This was a really chill karaoke with a live band vibe on a Thursday night. The place was packed when I got there around 9:45 but there were a few seats at the bar which the hostess led me to. I strictly came here for the drinks and just to get a feel for this place. I had the Tropical Henny Crush, which was made right before my eyes just as the caption says. The live band had the crowd feeling NICE with 90's/2000's r&b hits. So I will return soon to try some food. read more

It's 20% gratitude when you sit down. The servers don't care about any services. Music is so loud don't go to have a conversation. You can't talk and enjoy dinner services with your guest. Drinks have no taste. Not sure if the water the bottles down. We had to try this black-owned establishment but we were very disappointed. Yesterday my friend was celebrating her birthday with our party of 10 and we had a RESERVATION for 7:30 pm, and did not get seated until 8:45 pm in a booth that DID NOT ACCOMMODATE 10 people. Two of my friends had to go sit at the bar because we did not have enough space. Next, we get to about an hour and 20 minutes later and the host comes over and tells us that we have to get up. So the birthday girl says it hasn't been two hours. The host says "it's an hour and a half minimum." Their website CLEARLY STATES the minimum is two hours. The host had a terrible attitude and no manager could be found until the very last minute of course. I HATE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT ACCEPT PARTIES OF 10 or more since you all are unable to accommodate!!!! read more

Although I love black owned businesses and what our people do for the culture but this was unorganized and very poor service. Tables fill the walk ways and the line to get in with a reservation is ridiculous. Once seated at the bar our bartender tried to be as attentive as possibly seeing as though it was an overflow of guest. Upon ordering at 11:20pm we received one meal 45 mins later and not our second part of our meal till 1:03am. Being as though my steak was enjoyable I give one star but the Mac n cheese lacked flavor. I took my wife and friends to celebrate her birthday. She wanted to try something new. It was 11of us. It took about 30 minutes to get water. The waiter said that they had only one waiter to serve the whole restaurant and it would take about an hour to get food to the table. Need less to say, we decided to take our business elsewhere. Where do I start. I went to Lulubelles for a friend's bday, she made reservations for 7pm, arrived on time! We were not seated until after 8pm. Half her party had to stand outside due to capacity. Meanwhile another lady with a reservation was not allowed in, again, due to capacity. There is a sign that says THIS IS A SLOW FOOD RESTAURANT and suggests you order apps that will come out in 5.5 minutes (I think I read that right). After being seated, it took about 10 mins for water, another 20 for the server to take our orders and another 20 to get our drinks. Food came out about 9:20 pm. There are 2 versions of lamb chops (or so they say), I ordered the signature grilled lamb chops, Im pretty sure they gave me jerk lamb chops which were FAR from jerk. They were also overcooked, my friend added dry (I didn't think they were dry). A few ppl ordered the fried lobster and said it was too salty. Oh, the apps surely did not take 5.5 mins. All food came out together. Hookah $55 and your forced to tip 40% or higher...there was no custom tip button, this is was disclosed. Music is too loud, this is not a club and idk why they call it a lounge as it is jam packed with no room to dance or walk around. All in all, food was a 7/10 (Collard greens were the best), service 6/10 (server was cool), ambiance 8/10. I will not return unless sitting at the bar as the drinks were good. read more

