    Lobster Roll Trio
    Meeghan H.

I've been craving a lobster roll for a long time and finally decided to give Luke's Lobster a try. Solid lobster roll served with butter, NOT mayo I went with the Lobster Roll Trio. The lobster was fresh, though the portions are on the smaller side. I loved the variety: lemon butter, spicy mala, and truffle butter sampler. I also got the combo which included a drink & chips. The space is very casual, order at the counter & grab a seat. Prices are definitely on the higher side, but the lobster was delicious... and hey, it's SF.

Solid lobster roll, packed with your choice of oz meat and tucked into a nice buttery roll. We tried both the lobster roll and crab roll for good measure and I would say the crab one was slightly more sweet. But that could be the nature of crab. We thought the chowder was pretty solid as well we found some big clam chunks as well as the classic potatoes. It was creamy but not overly rich and heavy. Our meal came with chips and we got to choose a drink from the fridge.

We had to take a 20 minute Uber ride to get here but it was SO worth it! I'm always on the hunt for a good lobster roll and this did not disappoint. First off, Trevor was so warm and friendly. Second, the lobster roll was AMAZING! The bread was buttery and soft, the lobster was plump and succulent. We upgraded to truffle butter for $1 more. Elevated the flavor just enough to make it worth it. I will definitely go back.

Great place very delicious, it's a little pricey but worth it, just keep in mind it's a little hard to find parking

    Crab Roll

Crab roll is a 5/5!!!! Love how buttery it was and how it tasted fresh. It came with chips and a softdrink. Service was fast! Food is also served at your table. Loved the ambiance! Very upbeat :)

This is our second time in. We first went on 12/21 and the owner (I think) let us know he was limited on menu items because of the power black out that happened. We could only get the regular lobster roll and clam chowder. It was 10/10 both in service and food. So we had to come back and this time we got the lobster roll flight, a crab roll, lobster grilled cheese and clam chowder again because it's needed on cold days! I love that it taste so fresh. The staff is so pleasant and they had a good playlist going! Overall great vibes, I will for sure be going again.

How ironic (and perfect!) to grab a crab sandwich right after a Giants game! After a long 4-hour Opening Day, we spotted Luke's and had to give it a try. We ordered our rolls with no mayo, and they were incredibly fresh--the seasoning was spot on! The roll comes with a bag of chips and a drink, making it a satisfying post-game meal. The staff was friendly, and the food came out quickly, which we really appreciated after a long day. Highly recommend if you're in the area and craving something tasty and easy!

The lobster bisque soup is sooo good.

I got the lobster bisque soup as a quick lunch during a work day. And it was fresh and tasty. It's a good place to take a seafood bite.

Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Overall: Solid rolls and comparable to most. The extended review... Food: Luke's Trio - 3/5 - A rich combined of all the rolls so you can get a taste of lobster, shrimp, and crab. Pretty standard fare. Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Ambiance: 4/5 - Pretty cool decor with good seating.

It had been on my want-to-go list for a while, and I finally got to try it! I had their Lobster Roll Flight, which came with three flavors: 2 oz lemon butter roll, 2 oz spicy honey butter roll, and 2 oz truffle butter roll, all served on half buns with kettle chips. The lobster itself tasted great and fresh. The butter roll was really delicious as well, with a puff and buttery taste that complemented the lobster perfectly.

The lobster sampler: normal Luke's way, hot honey butter, and white truffle butter

I love Luke's lobster! It's so good. I love their flights so I can try all the butters. I love their lobster. I love that it comes with a chips and drink. This is not a cheap lunch/meal by any means. I easily spend $45 here each time. My partner would like to second this and say "very expensive especially when going with girlfriend, but very worth it when girlfriend loves it." Lobster used to be a food for commoners but now it is pricey and probably more so here in SF when Luke's gets their lobsters from Maine. I have never had bad or chewy lobster here. It's always yummy and soft and flaky. Out of all their current styles, the truffle butter is INCREDIBLE. With the hot honey I felt like the sweetness masked the lobster flavor a bit. Luke's way (standard, butter and dill I think) is also great. You can get a 6oz roll for about the same price as the 3 2oz sampler. So, as a flavor sampler myself, this is the only way I roll. Fun fact, Luke's Lobster is a B Corp which means they uphold more sustainable practices, both environmentally and socially. It takes the sting out of the price a little knowing that it's a well run company trying to do good while also being in business. Order at the counter and grab a seat. They're pretty quick at bringing it out to you.

Only the Lobster bisque is served warm. ALL of the items/subs are served cold. This was a surprise to my family and me upon first bite. It was our fault for not reading the menu thoroughly as it is clearly stated at the top.

Seafood pasta, a bowl of clam chowder certainly... everyone around me of course getting Cioppino. Huge bowls of steaming red broth and assorted seafood all around. That's my cue to blow this popsicle stand! Check please! All and all food was on point. Service somewhat wild and combative. Seemed appropriate.. my pasta, clams, muscles, prawns, etc... very good. For two of us we ordered a dozen oysters (sweetwaters, kusshis and miyagis), a bowl of clam chowder, the steamed artichoke w/citrus aioli, the Caesar salad w/crab and some bread on the side. And two glasses of Corsican rosé. ALL of it was scrumptious. It was just the right amount of food for us, though next time we will downsize the clam chowder or order a plain Caesar to fit another half dozen oysters into our bellies. Delicious shellfish meals has always been on my mind before I personally give up on them. I preferred indoor dining since I got to see how hungry customers like their food so much. After finding out about the specials, it's too bad there's never any single fish dishes let alone mostly shellfish meals. Therefore, a shellfish salad was a suitable choice. A pair of prawns, Bay shrimps, crab meat remains, olives, slices of tomatoes, slices of radish, and the romaine lettuce as a base. The blue cheese dressing I've chosen didn't overwhelm the shrimp and crab flavors as I continue to enjoy every single bite. I'll be more than glad to have cioppino and some oyster shooters, but having the shellfish salad is the last shellfish meal I would ever have. I still give two thumbs up to Anchor Oyster Bar for their local sustainable seafood selection.
