I don't understand why the customer service is so bad at fashion island. I was looking for tanks and had to ask for help and she seemed annoyed and pointed. When I couldn't find what I was looking for, I asked again and she was just plain nasty. I love the product and they are so arrogant. The place is swarming with customers especially the rack of mark downs. I have leggings in different sizes so the customers need help with the products and different sizing, especially at this price point. Dude, I was wearing this shirt around the house for a week, then worked out in it...and it doesn't even stink...sooo soft. Yeah, gross, but that's how I felt after wearing my first shirt from lululemon. The quality is so soft, it's has 24% seacell (whatever that is... helps with the smell maybe? and like 2% spandex so it stretches and doesn't affect my body movements. A few weeks ago, I was having trouble finding a gift for my wife because I've done the whole fancy bag thing and jewelry thing. She likes yoga and working out so once I got into lululemon I was able to get a bunch of clothes and a gym bag for her. I had no idea what I was doing, but I always see girls wearing lululemon at the gym or going to their yoga classes and it looks pretty legit. The people working at this store are super helpful and were able to guide me to the right pair of pants and crops and tops that my wife would enjoy. They even offer complimentary hemming for their yoga pants (for spending $100 on pants, more places should do this.) We were so happy with this place that we came back to get more stuff. They have a small mens section, but everything feels really good. I love their shirts. I could go out to the mall in one of their v-necks, but at the same time I could use it while playing basketball at the gym. It doesn't soak up with sweat and stays soft and flexible all the time. Definitely a great place to go to find workout clothes. Although I do have to mention that it's super expensive. I got two shirts and paid like $100. And these are mainly for working out. But seriously, they make me wanna go to the gym more and they feel super good. Pants are around $100 too, but still, I say they're totally worth it. read more

Lululemon in Fashion Island is the place to go for hipster-yoga-type-athletic women. Emily H brought me here to check out the athletic wear, and at first, I was skeptical. I mean, I used to run cross country and my coach would always say, why go running in fancy clothes when you can just throw on an old tee and running shoes? That has always been my mentality about working out for all these years! Why get nice workout clothes smelly and gross? But when I walked into Lululemon, I felt envious.....maybe just a twinge of jealousy over all the women who could afford to look attractive in their atheletic wear at the gym. Okay, fine, maybe I should look decent at the gym too. Prices are steep, but you get a nice product. In fact, with Lululemon's prices, you must EXPECT an excellent product! The pants are thick, push in a little tummy pouch, and push up your butt. They go for about $98. Wow. I personally liked the short spandex bike shorts. There is a thick band of color spandex at the top of the shorts for extra abdominal support. Those shorts? $48. As far as the bras, I like how the bras have slight padding in them, which are removable. They're a bit tight, so I would go up a size, because it was a workout in itself getting one bra off. Seriously. Service here is excellent. The saleswomen all wear Lululemon apparel, and they're super friendly. I ended up buying a $42 top that I never would have bought if Emily H hadn't convinced me that this place was good. I suppose I gave in, and decided to buy something that would wick away sweat, and have little hidden pockets for money/ID as well. Now that I spent all this money on my top, this guarantees that I hit the gym at least 4 times a week, just to get my money's worth. Overall, a solid 4 stars. The prices are rather steep, so I can't give it more stars. I liked this place, and I think I would come back after I work a few more hours and save some money. read more

THIS PLACE IS MY NEWEST ADDICTION. I swore to myself that I would NEVER step foot into this store because so many people I know have raved about this place and their clothing. Well of course you know it happened. This place is located in Fashion Island kind of hidden, but that's what makes this place even better. When we first walked in, we were greeted by the cashiers even though their were busy helping customers. My friend and I walked all the way to the back of the store where they had a display of all their different style of tights. My friend tried to explain to me, but a nice sales associate overheard our conversation. She then filled me in quickly, but informatively about their products and different sizings and numerous tips and tricks to find the perfect fit & boy did she sell me. After looking at my stature and telling her my struggle with other brands, she hand selected my own set of tights and helped me in the dressing room. What can I say, this lady knew exactly what she was talking about. I fell in love and wanted everything. Overall, I ended up walking out with a pair of shorts but I can assure you that I'm going to be back with a long list of other things that I've been wanting. Worst service EVER! went in the am 1 other customer was in the store. The employees couldn't be bothered to help because they were busy chatting and calling to each other across the store. I hung in there and picked out tops etc hoping someone would offer to put them in a dressing room. Nope. I left the store after 15 minutes of zero assistance or EVEN eye contact! This is mostly a review of the Fashion Island store, not the clothing. I had a TERRIBLE experience with a woman who claimed to be one of the managers - tall-ish, long blonde hair. I brought in an item I received as a gift for exchange, unused, with a receipt and within the 14-day window, and she was surly and kept referring to an illogical store policy and brushed me away. That is idiotic business behavior - with a store credit, the company wouldn't have lost any $ and I most certainly would've walked out of that store spending more than what was spent on my gift - ultimately, a win-win. To emphasize that, that particular staff member needs some customer service (and logic) training, I took the same item to a different location and had *zero* issue exchanging it for yes, something much more expensive. I'm actually relieved that the second store manager fixed the situation because the first experience really soured me on the Lululemon brand; I think the clothing is of good quality and would have been bummed to not want to shop there anymore. Regarding the merchandise, I think it's a bit over-priced but will last and be well-used; the kinds of purchases where you won't feel too guilty about the splurge in hindsight. read more