Wow, where do I begin? First off, I'm new to the area so I've just been trying new places. My sister recommended "Lula Belles" to me because she said they have really tasty fried salmon. My mom came in town and we decided to give it a try. We noticed they have a dress code and we were not really trying to do the most so we decided to order to go. We placed our order at 7:50 PM. Around 8:20 PM we received a call that our orders (we had 3) were ready. We waited outside so we go straight in. We are greeted by confused faces and we said we were just picking food up and we had been called and our food was ready. The hostess responded "oh yeah she's just bagging it up". Okay? Weird but cool. Fast forward 20 minutes, we're STILL waiting on our food. By this point my sister has grabbed what I guess was supposed to be a manager and she goes "oh yeah, I'm gonna make sure your food is right" while she is heading to the kitchen, OUT OF THIN AIR appears the hostess with three bags... full of cold food. Wow, we're super over it now so now we're just like okay, we would like our food HOT and if you could box the greens separate that'd be super helpful considering we have FRIED food (I mean that seems like common sense, but I guess the key word there is COMMON). We are then greeted by "Ms. P" "Ms. C" or whatever her name is. This is supposed to be the "big" manager. She tells us to "calm down and don't yell at her" instead of immediately apologizing, because at this point we've been here over AN HOUR since we received a call that our orders were ready. She brings us 2 replacement meals about 10 minutes after this and we head home to eat finally. Would yall believe that when we got home that was the DRIEST MOST UNSEASONED FRIED SALMON IVE EVER SEEN and the salmon bites I purchased as well were the same way. I'm telling yall, the salmon wasn't garnished in the usual parsley, it was over cooked, almost tough to eat. So I said you know what? I'm not eating this or wasting my $46 - YES $46 for a fried salmon dinner and an order of salmon bites. So I said I'll call them first thing Sunday when they open (12:00 PM) and hopefully things can be straightened. I called at 12:06 PM spoke with again, a "manager" (I think named Ashley) who informed me that "Ms. P" wasn't in at the moment and that she handles refunds and such. The "manager" took my information, said she should be in by 1:00 PM and that she would give her my number and she'd reach out to me. Fast forward to 2:00 PM, I've received no call so once again, I call the "restaurant" and this time "Ms.P" is there but "she just walked in the building and she said she'll call you in about 30-45 minutes"... like EXCUSE ME? I'm anunsatisfied customer who waited over an hour YESTERDAY so in my customer service-minded mind, I would think I would be priority. I inform them that I am going out of town in a few and I really wanted to get this out the way because in this economy, who has money to waste? They said she said it would be about 30-45 minutes. So I go home and wait until 3:00 and decide to just go up to the restaurant because this is simply ridiculous. Do you all know I was greeted by a fake security guard in cheap clothes and cheap cologne saying "you know she can't help you right now?" "They told me I can't let you in" "she's not gonna help you until after 5, I thought they told you that".. mind yall no one ever said such a thing, in fact "Ms. P" didn't even have the decency to follow up with me. I'm still waiting on her to call me, mind you the time is now 5:53 and she was supposed to call me after 5:00... in the mean time I'd thought I'd share my experience with everyone. The food, ambiance, & service was great! We did not have a reservation so we did need to wait about 45min but this is to be expected on a Sunday anywhere! We were seated at the bar and Mary was our server. Super sweet and helpful as this was our first time! We did have one vegan with us and Mary spoke to manager Jay who went above and beyond to service us. He came and spoke with us and accommodated the vegan request and she receive a FULL vegan meal. Everything was so great from the hospitality, service, food, music, and ambiance. My family visited on a Sat night and it was packed therefore we had to wait for a table to be available since we didn't rsvp. LeeAnn checked on us several times with updates so we weren't feeling forgotten. She even offered us complimentary drinks for the wait, however we declined. Once we were Sat the wonderful experience really began. Our server was very nice and checked on us regularly as we ordered quite a bit of food. Food was hot and tasty. However, not only did she check everyone else seem to check on us as well...from the host to the busser, which is usually rare in my experience. Music was on point. On my way out I stopped and spoke with LeeAnn and told her if she treats everyone like they treated my family this place will always be packed. I usually don't write Yelp reviews but my experience was horrible. I made reservations for my girlfriends birthday. When we arrive the hostess was rude. She did not great us or make us feel welcomed. When we were seated nobody came to help us. We were trying to be patient and started to try and have a good time. The music stop playing at some point. No DJ. In the moment of trying to take a picture another waitress came and told us we would have to move to another table. She did not ask, it was more so a demand. Didn't even offer an apology for the inconvenience. Lastly, when someone did come to our table she stated that she will be with us in a moment, something about they moved our table and that was the reason for the wait. However the moment I walked in the door the vibes were not welcoming. I'm disappointed because I thought this would be a luxury dining experience. I was looking forward to drinks, good food, and vibes. But instead we were experience rudeness. It does look great in there and I do hope that others continue to have a wonderful time when they patron the restaurant. Not a good experience at all! My cousin just moved here after her fathers death and my fiancé and I took her to dinner to welcome her to the city. NIGHTMARE!!! My cousin and I ordered the lamb chops and my fiancé ordered an appetizer (grilled salmon bites). We received our food and sat patiently waiting on the salmon bites only 15 minutes later to be told they fell apart. I asked to speak to the manager on duty. He refused to come but miraculously appreared once I told him we were not paying for the food. He informed me that I didn't have to come back to the establishment. So you don't send out the food and your answer is "you don't have to come back". The managers name was Jay. I am a stickler for customer service ESPECIALLY from an establishment that promotes top prices on their menu. I suggest that you DO NOT entertain your guests at this restaurant for you cannot guarantee that you will even receive your food. What a moment to be looked at like a fool. Never again!! read more
