Corner Bites is open all the time, which is how we ended up here in the first place. And once I was here, I pulled up Far East's menu to compare: every dim sum order at Corner Bites is about fifty cents cheaper, with bigger portions. That's not a rounding error, that's a pattern. They also do Peking duck, half or whole, and it's roughly $20-30 less than Peking Gourmet out by Seven Corners, the one everybody makes the pilgrimage to. Somebody near me ordered it and the staff talked it up. I didn't get it this time, but I'm coming back for it, because I would rather drive to Rockville than fight Northern Virginia traffic for a duck that costs thirty dollars more.