Lululemon is ridiculously expensive but completely worth the splurge. The workout clothes hug and drape in alllll the right places. I actually wear my yoga pants everywhere because they can pass for real pants. The last pair I had lasted for five years without stretching out. They also do complimentary hemming of your pants too. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE LULULEMON (caps intended). Let me start by talking about their fabric... it's just amazing. phenomenal. more comfortable thing that will ever touch your skin! I started by purchasing a lulu scooba hoodie (uber warm). This led to my black on black define jacket... then my groove pants.... then Violaceous In Stride Jacket... then wind breaker jacket... then vinyasa scarf... then Push Your Limits Tank... then a pair of Tempo Crop... then travel pooch... then one black and one red slipless headbands. THIS is called "lulu addiction," everybody. Clearly I am addicted lululemon for many reasons such as their amazing customer service, reusable and cute lululemon bag, vibrant color palate, and of course, their state of the art fabric. I wear them to workout, to lounge around, and to just go out for a walk. Everything is very well made. Lululemon is definitely one of my favorite stores... This location is actually my favorite Lululemon. I prefer the Fashion Island location over the South Coast one. I read reviews saying girls were snobby and unattentive but I experienced the exact opposite. The girls that worked here were down to earth, helpful, and seemed genuine. I LOVE the clothes here, and I don't mind paying more for good quality clothes that I can wear for a long time. They hold Sunday yoga classes here, which is awesome! I actually LOVE lululemon products, however, I took away 3 stars because of my experience today. I called 5 different times to get directions, in which no one answered any of those times. It was close to noon - business hours. When I walked in, no one greeted me and while I was shopping and looking for a present, NO ONE asked me if I needed any help [which I did need help]. I had to ask someone to help and apparently she was too busy. So Terrible. I ended up spending close to $200 for 3 items. For that price, I expect WAY better customer service. Love this Lulu location. It's conveniently nestled in Fashion Island right across from Neiman Marcus. The employees could take a bit more initiative in helping customers but I will give them some slack since I came in on a weekend. The apparel is top notch, fits comfortably and lots of trendy cute styles to choose from but only thing that sucks is that they're so pricey. Lululemon is a sight for sore eyes. A ridiculously expensive sight but if you have the dough, then I recommend that you indulge. Their clothing, trendy athletic wear, is very high quality. I'm not one for overpriced duds just to be able name (brand) drop but I am a stickler for quality. Lululemon is a splurge but the level of quality makes the grade for their price point. If you can't afford it, and you know who you are, then stop frontin'. To echo Ludacris, "it ain't trickin' if ya got it" but go get it if you can afford it. Oh and another HUGE PLUS is the friend that I went with had purchased a zip-up sweatshirt over a year prior to the zipper breaking. She took the sweatshirt back to the store when I was with her... they exchanged the sweatshirt without any hassle whatsoever. I can't remember whether she had the receipt or not, but still, either way it is unbelievable. I was shocked. read more

In my opinion, lululemon clothing is to die for. The quality is exceptional and when I wear the clothing I actually feel inspired to be healthy. Questions always arise about their steep prices but once you try on a pair of Groove pants you will understand. I love the girls at the Newport lululemon. I am always greeted by name when I walk in and they are eager to help me (this may be because I spend quite a bit of time and money in the store, hehe). Love lululemon, but it's a hit and miss with customer service at their store. This review is solely based on their lack of customer service. I normally wouldn't write a review for a clothing store because it's pretty straightforward, but I just had to for the sake of it. Zero stars: It was literally a joke to be in this store. Not once was I greeted or smiled at. The employees would just look and walk away, certain times they would stare to make sure my boyfriend and I wasn't doing anything suspicious. Like come on, you have sensors on all your gear!!?? So I had specific items I wanted to try before purchasing and when I approached an employee to ask her questions, she didn't acknowledge and we both just stood there. Then headed to the fitting room and same thing. Mind you the time I went the store wasn't busy, fittings rooms weren't full, and employees were just standing there folding clothes. Normally my bf waits for me at the chairs by the fitting room and at South Coast Plaza location they'd kindly ask him if he's been helped, at this location even he felt like they belittled us. Then I came to realize I'm not blonde hair blue eyes and this is lululemon Fashion Island and we didn't look the part... I bought my gear and will be taking them to South Coast Plaza location to get my hemming done. Such a difference in customer service at South Coast than this location. A much more positive attitude from the staff and definitely friendlier customer service regardless whether you come in to look or buy. But one star because somehow their inventory is better here. All the ladies who work here are so great, from the front end to the back end in the dressing room. They're smiley, interactive, communicative, and just very helpful. Passing compliments out like candy. What a great environment to be in. They seem to get along well with each other too. They work as a team and I love it. Just had the most AMAZING experience at Lululemon!! I have wanted to buy their stuff forever but I felt that I wasn't far along enough in my weight loss journey to wear their stuff. I bit the bullet today and went in to the Newport Beach store, the staff was so friendly and helpful and I struck up a conversation with a girl named Emily that works there. I told her about how much weight I'd lost and how I was worried nothing would fit. She proceeded to grab tons of stuff for me to try on. We laughed and she cheered me on as more and more stuff fit!! After I had picked up a couple things to purchase she walked up to me have me a hug and told me how much my story inspired her and that they wanted to give me a pair of their Capri pants for free. This store has had a major overhaul for the better since my last review. It was actually my 5 year-old daughter's idea to go back in, (to which I was a little hesitant, given my previous experiences with this particular store). Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted immediately at the door with a smile, and several workers asked if I needed help. I proceeded to try on some items in the dressing room whole my daughter played with the toys in the toy chest (the main reason why she always wants to visit the store). I found an item that I really wanted that wasn't available in my size at the store, and a nice salesperson offered to call other local stores to check and see if they had what I was looking for. I also noticed that the interior of the store has changed for the better. The register used to be in the middle of the store, and the new location on the right side of the store makes more sense. I like how much easier it is to see the products now rather than how it used to be when I had to work my way around people hanging around the cash wrap. Everyone was quite helpful and friendly, very much like what I expect and have experienced in most other Lululemon stores I've visited over the years in Vancouver, Seattle and SoCal. Kudos to Lululemon for making my shopping experience at Fashion Island enjoyable again! read more

