I have to admit, I haven't purchased any lululemon clothing for myself in the past year or so because my jackets and yoga pants purchased long ago, have just held up well (and no, they're not see through). I have however, purchased many accessories such as the headbands, scarfs, towels and bags and have been very satisfied with these purchases...their headbands are the only ones that stay on my head during yoga. 2 years ago, I purchased one of their original vinyasa scarfs for my girlfriend and I and we've both always loved and wear them often. When my girlfriend and I noticed new colors and patterns come out, we have been trying to justify why we need another; my scarf rack is completely full (love scarfs!) so I certainly couldn't justify but my girlfriend ended up losing hers on a recent business trip and was really bummed. I knew how much she loved her scarf so for Christmas, came here to pick up the one she wanted. The Carlsbad location seems to get smaller shipments so I could never get one before they ran out. Since December, I purchased 3 of them for various gifts and just recently came in to pick up one for myself. I asked Santa for one but apparently I was on the naughty list so had to take matters into my own hands. ; ) I'd recommend these scarfs ladies...I promise, you'll never want to get out of it. Oh my goodness - this Christmas was absolutely crazy at the mall...yet, the staff at Lululemon was absolutely amazing! Not only did they help me with a Lululemon certificate I had, which was being difficult via email, they also served me with a smile and went to get some items I requested. I looove my hats!!! My first time at lululemon and it was a good experience! I'm too cheap to purchase anything from here for myself but when it came time to buy a gift for a loved one who just started exercising I thought a nice pair of lululemon leggings would be perfect lol. I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of customer service, but I was delightfully surprised by the great service I received here. As indecisive as I am I didn't know which leggings to choose from (regular black, reversible, extra long, roll down waist. etc). The possibilities seemed endless and what's worse I didn't even know what size to get. I stopped everyone that walked by that looked like they were the same size as my friend to ask them what size pants they were wearing. The sales girl on the floor must've sensed my desperation, or perhaps she received a harassment complaint b/c she came by with a bright smile and asked if I needed any help. She walked me through the pros and cons of each type of leggings and explained the sizes to me. I wish I remembered her name because she was very helpful. We found the perfect leggings then I headed to the register where I was again greeted by a warm smile. All in all a great experience. So great that it's really making me contemplate no longer being cheap and springing for some lululemon gear for myself. read more

Love Lululemon Clothing ! However I did not love the experience of the sales associate flirting with my husband ( to the point of touching him ), very uncomfortable moment. The situation was so obvious that another girl from the staff was trying to hint on her that he was with me ( I don't think she really cared ). I been at the store several times and most of the staff is always playing around ,management should look at doing some training on boundaries with customers. Great store for a variety of casual Sports clothes. Not cheap but good quality and jackets, shorts etc fit well. Their yoga pants are the best fit for travel, great cut, soft material, light weight and pack well. Men's shorts have deep pockets which are a must for me. Their products last a long time, wash well and keep their shape. read more

Before today I loved Lululemon for the quality of their merchandise - the high-tech materials, the flattering designs, and the truly unique styles that they turn out season after season. After my shopping experience this afternoon, I *LOVE* Lululemon for their outstanding service. I went in to the Lululemon store at the Westfield UTC mall to exchange several items I had ordered on-line. Every single attendant at the store was cheerful and helpful - advising on everything from sizing to alternative styles. It's so rare to have retail employees who seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs. This crew was professional and warm. One employee - Doug - deserves a special mention because he was responsible for what might have been the best customer service experience I've ever had. He helped me patiently over the phone before I went to the store with directions and checking on item availability. Then once I was in the store Doug helped to pick out clothing, advise on sizing, AND he gave me a lovely gift on behalf of Lululemon to wish me luck on an upcoming sports competition. When does anything like that ever happen these days?!? I'm so happy that we have a Lululemon store at the UTC mall now. I will be a loyal customer for life. read more

Manager is awful, never bothered to look for, a grey pair of leggings my daughter wanted. She also wouldn't accept an exchange or store credit for a pair of leggings that made an awful sound when you walk with them. I went to the Fashion Valley store, not only the manager there found the leggings my daughter wanted in a location outside CA, I was able to exchange my leggings as well. I went to Lululemon in Utc and was surprised how rude and mean the salesgirls were especially the manager in the store named Jody. For a high end store like this the owners of the store should hire people not only with good college education but also people with good manners. You need to train the workers. I was told that I can exchange my old yoga pants that became loose. This info was volunteered to me I did not ask for it. When I tried to exchange my pants, they treated me as if i was dirt. I got the feeling that i am not white so i should be treated that way Just a follow up on my review, i went to Lululemon in Fashion Valley and people there are so much nicer. Went there to exchange a gift (too small) a friend gave to me for my bday. When my friend bought the gift at another lululemon store they forgot to take the sensor off (which in my mind would not be a problem since I had the gift receipt). When I went to the register and explained I was exchanging the gift but there was the sensor I got this bad attitude from one of the ladies. She started to look to her co workers and to make faces that were definitely not nice. Someone else came to talked to her and then another person and when I saw it there were like 5 of them talking and making faces and I was just standing there waiting for 5 minutes, then finally one of them (I believe the manager) came to me and said they would not take the return and I should call a number and try to get approved if I want to exchange the gift. When I told her I had the gift receipt she scanned and said the receipt was looking weird... I asked how weird bcs at this point I really didn't understand anything anymore and she obviously didn't have an answer to my question. She was not making any effort to listen to me or to explain the situation and her attitude was rude. I left there feeling such a bad energy and I can guarantee I won't be back there... it doesn't matter if you work at lululemon or at a small cheap clothing store you should treat people nice... So I had to waste my trip to the mall bcs of a mistake someone else from lululemon made (by forgetting to take the sensor off) and also be treated like I'm a weirdo... very sad to see such a big store treating people like that and not giving literally a sh... about their customers... I went to the lululemon store where my friend originally bought the gift and in 5 min they solved the problem with a big smile in their faces... so honestly please check the people who you are hiring because some of them (like those ladies at UTC mall) are not ready to deal with people in the most basic ways of customer service. read more

