This review is solely based on costumer service that this store completely lacks. First off when you walk in this store there is zero greeting/acknowledgment by staff. My husband purchased a pair of leggings for me for Christmas that I needed to return. They did not fit. The tag was still attached and the receipt was in my email which was very easy for me to show them. The girl behind the counter seemed very confused. I explained, it's a simple return/exchange my husband purchased these for me as a gift and the tag is still on, I have the receipt and I have other items I would like to purchase. She went on to say that they no longer carry the leggings I was returning so therefore they cannot take them back. She asked for my receipt as I was going through my phone to retrieve it and get it for her, she had told me to prepare myself for the possibility of no exchange. Needless to say, that statement upset me immensely given the price of Lulu lemon and commitment to quality and customer service, which did not exist in the store. I had asked to speak with the manager. David came out to only let me know that his employee was correct and that they cannot exchange them... at that point, I specifically asked him, if he was telling me, "Im stuck with $130 pair of leggings that cannot be worn?" David, the manager, replied with a yes. I handed everything that I was going to purchase back to him and said, I would never be back in the store again." David had the nerve to say ok. I walked out of the store called Lulu lemon and everything was handled via phone. Later that night I called the store, David answered and I explained to him that everything was taken care of over the phone and that maybe he could use this lesson as a learning experience for his futureto help him grow in the arena of customer s Fast forward to on or around December 29, 2018, when I had to return damn near $600 worth of merchandise due to not fitting correctly. The merchandise was purchased at South Coast lululemon in Costa Mesa California, because I said I would NEVER walk back into fashion island, Newport Beach lululemon. What a mistake, on or around December 29, 2018 we were rushed for time, lululemon fashion island was our only option to return the stuff to get a gift card so my daughter could shop online. The exchange was made, the gift card was given ruffly in the amount of $600. I'm just rounding that number out because I don't feel like adding up my receipts. We attempted to purchase online, just to find out that the gift card that was given to us in the store, at Lululemon, at fashion Island mall in Newport Beach did NOT work. After 2 days of being on the phone with their EDUCATORS my gift card had to be drained by Lululemon over the phone, so now I'm sitting here with no merchandise and a gift card that is supposed to have close to $600 on it, about to be drained because the employee that did my return at fashion island gave me a dead card. Today is January 7, 2019 and I still have not received my entire order. I have been on the phone with three different educators, I have only received one return email for a review. I asked to be contacted by their resolution team which never occurred. Bottom line, I will never give Lululemon another penny. NIKE here we come. Oh by the way, I had to give one star. read more

I used to be a Lucy girl, but this is now new fave workout clothing store. I highly recommend their pants to anyone looking for dance or workout gear. Cost to worth it ratio: 3 stars Highlights: - Pants: I have gone through a good amount of exercise clothing over the years and these are the best I have tried. The fabric is amazing: comfortable, durable, form fitting but not too tight, and sleek-looking. As opposed to the knit material I'm used to, this won't get all annoyingly bally on you after several wears and is supposed to dry quickly. You can easily wear them to work out and go out after and not look frumpy. Love, love, LOVE my new pants. I bought several pairs. 8-) - Staff: super helpful, casual, and friendly. Unfortunately I have found that this is not always case in OC, so I was extra happy to encounter fantastic service without an attitude. The girl helping me navigated me through the options for cropped pants. Their pant options are like Gap jeans with differing fits, etc so I did need a GPS of sorts to lead the way. ;-) She was patient and gave good feedback which I appreciated, since it took me a numerous trying on sessions to pick out what I wanted. - Dancers on staff: my workout clothes shopping is mostly for dance since that is the only exercise that is fun enough that I will commit to consistently doing, so it was nice that they had dancers on staff to tell me what they like to wear and is dance-friendly. - Bag: when you check out, you get a cool re reusable bag with life quotes all over it. Environmentally friendly, functional, entertaining, and inspirational! - Tops: good variety of styles and designs - Location near home: I was visiting my cousin during this shopping trip, but they have one in Santana Row in SJ as well :-) Lowlights (my flip side to highlights) - Price: bit spendy at around $70 for cropped pants. Sure I'd like to spend less, but I love them so much and know I will wear them several nights a week for years, so it's worth it. - Tops: maybe it's just cause I never wear these types of workout tanks, but even in my correct size, they were so tight I couldn't get them off my myself--I had to summon my cuz to come help me. :-O - Logo: totally minor but everyone thinks there's a sticker on my leg when it's the logo incorporated into the pant. My review is for an online/curbside order pick up. It was relatively easy except I was told to come directly to the store. It kind of defeated the purpose of curbside pick up because I wanted to minimize my risk with groups of people at the mall. It seems like fashion Island is doing a good job with limiting capacity and or social distancing. Upon arrival I was greeted by an employee at the door who took my name. And had my package waiting for me. They were super helpful in exchanging one of the items because I ordered the wrong size. I had to go to the register to do this. There are social distancing markers on the floor and because it was early people were abiding by it. Masks are required and they do have hand sanitizer. It's located towards the Macy's end of the mall. I honestly haven't been to Mahl for obvious reasons in a very long time but find the ease of curbside pick up much easier in general. read more

