    fettuccine ai funghi porcini
    Mark H.

Great food on Mother's Day, not cheap, some misses on service. A wall makes it hard for the host to see people waiting for a table. If the host is not at the front, then ring the bell. A potential customer rang the bell to attract attention, no one appeared, and she left. Liked the food: fettuccine ai funghi porcini, seven lobster ravioli, and panine or sandwich with meatballs and fries! The lobster was finely ground but might have had more flavor if it was coarse ground. Host seemed upset that we had no reservations, even though there were several unreserved tables. The waiters were friendly. Our breadbasket was not refilled. Plates were cleared quickly. We were not asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu. So, we did not ask for the dessert menu and left.

This place was amazing. We had a family reunion & enjoyed our food. We came 45 miles, another couple came the same 45 miles, another couple came from Missouri . Steve was our server and was super friendly. My lamb chops was a bit tough. Steve gave me a little discount. So nice of him.

We came here with a large group of 17 people. I will say service was a tad bit slow, but this could be due to our large party. The food was pretty decent. We tried the calamari which was pretty crisp, some crostini with prosciutto, and many other items. They serve complimentary bread, olive oil and balsamic and it is refillable. As for the main dish, I tried the fettucine with shrimp in alfredo sauce and mushrooms. This was a huge portion and very tasty. For desserts, we tried the creme brulee and tiramisu. Tiramisu was better than the creme brulee, but it was still good. All in all, it was a solid spot but the lunch did take ~2 hours for our large party. The server was very kind despite being short staffed and running around. He brought out plenty of boxes and bags for us to take our leftovers. Thank you Luna Rossa!

The food was delicious! We opted for sharing a small (not so small) Caesar and a happy hour Margherita pizza. It was very filling and we were shocked to get out of there spending just over $20 for food. The salad was fantastic with an abundance of large shaved parmesan pieces. The sauce on the pizza was perfect and the crust was light, airy and had a crispy crunch. Service was attentive. We seriously cannot wait to try other items on the menu. Yum!

Came across Luna Rossa while at the District and thought it might be connected with a restaurant with same name in Las Cruces NM. Turns out they are both independent and not affiliated with each other after all. Regardless, Luna Rossa didn't disappoint and the food was quite tasty. Since we only had the calamari which we rated a 5/5 and the Margherita Pizza on the other hand was good but not great (4/5!) The ambience of the restaurant inside and out was nice and very inviting, imho. Service was top notch and I definitely will be returning the next time I crave Italian food!! Enjoy & Bon Appetit.

Great food and service. We all love our food choices: seafood pasta, lobster ravioli, salmon pasta. Love the seafood pasta. Full of flavor. Not too busy on Friday afternoon.

We came here for a late lunch and had not made a reservation. However the restaurant was empty and were quickly seated. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and spaghetti. The service was excellent and quick. The food was authentic and delicious. They did mention they get busy and there's a wait in the evenings so I would recommend coming here a lunch time to have their food!

The food was just okay. Ordered the lasagna which was good in taste and my spaghetti was bland with no flavor. They do ask for Parmesan that they sprinkle over the food but it wasn't fresh Parmesan that is grated in front of you. The service was friendly and a little slow to help us. Went when it opened and It took a while before someone helped us get seated. Ambiance was very quiet since we got there when it open. Overall for us it was a one and done place, I do believe for the quality of the food that it was a bit over priced and very small portions.

After a long awaited visit. We were so disappointed. Not only did the food not meet our expectations (it was bland) but the service was so bad and it wasn't even busy for a Saturday night. I guess I know why now. Our waiter had no personality, rushed the process of ordering, never checked back on our food, never brought refills, didn't bring the coffee I ordered and did t even offer us any dessert. We drove all the way from the SGV to be let down. I honestly would've not tipped him at all, but my hubby is too nice and still tipped. No manager in sight to communicate these issues either. I had the margheritta pizza it was bland My husband had a chicken plate and it had so much sauce, it overpowered all the taste of the food. My son ordered the Gnocchi and it was also bland. The only thing that was ok was the chicken Alfredo. So sad we wasted time and money here.

We were just leaving The District, when out of the corner of my eye I saw this Pizzaria . It was a very windy evening so as soon as we came inside and led into the main dining room ' we were greeted by bright yellow walls plush fashionable booths and they've got their own Bar. It's like being in a someone's house with a very Medium size foyer and a welcoming dining area that'll warm your heart. It's almost like it could be a hotel wish you could stay there for a night or two. There's a a section that looks like it could be a loft. With stylish itialian dishes calamari ziti , All in all very enjoyable experience.

