I feel that it has become more corporate and is now focusing on workwear rather than exercise clothing. Excellent customer service! My first time at this location and the store is super nice. Impressed with the organization of all the attire. I looked at the various sections and decided to try on a few items that caught my eye for spin class. Definitely try on the clothes because some of the clothes are form fitting and tight and others are loose and baggy. I needed tops and bottoms that are moisture wick and comfy enough to spin and sweat. I ended up trying on leggings and a few tops. The leggings were super tight and not comfortable, and the tops were cute and fit perfectly. However one of the tops was just a tad too big. Super cute and really wanted the style because of the mesh and moisture wick material. The manager came up to me and asked if I liked it and if I did she offered to have the same top be sent to my house in the size I needed. Luckily it was available and she had the top sent to my house within 3 days. Cool! The fitting room staff was very helpful and friendly as well and offered her assistance in any way possible. I have been a fan of this brand for over a decade now. Yes there prices are high...pants will cost you $100 each and a top around the same BUT their stuff lasts and I wear the hell out of them! If for some reason you get a bad pair or it starts to unravel etc just bring them in and for the most part they will replace them- no questions asked! I enjoyed a little shopping spree here last week and JP the sales associate that was helping me was awesome! I told him my size and what I liked and everything he brought to me was on point! Lululemon changed about two years ago. From having a lovely warm friendly cozy fit and healthy feel to the store, they made it much larger and sterile and more corporate. They've taken away a lot of the nice styles of leggings with the pockets for your phone. They also don't have as many fun colors and patterns. It feels more like Banana Republic or THe Gap now. The staff are nice enough. Also more professional now and a little less friendly like in the old days. read more

I was visiting this store with a friend who bought an accessory. As my friend's purchase was being processed the store employee asked if we had tried their pants. I said I would when they carried plus sizes. Expecting to receive the usual polite nod, this lovely employee said she was sure she could help me find my size. Several options were brought to me and to my delight, I left with the best yoga pants I have ever owned. That employee's name is Sophie and she changed my opinion of yoga pants, Lulu Lemon, and transformed the snarky attitude I had when I first walked through their door. I was returning a jacket to the store (not final sale and was purchased like a week ago) at Westfield UTC La Jolla but I didn't have the same credit card with me that it was purchased it with. They found it under my account and they asked me to give the the card that it was paid with. I told then I didn't have it with me today. They really quick told me that they will just put it on a gift card without explaining that whatever i buy and return will go again on this gift card. Il left but it was bothering me (I don't know when I will be using this gift card) I returned to the store 5 min later to ask them to reverse transaction so I can come back with the correct card to process the return but they won't do it. By the way everywhere I return lately it's automatically goes to the card without the card presence needed. They lost the customer. Me and my teenage daughter were buying there quite a lot but we won't be there customers any more. Not customer oriented at all. I love lulus but I am so unimpressed by the employees here- I've never been to a store with such inattentive workers. They're so busy talking to one another that they don't help customers until it's requested/asked of them. I don't need you to greet me but when I'm clearly struggling to find a style/design in front of you, I'd expect someone to step up and do their job. Thankfully I had a good idea of what I was going to purchase so I grabbed the style and left. The guy at the cashier was also busy talking to other people and made us wait a good 5 minutes before actually helping us check out.. then I later realized he didn't even give me my change- it wasn't much but it just goes to show how much attention he's putting towards other people's money. It seems the other bad reviews for this store has to do with customer service as well. If you can make it to another lulu, I'd suggest you go there. Shopped here yesterday and asked a sales associate if they made a particular legging in my size, as it wasn't on the display. She looked at me with a facial expression that would insinuate disgust and told me, "we don't even make that size." However, upon further review of the store's products there were other styles of leggings in that exact size. This was an incredibly demeaning experience and I will never purchase nor support this store/brand. After conducting some research, this company (Lululemon) has a history of discriminating against people who wear anything over size 6. T.H.E. Short 9" Liner Bought the aforementioned shorts for my 19 year son and the tie (which is material) ripped in half after a couple of months. He explained not even rough use, just normal. The shorts still look brand new otherwise. Contacted customer service, Went through a few emails and sent several picture requirements. Finally, said I can return them however, I wanted an exchange or a new tie to be shipped. I would be out shipping to return and order again, what! I was shopping in the Saturday afternoon chaos of Black Friday, and I had called earlier in the morning to request that they put a pair of shorts on hold for me, which they guaranteed they had. Lo and behold, I arrive to the store, and the item I had requested was NOT on hold, and of course, no longer available in store. The reason this is a five star review is two of the sales associates helped me locate my shorts at a nearby store, put me in contact with the store, and now the item is being shipped to my home for free. Saved!! Thank you so much -- I wish I had gotten the names of the two sales associates, as I am grateful to their excellent customer care during Black Friday chaos in what could otherwise have been a very frustrating day for me. read more