I'm a huge Lulu fan. As a matter of fact, I entered the store today in full Lulu garb including shorts, tank, socks and underwear. I was looking to buy some new shorts but the merchandise was in total disarray. If you are going to charge $89 for shorts, please have them displayed properly. I told one of your associates about the issue and she totally disregarded me. I've been a loyal supporter for many years; however, this incident and how it was handled was such a turn off (and the store and merchandise looked gross) that I will now look for someone who will appreciate my business. If you don't mind spending $80 for gym pants, this is the place for you. I've actually spent that much on gym pants before, but not here. Their clothing isn't colorful enough. When I work out at the gym, I like wearing fun, colorful clothing, which actually helps motivate and brighten one's mood. I don't need black, brown or grey gym clothes that I can get at every other store on the planet. This store's sales were never that good in my opinion. So ridiculously expensive but so addicting!! I like looking in the sale section and can sometimes find a good sports bra for $50 or leggings for $70. The good thing about lulus are they will never fall apart on you- really great quality. Oh and they make my butt look fabulous!! The staff is usually nice and energetic. read more

Whenever I want to splurge, reward or motivate myself to workout, I buy myself a new tank. :) They have so many different styles (low, medium, high support) and I feel like they're constantly changing them so I frequently have to go back to their website to "check" what's new, at which point I always seem to end up finding something that I just "have" to have. ;) Also, who doesn't love their reusable shopping bags with inspirational quotes?? My friend and I set up a private shopping appointment for 8:30pm on Friday and it was confirmed via lululemon.com so we planned our entire Friday night around the occasion. We grabbed dinner and headed over to shop because we saw that the item we wanted was in stock at this location. Arriving in front of the store at precisely 8:30pm, we saw that the store was closed already and there were no employees inside. This was so disappointing because we drove over 30 minutes to get to this location which was further than our closest lululemon and we really wanted to purchase a few things that were only in stock here. Also, we specifically set up a private shopping experience as my friend is a regular hospital volunteer serving on the frontlines of COVID. Between working full time, taking online classes, and volunteering at the hospital, this was one of the only times that she was available to shop. We thought that this appointment based experience was supposed to make it safer and easier for people who are worried about exposure to COVID and don't have time to shop during the day. read more

The five stars are only for the employee named Jordan at the Fashion Island location. This location is busy, so I understand (to an extent) how their customer satisfaction scores are subpar. I visited the store 10120 at 1400 with my mother. I am accustomed to shop without assistance, but after a while of walking around the store I found myself in need of assistance. The employees I encountered before Jordan could care less to help me. They provided me with vague information about the merchandise offered at Lululemon. When asked about where I could find different colors or styles the employees stated "they are found all over the store." They did not attempt to physically assist me in purchasing, meaning they did not ask questions regarding my preferred style/fit/color. They would just direct me to a section and walk away. It's quite nauseating to experience that type of behavior from people employed to assist you in making a purchase. When Jordan approached me I was ready to leave the store without a purchase because I was overwhelmed with my whole experience. Jordan was extremely kind. She took the time to actually find the style/fit/color that I liked. Jordan without hesitation looked for sizes and colors I inquired about. Jordan assisted me in making an online purchase and a store purchase. She treated my mother with respect. Jordan's service was overall extraordinary for this location. I trust Jordan's perspective regarding products that Lululemon offers. I have specific needs of style/texture/color when purchasing products, and Jordan met them all. read more

