I had French Onion soup, perhaps the best bowl I've had, and I split a grilled vegetable sandwich that was a delight. Rosa, our server was incredibly personable while maintaining professionalism. She was extremely accommodating to our grandson who is 16 mos. She brought him his grilled cheese first as she could tell he was a hungry toddler. The steak or carnitas tacos are to die for I can't say enough good things about them. Everything else including the pizza is top-notch. And a full bar to boot! The lunch box is a cozy, casual, friendly dining restaurant with excellent food. I'm constantly amazed at the quality of the food for the price. My latest faves are the pizza, chicken wings, and their french toast is delicious. For a place that offers such a wide range they do it all right. My dad had a scallop salad the other day and they were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I've had many a mediocre fish meal at fancier restaurants. Small place. We were disappointed to find out you couldn't order breakfast at 10:45. Not certain what times they stop serving on other days but this was a Saturday. Service was ok. Staff was too busy to be friendly. I ordered a fried chicken plate. It came out steaming hot. It was juicy but needed seasoning in the crust and meat. The plate came with slaw (tasteless but fresh) and delicious French fries. Not frozen for certain. Man friend got the pork belly Reuben..he said it was greasy but to me, shouldn't it be. I mean, PORK BELLY..how could it not be? He ordered onion straws for $1.00 more than fries. The flavor was good but became soggy shortly after they sat down. I came here because i was in the area and it had good reviews on yelp. Well, yelp wasn't wrong. I had ordered a tuna melt ala carte and it was delicious. I substituted mayo for their house aioli which is super flavorful (loved it) and the tomato for onion (super fresh) and then i added bacon (cooked great, crunchy and flavorful). Overall that wrap was awesome. It was exactly what you would expect from a sandwich shop. I ordered some fries on the side and the sweet potato fries were awesome i loved it! The prices were good. Defiantly a great upgrade from the old Lunch Box. Services is good and menu has the potential to awesome if the kitchen executed a little better. Burger is good but meat needs to be seasoned properly. Seems like good quality beef. Fish taco were average. Fried chicken was quite greasy, oil might need to be hotter. Fries also need to be crispier and seasoned. Again over all a great upgrade and a really nice menu, just need to kick it up a notch in the kitchen. One big issue that has prevented me from going back more often is that most of the tables are 2 tops. Place is small and there are very few 4 tops. Would be a great place for family but never seems to be space. Weston needs something like this. There is NO food out here. I hope the restaurant does well. read more

This is a convenient local place. The decor is bright and friendly even thought the restaurant is small. Their food is consistently good though the service is always slow. When they get busy either expect to wait a loooong time or just get up and leave. They have tasty salads and specials you wouldn't expect for a local joint. This is the only game in town and not a good one. Keep your foot on the accelerator until you get to Westport. The food is very inconsistent and overpriced. A kale salad one day may be delicious but four days later, old wrinkled up kale leaves underneath the top layer, dressing unevenly mixed in with dry areas -- for $10. The food here has been vastly improved in the last two years. We live in town and generally want to stop here because we know the food will be good. One problem however is the music is loud and obnoxious and it drives us away. Many times we are nearby at the library and want to stop in for lunch but we remember how loud the music is and disruptive, s and we wind up driving into Westport for lunch. 8-15-18: It seems the mind-numbing dumb music has been at least turned down and not so obnoxious. read more

We had a great experience! Very family friendly--we have a 2 yo girl (crazy) and a 5 yo boy (acts better than her, but still 5). We stopped in for lunch and were delighted to find the most family friendly spot I think we have even been. There is a chalkboard wall!! I have literally never been anywhere that has 6 high-chairs on hand!! The staff was amazing. There was a wait for a table but they were courteous, realistic, yet swift to get us seated. Upon being seated the kiddos got lunch boxes with crayons and a coloring sheet to decorate their own lunch box, opposite side was the menu! Genius! The food was delicious. Notable was the Philly Cheesesteak! It was sliced thin and served on Wave Hill bread. We even had a chance to speak with the owner/chef and he was lovely. Thanked him for a lovely meal. They're trying really hard and I can see that, because they're very nice and I thought the service was good. So I didn't give 2 stars, but there are some things that need fixing. For starters, in my opinion, the place should be cleaner. It's not filthy (although I haven't seen their bathroom), but I like places where I eat to be really clean. We've been there a few times and the food is good in some respects, but kind of basic and I don't get a feeling of quality like I have in another sandwich shop that is just as close to my house. Having just moved into Weston, I've eaten here at least 6-8 times in the last month or two. Each time has been an enjoyable and tasteful experience! I like the food and enjoy the atmosphere. The wait staff done a pretty good job despite (at times) being seemingly overwhelmed. This place (the only in town) gets busy! But they handle it well! Happy to have it so close to home! This is for sure better than the old lunch box. The iced coffee is delicious. I was really disappointed with my pizza however. I ordered a chicken pizza with onions and peppers on it. The chefs had clearly added the vegetables onto the pizza after sending the pizza into the oven, and then sending it in for a few minutes afterwards.
