- I so badly wanted to have a good experience because I wanted to support small businesses. But i'm definitely not coming back to this place - I typically get my nails done somewhere else but I needed to find something in this area temporarily - It costs $5 for filing a specific shape (e.g. almond shape) - $22 regular polish manicure - $5 to take off gel - I was shocked at how they removed the gel off my nails. The nail lady forcefully pried each gel polish off using a metal nail file with a pointy end. She stuck the pointy end under the gel part and pushed really hard to get the gel to come off - I had never seen this done before so I suggested filing off the top, then soaking in acetone for a couple of minutes, and then filing off the rest. (this is what i've been used to) - The nail lady's response was that "it would take too long" - I later read online that improper removal of gel polish, "yanking or picking the gel can damage the natural nail". Which I saw because there was bits of my nail attached to the gel polish she peeled off - She also cut my cuticle using an electric nail file so I pulled away because it hurt. I expressed it hurt and she said well don't move your hand. Accusing me of moving, and that's what caused the cut. - The filing process was so rough that my nails had frayed edges - I had about a 30sec hand massage with some lotion per hand - She painted one layer of silver glitter polish and asked if I wanted one coat or two. She said that two coats would look thick. - Finished in about 15-20min - It really felt like she wanted to do the bare minimum and get me out of the door asap - Typically getting my nails done is a very enjoyable, relaxing experience but I was tense the whole time - Since then, my nails have been so badly damaged that all of them have broken at least once - Really hope others don't have the same experience that I have - I really wish I had listened to the other reviews read more

Waited much longer than they initially indicated. But I get it- I was a walk in, so I knew I would have to wait. The problem was, they took their time on regulars and rushed through me. I got a lackluster pedi and my polish change on my hands was super messy and the polish started to chip almost immediately. I'm usually pretty willing to overlook some mistakes but between being rushed, unfriendly staff, and the messy work, I won't be coming back. It's too bad because I was looking for a nail place near my apartment since I moved to Hollywood in the last 2 years and don't always want to drive to my old nail place in North Miami. If you're a regular here, they'll treat you well but as a first timer walk in, don't expect much. read more

My nails came out super bumpy and EXTREMELY uneven. Not at all what I asked for. I clarified over 5 times what I wanted (French tip) and I was not being listened to. The white paint from the tip bled into the pink at the bottom of my nail on almost all the nails. This was clearly a skill issue but I was surprised and disappointed that something as simple as a French manicure could go so wrong. Well it's been 6 weeks since I got my powder manicure removed at Lulu nails and a pedicure and my nails are still messed up. The man who did my nails drilled them with the file so bad that my nails are so damaged they break everyday and have bumps. He also filed my toes with the drill even though there was no gel or anything on them !Also, they do not sanitize their equipment and literally use a grater to remove callouses which I'm pretty sure is illegal. John is absolutely amazing. He has a great personality; friendly, funny and professional. I am very particular with my nails and John has all the patience in the world! I got dip powder with 2 designed nails on each hand (including a marble effect done by hand) and a pedicure, for about $20 less than all other places nearby. And the services were perfectly done in an hour & 20 mins versus 2.5hrs at other places. I've been to almost a dozen places between Hallandale, Hollywood, Dania & Plantation but John is my new go-to. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! In response to the prior review that mentioned "taking her husband's kindness for weakness by being charged double," that's absolutely ridiculous. I certainly wouldn't get my house painted without asking for an estimate first so why would you get services done without having a clear understanding of what those services cost before you begin?! read more