Every time I have called, I feel like I am talking to a jr higher. Rude. Short. They always sound too busy to check on an order for me. Not one call sounded professional. Staff was really rude. The guy working up front was very pushy and confrontational about whether I had worn an item I was trying to return. I ended up not attempting to return the item it because the confrontation made me uncomfortable. I live less than 4 miles from this location but I would rather drive to Irvine Spectrum to receive better customer service. I cannot stand girls who act like they don't see you or don't want to offer their help. The sad thing is, I always shop around Fashion Island so out of CONVENIENCE, I shop at this location but no more. After today, I'm fed up. The first few times I shopped there I figured they were really busy or understaffed but today there were at least five or six girls working and not a single one asked me if I needed any help. I now know what it's like for women to buy a bra (figuratively speaking to make my point).... Lululemon is basically work out/high energy clothes on crack (wall st. expensive crack). Call me old-fashion, but I just never understood the hype about paying $69 for a shirt or $100 for a pair of "ass accentuating" pants you'd wear to the gym. A shirt is a shirt who cares. Throughout my poor college years I've collected many freebee t-shirts (just like you so don't pretend like your closet isn't filled with them too). From Wayzgoose, to Stay-over Program, to Completely Insane Anteaters, to vote John Smith for ASUCI, to I *heart* Horchata. These were my gym clothes and if they withstood 2 extraneous workouts before they fell apart or a smell of mold had taken it's strong hold I was happy and content even with the occasional rash or blister. Well... recently I have been Lulu-fied. Not in the sense that women become Lulu-crazy about how cute they will look sweating during a crouching dog pose. But in the technical sense. By technical I mean the fabrics, materials, to the fit. I'm just throwing this out there but "I've been told" dudes asses sweat. And sometimes this sweat just can't find it's little path to freedom without leaving destruction in its wake. All has been solved due to Lulu-awesome water wicking, silver coted, seamless boxer briefs. They absorb and wick away moisture while providing a great fit and the silver coting breaks down any bacterial mold that may form so they always smell scrumptious. All their products use these technical features and... it is nice! Ladies... I feel your pain of paying exuberant costs for underwear; Ergo, I'm now a proud owner of a $30 pair of boxers. +5 stars for quality and service -1 star for price and not having nearly enough stuff for guys. read more

I love lulu and am lucky enough to be able to wear it to work some days. I would say this location is always packed however if you can the attention of a employee they are always friendly and nice. Lulu has a policy that if their merchandise rips or tears the will fix for free. I have brought two pairs of pants here for that issue. One pair they said no it was normal wear and tear so I went online and did it that way the other pair was ripped in the seem and they took them without probably and stated they will be returned in 2 days. Overall I'm a fan of lululemon in general so I don't think I would ever rate a store to badly. I personally enjoy shopping online but because this store is so close to home whenever I'm at fashion I stop by and have always been treated nicely. read more

Management sucks at this store. Don't try to return anything to this store even if it's never been worn and still has the tags on it. My wife received a birthday gift and it was the wrong size. She tried to return it and they wouldn't even exchange it for a different size. I was with her when this happened and wow I thought I saw steam come out of her ears she was so mad. She has spent too much money at this store so I'm glad they pissed her off so much that she won't shop there ever again. Rule #1 in retail never let a customer leave mad. I'm sorry, you work at lululemon not Hermes. I have been frequenting this store since lululemon released their new color flash, in search of some size twos. At this store in particular, size twos are extremely hard to come by. I was told to check back on Wednesday for a new shipment. When I returned on Thursday, I was very rudely told by a group of three employees that they receive shipments every day, not just Wednesdays and they will never know when they are getting more flash or twos in. I tried to be friendly and make a joke about it and they actually started mocking me and laughed in my face. I left feeling pretty embarrassed and obviously empty handed. I am a total lulu lover and sitting here writing this review I am donning head to toe lulu. Thus, nothing will stop me from wearing it. Don't like the products, but especially don't like the service. The moment I walked in, I wasn't greeted like the other customers. No one helped me or even interacted with me, and once I tried asking a question about the type of fabrics and sizes, I was brushed off and was told "Well, that's all we have!" with an attitude. Even though, I don't like the products ( quality is thin for the price you pay), I've had way better service at the Costa Mesa location. If you want quality clothes, visit Athleta which has better service and quality of clothes. Don't come here unless you're dressed like you're filthy rich. This is a review solely on that store. Their clothes are great, however we'll be buying them from the Crystal Court Store from now on. Why the 1 star review: Wife received several Lulu pieces for Christmas from her mother who had purchased them in early December. The week after Christmas we went to exchange the items for pieces that fit. We were told that a lot of the stuff had gone on sale that and that we needed to bring back the clothes with the receipt to exchange at full credit. We tell the sales clerk that my wife's mother has the receipts in San Diego and that she'll have to mail them. "That's ok," she says, just bring them back in when you get them and we'll exchange for the full amount. My wife's mother finds the receipts and mails them from San Diego. By the time we get back to the store it has been 3 weeks. The first sales clerk would not exchange any of the gear, with the receipt, for even a "discounted" price, explaining that their exchange policy was "2 weeks, but they had extended it for Christmas- but even that extended time was up. Fine, but none of the clerks when we had been in there the week after Christmas explained that policy. Even after we explained that here mother was going to have to mail the receipts from San Diego, all we heard was "Oh, that's fine, just bring them in and we'll exchange them." Again, all would have been fine if the the demeanor and attitude of first the sales person, and then the manager hadn't been so off putting. Scowling and saying "fine, whatever..." 10 times in a row does not make we want to come back. To say it bluntly, both her (the manager) and him (dude with the goatee salesperson) were rude and mean. I'm not sure if management recently changed here (since I read some bad reviews) but I had a wonderful experience here today that I immediately thought I had to give them props for their excellent customer service. During my most recent purchase here, I noticed that I had been charged twice for the same pants. I hadn't noticed this until a couple of days later (I know, I know, some of you are thinking how did I not notice that it was $$$ more than usual ... but we all know Lululemon are pricey and can easily add up (I bought 4 items). I brought my receipt another couple of days later and quickly asked for the manager as soon as I walked in and explained what had happened. I mentioned how I really don't have any way to prove the dispute other than I don't ever buy two items of the same kind. Peggy (the manager that day) was WONDERFUL! She was understanding and helpful. She didn't ask anymore and said, "I take your word for it" and gave me back my $$. I am an avid fan of Lululemon and will definitely be returning to this location for my purchases! read more

