As I venture deeper and deeper into eating low carb lifestyle, nutritiously I find my options are limited. For a few weeks I have been coming to Luna Grill. The meats taste great. The vegetables and salads are awesome. What is not so awesome is special diet flexibility and portion sizes. Upon my last visit I wanted something "more" than my usual "better beet bowl" (minus the feta) and add-on of sirloin. I thought a plate would suffice and I could sub something for pita and rice. I ordered lamb kabob and my chosen side was hummus. I thought id be able to get a side salad or something but I was told nothing gets subbed for rice or pita. I felt disappointed but thought id have enough lamb and hummus for almost $16 that I would not mind. Upon receiving my plate I was really disappointed. I have one tiny lamb kabob thats barely bigger than my fork and a cup of hummus. Wow, really you couldn't offer some kind of salad or additional veggie side in this case? I went to speak with the manager afterwards very politely to inquire about any other options they might have. I explained to her that I am diabetic and I cant eat rice or pita. She tried explaining she was diabetic also and that their food was "approved". While this might work for her, it does not work for me. I felt like she did her best appease me but ultimately provided no other options when ordering . I went back to my table and finished my meal pondering if I will ever come back here. The food tastes good, but its hard to support and establishment that does not or is unwilling to support my health efforts. The picture below speaks for itself. read more

Luxury fast food at its finest. I always enjoy eating at Luna Grill and the service here was outstanding. I really enjoy their plate offerings with two of my favorites, the flat cut chicken and grilled sirloin. The flat cut chicken is so mouth watering tender. The grilled sirloin is juicy and cooked just right, med rare. The plates come loaded with delicious rice, salad and pita bread. The delicious yogurt sauce is great for dipping the meats. You really can't go wrong here as everything is cooked to order and well worth the wait. read more

I am always one happy customer at this Luna Grill. It's clean, food is fresh and staff are very nice. I love everything on the menu, but usually order the Santorini Bowl with chicken. The Family Meals are great too when I need to feed more people. There is a great salmon plate and many vegetarian options too. Christian, the manager, is so helpful and Grace also! Luna Grill? The only thing that should be grilled are their employees in an interrogation room for threatening public health. I witnessed not 1, not 2, but 3 different Luna Grill employees taking out trash, wiping down tables, answering the phone, handling the register including money, serving food, and other various tasks... all without ever ONCE washing their hands at any point in the process. If they were willing to openly exhibit such gross behavior in front of customers, I am scared to imagine the heinous horrors that take place in the kitchen and other places that customers cannot easily see. The only thing more disgusting than their employees' lack of hygiene is their vile, under-seasoned food. read more

My friend has been telling me about this place forever and finally tried it. The food was amazing lots of options to choose from. The cashier was super friendly (his name was Saul)and I asked him what he suggested because I was so indecisive and he gave me some good options. Luna grill used to be one of my favorite spots when I was going to Cuyamaca College, fresh, not too pricey, and tasty. These days, it is still fresh but portions are smaller and the price is way up. For a salad and a kabob it is nearly $20. I would much rather go to sahara or up the road to crafted greens. read more

Purchased the Greek Salad with couscous. Checked in on Yelp & earned a free appetizer, (I chose the lemon chicken soup) Also ordered a blood orange draft beer to sip. They didn't have any beer mugs left so they asked if they could put it in a paper cup. I requested a wine glass instead, and they were happy to oblige. Food was delivered in a timely manner. Soup & salad both came with three triangles of naan bread on the side. Soup had very good lemon flavor. Salad was full of couscous, feta, onion, and tomatoes. It could have used a bit more dressing, but not bad enough to make me get up and go ask for extra dressing. Staff was friendly & helpful. They have a reward card that you can sign up for. My friend suggested Luna Grill instead of another breakfast spot. I was up for that because I never tried Mediterranean food, or maybe I have but don't remember. But I ended the chicken plate with bread sauce and the salad. I got some fries also, the portion size was okay for the price. Everything was fresh, light and good. Bad customer service, I called them at 4:50pm and the girl on the phone said 15-20 min i arrived at 5:20pm and my order was not rear ready. I had to complain and they started moving with it. Finally they got it ready at 5:30pm. it took the 40 min. I do understand they are busy but they should be upfront to the customers with their waiting times. The food here is always amazing, but I'm writing a review today because yesterday I went into the store to pick up an online order I made while driving, and when I arrived I found out I had put in the incorrect location. When I told one of the workers, he was so helpful and kind. He asked what I got, what location I put in, and helped me fix the situation.