One of my favorite pasta spots in OC! This is the only restaurant that we've found that makes carbonara the traditional way! Smooth, creamy pasta with a subtle egg taste. The pancetta is cooked beautifully and not overcooked. We also had the chefs special which was a form of ravioli with a slow roasted beef. The creamy sauce was not overwhelming and was surprisingly filling. We finished with one of the bomba desserts which is an ice cream ball covered in har chocolate and cut into fours like an apple. This is our new favorite Italian spot and it was fairly priced for the quality of food!

Fettuccine Al Funghi Porcini (take out)
    Kent R.

This is absolutely my favorite Italian restaurant in OC. There's a reason I feel confident posting a takeout picture because the food is that good. You walk in and are immediately met with restaurant accolades and the host that greets you is the same one I've seen every time I've ever been here. This place has an unpretentious vibe while still being high end. In addition to consistently great service, the food has always been incredible. The fettuccine porcini al fungi is the dish I dream about when I think of pasta. I have never really thought of dropping a review because this place is my go to next to home but it definitely deserves the praise. Don't ever change Luna Rossa.

It wasn't overly cornmealish like some of these "authentic" Chicago pizza places. I grew up out here in the west, so I'm used to a more flaky light crust. My first Deep Dish Chicago pizza was Zachary's in Berkeley in the Bay Area. This Costa Mesa location is located just south of the 405 at Harbor Blvd. Go to Baker Street and turn left and it's right there. Easy Parking. One thing you gotta know about the deep dish pizzas, they take longer to cook cause they're just so big and need more cooking time, like maybe 35-40 minutes, depending on how busy the kitchen is. We get a classic combo pizza and have some drinks while we wait. It arrives and oh boy does that look good. Dishing it out takes a little practice, but we're good at that now! I love a good thin crust, and the fresh ingredients really won me over. The price is also very reasonable. A large pizza is under $30, which I think is a great deal--honestly, I'd even say it's on the cheaper side these days. They don't have different pizza sizes. You can either order by the slice or get a whole pizza. One thing I really liked is that you can split a whole pizza in half and choose two different flavors. That's definitely a big plus, especially when you're ordering for a group. The pizza itself is surprisingly light and clean-tasting. Even though you're eating pizza, it doesn't feel heavy or greasy at all, and I didn't feel weighed down afterward. Now, one small downside: you have to pay for water, and even hot sauce or ranch costs extra. Since the pizza itself is reasonably priced, I'm not really complaining, but... if I have to pay extra for every little thing, I can't exactly say I'm thrilled about it. I did really enjoy their habanero hot sauce, though! It had a slightly unique flavor that I really liked. After eating with my friends, I seriously debated whether I should buy a whole pizza to take home for the kids. I loved how thin and light the pizza was, but for my personal taste, it was a little... ordinary. It wasn't quite a "WOW, I have to have this again!" kind of pizza for me. So I decided to pass this time and thought, "Maybe next time if I'm in the area." Would I come back? Yes! If I get the chance, I definitely would.

Best Margherita Pizza in Orange County!…read more I have been ordering pizzas from The Parlor for a long time. Although they serve other food, I have always ordered margherita pizzas. In my humble opinion, they make the best pizza in Orange County! MARGHERITA PIZZA IS DELICIOUS. Each hand-made pizza features premium fior di latte mozzarella cheese layered on top of fresh red tomato sauce. The crust is thin and chewy, with just the right amount of char characteristic of a true Neopolitan pizza. All pizzas are cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven; and all of my pizza orders have been flawless. Thank you very much to Jimmy and his hard-working kitchen crew. My pizzas have been absolutely delicious! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. The front counter staff is very friendly and makes every customer feel genuinely welcome. They are personable and efficient, and work really hard to deliver meals to their customers as quickly as possible, even when there is a long line of customers. Everything is clean and pristine and the menu is easy to read. Thank you very much to Megan and her amazing counter crew! TL/DR: the pizzas from The Parlor are delicious and worth the wait!

The Parlor has officially become my new go to. I've had this place three days in a row now, and…read moresomehow they keep getting better. This time I went with the Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe with mushrooms and fennel sausage, and wow... phenomenal. Creamy, peppery, rich, with the mushrooms and sausage taking it to another level. The pepperoni pizza with oyster mushrooms was just as impressive. The crust, the pepperoni, the mushrooms everything works. And I can't forget the raspberry cookies. Those were the perfect little finish and honestly way too easy to eat. At this point, The Parlor has officially raised the bar. Everything I've had has been phenomenal, and this is without question my new go to Italian spot.