So I know there's a quite a bit of controversy surrounding Lululemon, their sizing "formula", their sheer yoga pants from a recalled bad batch that blatantly displayed your thong choice of the day when they made you do the bend over test to prove it was truly as sheer as you had claimed... HOWEVER I must say I do still love the fit of their clothes. The closest I've gotten to such a perfect fit is with MPG, Zella and Athleta. But my heart belongs to Lululemon despite my misgivings about frequenting another one of their locations due to previous a-hole behavior. AHEM. We won't go there. Unfortunately, one of the jerks that worked at said location works HERE now...sigh. Can't win 'em all. I did a check-in recently where I had stated "Lululemon, why you so expensive? Oh wait, it's cause you make my ass look awe-mazing." This was meant for my Lululemon female addicts because who doesn't want to have a pair of running tights hold you in in all the right places? Muffin top begone! I picked up a pair of the Speed Tight *Cozy running tights after being saddened that they no longer made my favorite Run Pace ones anymore. These I think I love even more as they keep me warm, are made of a thick Luxtreme material, have cute ruching detail and 5 hidden pockets. Fitness is my profession so you better believe I look for quality and these fit the bill. Functional yet fashionable? Yes please! You know I'll be writing these off in next year's taxes. The staff has been more than accommodating at this location. So much that I finally picked up a Lululemon yoga mat at the urging of one of their team...I really nice guy who was very friendly, educated about the product but not pushy. I'll get his name on my next visit. Was it pricey? Yes. Worth it? Yes. Especially considering how many cheap crappy ones I've gone through. "The Mat" smells like a rubber tire for the first few weeks but air it out enough and it's all good. The cushioning and support you get in return makes up for it. I am in love with mine. This baby will grip your feet and hands and keep them from slipping while holding poses like no other so it's perfect for the die hard crunchy-granola-eating-patchouli-scented-hippie-­yogi...that refuse to wear deodorant. In Bikram yoga. Yes, HE does exist. Gross. On that note, Lululemon also hosts free yoga events from time to time so be sure to inquire within. And I love me some yoga. Even better when it's free. The store is usually fully stocked, neatly organized and I've yet to come in after browsing their website and not finding what I was looking for immediately available for my hot little hands. I walked into this store and felt out of place immediately, I was only here because I had a gift card... I didn't quite fit in with the other clientele. After aimless wandering Jessika found me and offered her help. I let her know I had no idea what I was doing here and she immediately turned that around. She had me try on a variety of items, and was always outside of the dressing room, asking questions and letting me know how things are "supposed" to fit. I'm not going to make this review about the Lululemon brand/prices as I feel those are SUPER high, but overall I can see why people pay for it... You are buying true quality that holds it's value over time. As a dude I love Lulu's, especially T.H.E. Short! The store is clean and the mens section is well organized and finding stuff is easy. Customer service was great too! I didn't have any issue with their staff. They were all helpful and polite. People want to complain about unhappy employees or those that gossip unrelated to Lulu but we all do it, especially in retail. And maybe their salty because the customer him/herself is salty! Lululemon for dudes?! I guess I am late on the Lulu train. Man are these clothes comfortable or what? Prepare your wallet and you can easily throw down more than 100 bucks for just a top and bottom. And that's the sale rack haha. I went to the location at La Jolla UTC. So I get it, they pride themselves with top quality material for working out. What makes them different than other fitness brands? Well, the materials last a long time and apparently there is the anti-microbacterial material within the fabric that prevents the stink on your clothes. I mean hey, deodorant should be everybody's pre-workout game plan. That's cool, since I sweat alot (not just glisten) Workers here are nice and were there to help me out with anything I needed. You definitely can feel the quality of the clothes here. So comfy, I can see why a basic looking T-shirt can cost more than 50 bucks. It's all in the details. Watch for the clearance rack, sometimes you can spot something that won't necessarily put a hole in your pocket. I got me a tank, some shorts, and a shirt. Guess I am LuLu'd out now! read more

I enjoy this store as I spend lots of time waiting for my wife who is addicted to yoga. It's easy to get to and the staff are very helpful and friendly. There's seating available and water dispensers for shoppers. The clothing is pricey for work out apparel but they really fit well. Love lululemon but this is my LEAST favorite store in SD. Expensive gear is a given, but the fact that all the "educators" are rude and unwelcoming here is a huge negative about this store. It's absolutely unnessary for the employees to be b*tchy and snobby, especially when they probably get paid minimum wage and don't get paid to act like that. I mean, if someone doesn't have decent customer interaction, get a job where you don't talk to others. This location makes me SO MAD EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I only come because i want to check out styles when i'm in UTC. The gals here are so valley i'm not sure how they got pass the interview stage because wow..... No one is