Per my 12 year old's request, we braved the December 26th unboxing sale. She was interested in purchasing some items from the Ivivva line, I agreed if she could find some items on sale. I usually avoid mass sale events like the plague. Generally the promise of savings is not worth the anxiety. So I wanted to take this opportunity to acknowledge the Lululemon staff for being extraordinarily organized in terms of merchandising. The sale was easy to shop. Management made sure the store was well staffed. The dressing room situation was well handled and the check out process was seamless. There were staff members removing security tags in line and two staff members at each cash register. One to process the transaction and one to bag. BRAVO guys!!! You turned my biggest nightmare into a dream!!! read more

3 out of 5 for this location because when they remodeled they took out the restroom for their customers. The downtown La Jolla location may have a smaller store but it's definitely better to shop at. Their quality has taken a dip in the past few years compared to how it was when they started. I'm having to replace my tops and pants a lot more often. read more

This was my go to location of all other locations in SD but lately every time I come here the workers aren't that friendly or welcoming. I've never felt so out of place and completely ignored. I've literally walked around the whole store and not a single person ask if I needed help or anything but asked every other person around me. They seemed to be more concerned about their usual customers that come in and chatting it up. The ONLY person that made me feel welcome and that was genuinely nice was this bald buff man, I didn't get his name. Other than that everyone else is acting like theyre in high school. read more

I am a HUGE fan of Lululemon. This particular location is a nice size shop with a large variety offered. While at the location 2 weeks ago the employees were very welcoming and friendly to me. Also offered a lot of help and answers to my mom who was with me and new to lululemon. Will defiantly be back to this location, especially when they get the new location finished and open. read more

I went into the store to find a birthday present for my friend, since this is one of her favorite stores to get athletic clothing. For a store that sells overpriced merchandise you would have thought that the service would be above average. On the contrary the service was sub-par. I saw a bag online and wanted to take a look at it before making the purchase. Unfortunately they did not have it in store. The first salesperson I came across was extremely helpful and offered to make the order for me and have it shipped to my friend. I left to check another bag in Athleta for comparison, before heading back to Lululemon to make the purchase. The second salesperson that "helped" me was less helpful. While putting in information into the little machine to make the order, he entered the information incorrectly (which luckily I caught before the order went through), and got a "I don't really care" attitude. I asked about the gift receipt option and was told that it is not available (really?). He entered my friend's address as both the shipping and billing address, and when I asked him about it, he waved me off and said it was not important. The whole time I feel that he was in a rush to get rid of me, even though there was hardly any customer in the store at the time. To be honest there are lots of athletic clothing stores around these days. I have made multiple trips to Athleta before in the same shopping center and have never had such negative experience. And if you really are in love with their clothing and cannot live without it, I suggest you make the purchase online instead. At least you won't have to deal with attitudes. read more

Really disappointed in this location. I frequently shop at Lululemon and am usually asked if I need help. I shopped and grabbed things to try on. I had to interrupt "social hour" (gossiping and looking at Instagram) of 3-4 workers standing there to get a fitting room. Nobody asked if I was doing ok even after going to grab different sizes on my own. Asked for a size check and the girl was multitasking of checking and continuing to talk w the other workers about an Instagram post. I was so irritated I just went to the register and returned my item bc I didn't even want to purchase from Lululemon. Too many athletic lines to pay this much for poor customer service. read more

I bought a pair of leggings at this location yesterday, and since I am a military dependent I asked for a military discount. Usually I am given the discount with no questions asked, and expected to get one because my friend who is also a dependent has gotten a military discount at this location before. However, the associate helping me told me the discount was only for active duty, and declined to give me a discount with a dependent ID. I purchased the item at full price and left, but after looking at the company website found out the discount is actually offered to active duty and spouses (who carry dependent IDs). This lady clearly doesn't know what she's talking about. Moreover, my sister was purchasing leggings a few minutes later with a different associate who gave her the military discount, and the lady who helped me overheard their transaction and told the woman to take away my sister's discount because she wasn't active duty. I also overheard this woman refusing to replace another customer's leggings that had a hole in them after two weeks (which is a lululemon policy),rudely telling her to contact another store. Clearly this associate does not have the customers' interest in mind, and was either uninformed or lied about the military discount policy. This was my first time making a purchase at lululemon and I am disappointed in their customer service. read more

