Upon referral from my father's PCP at Univ. of CA at Irvine, I scheduled an appointment for my father. By the fourth visit, on 3/24/26 at 10:49 am, consistent with other comments, Brett H. canceled due to "unexpected conflict today" from his personal email to an email rather than calling. Likely against Luna PT policy and procedure due to PHI on his personal device. My father's appointment was at 11:30 am. Completely unacceptable. My 85 year old father and mother waited in vain. When I called Luna PT to speak to a supervisor, the concierge, "Jean", who appears to be providing services outside the U.S. (she would not answer my question), stated "1 supervisor is available now" but asked me my concern. Once hearing my concern, she read from a script over and over ("rest assured I have documented what you told me), and tried to encourage me to disconnect because not find any supervisor. Unclear if there is a Business Associate Agreement in place. 30 minutes call with no supervisor. "Jean" stated she could not help me and disconnected my call. read more

My physical therapist was a very nice young man. However...my total visits added up to three, III, 3, one more than 2! I was instructed in the completion of three, III, 3, one more than 2 exercises. One of those exercises caused additional pain in a location of my body, which didn't originally have pain. Another exercise was walking up my stairs favoring my injured knee, turning around and coming down those stairs, again favoring the injured knee - which I didn't consider much of an exercise since my knee hurt and I was traversing my stairs in this manner already without therapeutic instruction. This exercise was explained in a dumbed-down version of Psychobabble, which I translated to insure I was understanding intent. Other words baby the right knee, but eventually force use of the right knee or the right knee will never gain strength. I terminated Luna as apparently I was a difficult patient and poorly understood that my goal was to gain strength sooner rather than later although I understood well that billing my insurance was a lucrative and worthwhile endeavor for Luna. After discussion with my insurance carrier, I attempted to contact Luna's managerial staff to discuss their billing, having given them five days for response I finally paid the exorbitant bill as I care about maintaining my 796 and 802 credit ratings. I view this as tremendously unfair and would recommend, instead of Luna, Dr. Jeremiah Ray of Hoag Hospital in Foothill Ranch who refers to a physical therapy clinic across the lobby from his office, but only if you're serious about your full and expeditious recovery. read more

The PT was awesome! I was expecting neck pain to be joints, but after two days of therapy, it's much reduced. Therapy involved exercises and serious massaging of, and pressure on, muscles. And she greatly alleviated pain in SI joint with massage and exercises as well. Convenience of in-home PT made it so much better than going to a gym. read more

Luna PT is different than any out there, I love the fact it has an app on my phone with all the stretches to help me. It helps stay organized with knowing all the appointments for my PT and I can also communicate with Luna staff or my PT Matt. Luna's program is unlike any other where it allows me to get the at home care I need and Matt starts me with basic foundation to help with my fibromyalgia and pain so I can get better. I've noticed such an improvement in my body and my overall mood. I still have flare ups but he helps work through them. read more

Angel is excellent. He is punctual and ready to begin care. He gives his 200% care to the patient and answers all the questions. He provides home exercises. He is easy to get along and I feel fortunate to have a very knowledgeable DPT taking care of my foot after surgery. I must admit setting up the appt with Luna was difficult the first 2 times. They said they were going to call, but did not. 3rd time was a charm and easy!! No regrets at all. The DPT visits home and I am not rushing after work to get to an office and waiting around. I get the one on one time with the therapist for the entire time and he is watching that I am doing the exercises correctly. Definitely I highly recommend Luna. I tried PT in an office for a few weeks, I was not making any progress, the swelling on my foot was getting worse. The pain was increasing. Basically, I was shown several exercises and the PT left to go to the next client and checked in with me when I was about to leave. 1) I never knew if I was doing the exercises correctly. 2) no one ever answered my questions. 3) the PT was different each time. With Luna 1) they are demonstrating and checking form as you do the exercises and correct. 2) answer questions.... I have a lot. 3) PT is the same weekly. 4) PT will ask how I am feeling. Will check for pain and tenderness in the foot. Will ask how Dr. Follow ups are going. PT made a recommendation and suggested I check with Dr if a compression socket will help my foot. I checked with Doctor and he recommended that is a great idea and will help. I am very happy with Angel, the PT from Luna. read more

After coming to our home for several weeks, the physical therapist decided to spend more than half of yesterday's appointment having my mom data enter a ton of detailed information about her health without giving her information about where the data was going or what it was being used for. As the patient's DPOA, I asked 2 detailed questions to which she gave partial answers and became very rude about it. I finally told her I had heard enough and I walked out of the room. She turned to the patient and told I was rude. I came back and she continued to argue AT me in the middle of the Patient's appointment. I tried 3x to shut it down, but finally just had to walk out of the room a second time to which she yelled childish words of "oh go ahead just walk away". It was incredibly unprofessional. I have more than 20 years of experience in the health field and have never been called rude for asking questions about why the data was being collected and what it was going to be used. Such an unfortunate interchange and complete waste of an appointment. Whether she is or isn't a good Physical Therapist is irrelevant now. She is no longer welcome in the Patient's home. read more