You come in thinking... "no way, I can't afford any of this stuff and it's all just overpriced hype anyway.." but then you see the sale rack. I recently bought 3 tops for the price of 2, to my amazement! These were my first lululemon purchases and I think I'm addicted... I used to roll my eyes at the girls wearing them in my yoga classes, but now I have seen the light! The tops are so comfortable, come in gorgeous colors/cuts, and don't get all heavy & gross when you sweat (which I do, hardcore - in yoga that is). Another plus, their shirts fit just right, not too tight to show off your pooch and not too loose that you're flashing everyone behind you during downward dog. Also, I've attended 1 Saturday morning core class and 1 Sunday morning yoga class - both were awesome! Very upbeat and positive atmosphere, I had a great time. Love the clothes! Yes, prices are high and if you don't go to the gym a lot and double your gym clothes as outing clothes you may not find it t be worth it but if you do then you'll love it too. The designs are great as is the quality. I didn't have any problem with the staff and been here 3 times, each time interacting with different staff members. The first time the lady helped me find the cutest clothes. Second time they were very polite abs willing to help with a return. Third time also friendly helpful and very courteous at the register. I went in yesterday and was greeted by a friendly gal, Dylan. She was very friendly , approachable and had a great attitude . She was not pushy which I appreciated because I typically like to browse first . When I had items in my hand she definitely knew her product knowledge on what items and sizes would work best with what I needed. She started a room and sent me to another associate who was also very helpful to get me a size . When I was done and browsing the store more the associates flooded my baby (In a good friendly way haha) . They make everyone feel welcome from age 6 months to beyond . At the register the guy who rung me up was also fun, friendly , approachable and over all had a great attitude as well . Great solid team here. guys I'm telling you...the ABC pants from Lululemon are the best pants you will ever purchase. If you are a male, you need these pants. They will hem them for you gratis at Lululemon, just tell your sales associate and after you try them on they will come out and measure the length out for you. It's usually ready within a couple days for you to pick up. This store was super busy when I went but all the associates were doing their best to keep up. Btw, if you don't know what ABC stands for it's "Anti-Ball Crushing"...just an fyi and it's a game changer in mens pants. When I first walked into the store I was really amazed by how large the areas. Not only was the staff very welcoming and gave great advice on what I should try on. They also have three different areas for seamstress to adjust your clothes right on spot. This is the first time I've ever witnessed the store with this and I think it's a great addition to the overall brand. Yes, you will pay a little more for the clothes but it will last longer and are always are so cute too and your clothes are put in a functional lululemon bag to use for other purposes----A Customer service is awesome there, their staff really do want to help their customers find the right fit. ----A They are always in touch with the community, giving away complimentary marathon training sessions with an elite athlete, yoga courses with in-demand instructors and hosting events in the stores to promote health and wellness.----A And they throw awesome grand opening parties =) You guys ROCK!!! read more

I purchased 2 pants and had them complimentary hemmed. I was told someone would call me when they were done (estimated 2 days) and ready to pick up. Fast forward 1 week no one called so I called to follow up and surprise they're done but no one called me. Picked up my pants, tried them on and they fit perfectly. Returned them to the dressing room staff to pack for me to take home and I left. A couple days later I get them out to wash and the security tags were still on both pants, sigh. I live about 1 hour away without traffic. This was the week of Christmas and there was no way I was going all the way back during the shopping frenzy! So I had to google how to remove the security tags like a criminal. Very inconvenient and unnecessary. read more