I've been to this salon on numerous occasions and majority of the time I've had a wonderful experience. Getting my nails done helps my zen get to where it needs to be. Today when I went in for my pedicure and full set my day took a turn for the worst. The lady was so rough with my toes that they are raw from how deep she cut the skin. And I'm clearly in pain as she's doing my pedicure and it just felt like she was being tougher and tougher with my feet. For how tough she was I would've expected my skin to be baby soft. But no. I still have dead skin on my heels. Then when it came to my hands I picked a simple design which normally I come in and I get something super complex and I'm always satisfied. Today I picked the simplest crescent moon. It took 45 minutes to get 1 hand done. And it doesn't even look good. I just wanted them to match and the moons don't even match. And the second one looks even worse. I'm very upset and unsatisfied. And to be charged 80$ for this sh*t?! And this lady knew I was unsatisfied the entire time because she just kept saying sorry. Like seriously? If you knew it was bad then why keep going? At this point after sitting here for 2 1/2 hours waiting for it to look better and better my patience just completely ran out and I had to go. I then call the salon to speak with a manager, the guy who answers the phone tells me there is no manager in, I tell him my problem and he puts me on hold. When he gets back on the phone he tried to tell me he is the manager, RIGHT AFTER SAYING THERE WAS NO MANAGER THERE!! I simply asked for 20$ to be refunded to me and he tells me I have to come in for it, Or I'd have to call back at 7:30pm to speak to the manager. They always make you wait 40 minutes even if you make an appt. they completely disregard the appointment book. I had the first appointment today for when they open and when I walked in, someone was in the chair with the person I had an appt with. They do not give a crap if they make you wait. While I was there, they were late for 2 other women as well. 1 woman called to make sure they were running on time, he asked her to come an hour after her scheduled appointment. Then she did... he still had her waiting 45 minutes and she left and said how inconsiderate it is. This is probably the worst nail experience I've ever had. I have no idea how this place has such a good rating. I asked the girl to not sand my nails too much and be careful my nails are thin from too much sanding already, and she sanded the polish completely off (didn't soak them at all) and then tried to keep sanding and I asked her to stop, then she gets a different tool and keeps sanding, and I had to tell her to stop again. I chose a really light almost white neutral colour, and she starts painting them bright pink. I stop her and say it's the completely wrong color (this is not me being picky, they were not even close) and she angrily points out the number on the bottle matches. I said I don't care if the numbers are the same, it's the wrong color. They ask me to pick another and I do, and she starts and is a completely different color again. I just quietly ask her to take it off and I'll pay them and go elsewhere because I'm getting angry now. Also she was sniffling in her mask the whole time with a cold or allergies, and would wipe her nose with a thin piece of paper towel and you could see snot soak through the paper, then she wouldn't wash her hands and continue touching me. When I asked her to remove it, she dumped me off on some other lady to remove it, and now they've left me sitting here half an hour to obviously punish me. Awful place. read more

I started going there about 2 years ago off and on, Ashley and husband were very nice. It's a walk in or by appt. When I did the walk in I waited about 30 mins sometimes and there were times I had to get up and leave. I thought maybe if I get an appt I wouldn't wait that long. They were always booked up and their appts were never convenient. I stopped going because they never had time for a walk in or even for an appt. At times they asked me to come back instead of waiting. I am crunched for time so returning was not an option, then one day I said Ok and never went back. They do cater to a certain crowd due to the neighborhood and that's normal but... I figured I wasn't fitting in so I stopped going. This was my go to nail spot until the new owner took over recently. Called and made and appointment for nails/pedi , I show up and the person I made an appointment with refuses to do my nails. (Was referred to her by two good friends) She won't tell me why but basically she has me confused with someone she's done in the past who I guess was to "picky" for her . I've Never went to this person before so I'm obviously very confused and upset as to why I was shown discrimination when I've never in my life had a service done by her. I moved here to Florida from Ohio, no nail tech! first year I was going somewhere that charged me $150 for a french manicure on long nails. I took my kids to the doctors office one day and seen the nail salon a couple doors down and decided to come back and take a chance! first off my previous nail salon closed at 6pm daily so I appreciate the longer hours here! and I've gotten better quality nails not breaking lifting etc and almost 2x less! I bring my daughter my son for a manicure and his twin sister as well! my whole family comes! they go above and beyond! really make you look and feel beautiful soft feminine love it! 10/10 highly recommend read more

Tips: Go on a Saturday, surprisingly thats when they are least busy. Pros: Very clean and friendly! Free WiFi :) I've tried almost every tech for my nails and the best is by far the husband/owner. (Forgive me I cant remember his name) Cons: My nails have lasted the longest with him. The shellac here hasn't lasted as long compared to another salon but their pedis do. They never asked if you want to add a tip before running your credit card so be sure to remind them. read more

You get what you pay for. Received a gift card for my birthday and decided to go redeem it by getting a standard acrylic manicure ($13) with a simple design ($5). Right off the bat I was unimpressed with the customer service, no welcome, no acknowledgement, just awkwardly standing and waiting. I didn't have to wait too long before a young lady had me pick out my colors. The normal nail painting went fine, but the design...not so much. I asked for a simple dot design down the center of my nails. I was told it would be no problem. The dots are off centered and vary in size. I'm not stressing too much at this point because at least I won't have to pay out of pocket. After the lady was done with the design, she had me sit with my hands under a dryer. The force from the dryer smudged part of one of the dots on a single nail. After sitting under the dryer for 15+ minutes, not sure wether I can leave yet, I got up to ask if my nail could be touched up. The lady who originally did my nails was already helping another client, so another nail technician "tried" to help, by free handing a circle with a thick regular nail polish brush. It ended up looking way worse after his attempt. I told him I didn't like it, and he got an attitude and told me they'd have to redo the entire nail if I didn't like it. (I was on a time crunch for work so this was not an option.) I asked if someone could just stamp it with the correct color with the ball point tool. He told me no. Thankfully, another technician overheard and offered to try her best to fix it, she fixed it perfectly with some acetone in under 2 minutes. So again, you get what you pay for here, and depending on who you get, your experience may be better or worse. read more

They are a very busy salon, and the day I visited was no exception. Unfortunately, some HORRIBLE customers threw fits over minor things like having to wait until 1:40 for a 1:30 appointment.