I started with Luna PT earlier this year. The intake process was easy and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They sent the physical therapist to my home, and I was blessed! My PT is Michael Ngo He is professional, kind, educated in the mind body connection, empathetic and a fantastic teacher. I am 65 years old and have chronic pain after a spine fracture, which triggered a landslide of other health issues. Michael is helping me learn my limits and how to push those limits without hurting myself. All of the exercises and therapies he is teaching me are manageable and are helping me. If I'm having a hard week I take them slow and pace myself. If I'm feeling good I can do the whole routine I would highly recommend Luna PT and specifically Michael Ngo!! Great excellent and comes to your home for PT.. I was bedridden and I couldn't have walked to PE. I had a stress fracture in my leg. My physical therapist, his name was Eric He was fabulous He did everything well to me. He showed me exercises that were easy to do he cared. He made sure everything was perfect. I've had to have home Physical Therapy a couple times over the years. This is by far the best service I've had hands down. Padminiba is professional, knowledge, and advances me just right. I'm up walking with minimal assistance less than a week after total hip replacement. She has a caring nature about her. She never seems rushed or clock watches like some in the past. I had the luxury of Post-Op right total hip replacement Physical Therapy in the privacy of my own home, provided by my Splendid Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Nasser Nassif. My Therapist, Steve Le, of Luna Physical Therapy, brought all necessary equipment, including portable table, within 48 hours after my surgery. Compared to NO physical therapy prescription by my first Orthopedic Surgeon for 2 weeks, after my right total hip replacement three months ago; (only walking), I am now 1 month ahead of where I was in recovery then, after only 1 1/2 weeks now! I am successfully climbing 2 flights of stairs (one stair per leg again!), walking 2 blocks three times a day, and driving, cooking, cleaning and dining out! The best part is that I'm Pain Free, and have my LIFE (and Future) back. In other words, I got a GRIP, By Golly!!! Not only did Steve provide the Excercises necessary to improve strength, stamina and range of motion, he carefully inspected the area downstairs to which I kept confined at night, for any unnoticed hazards, and fixed equipment I was using, after spotting a faulty installation. He brought new confidence- building Excercises and equipment twice a week, and encouraged me every step of the way, carefully noting ongoing accomplishments, concentrations and angle measurements on his clipboard. Steve's dedication, patience, commitment and expertise were Inspirational in achieving Excellence, both to me and my family. The atmosphere after the two surgeries were markedly different. Post-Op, my first surgery was filled with fatigue, self centric vulnerability, and worry for any possible side effects, with goals of simply taking my pills on time , icing, and avoiding conflict, while feeling like I was "just in the way" of people who had to do things for me, (like pick things up) even though only temporarily. It was a lonely space, as is doing anything Worthwhile, for the very first time. Again then, as now, Physical Therapy snapped me right out of it! Only now, the replacement procedure post -op was second nature; thanks to Steve, I had concrete goals, times, and preparations to accomplish, that kept my mind on the business at hand, (rather than on myself), and my Family fell in line right behind me. No longer the "helpless victim", I now led The Charge! I was clear headed, optimistic, but most of all, So Very Grateful to all those Magnificent Human Beings dedicated to promoting my success and complete recovery. While the challenge of my first surgery required a great deal of stamina, courage and faith, my last surgery simply became Second Nature, such that my Spirit Soared with confidence! Now With a set schedule Post-Op, my family had a firm agenda around which to plan. What a winning Team! I have Brand New Legs, that no one can take away from me, and I'm So Proud!!! My travel plans are booked for the next year, (and rumor has it, that I may even snow ski again!!!) Reason enough to make sure I fit back into my Bibs muy pronto. My first surgery was a Revelation and my last was a Snap!!! I credit the expert care of my entire team, my Surgeon, my Physical Therapist, and my Wonderful Family, for restoring me to Great Health, self-respect and self-esteem. Blessings. read more

This company seems to be operating in CA by avoiding their staff from filing under the W-4 tax status and is operating under a 1099 (contractor) status. This seems suspect and inconsistent with the ABC test for independent contracted physical therapists. I couldn't get the therapist to tell me if she was insured for malpractice through Luna or self. That's concerning. I didn't want to be seen again since it seems that Luna is avoiding responsibility for the therapist, and the therapist was clueless (at least that's what she presented to be). read more

A physical therapist is authorized for 4 at-home 1-hour session after my hip replacement surgery. The surgery was performed by Dr. Nader Nassif of Newport Orthopedic Institute and performed at Hoag Orthopedic Institute in Irvine, CA. My Luna therapist is Peter Ebiner. So far I have had two at-home sessions with Peter. He is very good explaining and assigning exercises, measuring my swelling, massaging sore muscles, explaining which muscles are sore, and what's normal vs. of concern after a hip replacement. He explained what hip & leg movements to avoid while healing from the surgery. He also assesses my walking gait. He assigns the exercises on the Luna app on my iPhone. The app is easy to use to run through the assigned exercises each day - it has a video and timer for each exercise. I also used the app to contact Peter when I had a question and he replied very quickly through the app. It also lists my 4 appointments. On the most recent visit (8 days post-surgery) and with the OK from my surgeon's office Peter removed my incision dressing that was put on at the hospital. read more
