sprouts were old. The waitress claimed twice they were fresh and made no offer to change them. We ate. I skipped the sprouts. The soups were ok, my buddy ordered some extra noodles. She asked if everything was ok and we said yes except the sprouts. She insisted they were fresh. I then explained my buddy is a professional chef and he chimed in and told her the sprouts had been in their walk in at least two weeks. So the waitress had no clue what was unavailable on the menu, items weren't ordered or prepped, and they continued to let rotting sprouts sit on the table. Luk Fu is an East Asian restaurant tucked inside the maze of the Maryland Live casino. They have done what they can with the décor, using tall panels to wall themselves off from the casino floor, it does create a sedate break from most of the lights (but not the noise). There are a number of different options, but we selected from the dim sum. The sticky rice is exactly as described, nice and hot and filled with bits of pork. The soup dumplings are interesting, filled with piping hot broth. The food wasn't amazing, but serviceable for dim sum, especially given how fast the kitchen has to move. They are surrounded by those tall panels, but there are a few spots where you can see the large TV screens if you want to keep an eye on a sporting event while you're there. Not a destination, but if you've been dragged to the casino it's a nice place to track down. read more

This was my fourth visit to Luk Fu. Previously I always had a problem with the service, kind of an attitude thing. This time we had a good waiter who did a great job. We always order the shrimp fried rice which is outstanding, maybe the best I have ever had. The one negative about the dish is that it's priced at $17.00. I could be mistaken but this time the portion appeared to be smaller than previous visits but the price was the same. The hot & sour soup was very good along with another dish that we tried. My girlfriend is gluten-free, and the waitress had not clue one what that meant. There were almost no gluten-free options. She wanted a dish with vegetables, and this request also baffled our waitress. The restaurant seems to specialize in mystery-meat coated with brown goop. Fresh vegetables are not to be found here. I wanted fried rice with my meal, and was told "So sorry. White rice only." I mean, come on! A Chinese restaurant with no fried rice? Not even for an extra charge? My Mongolian beef was mediocre at best, my girlfriend's beef stew was inedible. We ended up throwing all but a few bites in the trash. No extras here either - not even a fortune cookie. Simply Outstanding! The service was extremely fast and the servers were very friendly. The quality of the food was excellent. We had the Xiao Long Bao, Shiu Mai, and Crab Rangoon dim sum. Also, the Kung Pao Shrimp entree was prepared perfectly. Everything was delivered as ordered, very quickly. I thought we received great value for the price paid. Additionally, the location and atmosphere is great... not far from the tables. Dining tables are secluded just enough to enjoy your meal but also feel the good vibes coming from the casino floor.