Yes, lululemon is super expensive. Like, really really expensive. That being said, it's awesome. Like, really, really, really awesome. It kind of depends on how you want to spend your money on workout clothes. If you prefer to have cheaper workout clothes and more of them, I would buy elsewhere. If you want to the best quality possible and don't mind paying a little extra for it, lululemon is a great spot for you. I fall somewhere in the middle. I don't really see the need to pay a ton for workout t-shirts and tops, but I do want a really good high quality sports bra and one or two really good pairs of yoga pants. The sports bras are amazing. Ask the staff if you need help on which one is best for you - they're all really knowlegable and kind of in love with lululemon as a brand so they're great for recommendations. I only have two but they're the only two I need. Before I always had to wear 2 or 3 just to get the support I get with one lululemon one. I've had one of them for almost two years and it's still in great shape. Other sports bras tend to wear out really quickly so in this case, I think it's worth it to spend a little more. In terms of yoga pants, these are the best. They're flattering, they breathe when you work out, they're flexible, and they come in all kinds of cute colors and styles. My sister and I wear ours way too often to places they're probably not the most appropriate haha. Whatever, they're comfortable and cute lol. If you can figure out when the sales are, it's worth it to try to catch one. I've found some great deals at the sales. Otherwise yeah, it's gonna be really expensive lol. But a little forethought and thinking about what you might want to pay a bit more for can go a long way in this case. If you're looking for a great investment in high quality workout wear, lululemon is definitely your place. read more

I love Lululemon! I agree that the Newport one has more selection than Spectrum. I've only ever had great experiences with all the saleswomen at Lululemon A friend and I were at F.I. yesterday and had 3 girls helping us. And again, tonight I was at Spectrum and 3 different girls were helping me with my alterations [Free!!!!], exchange, and additional purchase. * Tip I just learned: They can also hem our tanks for free since they are often very long. True $98 is tough to stomach for yoga pants, but they have incredible memory and don't stretch out fall down halfway through a class and their Luon fabric really keeps me dry and seem to stay cleaner longer (as noted by my Personal Trainer friend - quote "you don't have to wash them each time you wear them and they don't smell). If you take care of your pieces, they can really last a long time. I haven't had to retire any of my lulu pieces yet. The bra tops around $58 are OK. More stylish and flattering than Nike and [I think] less than Stella McCartney's line. Also - you can't beat their flattering cut tops and bottoms and nice accessories. Fun colors and often reversible (again wear twice before washing)! I love my gym bag (on sale) with all of it's thoughtful compartments. In fact, all of their pieces seem to have a lot of thought in the construction and functionality. Pockets for keys and cards, ipods, thumb loops. Sheesh! You'd think I worked for them (but unfortunately I do not). I'm a believer in good karma and Lululemon seems to really practice what they preach. Their current "thing" is to have everyone list their personal goals with deadlines. Not only is this a marketing scheme, but something they do themselves, as I witnessed the employees Wall of Goals [at Fashion Island].