ever helpful here and walk by you with the "ew gross" face. May not seem obvious but it is. They only help you when you come up to them and even then it seems like they shut you down with their attitude. They are NOT EDUCATORS- don't tell you what the material is or what its used for. Then they say the way you work out is wrong and shouldnt use the type of fabric for certain activity when something is wrong with it. I'm definitely a regular at lulu . I enjoy the product it's self but the customer service of lulu is terrible especially in La Jolla UTC. I went today 11/5/20 around 2:10pm and Paul was helping me . I purchased an item that was on sale , I understand it was final sale no return or exchanges . All though , in the bottom there was a hole and I paid 110 for the legging . I asked for a refund because obviously it's a DAMAGE ITEM that was sold to me . He said he wouldn't do anything about it , he showed me a similar item but was not identical so I wanted my money back . I should be able to get a refund after the store sold me a damage item that was on sale . They still had a ton of things for sale and we were asked by several employees if we needed help, everyone was so kind and friendly. The only thing is that we did have to wait in line before coming into store but Maria (not sure if this is the right name, she had a pink mask, long hair & an amazing figure lol) was so incredibly sweet, and was able to answer my husbands and I's questions and we walked away with all the products she recommended. I came here yesterday to invest in a pair of leggings. As a college student, comfort is #1 for me and I've always heard great comments about their expensive, but top quality leggings. I already knew what style I was looking for because I had looked online and screenshotted it. I was greeted upon walking in, which is always a nice gesture! I stood around trying to find the style I wanted and when an employee asked if I needed help, I showed her the photo and she immediately helped me look up the style in the store. Although they didn't have them in the store, she was able to order and have them shipped straight to my house. And free shipping! I came in here with my husband and it was my first time to ever purchase a legging because I hear and read about all the wonderful reviews. I only got close to trying them on because when I went to check out my husband wanted to purchase them for me because they offer a military discount. They asked him "well are these leggings for you" seriously for one legging and he said well they are for my wife... In New Orleans the military discount applies to military and their dependents. I am so happy that they renovated this location! It's much bigger and open. Not all the employees are welcoming and helpful but there are 2 employees I'd like to mention. Tmi, but my man was shopping for some underwears and a bald buff dude with glasses was very friendly and helped us pick out the perfect one for my man. My man is pretty fit so it's hard to find pants or underwear that will fit him perfectly. It's either too loose on the waist and too tight on the glutes and thighs. But the ones he recommended fit him perfectly. Wish I got his name, so I can mention him on this post. Second employee was Chris, he was very sweet and kind. We were there yesterday with my dog. I was sitting on the couch area with my baby girl waiting for her dad while he was shopping. Everyone who was working on the floor came and said hi to my baby girl that evening. For the first time, I did not encounter un-welcoming employee. There's always one or two female employees who makes us feel unwelcomed, but that's fine. They always seem unhappy to be at work and it's uncomfortable when I overhear them gossiping. I noticed, they like to gather around on the table in the fitting room. So, it's awkward to wait for my man to try on some clothes. Not exaggerating, but I was sitting in the middle and the employees were talking to each other both of my side... I've spent a ton of money at Lululemon over the past several years and have visited many different Lulu stores; unfortunately, the UTC location is terrible. I'm not sure why their customer service is so bad. Each and every time I've gone to the UTC location, I have received horrible customer service. I always feel like I'm entering a frat/sorority party gone wrong. This last time, I needed to exchange something and the cashier gave me the third degree (3rd time this has happened in the past year). He wanted a thorough explanation as to why I was returning/exchanging a couple items. Yes, all the items had both tags attached and I had the receipt. After my lengthy explanation, which I shouldn't have had to give, he proceeded to make me feel like I was a terrible person for returning their overpriced clothing. Also, before trying the new items on that I wished to purchase, at least 5 workers walked by me and not one offered to start me a room. They were having mundane conversations amongst themselves about their weekend plans, etc. They really need to get over themselves and actually pretend to like their jobs and help people shop instead of giving off the attitude that they're "so cool." I do not know why every store is the same. Several sales people standing around talking to each other. On the several occasions that I have shopped at one, I have not been asked if I need help. The employees also exude arrogance, and since I am in a sales position, as well, I do not get it. The topper was that my husband went to the store to get our daughter for Christmas the same jacket I have and even had a picture of my jacket. They sold him a completely different jacket and when I called to ask if they could pull and hold the correct jacket until tomorrow, she said they only hold things until the end of the day. I said, "Even though you sold him a different jacket than the one he showed you?" She said, "Well, it would have been NICE if he had the name of the jacket!" I weep for the day when my husband knows the name of an article of women's clothing! If I treated my customers like this I would not have any.