Lululemon has fantastic products, but what really stuck out to me at this store was one employee in particular Erin. She is a complete customers service rockstar goddess. She was knowledgeable about all the products and gave helpful and insightful suggestions. She made sure all of my needs were met, and continued to follow up to make sure I was taken care of. She is some sort of psychic, wizard, freaky genius. She knew my sizes before I did, knew what products would be good for what activities, and I felt like I was shopping with my damn best friend. I love the pants, but the customer service and whole experience was really frustrating. This was my first time going to lululemon and I did not know how the sizing worked. I asked one of the people working at the changing room area and she was very short and unhelpful. I had asked her what the sizing here corresponds to in like regular pants like jeans or something and she didn't even answer and just told me that a size 6 was their small. So I went on picking out size 6s and just grabbing random pants (because it was unorganized) not really knowing which style was what because no one helped me. I proceeded to try them on and they seemed fine so I picked one that I liked but I still thought they were too long and one of the people at the changing rooms told me that they do free tailoring which I thought was pretty cool. I went back to front to pay but as soon as I told her I wanted it tailored, she told me I'd have to go back to the changing room to try it on and leave it there. I was frustrated because the initial person who told me about the tailoring knew that I wanted that and just let me go pay instead of measuring it on me while I was already wearing it. So I went back to put them on and another person working there saw me in the pants and said that they were too big and that I needed a smaller size because if you're ___ size in normal pants you're likely a___ size in their leggings. I was sooo FRUSTRATED because this was the exact thing I asked the initial person and she DIDNT ANSWER. So I spent this whole time trying on size 6s because I thought they were the smallest size. I did like the pants which is the only reason I stayed there but it really took unnecessarily long and was frustrating. For this reason I don't want to go back. read more

Been a lulu customer for a couple years and this particular store just provides terrible customer service. Most recently, I called to inquire about their selection of ABC pants, and it took over an hour to get someone on the phone. That person said they'd check what colors they have in my size and be right back. I hung up after being on hold for over 10 minutes. I was not able to get through to the store for the next 1.5 hours. I was rather frustrated and close enough to the mall, so I decided to walk by and see if they were just super slammed or didn't give a crap. I called again a couple times from right outside the store and it appears they just like to ignore the phone even when they aren't busy. Worst experience I've had in a while. BTW I recently bought a new pair of ABC pants in black and would have bought all the other colors they had in stock. read more

I want to start off by acknowledging a few employees for their outstanding service. Paul, Will and Melissa thank you for your exceptional service in assisting me. You all set the bar extremely high. As for the quality, I've tried numerous brands such as Nike, Reebok, Adidas, LVFT, Under Armor and Champion to name a few. And all don't match the categories the way that LuLu does. I look for functionality, durability/longevity, cost, warrantee and last but not least, appearance. Lulu knocks it out the park when it comes to all of those. Yes they are pricy, however when you take in consideration that they will exchange your gear if it becomes defective (holes, tears, etc.) it's a no brainer. Customer Service does not exist at this firm. I bought a top and pair of pants for my wife as a gift for $200. As I guy I am always careful to get the gift receipt just incase I don't get the right size. Sure enough I did not get the right size. My wife tried to exchange the items so she could get the correct size. Let's be clear...she was not looking to get a refund, she was looking to exchange for gear that fit her AT LULULEMON. Gal at the register was rude, not accommodating and did I mention she was rude? Now my wife has a top and bottom that do not fit. I am out $200 and Lululemon is out 3 customers as the girlfriends that were at the store with my wife said they will never buy their clothes again. Too bad. The gear is great and my wife loves it, but the company policy at employee at this store are terrible. read more

I've been here several times and it's always the same, the employees tend to either acknowledge you or they don't. :( Their products are kind to the eyes, but you must be sure of what you're buying because you're paying enough for it. Always look for pilling or seams coming undone as they could be out in the shop on a hanger or in a shelf. I bought a few wunder unders and a run for fun pair, and they look nice on. But even with the correct size or one size up, they will be sheer in the bum when light hits it. My nude undies showed through and so did the VPLs. :| The return policy is only 14 days with tags attached and original receipt, the item can't be washed or worn for full refund. An employee might explain that to some customers but, like I said, there's not always interaction going on. I just found that on the receipt, but it's not convenient for someone who goes to the mall once in a while. I'll probably stick to the showroom in downtown. read more

The clothing is expensive, but well made. I still have my first pair of Groove Pants. I usually go to the Forum in Carlsbad, but visited this store twice since it was on my way home. Both times we were ignored by staff, that behaved like they were too good to be working and we're more interested in talking about their plans for Saturday night.
